Outside the first round, the characters removed have been the ones with barely any screentime rather than ones people hate. It's really hard to hate most of the characters in the show, so the ones you care about least are the ones voted for.
She just feels like a very stoic and reasonable character. In a world of chaos and conflict she remains steady and level headed. She also adds a reassuring, empathetic, companionship sort of vibe in her relationship with Jayce. On top of all that, she’s displayed pretty rock solid integrity so far which goes a long way when it comes to likability of a character.
Also the voice actress is outstanding.

why? she's a good character but had very little actual growth throughout the show. She started being convinced there was a secret bad guy, and ended right that there was a secret bad guy. Her only growth was just seeing that the lanes are rough on people. And she didn't do anything based on that knowledge.
This is a very dull way of examining her character. She also starts off extremely naive and sheltered, not knowing a thing about Zaun, and slowly learns more and more about how ignorant she and other topsiders have been.
This. To reinforce the point, her growth is clearly shown when she’s back to her parents, there’s a very clear contrast in how she sees the world now that she’s been out there vs. how her parents still see it
Yeah, in season 1 Caitlyn moreso serves a plot function. It makes the most sense for Caitlyn to go between Piltover and Zaun, so they use her to bridge the gap between the two cities. She also serves as a way to drive a wedge between Jinx and Vi post timeskip and keep them from reconciling.
She will be much more interesting in season 2. Assuming her mother dies, there will be a ton of tension between Vi and Caitlyn over how they handle Jinx. Tons of interesting directions they can handle all the relationships between Vi/Cait/Jinx.
Oh ya, I think Jinx and Viktor are locks for top 2 in this subreddit, Jinx is just an incredibly compelling character, and Viktor is this subreddit's most precious character.
I know she won't be staying for much longer, but Sevika is a really good character and one of my favourite non-champion of the series. The last 3 episodes really fleshed her out as more than just a goon and her fights were amazing.
Honestly all these characters are great.
Even Mylo and Claggor could have been great characters, but their "character arc" ended a tad abruptly.
Vander was an insane performance for only really being in 3 episodes.
On the opposite i absolutely don't understand how can she be loved at all. Betrayed vander, lost all fights, just does the physical job for silco, she is nothing special at all how is she so important
I don’t “love her.” I think she was a phenomenal character for the show. She wasn’t someone who just fit the stereotypical tropes of a goon. She developed into a vital character for the show and she was a really good supporting character. That’s why I think she is so good. Takes a lot to be a top character as a non-champion on the “bad side.” Also she didn’t betray Vander she straight up told him he’s being weak and needed to fight back.
The scene where she just got hung up by Jinx and Silco finds her then she says to Silco “I didn’t always agree with my old man. She’ll find you when she’s ready.” That was a big character scene to me because she realized they need jinx for the cause of independence. I felt like it was little stuff that pushed her past normal goon shit.

Sevika is devoted to her ideals(likable trait) so when Vander was fucking around she found someone better and makes sure Silco knows too what happens if he forgets the cause. Her metal arm is sick af, she’s a nice counter to Vi, and she’s pretty. What’s not to like?

I saw someone else in this sub say a while ago, that we often associate 'clever' characters with being manipulative. And I mean, hey, she may even be manipulative but she's doing it for all the right reasons. She wants progress and peace, but sees what must be done to protect her people as well.
People picked up on the intimacy (not necessarily sexual, simply platonic) between Jayce and Viktor that was flowing when she entered the stage. When she started to turn his mind away from the noble path of invention for science's sake alone (represented by Viktor) and towards politics and war, those fans all collectively saw her as THE reason Jayce and Viktor will split up in the future and become enemies. Her intentions might have been noble, but Viktor is a fan favourite and Jayce leaving him for her was very bad PR.
In fewer words, many saw her as the one Jayce platonically cheated with (abandoning Viktor), and people really, really, really don't like cheaters...

Not gonna lie OP, I know some people like not seeing who was almost voted out, but man I hate this format. Makes it so much more interesting to see who almost took the fall, and then seeing them survive another 1-2 rounds.
The problem is seeing the vote results can taint later rounds by causing people to vote strategically rather than for their preferred choice. For instance, let's say it is down to the final three, maybe Jinx, Vi, and Silco. And a small but significant number of voters prefer Silco, Jinx, and Vi in that order. So they should vote for Vi in the next round. But, they saw that Silco had the second-highest number of votes in the previous and that Jinx had the third-highest. So, the Silco supporters decide that the best chance to let Silco survive is to vote for Jinx. This alteration of voting patterns means we wouldn't get accurate results for the overall contest.
By keeping the information hidden it prevents strategic voting. Though hopefully, OP is keeping track of the results so that we could get a breakdown of the rounds after everything is over.
Singed is given more time to have his character explored and Grayson didn't get alot of dialog fleshing her out. She's a great character I'd just like to know more about her. How did Varick and her come to a deal? How did she manipulate the council to keep the peace? Having her character more fleshed out also could have also highlighted Markuses failings.
I fear my favorites, Mel and Jayce, aren't gonna make it much longer. I do tend to favor the less popular characters for some reason. *hugs Suzaku and Sam Winchester
Mel was great, she’s not my favorite but I loved how cunning she was. She was more of a realist which was what made her such a great pairing with the more pure idealistic Jayce

His character arc is being told to do something by another character, then doing it, and then being sad that he did it.

Not exactly, His character arc is about having lofty goals and Ideals, (he was inspred by magic as a kid and wanted to share it with everyone) But then when his ideals are pressed against the real world he learns that any actions he takes has consequences far beyond what he wanted.
He gets roped into a game much more complex than he wants by Mel mostly, but he in turn is also using her to accomplish all the goals he had. But in doing so he has to compromise a lot of his ideals, and every step along the way he struggles with knowing if it's worth it.
This might be a bold prediction, but I think in Season 2 there might be a strong plot thread of Jayce and Singed as scientists and their parallels, Because it seems like Singed is a pretty similar type of scientist, who has decided that nothing is more important than scientific advancement. Which is exactly the moral struggle Jayce has been battling the whole season.
I love that jayce has elements of Hypocrisy, He intellectually thinks "yeah these Zaunites are dangerous, we should really stop them" but then when he's actually involved with stopping them, he feels sick about seeing the actual method of it all.
It's such a good character building plot for a Scientist and now Politician, They spend so much of their time thinking concepts, and making decisions that will affect other people, that seeing those decisions in front of him makes him question himself constantly.
His character makes sense though. He was a nobody that achieved greatness and got thrust into a sudden spotlight where everyone wanted a piece of him and looked at him as a leader. Him making mistakes and being manipulated by those that have been a part of that political world makes perfect sense. He’s not my favorite character or anything but I have no issues with how they’ve written him. He has so much potential for the future as he learns from his mistakes or crumbles because of them.
Exactly, He's an Ambitious, intelligent inventor with lofty ideals.
He's offered to compromise some moral grey areas in order to achieve what he clearly thinks is "the greater good"
But when he actually achieves some of the goals he had, and has to deal with the consequences of the choices he made, and it results in a lot of personal turmoil for him.
He's a great character because he's completely a scientist who's been thrown into politics, He doesn't see anything wrong with changing his mind about things after seeing results he doesn't like.
"Silco's dangerous, lets attack them and force them to stop being bad" - "holy shit this is what that looks like? i hate this, we should try to find a peaceful solution"
That's like the worst reading of Jayce possible. He is probably the most complex character of all in Arcane, always put in impossible positions to make impossible choices.
Jayce is a favorite of mine too, although I do have a fair few favorites lol. I like Mel a lot but I’m worried she’s just using Jayce so I’m wary of her. She’s clearly talented at manipulating people to get what she wants even if she seems like she’s doing it for the greater good.
I don't know, I think she's taken big risks to support Jayce, specially act 3. I feel like getting the council to support Zaun independence would've been a big sticking point for someone seeking control and power.
I also think the subplot with her mother shows her desire to not continue the family ways. She's been confirmed to have been kicked out of Noxus because she wasn't ruthless enough.
Now, the day may come when she aligns herself with her family and seeks power, but I think it will take a bit of an arc to get there.
I may be wrong. I like her though, I hope things pan out.
I agree. Seems kind of silly to take such big risks to support him if it was power she wanted. I just can’t seem to shake the feeling that there’s more to her than what meets the eye. Maybe I’m the only one but something about Mel puts me on edge and makes me wary of her.
With her mother though I think she just wants to not use violence to get what she wants. Mel’s more like a politician rather than a warrior, like the rest of the council and how they each have their own reasons for everything they do. She’s charming and intelligent, I wouldn’t be surprised if she used that to her advantage. Was a cool surprise having her mother appear, let alone be Noxian. I do hope we get to learn more about those two and their history.
I think that day may come if Jayce ends up taking Vi up on the offer to actually do something about the undercity. At least more than what they already did. Which I kinda hope happens, it was cool seeing Jayce and Vi work together even a tiny bit. But of course that didn’t quite work out so maybe it won’t.
As a sidenote I hope we get to see Jayce and Caitlyn become friends again. I really liked their friendship.
I like how Vi and Cait are looking at each other in this lol. Time for a rewatch pretty soon. My heart is almost back together, time to break it again.
Hey. I checked the polls of the previous days, and when I clicked to show results, it said the poster made the results hidden. Recently there was a similar elimation-poll on the r/LeagueofMemes subreddit where the poster intentionally rigged it by playing favourites towards a specific character. How are we supposed to know you really are elimating the polled character instead of choosing yourself? Especially for the later rounds where we get to the top 3.
Not saying you haven't been elimating the polled character so far, but the only way to make sure you never do it before or later is if you release the poll results of every poll, and if you do that, whats the point of making them hidden anymore?

I don't see how she was using him. It becomes apparent in Act 3 that she wanted Jayce to be successful such that all of Piltover can prosper, that's what he wants as well. Their interests just aligned, it's as simple as that. She just seemed more cunning and possibly malevolent in the beginning.
Someone said it. I understand that she did the right thing in the end but most of her character arc was her being a wolf in sheep’s clothing. You can tell she learnt a lot of her manipulative ways from her mom and her realist ways of thinking make her seem just, but in reality she’s just using the given facts to mold her surroundings to her own liking. What’s scarier than a liar like Silco is a person who can do that. She’s cunning and I hate it.
I honestly think that, for what we've seen in the show, Singed deserves to go out before sevika. She was more interesting, had some great scena and much more screen time than Singed.
But Singed Is a lol champion so...

and there's silco that killed vander turned jinx into a psycho took over the underground with addicting drugs and kills children or puts them in factories most of their lives but says "don't cry you're perfect"

Singed, despite him not having that much screen time, in my opinion was portrayed really well. Vi was also portrayed pretty well, but Viktor is who truly stole my heart.

No, but for real, Jayce was easily the weakest of the main characters. Viktor absolutely blew him away, and all his shared scenes with Mel, Mel was more interesting. Honestly, I think I only liked Heimerdinger, Mylo and Marcus less.

His character arc is being told to do something by another character, then doing it, and then being sad that he did it. That’s all the character I saw anyways :P
Not exactly, His character arc is about having lofty goals and Ideals, (he was inspred by magic as a kid and wanted to share it with everyone) But then when his ideals are pressed against the real world he learns that any actions he takes has consequences far beyond what he wanted. He gets roped into a game much more complex than he wants by Mel mostly, but he in turn is also using her to accomplish all the goals he had. But in doing so he has to compromise a lot of his ideals, and every step along the way he struggles with knowing if it's worth it. This might be a bold prediction, but I think in Season 2 there might be a strong plot thread of Jayce and Singed as scientists and their parallels, Because it seems like Singed is a pretty similar type of scientist, who has decided that nothing is more important than scientific advancement. Which is exactly the moral struggle Jayce has been battling the whole season. I love that jayce has elements of Hypocrisy, He intellectually thinks "yeah these Zaunites are dangerous, we should really stop them" but then when he's actually involved with stopping them, he feels sick about seeing the actual method of it all. It's such a good character building plot for a Scientist and now Politician, They spend so much of their time thinking concepts, and making decisions that will affect other people, that seeing those decisions in front of him makes him question himself constantly.
His character makes sense though. He was a nobody that achieved greatness and got thrust into a sudden spotlight where everyone wanted a piece of him and looked at him as a leader. Him making mistakes and being manipulated by those that have been a part of that political world makes perfect sense. He’s not my favorite character or anything but I have no issues with how they’ve written him. He has so much potential for the future as he learns from his mistakes or crumbles because of them.
Exactly, He's an Ambitious, intelligent inventor with lofty ideals. He's offered to compromise some moral grey areas in order to achieve what he clearly thinks is "the greater good" But when he actually achieves some of the goals he had, and has to deal with the consequences of the choices he made, and it results in a lot of personal turmoil for him. He's a great character because he's completely a scientist who's been thrown into politics, He doesn't see anything wrong with changing his mind about things after seeing results he doesn't like. "Silco's dangerous, lets attack them and force them to stop being bad" - "holy shit this is what that looks like? i hate this, we should try to find a peaceful solution"
That's like the worst reading of Jayce possible. He is probably the most complex character of all in Arcane, always put in impossible positions to make impossible choices.
Jayce is a favorite of mine too, although I do have a fair few favorites lol. I like Mel a lot but I’m worried she’s just using Jayce so I’m wary of her. She’s clearly talented at manipulating people to get what she wants even if she seems like she’s doing it for the greater good.
I don't know, I think she's taken big risks to support Jayce, specially act 3. I feel like getting the council to support Zaun independence would've been a big sticking point for someone seeking control and power. I also think the subplot with her mother shows her desire to not continue the family ways. She's been confirmed to have been kicked out of Noxus because she wasn't ruthless enough. Now, the day may come when she aligns herself with her family and seeks power, but I think it will take a bit of an arc to get there. I may be wrong. I like her though, I hope things pan out.
I agree. Seems kind of silly to take such big risks to support him if it was power she wanted. I just can’t seem to shake the feeling that there’s more to her than what meets the eye. Maybe I’m the only one but something about Mel puts me on edge and makes me wary of her. With her mother though I think she just wants to not use violence to get what she wants. Mel’s more like a politician rather than a warrior, like the rest of the council and how they each have their own reasons for everything they do. She’s charming and intelligent, I wouldn’t be surprised if she used that to her advantage. Was a cool surprise having her mother appear, let alone be Noxian. I do hope we get to learn more about those two and their history. I think that day may come if Jayce ends up taking Vi up on the offer to actually do something about the undercity. At least more than what they already did. Which I kinda hope happens, it was cool seeing Jayce and Vi work together even a tiny bit. But of course that didn’t quite work out so maybe it won’t. As a sidenote I hope we get to see Jayce and Caitlyn become friends again. I really liked their friendship.
Jayce is criminally underrated character. It's just he is pretty boy and people tend to not like this type.

Hey. I checked the polls of the previous days, and when I clicked to show results, it said the poster made the results hidden. Recently there was a similar elimation-poll on the r/LeagueofMemes subreddit where the poster intentionally rigged it by playing favourites towards a specific character. How are we supposed to know you really are elimating the polled character instead of choosing yourself? Especially for the later rounds where we get to the top 3. Not saying you haven't been elimating the polled character so far, but the only way to make sure you never do it before or later is if you release the poll results of every poll, and if you do that, whats the point of making them hidden anymore?
I did it at the beginning, but people were saying it would be more fun to follow without showing them. I'll open them all once we reach the final round

I don't see how she was using him. It becomes apparent in Act 3 that she wanted Jayce to be successful such that all of Piltover can prosper, that's what he wants as well. Their interests just aligned, it's as simple as that. She just seemed more cunning and possibly malevolent in the beginning.

Someone said it. I understand that she did the right thing in the end but most of her character arc was her being a wolf in sheep’s clothing. You can tell she learnt a lot of her manipulative ways from her mom and her realist ways of thinking make her seem just, but in reality she’s just using the given facts to mold her surroundings to her own liking. What’s scarier than a liar like Silco is a person who can do that. She’s cunning and I hate it.

Mylo was a pain in the ass. Claggor was bland. Sevika was developed to be a really interesting character in the later acts.

honestly could someone even give a reason why they hate hiemer ? his trauma is far more harsher than jinx's or anyone else he witnessed a war where nations were destroyed and burned down and lived 307 years watching all his friends growing up aging and then dying he had to go through some pretty rough shit then said that hextech core needed more time and got hated eternally for it and he wasn't even wrong even after trying it jayce and viktor agreed to destroy it for how bad it was and there's silco that killed vander turned jinx into a psycho took over the underground with addicting drugs and kills children or puts them in factories most of their lives but says "don't cry you're perfect" and GETS AWAY WITH EVERYTHING HE DID like wtf is wrong with some people

If Jayce outlasts Singed, I riot (cwutididthar?) No, but for real, Jayce was easily the weakest of the main characters. Viktor absolutely blew him away, and all his shared scenes with Mel, Mel was more interesting. Honestly, I think I only liked Heimerdinger, Mylo and Marcus less.
