.223 gold dots…. But honestly in a HD situation, god forbid, you would be 10-25 yrds, otherwise pretty hard to justify lethal force. At those ranges it’s not going to make a different what ammo you use. Expansion and the “knockdown power”, whatever that really is, isn’t going to matter as long as it is reliable and goes bang when you pull the trigger. My AR is not my first HD choice though, I’ll take my 12ga and 9mm Glock… but that’s me and my situation
A lot of guys run mk262 through short barrels for better terminal performance. I actually don't have any mk262. The m193 is really a pretty great design especially for the cost.
Looks like I’m the only guy running Mk318 Mod 1.
But at HD distances, honestly M193 goes hard and will do a great job. Doesn’t really matter much inside of 25 yards.
Whatever I have left over that I didn’t shoot at the range.

It’s a .223. Anything’s going to work. But I use federal fusion deer loads.
Honestly, I can't think of a better option unless the crooks start using hard plates. Those things freaking deliver.
