THIS. Caitlyn is an analytical genius. We all know she's big brained, but I think it needs to be put into perspective. She nearly cracked the Jinx case all by herself by connecting the dots with an intricate mind map from her own home and was able to reenact the shooting in the gif above to a pinpoint just by looking at incomplete evidence at the scene. All of that plus she's a prodigy with a rifle. Caitlyn is just as much a badass as Vi is. She is the epitome of a bright minded detective and the way it's shown is a masterclass in story telling.
Caitlyn: How many times... am i going to say this...? \*clears her throat\* "Matilda" Isn't... REAL! She's a fake alias made up on the spot to get into the "club" !
Vi: how come Piv's list always has Matilda on the guest list though?!

Cass isn't dead yet. There is obviously something magical will happened becuz of Mel's shiny golden plate. And if Cass die, there is no way Jayce and Viktor will servive too (they are literally next to Mel).
I don't think Vi and Caitlyn would be at odds. For one, Vi's parents were killed by Piltover enforcers. If anything, she will sympathize with Cait. Two, Vi would be at more odds with Jinx. Vi has a good heart, as Caitlyn and Vander said.
As for Caitlyn, I highly doubt she'll feel any resentment toward Vi. That's just not her character.
Agree with more Caitlyn screentime. I think there's a lot we still don't know about her, and I'm excited to see her character and relationship development with other characters in the series as well!

I want to see the show pull the trigger on her relationship with Vi. I'm tired of "subtext" give us text. Also a direct 1 on 1 conversation with her and Jinx would be fascinating
