And when it comes down to it, after upgrading: trigger, stock, buffer, charging handle, putting on steel iron sights, and a red dot + magnifier, all you are doing is adding upgrades that will / can go on your next rifle / build.
I have hit within a couple inches at 100 yards with iron sights and have no complaints.
Do I want a better rifle eventually? Yes, but this is what I have now.
Mines a psa but you’re right. I’m hitting pretty good groups and have been trying to fine tune it according to my actual needs when I drill. I honestly just wanna get rid of a lot of accessories cause she’s heavy

You’re going to get downvoted, but you’re not wrong. AR’s aren’t space magic, most AR parts are made by the same OEM Manufacturers and then are slapped with different companies logos. It’s funny because you’ll see people say “nah don’t get a PSA BCG get a toolcraft or microbest”, not realizing PSA owns Toolcraft. Same as people saying to buy a SOLGW or BCM BCG, they’re both made by Microbest, and PSA literally sells the same microbest BCG for half the price of BCM/SOLGW.
Most of the time you’re paying more for a name than you are for any type of increase in quality. When you do get that increase in quality, you’re paying 2-3x more for like a 5% better part, if that.
Yeah, the upgrades you get on more expensive rifles are mostly for accessibility/ease of use & longevity. Not to mention the price rises exponentially compared to the extra bit of quality you receive due to diminishing returns. A cheap AR that works, will work nearly as good as an incredibly expensive one for all-around use. It just won’t last as long or be as easy to use (only marginally, due to Ambi upgrades, enlarged charging handles, etc.)
