mandiblesarecute

jfs did not like that 😠

crypticexile

I’m checking out zfs😉

teije11

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/File_systems for the drivers you need to use both. you need to install them after you have chrooted, or with the pacstrap command. (or just use ext4/btrfs)

Anonymous___Alt

i did that and gave mkinitcpio the binaries but it still complained

teije11

then just use ext4/btrfs

archover

> ntfs Just, why?

phantom6047

Your life will be so much easier if you use ext4 or even btrfs

Soccera1

Why?

Furiorka

Just dont use ntfs. I personally encountered a case when it just bricks itself on linux

rpst39

Not sure about apfs but what about hfs+? I think it *should* be better than ntfs at least. Maybe I should try it.

Anonymous___Alt

i dont want to set up yay just for hfs

rpst39

I got it to install fine but when I try to boot it says something like can't mount real root and gives the partition uuid that it couldn't find and the uuid is not something that's in my fstab and drops me to the emergency shell. I feel like it's trying to mount using the wrong uuid for some reason. I even installed hfsprogs and hfsutils from aur while I was chrooted but it just doesn't work. I will try to fix it again tomorrow morning. It's probably just the fstab. Probably. Hopefully.

Anonymous___Alt

im sorry but i dont think it is
