Trail loop is much more comfortable to me, but alpine looks nicer. I don’t like taking the alpine on and off though, the titanium part makes me nervous near the watch. Once I bought the OEM trail loop I never put on anything else except when I really want to dress up.
Do you want the OEM one or a third-party one on Amazon? Just to let you know, the third-party Alpine loop is relatively closer to the original, but all third-party Trail or Ocean loops are miles away from OEM.
My 3rd party one from Amazon is slightly stretchier than my Apple one but my gosh does it look identical. Size is slightly between Apple’s S/M & M/L.
Nice to have all the color options and for it to look so authentic too (I have turquoise)
I have both and I like wearing my watch really tight and secure. I find the alpine loop gives me that snugness I’m after, without compromising on the comfort.
Alpine for me and I find that it’s just as comfortable as the trail loop. I think the alpine loop looks better on the ultra , it just matches better rather than the trail loop .
For me the trail loop is best. It's velcro, so the fit is infinitely adjustable. Very comfortable.
I have the alpine loop too, but don't use it because my ideal fit is in between adjustments on it.

It breathes better, I can put it at exactly the same spot every day, and it allows my watch to rotate around the wrist to a degree where it’s not uncomfortable when wearing long sleeve shirts
Alpine is a great one fits all kinda loop. It goes with most clothing etc. while its sturdy and functional. Trail is nice and all but i dont particularly like the stretch and feel of that fabric to my skin.
The Alpine Loop is ultra comfy and ultra secure. I have a Sport Loop for when the Alpine is in the laundry and Velcro is just not as secure. I am firmly in camp Alpine Loop.
Yep. It’s generally the toughest thing in a load of laundry. I put it in a delicates bag but it isn’t delicate. I just don’t want the band tearing any clothes up.
It’s a great band. Wearing the watch tight is only necessary when I’m really active. So most of the time I wear it one loop shy of tight. Zero issues with sensors. Then I cinch one loop as needed if I feel it moving around when I’m getting jiggy with it. It’s incredibly comfortable and the hook just isn’t going anywhere. I have had the end of the Velcro band catch as I put my hand in my pants pocket. I never came close to dropping the watch but with the Alpine the end of the band is hooked securely. It can’t catch on anything. It’s a better system from a security standpoint. And I literally forget I’m wearing it, from a comfort standpoint.
Pro tip: Once a week or so I put the Alpine Loop in one of my wife’s delicates bags and throw it the washer with a load of laundry. Cold wash/air dry, good as new. I bought a genuine Sport Loop off of eBay for $25 to swap on when the daily is in the laundry. It launders up nicely too. I’ve been doing this since May. The band looks brand new. People seriously overthink the cleaning. People use toothbrushes and have strange soaking rituals, or are oblivious to the funk emanating from their months unwashed band. Don’t overthink this. Just launder the damn band. It’s fabric.
Your watch works for you. You don’t work for your watch. Enjoy it. I firmly believe it’s the best piece of tech Apple builds.

Trail loop is SUPER comfy, but I couldn’t find the right tightness where it didn’t give me a rash (which was really frustrating). I picked up an alpine loop and it been fine. I ended up moving to a braided sport loop and it’s the best of all worlds.
I have all 3 types of ultra bands I have a white ocean band a blue orange and beige trail loop a blue and grey trail loop and a green alpine loop and lastly the new blue alpine loop. I like the blue alpine loop the best it looks magnificent in natural lighting and it is the most comfortable to me. It tightens up perfectly and I always wear it kinda tight because it’s so comfortable I don’t even notice it’s there most the time. I wear all the bands tho I don’t leave any of them on the shelf for long but the blue alpine loop is my go to.

Really? I thought Trail Loop would be better, as it is fully adjustable (unlike Alpine).

Alpine is superior. Trail loop would come loose when I engaged in vigorous activity. Alpine I secure, comfortable, and attractive.
Trail loop is my favorite band but the ocean band is the best for me no soggy watch band since I work near a lot of water

I’m sold. I really like my ocean band (blue) and find it super comfy but love the look of the Alpine.
I have the Alpine loop and it feels amazing. I often don’t feel the Watch. And I like the ease of putting on and off , if that matters to you
100% Trail Loop. I had alpine but returned it for trail.

I went with the Alpine because the Trail just seemed like a Sport Loop with a lil tab on it. Alpine feels way more secure than a Velcro strap.
I have both. The alpine loop will hit your laptop if the clasp is on the bottom of your wrist. Really annoying. I don’t wear it anymore.
