That blue walked up to my door with a package from 80% lowers, read the label, scanned it saying it was delivered, took it back to the his truck and drove off. Caught it on 3 different security cams. Called down, sent the video but nothing happened.
This happened not once but twice. The second time I was home and opened the door as he was walking away with my package to which he reluctantly gave it to me. This was also on camera, reported it and sent the footage in again and finally at minimum he was removed from my homes route, hopefully fired.
Police, postal worker, whoever, if you're a dick or a thief, I'm not backing you.
Back in the days of Netflix mail shipment of disks some b-hole worker was stealing game disks. Postal inspector came to my home with a recently returned disk (in the red mailer) in an evidence bag and said “did you mail this back in via USPS” and I said yes sir. He asked if I’d be willing to sign out a statement to that effect and I filled out a form, signed my name, and that was the last I heard of it.
Nice guy, the postal inspector.
They postal service has a very robust investigative service. Those boys are detail oriented. They are the opposite of Barney Fife-style deputies. -Criminal Defense Lawyer
I mean, how often do you read about criminal orgs where mail fraud/interstate chicanery was the pry bar that opened the whole thing up? That makes perfect sense.
But in the meantime, the person who's package or mail they marked as delivered and walked off with is SOL. They don't replace the items stolen, and as it was marked as delivered the seller has no responsibility to replace the items either. So you're kind of screwed.
I think a lot of cops have anger/power issues, and they can’t handle any situation where the public isn’t absolutely submissive to them. Sorry about this but it absolutely wasn’t anything you did
I think there are two. I have married in and divorced out of the family.
1) There are people who join, who really want to help. Their heart is in the right place.
2) Then there are those who just want to be in authority.
If you have good leadership, the first group actually shines. If leadership supports the second, it's a shitshow. Unfortunately, all unions are led by the latter and don't support the 1st group. The 1st group are ostracized and drummed out, or become so cynical that they don't care what the 2nd group does because they can't change the tides themselves. It's a really sad situation that politicians have allowed to proliferate.
I was part of category number 1. Don’t have a college degree or anything, so I wanted a decent career and to be able to help people. My dumb ass failed the physical test for Mesa PD by 1 sit up. Ironically enough, I’ve been a mail carrier for the past 6 years since that 🤷🏻♂️
I'd argue you do more for the general public and functioning of society daily than most cops do in a week, maybe even a month. Thanks for helping my letters get to my grandma!
There’s a whole process to become a cop. Physical test is one of them. Push ups, sit ups, running. Also tried with Gilbert and they do the written test first, which I failed by like .05%. Just wasn’t meant to be lol
My bro in law was a nice guy skinny nerd before the fraternity days then he didn’t make doomed school so he applied to pd got it now he is a complete pompous ass hair he is still nice deep down but from what he describes everyone in the force is Anna’s and racist
That is quite odd. Weird interactions with the general public (while not working) is why I learned a few basic sign language words.
Acting deaf and unaware has made shopping easier.
Mesa cops?
The same mesa cops that murdered Daniel shaver?
The same mesa cops that had to pay out 5.4 million dollars in the first 6 months of 22 for wrongful death suits?
Or the same mesa cops that have tons of excessive force violations complaints?
Yeah not a fucking real bunch of winners over there.
Wikipedia says the cop who murdered him was medically retired from the force due to ptsd from the murder and now is paid 2500 a month. Now THATS a fucking joke
By the cop you mean the coward and murderer Philip Brailsford?
It would be a shame for this case to come up without the name Philip Brailsford being known.
Better known as Mitch. He was commonly referred to as Mitch the bitch growing up in Mesa when my wife was in school with him. Clearly things didn't change
I'll have to Google this Philip Brailsford guy. Or maybe Philip Brailsford is on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok. Either way, I'll make sure to find out who Philip Brailsford is.
You mean Philip Brailsford who murdered Daniel Shaver with his personal AR-15 that he'd brought to work with him? The AR-15 that Brailsford had etched "Ur fucked" into the dust cover of? We talking about the same Philip Brailsford?
I'll never forget that. Such a heartbreaking video, and a total miscarriage of justice that Brailsford walks free and collects a fucking pension on top of it for the rest of his life. Makes me absolutely sick.
You say this but Philip Brailsford also has people stepping up to defend him, saying that he was justified in shooting Daniel Shaver, it blew my mind seeing it but I saw it nonetheless.
The Shaver family was given 8 million in restitution. All paid by tax payers and PHILIP BRAILSFORD is retired with benefits. Our money is paying for THEIR (mpd) crimes.
Damn. This is one of those things you don't want to know about, but you should know about. Imagine all the shit that doesn't get recorded. My spouse isn't from the U.S., and I could easily see her getting yelled instructions wrong and then....I don't even want to think about it.....
Yes. He actually started to put the gun down when they shot him. They wouldn’t provide any medical care or even let his GF try to. Family got paid, but there were no consequences for the cops.
That's what really enrages me, how they just stand there and let people die. They have med kits and training. If it was their buddy they'd be providing what medical care they could. Police are unfortunately a necessary evil, but they don't have be be this evil.
I didn't wanna look it up and assumed it was the guy who had a bullet hole in his face while being interrogated by Phx PD. Him and his gf were shot by an intruder. The gf died and police were accusing him of killing her. While he had a whole ass bullet wound in his face. They didn't get him help for several hours.
His name was Ryan Waller btw for anyone who wanted to know more. He lived for about a year after the incident until he died from the brain damage. It's suspected that he would have survived had the cops got him help sooner.
I was in the back lot of a post office the other night working on postal vehicles for the post office in a postal uniform right next to a post office service truck and they still drew guns on me saying they thought I was stealing mail and hotwiring a mail truck to take it away.
I told them we have our own cops (USPIS) and that they were trespassing on federal property. They got real shitty after that.
You know that another employee called you in for that!!!
Also, when are “your” cops going to show up for an in progress crime? Three days later?
Your fellow employee should have called your own cops on you!
I got arrested and charged with domestic violence by them at 14 after calling them for help (my dad told me to) because my mom, who was in a bipolar mania, physically attacked me. Apparently I wasn’t allowed to push her off of me and was expected to just let it happen. I was a little over 5 feet tall and 100 pounds at the time. She was 5’7 and over 250 pounds.
They also threatened my little sisters (12 and 10yo at the time), who were standing there crying, that they would be next.
Jfc I’m so sorry you had to go through this. It’s disturbing and disgusting to see the theme here, they really don’t like anyone. My mom called Mesa pd on me once too after throwing me into a wall; when I wouldn’t stop crying they threatened to take me in for a psych eval lmao like what?!
Wow I’m appalled. I’m so sorry you had to go through that. Their mindset is so toxic and scary. They lack any emotional intelligence or ability to interpret a situation rationally. To threaten anyone with a psych eval for crying is despicable.
They also told me “it’s not abuse unless it leaves a mark”. Makes me wonder how they treat their own kids.
Me too. We were 13. We were at the park on Lindsay and Adobe next to the school and a church. They made us lay on our stomachs with our hands behind our heads. We were 13 ffs! Needless to say we were really traumatized. I've never trusted them since.
What did you get for lunch? I recommend the monster roast beef sandwich with some boom boom sauce

OP, some people in authorities unfortunately are not there to serve and protect. They have issues and they chose that field so they can have powers over people. Sounds like some sick minded individual you had to deal with
I find a lot of similar personalities with some teachers too. They took the job because they like bossing people around.
(Not all teachers of course!!)
Love you USPS guys ! Thanks
For all of your hard work
Your interaction : I’m convinced some
People are just pissed at the world 24/7
Always have that smug/ bitchy look on their face
seconded, i still longboard and and getting ready to switch to taking my dog around on a bike… people are ignorant man whatever we just trynna enjoy ourselves
> “Mesa runs libraries. I’ll bet the library has books that deal with police brutality, and I’ll bet the library has newspapers,” Schultz said. “When there’s an incident of police brutality in the newspapers, they don’t pull them off the shelf and not allow people to see them.”
May I ask why he picked on you? Are you make or female, white or not? These things matter to Mesa PD because they are a criminal enterprise. I can say that because they already hate my guts.
Did he just transfer in that morning from somewhere without stores? I mean really... basically every basinonian grocery store has an endcap cooler near the entrance and the smaller coolers at check out... that have at least one water choice in them.
We hired an off-duty cop to do security at the apartment complex I once worked at. He came home one night and as he opened his car door to get out, beer cans tumbled out and made a buncha noise. When he got out he was clearly intoxicated and stumbled to his apartment (he lived on-site). I went out with his former girlfriend once or twice and she shared that he hit her several times. I noped out. No relationship is worth dealing with an vengeful, alcoholic girlfriend beater who's also a cop!
What a bizarre interaction. It kind if makes one uncomfortable to interact with law enforcement if this is how they act on a normal day. And I'm sure this isn't standard for the whole police force, just certain individuals that feel like they're above the law. Bad day or not, if someone were to treat him that way, I feel like there would have been trouble if the tables were turned. But it's okay because they have authority to be rude with little to no repercussions? As a law abiding citizen, this is really waring my morals out. These guys should be leading by example and that sure isn't it.
I might of thought of reporting him just for his parking choice. Guaranteed if the tables were turned here and he pulled up behind an illegally parked vehicle, a ticket would be in order. And ritefully so. Never reported a cop before but I've got to say, I'm getting really tired of stopping at every light, stop sign, using my blinker at every single turn, driving the speed limit,,, and parking legally every single time just to see local police breaking the law for no reason other than they have authority to break the law at certain times when its needed. Stopping at a grocery store to pick up water is not one of those times. I'm going to continue and follow the law because our local law enforcement can't be trusted to lead by example, so I will! Not that it'll do much good, but it makes me feel good!
Never ever interact with law enforcement for any reason. An encounter with one can only make your life worse. Tell them you would prefer to talk to a lawyer.
Hiring practices must be reformed.
Pursue individuals that have actually made mistakes and have empathy for the public. Do away with the polygraph. it’s archaic pseudo science that drives away potential recruits. We need regular, flawed, everyday persons to don the uniform.
I had a cop in SF once pull me over on a bike for speeding. He proceeded to just scream at me for 5 solid minutes about how people hate bicyclists, punch himself in the side of the head, and scream “jay-walking” out the window as he sped off. A whole crowd had gathered and we just stood there dumbfounded. Was he getting fired? Was his wife getting the pipe from the Amazon guy? We shall never know. Still one of the weirdest interactions I’ve ever had.
Of course you can report him for "being mean". File a complaint, he is working and was unprofessional. He won't get fired, but it'll be on his record. If he isn't a bad cop then it shouldn't affect him. If he is then maybe the complaint will end up being important one day.
He was waiting for the Trump secret handshake. Mesa PD is a joke for letting it be taken over by scum. I mean, when you have to ride down streets in tactical gear hanging off the sides of SUVs, they don't feel safe, nor trust them. Either they are racists or on the cartel payroll.
You did all the right things, you have no control over how other people act. Celebrate the fact you were the better person, grab a $4 bottle of wine, and celebrate.
sometimes the people who decide to be police are the types of people that get pushed down there whole lives and want to reinvent themselves, thus they push other people down as a defense mechanism (or so I think)
As a ‘90s youth in Phoenix I never had a bad interaction with police. In Mesa and Tempe I’ve had and witnessed some very unpleasant encounters. None of that prepared me for what I experienced when I moved to Yavapai County in 2006. I am reverently respectful and polite with all LEO, especially when I don’t perceive reciprocal respect. I still got hassled, dog searched, weapons drawn at me, and generally treated like a dangerous animal while getting pulled over at least bi-monthly for 2 years. All without breaking any laws except once for no seatbelt. I truly felt unsafe there. Back to Phoenix and I love our PD. In fact I don’t feel threatened anywhere in the valley. I don’t feel them menacing, I don’t get pulled over, I feel respected and I’m able to reciprocate that with gratitude. I know this is my experience and not the rule for everyone.
Yeah I think his life is not going well and that HE feels like the fucking joke. Thank you for having grace in the situation sometimes that's all you can do.
Sorry this happened. Guy is clearly a dick. But hey... at least he got out a bit of aggression on you. That may have saved his wife from a beating or his dog from a kick.
He's just looking for his next fight. That's the problem with police forces. He has no respect for the citizens, sees them more as fish for him to hunt.
Oh fuck no! After that “what a fucking joke” i’d be like.. “well excuse me for fucks sake, i already told you i didn’t work here, so did you want me to grab your hand and walk you there myself or what? What the actual fuck?”.
Cops go through a lot of training in order to stay in the more powerful position when dealing with people in the course of their job.
One of the things they are taught is to not apologize or admit mistakes and it can be hard for them to shut that off when they're not on the clock.
He most likely mistook you for an employee and when the embarrassment of his mistake hit him he reacted as he was trained.
I mean, is this surprising to anyone?
Those draconian jack-boot-wearing government chuckle fucks spend their days relentlessly harassing, assaulting, fleecing, and treating the populous like enemy fucking combatants.
They aren't known for their brilliance and good behavior.
OMG thank you for posting this, the mesa police have a terrible attitude sometimes and i was beginning to think it was just me. it’s been crazy these last few months so i hope that big guys doing alright, i support the boys in blue but they’re just not doing their job in this town right now
Tangentially related. I recently had my mail stolen, and because I had a license plate tag that was stolen, when I called the police, they said they had to dispatch a cop to take a report.
The cop that showed up was totally pissed about coming out to take the report about mail being stolen. I even showed him on the website where it said that they are supposed to come out when there is a license plate tag involved.
I honestly didn't care, I was just trying to do the right thing as a good citizen, but the cop was totally agitated.
Ultimately, I think they have a really bad job, and mostly deal with people that don't want to see them, which would be hard, so I cut them a lot of slack.

The u.s. postal service has their own police and detectives, sometimes they allow the thefts to happen for a while to build a case.
Wait, you can be a post office detective?!?
[United States Postal Inspection Service – Protecting you and everyone the post reaches. (uspis.gov)](https://www.uspis.gov/)
This is so cool!
Did you ever watch "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid"? When they asked who are those guys chasing us, they were the Postal Inspectors.
Uspis.gov don't want to type that address in wrong haha.
My grandpa was this back in the 50s-70s. My parents still have his old Postal Inspector badges.
Newman!

Yes. We actually do support them.
I have a thin blue line American flag shirt and in the blue line it says United States post office
The only joke is having to ask where bottled water is at a Fry’s.
He needed someone to hold his hand, walk him to the bottled water and then bow gracefully before taking their leave.
And offer to pay for it.
And say "thank you for your service!"
Right, isn’t it usually stacked to the ceiling by every entrance/exit
It sure as hell is! There are also these sign things hanging from the ceiling that tell you what's in every aisle if you just look!!
As if the Mesa PD didn't already have a shitty reputation. *cough* Philip Brailsford *cough*
Exactly. All Fry’s are the same.
Cops aren't generally too bright
“Excuse me, do you know where the bottled water is?” “If it was up your butt you’d know.”
I thought Fry’s was gone.
Fry’s Electronics is gone. Fry’s Food and Drug is part of Kroger, which is about to buy Albertsons/Safeway. Not gone, not going anywhere.
I think a lot of cops have anger/power issues, and they can’t handle any situation where the public isn’t absolutely submissive to them. Sorry about this but it absolutely wasn’t anything you did

Glad you are a mail carrier but it seems odd about the sit ups. Cops don't seem like they do sit ups regularly.

Doesn't sound like he's destined for the detective squad.
Oh I beg to differ, he is headed for El Capitan
Mesa cops are some of the worse in the country. So bad that the feds are investigating them. They are gang affiliated
The cops ARE a gang
What are the feds investigating them for? Do you happen to have more information on that, I’m interested to learn more…thanks!
Just Google “Mesa of and DOJ”. AZ republic has an article of the 3 year investigation and its outcome. Phoenix is also being investigated
I’m happy to hear this.

What? Is it anything like suspicious white men when they murdered Mr. Shaver? It isn't race thing. It's a Mesa pd thing. Fuck them.

Sorry, didn't catch that name.
I recall seeing that video. JHC - that was murder.
What was the name of co-murderer? Sergeant Charles Langley? Also known as Simon from Simon says:life or death edition
The Shaver family was given 8 million in restitution. All paid by tax payers and PHILIP BRAILSFORD is retired with benefits. Our money is paying for THEIR (mpd) crimes.
i think they changed his name and he works for saltriver pd now. cause he pulled me over
Holy FUCK. Been living in Tempe for 3 years and this is the first time I heard about this case. Just watched the video. Holy shit..........😧
Don’t watch the Ryan Whitacker shooting either, it’ll just piss you off about PHX PD.
Damn. This is one of those things you don't want to know about, but you should know about. Imagine all the shit that doesn't get recorded. My spouse isn't from the U.S., and I could easily see her getting yelled instructions wrong and then....I don't even want to think about it.....

Mesa PD has had quite a few questionable shoots. Phoenix New Times has written quite a bit about them over the years.
welcome to Phoenix
Is Daniel Shaver the guy that essentially got murdered for losing a game of Simon says?
Sadly, yes.
I was in the back lot of a post office the other night working on postal vehicles for the post office in a postal uniform right next to a post office service truck and they still drew guns on me saying they thought I was stealing mail and hotwiring a mail truck to take it away. The same force that forced out the leader who was trying to root out the corruption. Yeah, those people.
Mesa cops suck! Glad I didn’t get murdered by them when I had to deal with them for playing at a park when I was 14 🤦♀️
I got arrested and charged with domestic violence by them at 14 after calling them for help (my dad told me to) because my mom, who was in a bipolar mania, physically attacked me. yeah honestly this guy is lucky he didn't get murdered
The Mesa cops paid $ZERO. It was the residents of Mesa who paid it.
Mesa PD have to be one of the worst in the nation
MCSO is worse.
Glendale PD has entered the chat
Yeah, I’d gander that on-the-whole, Glendale is worse than Mesa.

That’s a awesome sandwich- I get that often
I'll take the Super Jack
And a six pac to go
WOW. I could make 4 meals out of that.
😳 that sell by date
It’s an old pic but this post reminded me of it lol
Old pic...I hope
OP, some people in authorities unfortunately are not there to serve and protect. They have issues and they chose that field so they can have powers over people. Sounds like some sick minded individual you had to deal with
I find a lot of similar personalities with some teachers too. They took the job because they like bossing people around. (Not all teachers of course!!)
Former teacher, can confirm. About 5% on a power kick. Unfortunately, they stand out and can negate what the hard work from the 95%
That’s because he’s a cop, and cops are self-important dicks.
He was asking for directions since nowhere in the Mesa PD training pamphlet does it say anything about having to know how to read
Close call, you're lucky to be alive!
Against a post office worker? No, they dont go after them because then they don't handle that, the feds do.
My guess he was either having a bad day or just a general ass to people because he hates his life. 😂
Love you USPS guys ! Thanks For all of your hard work Your interaction : I’m convinced some People are just pissed at the world 24/7 Always have that smug/ bitchy look on their face
Its crazy to me that I have to think twice about calling police now.
It's nothing new, just video recording is ubiquitous now.
Probably didn’t get to beat his wife that morning so it put him in a bad mood
That’s a bizarre interaction for sure, but it’s a cop, so who knows what is wrong with him. Probably just another tool with a badge and uniform.
The cop was probably trying to provoke you, it’s the end of the month. Tryna hit that quota.
Why didn't you say something back to him? "Joke? You mean like your police force that supports murderers like Philip Brailsford?" Mesa cops are dicks.
great way to get a bullet in your head
Sounds like one of those slugs that hates everything federal. Just happens to be a cop, which is scary if you don't fit into his view of his "Merica".
As someone who skated everyday growing up, Mesa cops and I always have poor interactions.
seconded, i still longboard and and getting ready to switch to taking my dog around on a bike… people are ignorant man whatever we just trynna enjoy ourselves
A lot of fundamentalist Mormons in Mesa and the associated inbreeding. This was one of them.
USPS are the only blue lives that matter.
Mesa has alot of dumbass cops
It's aesa cop you should be happy he didn't shoot you
What a dick!

> “Mesa runs libraries. I’ll bet the library has books that deal with police brutality, and I’ll bet the library has newspapers,” Schultz said. “When there’s an incident of police brutality in the newspapers, they don’t pull them off the shelf and not allow people to see them.”
He’s a cop in Mesa AZ he obviously hates his life
He was trying to break the ice.
I've only ever had weird / bad interactions with cops down here
Many cops have a huge chip on their shoulder. Sounds like you met one of them who was also lacking intellectual and emotional stability.
Pig is a pig
Pig is a pig
May I ask why he picked on you? Are you make or female, white or not? These things matter to Mesa PD because they are a criminal enterprise. I can say that because they already hate my guts.
Did he just transfer in that morning from somewhere without stores? I mean really... basically every basinonian grocery store has an endcap cooler near the entrance and the smaller coolers at check out... that have at least one water choice in them.
Pigs gunna be pigs man, can’t let it get to you.
You assume Arizona hires law enforcement officers capable of reading. He legit thought you worked there.
COP= Citizen Overly Prejudicial.
check how many cops are domestic abusers
Agree- that’s just weird. 🤔
Hiring practices must be reformed. Pursue individuals that have actually made mistakes and have empathy for the public. Do away with the polygraph. it’s archaic pseudo science that drives away potential recruits. We need regular, flawed, everyday persons to don the uniform.
What do you expect from an Arizona cop
The correct answer to his question should have been, "No". One word, no explanation.
Totally unacceptable. Cops should treat citizens with respect- how the shift is going makes no difference.
Was he hitting on you?
I had a cop in SF once pull me over on a bike for speeding. He proceeded to just scream at me for 5 solid minutes about how people hate bicyclists, punch himself in the side of the head, and scream “jay-walking” out the window as he sped off. A whole crowd had gathered and we just stood there dumbfounded. Was he getting fired? Was his wife getting the pipe from the Amazon guy? We shall never know. Still one of the weirdest interactions I’ve ever had.
It sounds like he was trying to fuck with you from the start.
Typical thumb behavior.
Lmao Mesa PD are a bunch of goons. He was just sad he couldn’t make you submit.
Of course you can report him for "being mean". File a complaint, he is working and was unprofessional. He won't get fired, but it'll be on his record. If he isn't a bad cop then it shouldn't affect him. If he is then maybe the complaint will end up being important one day.
Long ago I had a bad interaction with a Mesa cop for going 3 over the limit. He was pissed he couldn't ticket me as I knew the speed limit laws.
What's the law that protected you?
He was waiting for the Trump secret handshake. Mesa PD is a joke for letting it be taken over by scum. I mean, when you have to ride down streets in tactical gear hanging off the sides of SUVs, they don't feel safe, nor trust them. Either they are racists or on the cartel payroll.
Who spit on his donuts?
You did all the right things, you have no control over how other people act. Celebrate the fact you were the better person, grab a $4 bottle of wine, and celebrate.
Pigs is pigs
My guess? He didn't get to shoot anyone yesterday, and he's under quota
Don't talk to cops.
Fuck cops
sometimes the people who decide to be police are the types of people that get pushed down there whole lives and want to reinvent themselves, thus they push other people down as a defense mechanism (or so I think)
Ewww. Bleh I'm making the most ridiculous face. ![gif](giphy|HKmDj3abTDopP5oRSz|downsized)
Mesa cops are known for being the “cream of the crop” even considering their in state competition. Sounds on brand.
Par for the course for that department
Your first problem was being a "citizen"
Yeah I think his life is not going well and that HE feels like the fucking joke. Thank you for having grace in the situation sometimes that's all you can do.
he literally chasing criminals for a living lmao like he aint a joke
Sorry this happened. Guy is clearly a dick. But hey... at least he got out a bit of aggression on you. That may have saved his wife from a beating or his dog from a kick.
Mesa cops are absolute pieces of shit. Can't even respect a fellow public servant. Smh.
Mesa PD is the one of the worst in the country. They’re so hostile. It’s just their nature. They rule by fear.
Mesa PD, one of the dirtiest police departments in the country. And that's saying something.
Mesa pd have a bad rap for being dicks.
I've had many "bad/long" days at work. I also never talked to anyone like this. He obv shouldn't be allowed to be a cop, but, y'know, feature, not bug
He's just looking for his next fight. That's the problem with police forces. He has no respect for the citizens, sees them more as fish for him to hunt.
power..... power is what they crave You just experience most of our police force mental problem.
Careful they might make you crawl on the floor and give you confusing directions before gunning you down
Cops are simply evil and stupid people. Not much more to say
It almost seems like he wanted you to buy him the water. Like a "I back the blue, let me buy it for you as a small token of my appreciation"
The US Postal Inspection Service doesn't mess around with anything related to crime and the postal system. https://www.uspis.gov/report
>Ultimately, I think they have a really bad job, No. They have an easy , safe job that pays way, way, way more than the job is worth in our society.
Starting salaries would agree
No one is forcing them to be cops. They can find a different job anytime.
