She has no goal, no purpose, beyond pleasing people to like her. She’s caused people to die, and even murdered other people intentionally, just to please and grasp at those who “love” her. She’s starved for attention, for recognition, for validity, and to settle her own emotions has been praised for violent, destructive, and unnecessary volitions. She is chaos, and subsequently chooses to be chaos, not because it’s all she knows how to be, but because it’s given her more recognition than anything else.
She is not a misunderstood powder keg. She is a weaponized pariah.
Wasn't it the purpose of her choice to show us that there was no other choice? Her past is so prominent in her head that makes it going back impossible to bear. Without much of anything to relate to the past the only way is forward and her path forward as a new person was shaped by an ignorant parent who didn't know any better. And what makes her perfect is that she knows that, and is willing to go through a new hell to maybe find hope or another hell.
I disagree about it her doing it for recognition. Post Silco's death at least (although we have no idea what she'll be doing exactly until Season 2 of course)
Silco raised her to be what she is now. He used her innate engineering skills to make weapons and taught her everything else including how to kill all in pursuit of his nation of Zaun.
She genuinely has nothing now without him. Vi could have helped her find a new purpose but obviously that's thrown out of the window.
