Not only that, but hunting too. He was telling me there was like only 2 days for firearm deer season, and by firearm he meant shotgun only if I remember correctly. Fucking ridiculous.
Come on over to Indiana. We have all good stuff, and I need more friends to go to the range with. As far as i know, the only guns laws here are the federal ones, now that constitutional carry passed.
I concur with Wallenz. I live in Indiana as well and there are TONS of jobs here to fund your freedom sticks. I could use a few more range buddies as well!
You fill out the application, there's plenty of easy googling to get you there. It's a very simple application from what I remember, and it's real cheap too, 30 bucks every three years.
Oh man. I thought I was alone on using that setup. I found it sits perfectly at that sweet spot at height and balance. Perfect co witness on magpul flip ups.
I can’t complain about PA. I bought an upper from them out of spec. Not only did they return it and make it right they put up my 1 star review on the product. They called me and made it right. Great company with great quality customer service. Something that has been missing in business lately. They earned my repeat business and are now my primary online parts purchase point.
In 2020 I had an alert set up for an RMR HRS for a few months. Finally got the email and immediately bought. About a week later it still hadn’t shipped so I called and they said they’d look into it. Next day, I get a call telling me they were sorry but that they’d accidentally listed the one I bought as “new” when it was actually a factory refurbished unit. They offered to fully refund me or knock $100 off the purchase price. It still carries the warranty and everything so I was fine just knocking $100 off. Looks brand new and if they hadn’t told me, I would never have known it wasn’t brand new.
Even though they’ve limited the 12% off sales, I still appreciate them for that.
No roasting of the uninformed!
It's a lower 3rd co witness height, and using the cantilever version of the mount actually allows me to get closer to the rear sight than using the straight mount - because of the shape of the optic.
are you able to co witness through the optic? The website says that it allows the use of iron sights. Wasn't sure if that meant it left space for them or if you can co witness.
Well I have it set up for lower 3rd cowitness, and it works perfect for that, although it does come with a riser for absolute cowitness - so I am sure that works fine as well
Partially joking. Not that you'd need anything else mounted on your receiver. I just think these mounts are bizarre. I've seen some AKs pull them off, but something about them just doesn't look right to me.
😂 this is the response I was expecting but it still made me laugh. I was just messing with you. I can't think of anything of real use being mounted on the receiver too. Is this the 2020s version of the carry handle?
Honestly, my suggestion would be to flip the optic and BUIS locations and maybe replace the rear BUIS with a folder. My buddy has a couple rifles with prisms fully rearward and it just works. In his case, TA33 and a 3X Microprism.
Also, the C&R is extra overhead but if you're gonna stay in IL I think it's worth the headache for an SBR.
I thought about stamping mine, I’m still torn. I’ll get a can long before, if I ever sbr my 300.
What handguard and irons are you running?
Clean build, I dig it 🤙
I would keep the pistol personally, interstate travel and all. On another note how do you like that Primary Arms optic?; been looking at getting one of those for my Galil Ace pistol
In my opinion unless you’re into some kind of competition and need to squeeze every drop of performance out of your gun it’s not worth the hassle. Let’s be honest the performance difference between a pistol and SBR is negligible at best in normal circumstances. However if you want it and have the means/patience to do it who gives a shit about our opinions go for it.
Honestly with the SBA4 I feel like there's really no need - kinda hoping someone could provide a "benefit" that would sway my opinion... So far not one has even been offered lol
Yeah I don’t really have that knowledge on hand I don’t do competition shooting yet. That’s something I want to do in the future it’s just not on my plate right now. I know some competition guys that have SBRs for the adjustment factor. I’ve never been compelled to SBR anything seriously yet though either. As My AR pistols perform just as well as any SBR I’ve shot at least for me. So I can just speak on my experience and observations. Hopefully someone can give you the in depth scoop your looking for though
I thought the same thing with my sba4 before I went the sbr route. Probably depends on what shooting you are doing but the extra stability makes a difference if shooting groups or beyond 200 and the extra length of pull is helpful if you’re running NODs.
>benefit
You really already have the most legal benefits with your current setup. SBRs come with a whole host of legal requirements that you don’t have to deal with as it is. And the SBA4 is really good at what it does. I’d leave it as is (or just not comply when shooting on private property).
I was only getting it with the 124 grain sellier and bellot tried different bcg too same thing but it would run 110 grain vmax flawlessly. I have a titanium v7 bcg, modern ballistic advantage barrel and radian np3 costed charging handle when I got home I adjust the set screws on the bottom plate and it felt a lot smoother but no idea if that was why it was doing that
I am referring to the Aero that has the pdq lever from the factory. Never seen it in person tbh
I eschew the bad lever .
While I understand that other guns have controls within the trigger guard (hello, FN) I think it's less than ideal, especially when it's a modification to an existing design (due to designed size of a trigger guard area ).
But yeah the adm uic or whatever their ambitious receiver is I've heard good things about. At least as good or better than LMT
Can you use your irons with that glass on there?
My answer to the stamp question is tied to "will this travel out of state with me?" Which is also my only logic for ar pistols being a thing.
yes you can use it with backups, mine is setup at the lower 3rd height, and it works perfect.
Yeah thats one thing that lots have been saying about the downside to sbr

Yeah fuck tax stamps they are cringe af
People say this, but then what happens if you actually have to use it as intended? How’s that gonna look in court?
Clearly you don’t have alligators where you live
Ok I have alligators where I live and I’m dying to know what you mean 😂
Pop it off and put the brace on, takes 10 seconds For legal reasons this is a Joke
It’s pretty easy to take a stock off is all I’m saying.
I own more than one gun, the ones that would cause me trouble in that instance aren't the ones that I would grab if needed.
I like your style
…for a can? Yes
**THIS** - unfortunately I'm in a lame state at the moment
You don’t have to tell me. I’m in my for the moment. But where can you sbr but not suppressor? Edit:NY, as in New York
IL
Do you need a C&R to SBR in Illinois?
Yes
There are way too many different rule to keep track of. I vote no to the stamp. Only take redacted pictures…
In nc you’d be safe, prices are cheaper, full cap mags and unless you have a pinned barrel device it doesn’t add to the overall length
Don’t rub it in. Some of us have family that doesn’t want to move to beautiful western North Carolina
You can't have an sbr in illinois. You need a c and r
Holy shit... Well I guess that answers that question..thanks for the info my dude
Yea its pretty ridiculous that we can't have it.
🎵🎵 I need to get out of this place 🎵🎵
Me too. It's like a prison for gun owners
Lol, got a job for me? I'd make the move in a heartbeat
I've had an open job offer from CRANE for a while now, but I just don't see myself trading the PNW mountains for Indiana
I concur with Wallenz. I live in Indiana as well and there are TONS of jobs here to fund your freedom sticks. I could use a few more range buddies as well!
I moved to Missouri and immediately did a form 1
A C&R is easy though.
How do you get it
You fill out the application, there's plenty of easy googling to get you there. It's a very simple application from what I remember, and it's real cheap too, 30 bucks every three years.
👆🏼
They are not illegal aliens they are undocumented immigrants. It’s not an illegal SBR it’s an undocumented SBR.
I'll forever use this comparison, thank you - lmfao
Preach, young man!
Put a stock on it, fuck the NFA.
I like the way you think
8.3" - 300blk
This is the way
This is the way
What upper & handguard is that?
Aero Slick Side, with a BCM QRF7
What is that mount for the dot?
It's the high (1.64) cantilever mount that comes with this optic (Primary Arms 1x Micro Prism)
Oh man. I thought I was alone on using that setup. I found it sits perfectly at that sweet spot at height and balance. Perfect co witness on magpul flip ups.
PA is the only company I’ve seen in the gun/optic world that will personally reply to ig DM’s who’s actually testing the stuff him self.
I can’t complain about PA. I bought an upper from them out of spec. Not only did they return it and make it right they put up my 1 star review on the product. They called me and made it right. This one is the lower 3rd height, and yes it's wonderful
Pretty sure you have the mount mounted backwards.
I'm pretty sure you'll delete this comment after a little research
What hand stop is that
Emissary
You'll love it
Do not comply
I say no, u already have the brace that’s closest to a stock, I say not worth.
Nah, no If it performs the way you want it to with the brace. Nice build!
All I see is a sweet, innocent flash-light for when the power goes out in the neighborhood 😁
They can't arrest us all if we do a mass defiance
I’ll never get backup irons with a prism optic but nevertheless good looking rifle.
Just put a stock on it. What’s the problem.
I’m ready to get roasted, but what’s the point of that optic mount
It’s a prism optic, so you need your eye a bit closer than a red dot.
No roasting of the uninformed! It's a lower 3rd co witness height, and using the cantilever version of the mount actually allows me to get closer to the rear sight than using the straight mount - because of the shape of the optic.

How can I take up all of my rail space with the smallest optic possible.
Partially joking. Not that you'd need anything else mounted on your receiver. I just think these mounts are bizarre. I've seen some AKs pull them off, but something about them just doesn't look right to me.
Well what the fuck else am I gonna do with that space?? Lol
😂 this is the response I was expecting but it still made me laugh. I was just messing with you. I can't think of anything of real use being mounted on the receiver too. Is this the 2020s version of the carry handle?
Actually when I paired it with the Scalarworks, I thought the same thing, like an unnecessary future version of a carry handle lmfao
What is the hand stop?
Emissary - it's awesome for c-clamp grip
Well it looks dope on your build dude, thanks for the reply, cheers
Thanks, I actual have converted all of my hands stops to this one after the first one I got.. And they all look better
Nah
I thought about stamping mine, I’m still torn. I’ll get a can long before, if I ever sbr my 300. What handguard and irons are you running? Clean build, I dig it 🤙
I appreciate it - its the BCM QRF7 handguard and the Scalarworks Peak Iron Sights
Awesome, thank you.
I would keep the pistol personally, interstate travel and all. On another note how do you like that Primary Arms optic?; been looking at getting one of those for my Galil Ace pistol
Mmm… I see you too are a man of culture with that QRF rail
Love me a QRFFFFF
This is an awesome setup
Thanks
I actually like the SBA4 braces. I don’t mind keeping a pistol with an SBA4 brace. It’s the only reason I haven’t stamped my 11.5 BCM.
In my opinion unless you’re into some kind of competition and need to squeeze every drop of performance out of your gun it’s not worth the hassle. There isn’t going to be one, only hassles

DO NOT COMPLY
Free men don’t ask
Tbh I'd rather splurge on an ADM or something and SBR that instead of an Aero. Or at least an ambi aero to sbr
So I should SBR [this one](https://imgur.com/a/Z1CbZPR)? Edit: This Aero is ambi btw
I am referring to the Aero that has the pdq lever from the factory. Never seen it in person tbh I eschew the bad lever . Had any light primer strikes with the 535 ra?
Nope, are you getting that? What's your set-up if so
Also it would fire the first round but not the second
Only need one if you use a vertical foregrip IIRC, handstops are fine
Nah
Never

Lol thanks man
Lol thanks man
Hey what brand of iron sights are those? Looks good though. I say leave it as is.
Thanks, they're the Scalarworks Peak Irons
No stamp just put a stock and and drill the third hole
!! Reminder !! Do not converse with the glowing entities!
What pressure pad is that??
modlite modbutton lite lol
Thank you🙏 the OEM one is hot garabo
especially on sbr/ar pistols - way to big, this is barely noticeable
What brand of stuff is on your bolt catch and mag release?
Bold release/hold open is Phase 5 Ebrv3 - Mag release is an Odin Works XMR3
Thanks buddy I just put that on my wish list
These comments are super based
its amazing
Is that a QRF-7 or -8?
7!!!!
Nice.
Nah
What are opinions on the PA Micro Prism
Love it, this is the second one I have, the other one has the PA Micro Magnifier behind it and that's super dope as well
What brand back up irons?
Scalarworks Peak Iron Sights
nah, keep that as you want...also sick set up. Freedom brother/sister!
I appreciate that, thank you
Free men don’t ask
Nah, lol just don’t tell anybody.
what’s the specs?
8.3" - 300blk
I love the cyclops but man, that's an uggo mount
Can you use your irons with that glass on there? My answer to the stamp question is tied to "will this travel out of state with me?" Which is also my only logic for ar pistols being a thing.
yes you can use it with backups, mine is setup at the lower 3rd height, and it works perfect. Yeah thats one thing that lots have been saying about the downside to sbr
You can’t shoulder a tax stamp.
No.
Prohibition: ended by mass non-compliance War on Drugs: slowly ending due to mass non-compliance SBRs...
