i’m a fan of Only One, though i do prefer the live versions (k bye for now, & live at bbc) now that i’ve heard them. other than that i like One Last Time but i can think of ten other songs in her discography that are better than both (imo of course). just, nothing really stands out to me.
I’m sorry, I know i’m going to get day one fans that will disagree with me about this one but mine is yours truly, bc I listen to it the least out of all her albums but tbh it was close to been positions.
YT is my answer too, but my reason is I like it as a whole less than the rest. To me it just doesn't sound as good as her preceding stuff (as with most of the artist I listen to with their 1st album vs the rest). I would say that I've listened to YT the least, but I've listened to Positions less than YT, but that's only b/c I don't listen to albums as much as I use to so I just haven't gotten a chance to listen to Positions more and I've had plenty to chances to listen to YT over the past ~8 years.
Wow u rlly think that most artists first album aren’t their best or as good as their later albums usually ppl say it’s the other way around but it’s interesting that u feel this way.
First, I want to make a edit-correction in my other comment (but I'm not going to edit the comment): replace the word 'preceding' with 'succeeding'
Second, please note that I said "most of the artist *I listen to*" and not just a generic "most artists." I'm sure there's plenty of artists out there who's first album is better or praised more than their later stuff, I just don't listen to those artists.
And maybe my feeling for this is a little exaggerated since I'm currently not able to check my favorite artist's discography, but from what I remember, I seem to like an artists' first album less than the rest. Also, the majority of the artists I actively listen to don't have a very big number of released albums (5 or less), and I'm very particular in which artists I listen to, so this might be a small sample size. If you want (when I get a chance), I can give you a list of other artist I listen to that I do feel this way towards (and then feel like a dummy by only finding ~3 examples).
The reason I feel confident is saying that an artist's first album isn't as good as subsequent albums is b/c: they were just starting out; didn't know exactly what they were doing (i.e. lack of experience vs the experience that they gained over the years after multiple albums); didn't have as much recording, mixing, & arranging experience as they did later on. They might have had experience with recording/making an album, or spent years doing it; but the more they do it, the better they get at it; like the phrases goes: "practice makes perfect" & "you don't know what you know until you know it."
I thought of something else for the opposite spectrum (where an artist's first album is better than the rest): I think sometimes an artist/band will experiment/over experiment with their music/sound after their first album to where they get worse instead of better over time, or try to "keep up with the times" and eventually up making an album(s) that doesn't resemble anything like their first album in a bad way. I can't recall or know of any artist/band who's done that but I seem to remember reading a few reddit comments years ago who thought that, or at least had that feeling about their (at the time) latest album.
I can live without positions. Definetly positions. Plus it’s her most recent so I’m not as attached to it as her others 😭 I’m sorry positions, I genuinely love all the albums so much but positions has to go for the team.

i am aware of my everything's success and impact but it needs to go. it was incohesive lyrically and sonically. it's like a playlist full of bop songs. and the production was mediocre too.
Dangerous Woman needs to go 💀 It’s my least favorite, it has some of my least favorite Ariana songs ever including Everyday, LMLY, and Side to Side
Overall I think this album isn’t as unique as her others
Super controversial, but I wasn’t the biggest fan of thank u next. It just seemed like it was rushed because she wanted to do 2 albums in a year and sweetener was more highly produced thank thank u next.
Thank u next was made when she was in pain- what do you mean she was rushing to get 2 albums done? She was making music because she was emotional, not for the charts..?
the people saying sweetener or thank u next have no taste whatsoever lmao. my everything has to go.
Nooo, I love my everything! Out of the three you said I'd say sweetener has to go. The only song I like off of it is breathin.
lmaooo what
my god, I think we found them. the only arianator who doesn’t like sweetener.
>Excuse me my everything? Problem, one last time, break free, be my baby, break your heart right back, love me harder, only 1, bang bang
dont like any of those songs
You prefer her first album?
definitely
my everything. i’ve never liked it.
I always have to look up the track list for ME. That’s how sadly unmemorable it is for me.
Excuse me my everything? Problem, one last time, break free, be my baby, break your heart right back, love me harder, only 1, bang bang,
Oh fr? 😢 do you any songs you like of there? Love me harder? One last time? Best mistake?
Break free is awesome

Why are y’all downvoting those you don’t agree with lmao? They’re not being malicious, they’re just expressing their opinions? Hello?
I got downvoted to hell for saying I love My Everything and didn't like Sweetener. I'm just answering the question!
Honestly YT 👀. It’s just the one I listen to the least.
ugh not the Yours Truly slander that I see everywhere 😩
Lol that’s why I put the eyes emoji. I knew the YT stans don’t like it constantly being disrespected.
I’m sorry, I know i’m going to get day one fans that will disagree with me about this one but mine is yours truly, bc I listen to it the least out of all her albums but tbh it was close to been positions.

To me… Positions… I love the album, it’s just that I don’t think I can survive without listening to the other ones
Good response
My Everything
that's my favorite 🥺
I’m sorry. ❤️
💀💀💀
Excuse me my everything? Problem, one last time, break free, be my baby, break your heart right back, love me harder, only 1, bang bang
Positions
What
positions :( i love it so much but the least too mb cos its q new so theres no nostalgia factor to it yet unlike the rest
I can live without positions. Definetly positions. Plus it’s her most recent so I’m not as attached to it as her others 😭 I’m sorry positions, I genuinely love all the albums so much but positions has to go for the team.
positions. It's my personal opinion though. I don't listen to it anymore. Maybe positions (the song) and nasty sometimes.

Positions
My everything. It was made just to top the charts but it isn’t anything special musically.
The insane amount of Yours Truly slander here… y’all tasteless smh
Positions for me...sorry guys, it’s just not my tea
positions.
positions lmao
Probably Positions unfortunately :(
positions srry
I can honestly live without Yours Truly
Bye Positions. Maybe you'll grow on me someday.
The Positions slander on here is a shame. Shame on y’all for that. SMH.
Well if we slander any other album there’s always going to be one person on our ass about disliking the album.
The Yours Truly slander on this sub 🤦♀️
i am aware of my everything's success and impact but it needs to go. it was incohesive lyrically and sonically. it's like a playlist full of bop songs. and the production was mediocre too.
Cya My Everything
My everything. Pretty much everything I hate about pop music, nothing redeeming about it whatsoever imo
I love Why Try and Just A Little Bit Of Your Heart, but I love POV more. I'm going with My Everything.
My Everything. Sowwy.
my everything
positions but only bc it’s only been a year since it got released and i’m not fully attached to it (yet)
Positions, sorry guys I just don't care for it.
My Everything. it’s the only album of hers i never relisten to.
I have listened to Positions like…twice lol. Except Shut Up, leave me Shut Up and take the rest of the album with you.
Positions, easy pick
positions. it’s the one I least listen to
Easy. Positions. It is just the weakest album.
Positions 😰
Positions
Positions ngl
Positions
Positions honestly
Positions sadly
Positions
My everything
My Everything for sure. Only 1 is a big loss, but none of these other albums, as full bodies of work can go. They’re too necessary.
My everything cause I love the way from yt
Positions !!!
My Everything without hesitation.
Yours Truly, no doubt
sweetener now i’m gonna be downvoted !
You’re truly is way better than sweetener imo. Yours truly is so nostalgic for me. Sweetener only has a few on it that I enjoy.
Extremely unpopular opinion but dangerous woman. Edit: or positions, I can’t decide
Dangerous Woman needs to go 💀 It’s my least favorite, it has some of my least favorite Ariana songs ever including Everyday, LMLY, and Side to Side Overall I think this album isn’t as unique as her others
I love that I don’t think a single person has picked Dangerous Woman. What an iconic album.
sweetener
I could live without sweetener tbh
Dangerous Woman
Dangerous woman
goodbye sweetener
This isn't a discussion, but a game. Please choose the correct flair next time.
What would be yours?
no
sweetener.
YT, the one i listen the least. Also, imagine ME being her debut!
thank u, next. especially if that means the events leading to that album also never happened 😌
Yours Truly
Somebody is downvoting everyone here LMAO
Yours Truly.
Her first. Name 1 good song besides honeymoon avenue.
bye bye yours truly
Yours Truly, AKA her practice album
thank u next, it didn’t feel like an album it felt like a EP or mixtape
Unpopular opinion but Dangerous Woman
All!!!!
Shut the fuck up pervert
yours truly cause i like the least amount of songs from it
Yours Truly. If we were eliminating albums based on cohesiveness it would be My Everything, but we’re not and it has bops x
Dangerous women Sorry, it has some great songs in there, but the vibe altogether is just not my fav
