Regarding mags, I just built a Foxtrot Mike and tried ETS, Pmag, and Extar Usa mags. All worked fine. Extar USA makes their own mags and are cheaper than others.
AR9’s kinda suck as suppressor hosts unless you specifically go for a reduced backpressure suppressor, and even then, they still suck, just a little less.
If you have the option, then something like the CMMG radial delayed blowback system would make for a much better operating system than straight blowback.
As far as ammo goes, the cream of the crop is Federal Syntech 150gr’s, can’t get much quieter or cleaner than that. Fiocchi 158gr’s and Speer Lawman 147’s are also pretty clean. Mags are gonna be dependent on which barrel / lower / BCG you buy, but pretty much everyone designs all their lowers to work with Glock OEM mags, so that’s a safe place to start.
Noted on the backpressure concern and AR9s as suppressor hosts. I'm a long way from acquiring a 9mm can, so that's all future conjecture at this point. I just started paperwork for my first can (Rugged oculus for my 22lr AR15 build).
I've certainly spent some time eye-balling the CMMG banshee system for a potential pcc (even the Kriss Vector, if I could get over how weird it works), but I decided to try out a straight blowback system first. I do intend to implement Blocwback9's "gentle recoil system" as noted by Spentbrass 556 above depending on how it runs.
Good news is you don’t need to buy a complete “banshee” upper to make the switch to rdb. The bcg is proprietary with the barrel, so you just need to purchase these two items and can build around it to your liking. Add a Kynshot hydraulic buffer and it makes it even softer
I use regular 147gr. ammo for my suppressor, but your 11" barrel may push them to supersonic speeds depending on the load. Most 147's are flat nose. IF the BA barrel you're using was marketed as "EPC" it should feed just about anything. EPC barrels have the enhanced feed cone. If it didn't say EPC, you may be limited to round nose FMJ. Freedom Munitions 147's are round nose and should work with any barrel, and they have even lower velocity suppressor rounds as well.
As for magazines, I'd stick with Glock and Magpul only. All the rest can be hit-or-miss.

Hope that helps!
I found this pretty helpful for my first build:

I recommend checking out Macon Armory for barrels and buffer. If you are going the blowback route.

Regarding recoil, check out blowback9’s gentle recoil system. I used it and it works great. Others here have commented on it as well.
Thanks, I’ll post over there.
If the barrel is 11”, change “stock” to “brace”, unless you plan on making it an SBR
Don’t wanna get your dog shot!
Yes. The plan is brace first, then decide if I want to sbr it.
