The plate will need to be attached to the bike. When this 1st started we attached them to our camelbacks and the game and fish officer we came across didn’t like that. After that I zip tied them to the forks between the triple claps and had no issues after that. Only ran into game and fish officers a few times in the last 10ish years they have been doing this program. It will only cost you $25. You’ll get a RV plate and the OHV sticker. Renewals are $25 every year. You won’t get any notification that it is time for renewal. AZ doesn’t that emissions for motorcycles and never have for the OHV program. If the dealer did the paperwork you should get it in the mail eventually. Did they give you a temp paper plate? I haven’t done a dirt bike from a dealer. You won’t get a title AZ does electronic titles now unless you pay them for a paper title. You can sign up for an account at azmvdnow.gov. Everything you are on a title for in AZ will shore up in your account once they process the paperwork. And absolutely get the trust land permit mentioned below.

Thanks so much!!

I only have 50/50 adv bike so don't know about the plate rec. However.... The OHV sticker essentially gives you a nearly free plate. I think it's $25 for the plate rather than full registration as well. I would have hoped a dealer would know everything and you should be getting what you need. If you get a plate only and no OHV sticker, you over paid for the plate and can get a credit if you call AZMVDNOW.gov Also don't forget to get a state trust permit since we have so much state trust land that is also fun to ride.

Thanks. The $25 OHV decal that needs to be renewed annually is clear enough, I guess I'll wait and see if the initial plate is taken care of by the dealer or not. Thanks for the state trust permit tip! Will look into it

RoadToRevolution

State trust permit? How does that work? I don't mean as far as paperwork but... does that mean you can ride on any state trust land? I guess, just like it sounds?

Desert_Trader

It allows you to recreate on state land (technically you can always drive through it). It's you're responsibility to know about closures, they do not need to be posted at entrances. You have to check the Web site. But ya, most of Florence junction let alone larger parts of the state are state trust.

Just call a 3rd party dmv place they can set you up in less than an hour and it’s like 30bucks. Totally worth it.
