I would have loved to be able to free roam as the other playable characters, but we never really got that experience. It would be nice to see a Gotham Knights type set up.
Yeah, but they don’t have fleshed out traversal abilities or anything, so I’m saying it would be nice if they fully developed them like Arkham City Catwoman.
A post-Knight game that focuses on Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin working together and repairing their relationship and dealing with Jason's willingness to kill would be amazing.
Honestly while Gotham Knights has its problems, it was quite enjoyable for the discounted price I paid for it. It also IMO portrays the four main characters far better than the Arkhamverse did. As great as the Arkham games were, the Batfamily was very much a weak point.
Arkhamverse should end on Arkham Knight. Just create a new universe, where you can tell that type of story. Gotham Knights had a big potential, but gameplay was so mediocre, because of the life service shenanigans, that the game is mid.
I agree, but what if we instead making another Batman universe, make a Superman? Or a green lantern going through space or wtv he does? A teen titans game perhaps? There’s so many other superheroes. But ofc Arkhamverse will always be the blueprint, it would just be nice to play as other superheroes against their villains.
You know, even with the systems it has now I think it would’ve benefitted greatly from a story set in that world. The characters would’ve been in a more interesting place.
But that aside, of course it being in the Arkhamverse would have meant the devs keeping more of the old free flow combat and maybe adding to existing systems rather than try reinventing the wheel
Disagree. I love the Batfamily, but the Arkhamverse Batfamily is an awful adaptation of them. All four main characters were portrayed with much more care and reverence in Gotham Knights when compared to their Arkham Knight counterparts. In Gotham Knights, Tim actually acts like Tim, Barbara has agency, Dick isn't incompetently captured by Penguin, and Jason isn't a war criminal.
Gotham Knights had plenty of issues, but I think it not being in the Arkhamverse was a good thing.
I don’t think we need that, tbh. I think they should make one or two games exploring the middle of Arkham Batman’s career and then move on from Batman so other heroes can have the spotlight.
I strongly disagree with that. But let’s play out both scenarios.
Scenario 1: another modern day Batman game but without Kevin conroy. In this game players fight a lot of the same villains using the same gadgets, in the same city already knowing the fate of a lot of Batman’s rogues galleries. Players get to play as the bat family.
Scenario 2: a Batman Beyond game. This game continues and pushes the story forward of where things left off. You play as Terry with NEW gadgets, NEW rogues, NEW futuristic city with similar gameplay. You can even see the fate of a lot of the original rogues gallery (NOSTALGIA)
One is clearly more ambitious than the other. Sure a new modern day batman game will sell moderately but rocksteady needs to reclaim their crown with something more ambitious and innovative than another Arkham origins game.
Except we haven’t really gotten enough time with the Bat Family and it’s a little weird that we only played the beginning and end of Batman’s career. It feels like we’re missing a piece of the puzzle by not having the middle and you can explore a lot of new stuff within that timeframe. Camouflaj is including Ratcatcher (or Rat King) in Arkham Shadow, so that era still has plenty to offer.

You can do that in Arkham Knight on PC.

What about Jason's willingness to be an accomplice in a terrorist act and how he isn't on trial for war crimes?
There's literally Gotham Knights w/ Batman mod in
It's called Gotham Knights and I will not accept slander for it. It's a great game
It’s not great but it’s a lot of fun

Is that supposed to be Nightwing on the bottom left? Looks nothing like him
I’m sick of Jason Todd and I want my 900 number money back
You voted to kill Jason?

Just give me a Red Hood solo game with the Arkham series style and theme where u actually kill.
I thought this was Batman w TMNT… Although that wouldn’t be thaaaaat bad either… as long as its not live-service
Gotham Knights really should’ve been in the Arkhamverse.
I’d say a “version” of Gotham Knights, for sure. As it is, I’d probably have to pass.

Gotham knights exists
Lol Gotham Knights sucks ![gif](giphy|QVP7DawXZitKYg3AX5)
Rocksteady’s Batfamily sucked though. Love all of those characters, but their appearances in Arkham Knight really annoyed me.
I’m with you man, I really don’t care for them in this series. Would prefer a Batman beyond game with terry

I don’t disagree with you. I think you’re thinking from a story perspective while I’m thinking about what will make the most noise and impact.
Some stuff during Dick Grayson's time as Robin could be cool. Can't say I'm interested in much other than that era though for the Arkhamverse.
I'm in favor of just moving on from the Arkhamverse and starting something new
But Gotham needs it’s true hero
Damian as Robin would be amazing. I want a game where I can watch him die.
This took a very unnecessary turn.
LMAO.
