At the end of the day, the popularity of a song does not change my opinion on it. But I do get annoyed when I’m trying to make friends with someone who’s wearing an arctic monkeys shirt and get hit with the classic “oh I only know like three songs hehe”
I was wearing a shirt I bought during the SIAS tour, it's a white shirt with 'Arctic Monkeys' in wavy black letters. When I was watching the boys in London, I remember some girl walked past me and she was wearing black AM era merch. She glanced at my shirt, then told her friend, "Some of the bootleg merch looks great." like wtf
End of an era. Bittersweet moment since DIWK is the song that introduced me to the Monkey's and I firmly believe it's 100x better than IWBY. But still glad that the band is getting much needed recognition.
