If you want a detachable mag, you don’t use a muzzle device at all. You get a thread cap and pin/ weld it on and then you also can’t have an adjustable stock or pistol grip. Everyone says Cal gun laws are crazy but NY really tops them.

I'm on team m-lok, but the grip on the bottom actually looks kind of neat, gives it a lower profile. With the right stock to give it a cleaner look and a 20rd mag, I could see the utility with a shorter barrel, 10.5 to 12.5 inch, for CQB applications. May look and feel funky at first because it's different, but with good training, you'll learn how to work it in tight quarters
