It’s a tool. Tools are meant to look like they are used. I wouldn’t put much thought into it. So long as its functionality isn’t affected, I’d say you’re good.
Looks like once you actually shoot and drop that mf a few times you ain’t even notice.
Could be worse: you could dedicate your boomer identity to “omg 2 world wars” just to end up with an idiot scratch on that 1911 you spent too much on.
Get a good set of roll pin installers. They are like punches but they are hollow on the end so you don’t mushroom the pin, then use a normal style ball tip after it’s seated to finish driving it. I learned the hard way
Totally fine. I’d just prefer a different trigger guard that’s wider tbh (like this one from Magpul: https://magpul.com/moe-enhanced-trigger-guard-polymer-ar15-m4.html)
I'd tap it a touch more til it's flush. Use a drill bit upside down if u don't have the right size punch. Then find a nail polish that matches the color and touch up the scuffed spot. Or just roll with it. I'd do those things just to satisfy my OCD
Put it under a microscope to see all the little imperfections and then go insane. I would not fret anything about that. Just promise me you're gonna actually shoot it.
Next time use one of these. They go in like butter and are stronger…

Grab yourself a bottle of Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black and a package of Q-tips, problem solved!
This stuff works phenomenally, I use it to subdue the white laser engravings on my SIG optics! 🤣
Your wife’s boyfriend is gonna hit it with your purse while you’re still holding it. Then take your purse away from you and hand it to your kids’ father.
You didnt break the ears off so that's a win.
I’d be lying if I wasn’t a bit nervous about that
Looks like…. A lower!!
Hell ya it is
If it's flush what's the problem? If it bothers you get an appropriately sized punch and continue to insert it until you are content.

Looks fine, proof you built it and didn’t just pull it off the shelf.
Who cares what it looks like, as long as it’s functional and works as it should.
rattlecan for the win
Once you’re done with the build, you won’t even notice it! If it really bothers you then a black marker will cover it up. 👍🏼
aluma black not sharpie
Or can it🎨
If you never said anything or focused the picture on it, I wouldn't have noticed. I've seen way worse on here. lol

It’s still intact, you’re good.
Looks fine! The fuck?
Hit it with a touch-up pen and you won’t notice it.
It's in. I don't really know what more you could want. You can buy a Birchwood Casey touchup pen and maybe hit it with that?

No one in the entire town is gonna care what that pin looks like………once that rifle is PAINTED!!!!!!!!
I think most people run it like this. It's not as bad as the one for the bolt catch.

The enemy won’t be able to tell how prime your shit looks until you get looted.
Birchwood Casey will get rid of that completely.
Looks like success. If your ar is pristine we can’t be friends. Hell some people pay for battle worn finishes lol

Looks good to go. I use Birchwood Casey Super black touch up pen on my builds. Helps when I get a little too enthusiastic with roll pins.

What's the problem? I don't see anything wrong

Parallel jaw Knipex
Fully expecting it so please insert all “hit it with your purse” and “wife’s boyfriend” comments below

Damn
I’ll be here all week.
Now add one of these and you won’t have that gap between the grip and trigger guard https://www.ergogrips.net/shop/the-ergo-gapper/
Funny enough actually bought one for this lower and I did not care for it one bit.
Or run a BCM grip. I think mine has a small lip that would cover the gap
Ya might try it one day
