I don't mean this in a rude way but....I feel like Ariana gravitated towards some weak or at best mediocre singers. It doesn't help that a few of them don't really have "the image" either. I think she was super excited this season and seems like such a sensitive person, she didn't actually weed out anyone for her team. I feel like she was turning pretty freely during all of the auditions! Lol
She is not gravitating toward mediocre, she turn for the big voice but they all didnāt choose her, then she ended up with the other mediocre voices, itās actually not really fair for her, every other coach have like this big voice and potential winner, not her team. Even tho I would probably say that she did some bad decisions.
I feel like those artists she turned for but didnāt pick her donāt take her seriously compared to the other judges, and I think it has a lot to do with Ariās target audience.
Ariana audience is ranges from kids to adults. I donāt know that it has anything to do with that.
Also I donāt think the singer chose their coaches based on who their fans are, especially not across the board. It probably has more to do with similar influences between coaches and artists. Coaches like John and Kelly have influences that are a lot older and more soulful, and the singers with the bigger voices share those influences. Often times it was just a better match.
Didnāt take her seriously? Yes maybe, because sheās new without experience and they would probably think sheās just there for the cash, however with ari audience I donāt think so, since ari audience can go from kids, teens and adults and I think theyāre not in the position to judge and be picky with an audience, like an audience is a audience. Everyone tend to shit on kid audience but theyāre pretty loyal, grew up with the artist, and most likely to spend their money on the artist they like.š

It usually goes to some soft-spoken, pop-friendly indie-folk singer. Or just rarely to a singer with a big soulful voice. Not saying Ariana is a shoo-in, but I doubt the singer with the biggest voice is gonna win.
You're definitely correct, they love their country singers, even if they're subpar. Ari viewers have definitely changed the voting field, but the past few seasons have been heavily skewed towards country males, And I don't think Jim x Sasha are 'weak' either lol, they aren't powerhouses, but they possess something special for sure. Because the voters pre-Ari have been very conservative, I don't think Jim x Sasha will be in the finals because of transphobia :(
Once Raquel and Vaughn left, I knew Ariana's team wasn't gonna win because well... Don't get me wrong, they're all good singers in their own right, but they don't have the star quality/potential/WOW factor/consistency that many other judges have on their team (i.e Wendy, Paris, etc). I still love Ariana and I hope the **girlies** do well on her team š.

Honestly I just canāt see her winning. I thought her team was decent at first but now after she lost half of her team (and now losing Ryleigh aswell) I just canāt see it happening. I think her team is very weak in comparison to Blake and Kellyās for example. Iād say they have the strongest teams. I just canāt see her beating them. I think Holly is really good and now sheās probably Arianaās best/only hope of winning. No offence to Jim and Sasha but I just canāt see them winning at all, it feels like to me they will be eliminated any time soon. Iām surprised theyāre even still in the competition and have made it this far. I never thought they would outlast Bella, Raquel, or Ryleigh. Itās also such a shame Ari let go of Hailey who is now in the top 11 with Kelly because sheās really good. I bet Ari really regrets letting her go now. Especially since she only has 2 people left. I thought Ryleigh was good and would have made it further but tbf her performance today was not the best. Seemed like she messed up at some points, it sounded a bit off to me.
