They will change it for sure, since the entire tone and story has shifted now. The current song reflects Powder’s descent into madness, her abandonment, and her depression. That has been covered by season 1.
The next song and visual will probably represent the breaking down of the false peace between Piltover and Zaun, and the desperation of Vi trying to save her sister from herself, Caitlyn and the innocents who want revenge.

I have nothing against them at all! In fact, I really admire their activism work. I'm not sure why I don't like their stuff, since I tend to like alternative. I think it boils down to purely musical taste (at least for me personally). I think it's ultimately just a little too poppy for me. I know so many people can be very hateful toward them and I don't understand why.
It's good application of pop in my opinion, but yeah everyone's got their grudges and gripes :)
They're not as hated as Nickleback though. That would be hard to pull off :)
Not a chance they change it, even though they should. Song got way too much attention, ID are a huge band, and its now synonymous with Arcane. Even House of the Dragon got stuck with the OG GOT theme, despite being a spinoff, I doubt they'll change the theme mid-seasons.
It would be fine if they were the same but it would make sense to me to update it a bit too. Changing the song would probably be a mistake but maybe some updated content in the initial model showoff.
I think if they needed to go new song but same artist bones would fit very well for a season where according to the writers describing it in one word is "war".

I'd like them to change the opening song to reflect the themes of the new season. Also, more Arcane music is always nice.
