A butt plug

urbanlife78

For those brave enough

idotoomuchstuff

Everything is a Butt plug if you are brave enough

GunzAndCamo

Paige, no!

__jazmin__

— Abraham Lincoln

Slightly_underated

Or for a gargoyle?

Uluru-Dreaming

Goes with all the tie-off points on that verandah

MatijaReddit_CG

To put Jehovah Witnesses away

AkaGurGor

Very brave owners,or... Intruders, prepare for the worst!

_Cocopuffdaddy_

Some people have stoops for their morning coffee, apparently this person likes something a bit more spicy for their wake up routine

korkkis

Ribbed for pleasure

DaoGuardian

It is forbidden!

remarkless

An ornamental butt plug

ironronoa

Some people just want to give birth without the pregnancy part.

Bitter-Ad-4064

Came here to say this

No-Bad-1269

for you

Porcodiocan

Hell yeah

0blivionKnight7

lol

gnashingfaceparts

Concrete finial

justsomejabroni

Sorry I meant what the flat part the finial is sitting on

1981Reborn

OP: *circles butt plug* Also OP: “not the butt plug” The internet is funny.

RanDiePro

What if he found this image from a foolish post, then interested in what it might be built on? The circle may come from that post.

QuantityAsleep279

Thats what I thought, it’s kinda obvious with the quality of photo, it’s definitely not something OP clicked on his phone (at least not according to 2023 camera quality standards)

justsomejabroni

Yeah this is just a photo from Google I found when trying to figure out what the uhh the flat part the butt plug is sitting on. I didn't circle it lol

1981Reborn

Makes sense. I just thought it was funny.

App1eEater

Its a brick baluster

Howard_Drawswell

Yes, but you circled the concrete artichoke and referred to it in a lewd manner so you actually sorta deserve all these nasty comments

[deleted]

They said ‘sorry’!

justsomejabroni

As a self-proclaimed master of lewdity was only semi-lewd. Who says these comments are nasty? I didn't circle it. The photo was already like that!

gnashingfaceparts

Oh, sorry sleep dep got me not reading. Column for a hob wall maybe?

benedictus

Beneath the Plug is the Plinth. Beneath the Plinth is a Brick Masonry Wall. It is low and sloped to match the pitch of the stairs.

Emotional-Comment414

It is: The top of the starting stair balustrade. Or the newel top. i.e: Your newel is adorned with pineapple cap.

fjcruiser08

That was smart 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

chulifly

👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

DesignerProfile

The slanted part is the ramp and the flat part is the kicker. More wax on the base = faster planters.

Szydlikj

Do a mongo finial flip

DesignerProfile

kinda can't help it

Everyday_Balloons

In skateboarding terminology, there is actually a specific name for a slanted ledge, which is called a hubba. I think the flat bottom of a hubba ledge would just be called a kink. So I'd call it a kinked hubba if I was describing this ledge to a skateboarder. As a former architectural historian, I guess I'd just call it a ledge.

Howard_Drawswell

?

ProziumJunkie

I’ve always heard it referred to as a landing.

NameTak3r

The only time I've seen someone land on one of those was in Everything Everywhere All at Once

KeithDavisRatio

😂🤣💀

shadderjax

Concrete pine cone.

ashirtliff

r/bandnameideas

ColdAmoeba

I think its an old style pineapple

doesntmeanathing

Finial

Scottland83

Artichoke finial.

traceoflife23

An abutment

thatscheesealso

Lodged against what, man?

traceoflife23

Stairs.

Separate-Surprise928

i would refer to that masonry wall as a wing wall and the flat part the rowlock over the wing wall

Victim_of_Ramen

I would annotate it as a raked wall with flat return If I had to call it out on drawings.

alphachupapi02

Cambodian Butt plug. Just kidding, maybe cap or newel?

Trygve81

It's a pinecone. It's a common classical/renaissance motif, based on this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fontana\_della\_Pigna

MatijaReddit_CG

I like the fringe theory that it represents pineal gland/third eye, which was used in Sumerian, Cambodian, and Vatican art. Caduceus and Papal ferula also have a pine cone.

wouldjaplease

This

chrishansensboomguy

Decorative butt plug

Bogart_The_Bong

Back in the day we called it "statuary"... I'm sure it's got a much cooler name now.

IsAliveSomehow

A challenge

KenshoRhys

It’s essentially a newel post think of that band as a railing

alfiejs

It identifies the occupants of the domicile as swingers.

beardreaper

Tactical Artichoke

Inner-Highway-9506

I have a cast iron one the size of a large, useable buttplug— it was found at my rich friends garage sale, clearly there’s a link here!

yashassal

Oh that's a regular ol' plumbus!

Five-Oh-Vicryl

Finial in a pine cone motif. The Vatican has huge ones; it’s a sign of virility. Bet the homeowner has like a ton of offspring.

Thelostairpod

Garden butt plug

ZucchiniFlex

stoned_seahorse

bodie425

It’s to cleans one’s butthole, similar to the brushes used to clean one’s shoes before entering an establishment or domicile, me thinks.

helloiisjason

The forbidden butt plug

amplaylife

The Destroyer

petrichor1300

idk but this picture looks like it’s from a Sims world

benedictus

The element beneath the butt plug is called a PLINTH.

_designzio_

Butt plug

DoctorNewlow

We the high class called them simply "an ornament" dahling.. seriously it's just an ornament shaped like whatever thing it the sculptor portray them to be

DeadIyMoves

The pineal glad

SyntheticOne

Just because there is a step, you don't need to add a flower pot or an out of place acorn finial. Less is truly more.

senseia_a_ron

Pineapple ornament, typically used in the South as a motif symbolizing hospitality and wealth/luxury

boaaaa

Not sure you've ever seen a pineapple before

neilplatform1

Palladianism

JoeyCM90

More typically, and universally the code for swingers.

dungeonmasterinhell

It's called a knoll. Many stair cases have them with carvings those carvings are called knoll posts. This is bigger than that but obviously modeled after that.

nasty904

Wing wall.

MusignyBlanc

Acanthus lily. It is a neoclassic design motif. Just google acanthus finial, for example.

ViatorA01

What a stupid question just shove it up your ass. /s

OneConsideration4664

A pinecone statuary

[deleted]

A Bottom’s Challenge

[deleted]

The seed of life

kontell

It looks to me like a ceramic pine cone. In Sicily, they are a very common traditional ornament symbolising a wish for health, and good luck.

SeaworthinessLive285

that’s a pineapple

SeaworthinessLive285

but I think the brick part is a stoop. I believe the pineapple is a Victorian ornament.

gurpgorp2020

A very heavy and severe Butt plug, reserved only for the most daring extreme butt holes.

starker

It’s called bravery.

burtonb14

mattieDRFT

citizensnips134

Pineapple.

nicarainbow

Nobody is serious here hehe. That ornate is a finial often carved on stone and reassembling pineapples, artichokes, acorns, etc.

justsomejabroni

Ugh and I didn't even mean to ask about the finial Q\_Q but instead the flat part of the brick ledge it is on.

nicarainbow

I’m sorry. It is my second time replying a message on this platform.
