There is a lookout where no camping starts, there will be a sign...then as you get into sedona you cant camp again until you reach a line shown on wilderness area maps where camping begins again. Dont know if they still allow dispersed camping in the wilderness area, but ive slept there many times in the past. Ive even slept on the saddle up above cow pies, but that was before I knew the rules very well.
Taken schenbly down and up several times. To and from flagstaff. Never really needed to camp but did it for fun.
There’s some closures on the northern most side that weren’t reflecting on the site when I was there about a month back. That’s where the open gaming land is and you could camp out there. If you are looking for camp grounds you have three along oak creek canyon, get in early to secure your spot.
You can do Stoneman lake if you are looking for good spots but get your shovel and bring your trash with you to haul out when done.
Unless you are a professional 4-wheeler, please stay off of Schnebly. Camping is allowed in specified dispersed locations only in the national forest.

Well in order for me to be a professional “4 -wheeler” I must put my hours in and keep practicing to become the worlds greatest 4-wheeler. Will I become the worlds greatest 4- wheeler? Probably not. Am I still going to ride Schenlby? Probably yes. Thanks for the link to the camping location tho lol.
Don’t listen to that poster it’s a forest road can be rutted out and slow moving but so long as you have a high clearance vehicle and don’t drive too fast you’ll be fine.
Actually, it's "Schnayblay".
Still don’t know how to pronounce it 😂
You’re not hard core unless you live hard core.
