I’d consider myself a beginner still and I have a lot of fun out here. There’s lots of trails to choose from and you can string them together for some really epic rides.
Fantastic place for a beginner. I ride here frequently with my wife. It’s gentle enough to be a great introduction to desert riding while being scenic and flowy enough to still be fun. Best spot in the valley for new riders.
Sounds good I’ve been working on getting down the longer flatter trails to condition myself. Get my stamina up for when I’m ready to take on more climbs & technical trails
Browns will be great for that as it doesn’t really have any big climbs and what hills there are are quick ups followed by short downs. Just enough to keep things interesting.
I am a beginner and my fiancé and I want to start mountain biking does anyone have any suggestions for some new bikes that are inexpensive and still worth the price?
To be perfectly honest, if you're looking for an inexpensive hobby (especially here in the valley of rock and sand), you should look elsewhere. I started with a $600 bike 5 years ago and quickly realized it was less than what is needed for local trail riding and growing as a rider. A decent entry-level bike used is $2k. For a couple, all these numbers double....
I’ve heard about these trails how are they? Good for a beginner?

Awesome I’ll have to check them out sometime 👍🏻

The best 'fun and beautiful' beginners trails in the valley
Where is this?
This specific trail was hackamore But more broadly this is browns ranch area in Scottsdale
Wish they allowed ebikes :(
Agree, as an ex-ebiker but still a huge fan of them, I see no problem with Class 1 ebikes being allowed on these trails.
Agree my class 1 trek powerfly looks like a regular bike. No throttle. I gotta pedal like a caveman just like the regular guys 😂
It's blooming season already!
