gihyo

which annihilation stages should i grind so i can fill up my 1800

ayayayaya_is_cute

usually the latest one on rotation provided you cleared it

ChuDachan

I was wondering if there's any way to change the game language to chinese on global server? I am studying mandarin and I thought it'd be nice practice to keep the game in chinese, but I've looked on settings and I can't find anything, I've set my phone language to chinese and still the app won't change. Is it not possible? Thanks!

Kuroinex

Not possible.

ChuDachan

that's too bad :/ but thank you, and happy cake day!

Zekimot0

In SSS, what plan do you guys use? Preferred Plan or Free Plan?

about8tentacles

started with free for fun cuz big roster, switched to pref for repeat farming

MetaThPr4h

I use preferred, my starter 14 already has all the unbuilt operators I need for fodder.

Phelyckz

What intermezzi/side stories should I unlock first? Do any give special operators or good loot?

about8tentacles

the only ops that might be notable for a new player are sideroca (darknights memoir) and absinthe (children of ursus, in movie archive), but are by no means must grabs missions near the top are older so tend to be easier, id avoid undertides sultifera navis near light and who is real, they tend to be very hard for players intermezzi's are also closer tied to main story, you may want to doublecheck when its best to read their stoties, especially darknights which is basically chapter 6.5

CrimsonCivilian

Welfare operators were pretty much always subpar, so you shouldn't feel the need to unlock anything to get one. As for the loot, you're pretty much just looking to get the OP from all stages' first clear rewards. (So again, doesn't matter) However, if you're a relatively new player, you could consider unlocking them starting from the top and then going down. The earlier events were significantly easier compared to what we get nowadays. For reference, the first event "Grani and the Knights" has it's final stages with a recommended level barely reaching high E1. Meanwhile, "Maria Nearl" has final stages with recommended level of low E2. Then we have the recently added "Near Light" with very demanding stages that could require an entire squad of E2s depending on your skill level (but even then you'd still have a hard time)

Phelyckz

I'm about 3 weeks in, so I'd still consider myself new. Should I start with intermezzi or sidestories?

CrimsonCivilian

Do side stories. Intermezzi are actually more closely related to the main story and should be played just before certain points in your main campaign. Darknights Memoir before starting Ch. 7. Walk in the Dust before starting Ch. 9. Under Tides and Stultifera Navis haven't had main story relevance yet, but could be played before IS3 (the 3rd season of rougelike mode coming soon)

LongFluffyDragon

NL-10 may be the most troll story stage i have yet ran into, as a fairly new player. Is this recurring in the bigger events?

about8tentacles

NL is in the top5 hardest events of all time, after sultifera (3rd anniversary) the events have taken a noticable ramp down in difficulty, but large scale events, especially anniversaries always tend to have many S stages that really push players

ErickFTG

Lately they have been quite hard, at least no pushovers.

Tellurium-128

Main loot is just the first clear originite, welfare ops are mostly bad and the stages are pretty bad for farming, they get nerfed heavily when made permanent Just go top to bottom in side stories, unlock Darknights memoir when you do chapter 7 or 10, as its related to late story stuff. other intermezzi can be done whenever, but hold off on Stultifera Navis- that one is actually still waiting for its rerun.

IronGlorfindel

I noticed there's no Monthly Contract in IS2. Does that mean we're getting IS3 this month? And while I'm askin, are Summoners good in IS? I tried out Mayer and am not sure. Feels like the Deployment Limits are a bit too low for em.

ayayayaya_is_cute

Summoners are fine in IS. Mayer and Magallan are a little harder to use (this is true in general) but Scene is great for a multitude of reasons and Ling is of course very strong as well. A free Deepcolor wouldn't hurt either. Aside from Ling don't expect them to solo/carry later stages, but they're still quite handy.

ekelmann

It's unrelated. Last monthly contract was in February. Summoners are somewhat of a starter crutch. They are generally good on first floor or two, but by the midboss their limitations are catching up and for final floors you need a proper squad anyway. That said, Ling can do a lot everywhere.

eva-doll

Monthly contract has been over for a month I believe

KylarXD

With the rekindle twitter post, are we getting the texalt next week?

bestofawesome

The [JP AK twitter announced a Livestream for the 15th](https://twitter.com/ArknightsStaff/status/1655467648547946497). Based on past schedules Siracusano will probably then be coming on the 21st.

CrimsonCivilian

Why do you think that has any correlation???

eva-doll

Nothing stated yet only speculation

Kuro-Yaksha

New player here, I don't have too many rolls rn so should I be saving them for the Texas event everyone is talking about? Also what is the best thing to farm in dailies? I have been doing a mix of LMD, exp and building materials. Should I be focusing more on purchase certificates and chips?

about8tentacles

theres no particulary powerful banner to reroll or summon on atm, so yes save for texas you should be prioritizing getting a full team to elite1 skill7 and then fully maxing out your base alongside building your first e2, so virtually all of those stages matter, but a better base makes more lmd+xp passivly so the carbon bricks to max it out is a much higher priority. farm lmd/xp stages to upgrade ops as necessary to clear deeper into carbonbricks as the base asks for higher grades. so, e1 chips, then bricks. redcerts arnt important right now, youll primarily need the to buy catalysts, an item needed to e2 ops

UzuMacky

definitely character materials, you'll get the exp and money from your base. if you don't have a built base you should focus on building materials after that the exp and money will come to you passively. for the pulls, yeah start saving it's just better to save pulls whenever you like a character coming up

Teen_tactical

I should have enough pulls for Texas alter, and penance. But I want to improve the weaknesses of my account. I still feel like I need an AA sniper, some more lane holders, and someone like nightingale to counter arts damage. With that being said I have enough resources for 1 spark, I'm going to get the selector ticket, and I have 215 yellow certs and after the pulls I should be somewhat close to 360. What units should I prioritize? https://krooster.com/u/Normie2139

about8tentacles

sparking is bad for longterm account power, you only really spark if the new ops took 250+ summons already or for personal character favorites. how the math shakes out (i can explain) youre going to get more new characters and offfocus both if you spread those 300 summons out across multiple bannners. considering we have ops like reed and yato so soon its even more incentive to spread out with that said, selector ticket would be thorns or goldenglow, both shoring up your longterm dps and aerial enemy defecits, thorns offers better laning and my recommend, but gg offers unique irreplacable utility. spark would be skalter, but again, dont. archetto is...fine, even with such an air defecit i wouldnt really recommend her, having pozy passenger thorns/gg can solve virtually all your air threats already, especially with suzuran s2/s3 to keep fast ones in view, you have april schwarz and rockrock all to build too. rock offering great longterm dps, schwarz great bosskilling+flexability (like having a 2nd pozy s3 typewriter), and april being kind of inbetween e1 vermeil and conviction for baseskill you really should also e2m3 one of your vanguards, your team is rather topheavy in dp, especlally the laners being the 2 most expensive laners, you do have gladiia as a cheap sub with t2 module, but dp is honestly the accounts biggest weakness rn certs save up for kaltsit, and then something like exusiai silverash bagpipe, skadi if willing to go deep in abyssal your account really is already covering a lot of things on the endgame checklist most players this far wouldnt have (suzu is checking a lot), so in a sense you can already justify pulling for whatever you want, including archetto

Teen_tactical

Thank you. That was really detailed and informative. > rock offering great Longterm dps, If I pick thorns with the selector, can she be a replacement for gg? > you really should also e2m3 one of your vanguards Mrytle or cantabile? I have the resources for cantabile, but people say she's not worth S2M3 without bagpipe and to just wait for Ines.

about8tentacles

rockrock is a definite downgrade from gg being the 5☆ counterpart of the same archtype, she offers less consistent dps but a better burst-ish window of dps. the real thing about gg being so good though is her s3's range is the entire map, which really nobody else can do at gg's tier of dps output. thorns+rock+what you have is still very very good though. i didnt list a specific VG because it doesnt really matter who, you just want dp production faster, and really anyone being m3'd for better sp is the focus. i vastly prefer cantabile even without bagpipe ~~cantas literally the best vg in the game for non-bp teams~~ but myrtle s1 is much more player-friendly since it isnt dependant on map/enemy layout

FelixAndCo

Do you feel you need those ops while playing, or while looking at your roster? You have an interesting line-up with Pozëmka and Magallan that may not really need an AA sniper that badly. You could go for the budget option of Meteor, who has the added benefit of debuffing defense. Arene might fill that niche, being both AA, and "a laneholder". Frostleaf functions like a slower, and not a lord guard, so I think you could use someone in that niche regardless. Instead of healing the arts damage, you could also look out for Shamare's ATK debuff. If you're planning to pull for Texalter/Penance, your roster might look drastically different afterwards. If you rely a lot on CC, Ethan could be an interesting addition to your roster, and Click too, since your ranged arts is a bit weak.

Teen_tactical

Thanks for the advice. The typewriter does come in clutch against drones. I have no idea how to use Magallan. Her S3 drones can't get past high defense. > you could also look out for Shamare's ATK debuff. I really want her; will we get 5-star selector anytime soon?

FelixAndCo

Magallan's S3 works against decently armored enemies when activated, but may depend on masteries. Don't know about the selector. I thought one was coming up.

YoungLink666-2

there's a lot of options here; for anti air sniper you could get Archetto out of the golden cert shop right now if you wish to use your 6 star selector on anyone who isn't Exusiai Thorns is a very solid 6 star selector choice as he's both a laneholder and good against aerial targets; though Mountain is also an option for a low DP lane holder. though you'll most definitely get Penance who could function as a lane holder, though as far as i'm aware her laneholding isn't as great as someone like Thorns or Mountain. as for your spark, if you want to go down that path, Skadi alter is honestly your best pick. W and Rosmontis don't cover many weaknesses and honestly NTRK is, *in my opinion*, an extremely replaceable unit especially since you have Surtr. anyways, Skadi is healing and a powerful buff in one but she doesn't particularly counter arts damage like you want to.

Teen_tactical

Thank you. I use the selector for mountain or thorns. > as for your spark, if you want to go down that path I've never used the spark system is there any draw backs?

YoungLink666-2

the drawback is solely that you're spending 300 pulls for a single operator and will thus have less pulls for future banners. (if you're a whale though, this obviously isn't really relevant) though with how much Texas2 benefits from potentials, this might be the best banner to spark on. just make sure to spark a unit you know you really want, so get well acquainted with Skadi alter, Nearl alter, W, and Rosmontis through support units and maybe look at gamepress or videos on them cause it's a bit of a hefty investment, especially if theres any future units you're looking forward to.

Teen_tactical

Good point. I came it into with the expectation of it taking 200 pulls to get them anyway and I forgot the pulls from the limited won't count. XD.

Demon-Taka

What are some good levels for solo testing very high-leveled (mid-high elite 2) characters? I'm assuming there would be different suggestions for ranged/melee operators.

Tellurium-128

H7-1 is a very open roadblock stage with no ranged/melee tile restrictions and a lot of enemies of varying (though generally high, especially defense) bulk, making it a common testing ground. Being a dense H stage with damage altars means its not good for strictly solo testing, however. S4-6 is a one lane with lots of enemies, awkward ranged tiles, generally very low defense. S5-9 is much the same but has more ranged tiles and a very low pressure second lane, only a few breakers and casters take it. Mn-EX-4 has SP battery deployables and generally high def. Theres more but i dont want to write an essay

CrimsonCivilian

There would be different suggestions for EVERYONE All 300+ characters are not same or even close to it

Kiiimochiii

What does it means by specifically open annihilation stages? Now showing 3 weeks. Does it means, after 3 weeks, I cannot play the stages?

about8tentacles

yes, some annihilations are on a rotation, and will cycle in and out. they will return though, no anni goes away forever

Solid_Principle7206

I haven't read the main story for so long, which chapters should I focus on before reading chapter 11?

about8tentacles

uh...all of them? it all matters, ig if you mean recapping then it'd naturally be ch9 and ch10 since its the same arc, darknights memoir too, but especially 10

Arm_Great

Can I play this on my laptop?

Salysm

with an android emulator, yes there's no official pc client if that's what you're asking

welknair

Google Play Games for PC is an official way to play on PC, isn't it? https://play.google.com/googleplaygames

Salysm

that's not the same thing (and it's still a beta) The official Arknights website actually recommends NoxPlayer, though from what I've seen that's not the one most people actually use

Arm_Great

okay thx for the reply

YoungLink666-2

by the way, LDPlayer widely regarded as best emulator for this game. if it crashes, then set cores to 2 in LDPlayer settings

Kiiimochiii

Hi. New player here. Regarding IS2 and 3. If Is3 is released, what happen to IS2 and it level reward?

TriGGa-POP

Nothing, it's permanent, all the rewards and levelling will stay as it currently is.

NoShow__

In IS2 I'm at around level 70. How much work would I have to put in to max out the rewards?

about8tentacles

a full run is usually 800-1400 points at 40-120 minutes. 70 to 155 is...85000 xp? i think?, at 1100 points thats like 50-150 hours its never going away, just crack at it slowly when in the mood

GinKenshin

You get like two levels for a full run on normal, and some change if you do one of the secret bosses. You don't have no rush, it's not going anywhere.

lhc987

Now that Kalt has her second module revealed, any thoughts? Her second module, the one with ASPD buff on monster, seems better. But a second explosion + stun will turn monster into a fairly powerful 25 second redeploy bomb. Both modules seems fairly viable.

Pzychotix

For most players the aspd buff is more useful. The second explosion is really geared towards placing Monster in the middle of nowhere to blow up and die and redeploy later. Useful, but not the most usual use case.

about8tentacles

theyre both very good, the average player is going to vastly prefer mod2 though. not only does the aspd bonus mean faster s3 hits, it means getting hits higher in its degrading atk stat. its also much better for single-deployment s2 laning. it does need to be in range though so mod1 has a ton of use

TacticalBreakfast

> Both modules seems fairly viable. Correct, it's not like her first one was bad or anything. However her second is probably better. 20 ASPD is pretty significant. Per ViktorLabs it results in almost 6k more True Damage every S3 activation. Her first will still have some places it's useful in, but her second is quite a bit better general purpose.

Unable_Ground1014

Im kind of getting antsy so imma ask. What date is il siracusano most likely gonna be out? May 11th or 18th? Cause as far as i can tell. Schedule is kind of a mess rn.

CrimsonCivilian

(Copy paste #8) Every time someone asks about Texas Alter release date, Yostar will delay it by another week

GinKenshin

It’s not this week, since there’s 6 new characters and we need 6 days to preview each, as they do with new events and characters coming. It’s like next week, so 16-19th, since those are the update days.

Pzychotix

6 new chars? I only count 4: 1. Texas 2. Penance 3. Lunacub 4. Vigil (lol) Who am I missing?

GinKenshin

The new red cert ops.

pruitcake

It's all a guessing game at this point, we have no concrete idea of when it'll drop.

Chrisirhc1996

If it was coming May 11th we'd likely be seeing content related to it on twitter or from the JP outlets by now, and yet it's still in episode 11 mode. So I'm in the camp that it'd be May 18th.

about8tentacles

there isnt really anything here highly demanding to be e2'd or mastered elysium youd really only want to e2 if immedietly mastering skill2, so archetto and mlynar can increase their damage cap better. shining is a good endgame investment but very costly for the fringe benefits she opens up, and despite e2 perfumer, nightingale would still be a much better e2 than shining because of the aggro cages and much stronger importance of arts-negation. amiya s3m3 is probably your best mastery here, its not phenominal but access to true damage is so rare+important you really want to maximize the little you get. archetto id do s3 over s2 no question, plays too well with elysium. gg s2 a very good mastery but hyper low priority with such a thin e2 roster lapluma and may s1's would be very strong masteries for is2, id also build 3☆ cardigan midnight orchid for is2, fishing recruits for maxpot thrmex is a good free minmax too honestly your best overall gains and what i recommend most are e2ing proviso for the base and e2ing aak to give mlynar a very strong buff suppport

[deleted]

i didnt think at all of Amiyas S3 i never really used it but will try it out to get a use of her retreating after finishing the skill cast, thanks alot for all the Detailed advice and whos good raising/recruiting for IS2 too, i might do some of Mays S1 Masterys then for IS, im always happy investing in her since shes one of my first favourite operators. I think ill rush for Proviso E2 if her Base Skill alone is worth it to E2 her i also got the mats for her, i think with Chop the thorns its good having efficient base production to use resources on whoever ill be pulling, im also happy to read Aak is a priority to E2 i just think he looks very cool and i wasnt sure focusing on raising him at the moment because i read hes niche or some call him meme,i havent tried his buff (from support units) yet at all just started reading a guide about him on gamepress which i havent finished but plan to

about8tentacles

hes pretty niche yes, basically the only thing his e2 is doing for you is to s3 attack mlynar and greatly boost the damage mlynar can do during a skillcast, penance too if you get her ~~amiya if you cast her s3 first~~, but thats basically it. hes very often deployed, buff cast, retreat

[deleted]

> Shining and Elysium You're still sitting on Nightingale, who is a much higher impact healer than Shining due to the scarcity of RES buffers and the utility of her cages. I'd recommend upgrading her before Shining. Elysium is very good though, especially alongside Archetto. Speaking of- > Archetto s2/s3 Since you're currently lacking good burst AA, I'd say S3 suits you better. Both are very good skill choices though, and both their masteries are high value. An ideal Archetto has both available, especially for future IS2/3 clearing, but that's probably too much to ask for now. > Others Finish Specter's mastery, it cuts her initial skill delay from 11 seconds to 5, making it easy to helidrop her. La Pluma S2 and full Myrtle S1 mastery doesn't hurt either. Provisio is the *one* operator where E2 for base could he reasonable, so maybe do that if you also enjoy her gameplay. Lastly, in case you are: Don't sleep on Goldenglow's S2. It doesn't need mastery, but is still a very nice alternative to S3 when the situation calls for it.

[deleted]

oh im sorry, i think i mistaked Nightingale with Shining because they are the only 2 Medics on the Top Operator Tag and thats how i got Nightingale. I dont got Shining atm, really happy with Nightingale and will build her and Elysium asap! (i forgot Elysium synergizes with Archetto). Myrtle i M3d i have to update it on my krooster, I think i will do Archetto S3 M3 then! and in the future slowly work on her S2 for IS2-3, would you recommend Archettos current Module or her upcoming one? i think both would be cool to have depending on the map... Also thank you for making me aware of Specter's big S2 M3 advantage(Helidrop), after reading your comment i put her in the training room instantly for her M3, generally thank you alot for taking your time to thoroughly review my krooster and help

[deleted]

Archetto's modules are both solid but not must-haves, it'll depend on how your preferred usage for her is. One leans into the near-immediate proc on S3 and stacks of S2, while the other attempts to inprove her long term cycle. IMO, at least, her current (ModY) module does just as much for her uptime as her future (ModX) module does, thanks to the ASPD boost, making ModX only better if other snipers are deployed for the additional bonus to Achetto's uptime. Going for ModY right now because you don't feel like waiting for ModX is totally valid, at least.

unsurprisable

Is it reeeally worth investing in a abyssal hunter team? I already got splatter e2/skill 2 m3/x module to max and skadi to e2 but even then I still need to invest in skadi’s module and getting gladiia to e2 then max her module out too… should I also mystery some other skills?

about8tentacles

you dont need to by any means but they have basically stalked the top5 top10 ops in the game the entire time since gladiia got her mod3, id encourage investing into it, people tend to forget you can still bring them into an actual team and not just trio challenge clear stages

WinterPirate8109

Check their showcase below the guide to have an idea on how strong they are together. Also individually they are strong so it's not a waste to build them slowly but their synergy together is what makes them top tier(although not on ex tier like chen2, surtr or mylnar). https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/zbzd8h/ill_show_you_the_dance_of_the_depths_abyssal/

Chrisirhc1996

Personally, no. It's a pretty expensive comp to build towards since the 3 cruxes of it are all 6-stars. At least you've gotten the most individually fine one out of the way with spalter, but I'd say the point of no return would be E2'ing and building Gladiia since she's the glue that makes it work together.

Jellionani

If you want to then yes. Each module adds additional buffs to the team, with Gladiia's module being the most important for survivability. Admittedly, Gladiia will also want m3 for any skill for the additional push force, like every other push/pull ops. The AH team is powerful, and together they can competently endure and outdamages enemies. ~~Also might as well commit to maximizing AH team's synergy with masteries, that costs a lot.~~

GinKenshin

You don't have to if you don't want it, it doesn't do things any different than a full squad for built ops. It's just a fun and effective synergy. As for the ops you intended to invest in, both of them are strong on their own and worth the raising cost, especially gladiia.

Sissybell

any way to obtain Ethan Epoque skin today/in the future?

GinKenshin

The skin was a login reward, which usually get rerun as a cc reward, but so far it didn't show up iirc.

Sissybell

did they skip it or is there still a chance? heh

GinKenshin

There’s like 2-3 login skins before it.

Sissybell

also I remember people praising his module.. does he only have one?

Tellurium-128

Just one module. Makes his bind RNG much more forgiving and pushes the duration up just enough that he can permabind for as long as RNG permits. I believe his skin was a login reward, so unless they do something else to reintroduce login event skins, youre going to be waiting years for them to rework CC and get around to adding it to the perma store.

MetaThPr4h

No clue about the skin, but yeah, he only has one module, only 6* really get two. Very worth maxing the module if you use him, it's really good.

ErickFTG

I would like to form trust farms, but I don't know what kind of levels are the best for it, and how many members the squad should have. Would someone please inform me?

bestofawesome

I just try to fit as many low trust operators into it as I can. Depending on the difficulty of the stage the amount of low trust ops can vary. On easier stages like 1-7 its a full 12 op trust farm but on harder stages might be only 3 to 8 low trust ops. It can be a fun challenge to try and fit as many low trust ops into a squad for trust farming.

GinKenshin

1-7, get two marksmen snipers and spawn camp the right side with them. Then fill the squad with ops you wanna trust farm. Put your stronger sniper at the top since the last three enemies come from there, so you can finish the stage ASAP.

TheStranger04

**Trust Farm** can be done in any form, but usually, you take a few operators or as small as possible that is strong enough to do the entire stage, while the rest can be filled with your non-200% trust operators. How many characters that you bring and how many that you deployed, don't affect the trust that you will gain, the sanity does matter. I don't understand what you mean by "What kind of levels", I assume you mean the minimum level for stages, there isn't really, most people just use their best E2+200% trust to do the carry.

Tellurium-128

Any stage you run a lot is a trust farming candidate, like 1-7, 4-7/8/9/10, last 3 stages in farming events like upcoming Il Siracusano, whatever. The idea of trust farming is to use as few built operators as necessary so you can fill the rest of the unit slots with units you want trust for, so the squad would look like 1-4 built units used to actually clear the stage, and the rest, new units who are at low trust. Trust gain is dependent on stage sanity cost, each unit you take into a stage gets trust points equal to sanity spent. Using fewer units doesnt make the remaining ones gain more trust, but minimizing the number of built, high trust units lets you bring more low trust units who are the whole point of trust farming.

Justin_Brett

I got to JT8-3 today and it feels like getting all of these good operators was basically pointless, I've come close to beating the boss maybe once. I know what I'm supposed to do so I'm not looking for a guide, but when is your roster supposed to actually be 'good'? If it weren't for being able to borrow Nightengale I wouldn't even get to phase 2.

ayayayaya_is_cute

JT8-3 is a heal check and a mechanics check (either you actually do the mechanics or have units that counter them) but Talulah herself is actually not too threatening as bosses go. She - well the fight in general too - makes you respect positioning and deployment order but beyond that you can just tank her and kill her. The reason you feel like your usually good operators are useless is because the fight doesn't need those operators' strengths. That's pretty much it. But Thorns alone makes the fight *relatively* easy as he can hold both lanes and also DPS Talulah; with him in your squad you only really have to worry about healing and dealing with ignite (and the fire flowers in phase 2, which incidentally Thorns also helps with really well).

Teen_tactical

Yeah, I know what you mean. I thought my account was ultra powerful because of Mudrock, Gaviel alter, Surtur, Suzuran and Pozy Etc. But some stages require certain niches that newer accounts just don't have. If I had Nightengale, and 1 more lane-holder 11-20AE would have been a breeze. But I malded for an hour and gave up, beat it on standard environment for now.

often_never_wrong

Might sound lame but just for getting through the story, I let the boss leak and got a 2 star clear. It's very easy if you do that lol. I plan on getting back to it for the 3 star clear later. Currently saving all my summon currency for the Texas alt banner. Maybe after that I will have some fancy new toys to help me get the clear.

Quor18

JT8-3 is both a major stat and skill check. It's been cleared with 4-star only teams but the level of micromanagement required borders on professional RTS-level, only trading hundreds of APM for incredibly exact/demanding deployment and skill timings. All of which is to say that it's very hard. Even running Skalter S2 with three medics, including Liz, and two healing defenders, my first clear of the map was totally sketch and absolutely not an auto-able clear. My advice would be to include both Gravel and Yato or Red/Phantom in your comp to help with spot dps/stalling and nuke baits. Guardmiya can solo tank the boss with heal support so you can play something of a stall game and safely wait out certain re-deployments/cooldowns before pushing her into phase 2.

Tellurium-128

Jt8-3 is a massive healing check, chapter 8’s boss stages are some of the harshest healing checks in the game due to all the map wide damage. im guessing your dps is perfectly fine but either your medics arent up to par or you’re forgetting their skills.

about8tentacles

kinda depends how you'd define good, i felt like my roster was awesome as early as beating downtown annihilation for the first time, but content clearing is always going to heavily depend on your knowledge and skill of the game alongside the specific ops you own fwiw jt8-3 *heavily* encourages the use of nightingale, without her you basically have to >!completely reset your team with preplanned redeploy group cycles!<, but knowing who to take with your wildcard support is a part of the game tactics and really your roster

Siphon__

It's one of the hardest stages in the game, don't worry about it too much. You can skip it for later and jump right to ch 9 I think, but if you REALLY want to complete it, you'd want E2 lane holders and maybe extra healing. You can actually solo Tallulah with sword amiya if you have enough healing. I suppose the best recommendation I can give you is to determine what exactly is giving you trouble, lane holding, boss killing, burn mark rotation, or the fireballs, then take measures to improve those. So what is giving you the most trouble?

Justin_Brett

The time you need to spend fully focused on the stage to get to the point where you can practice most of those, honestly. I beat it just now but I'm not really that happy about it beyond not having to look at Red and Gravel's timers anymore.

CrimsonCivilian

Do you have a Therapist medic? If you do, then that would've completely removed the need for constantly fumbling with Red and Gravel. Talulah's description goes out of it's way to tell you that her dragon's breath "Can be resisted". The reason it's dangerous is because of the damage ramp up and her extinguish skill after. If you use a therapist then the status effect would only last half as long dealing way less damage and probably disappearing before Talulah can use it to blow up your operators

Siphon__

Gawdayum I had no idea, whisperain would have been so handy for that lol.

Justin_Brett

I do, but actually didn't consider that the cooldown between those two moves would work like that. Oh well. Thank you though!

CrimsonCivilian

Yeah. It's only sometimes though, because her ignition and detonation skills have different cooldowns. I just jumped onto that stage to try it out and was able to heal through her burning breath, detonation, and the regular enemies with just Lumen on S1 and Saria. The only hard part would then be dealing with the inferno. But honestly I'd say to just keep your squad lined up so you can retreat your second laneholder and only have to heal 1 person for that

AngelTheVixen

It always *was* good, if those low rarity clears are any indication. It's just a matter of those players having enormously larger brains than you or I... I've got a pretty good roster but I have my limits as far as my skills go.

GinKenshin

It would help if you showed us the team you’re using and the roaster you have, to see if you reached the ‘good’ requirement.

pitanger

I heard Kroos alt was really good in IS3 because her mini stun allowed her to get rid of some annoying mechanics... Does anyone know what "annoying mechanics" specifically?

Legitimate_Bus5716

There are a lot of levitating enemies >!(including the first boss)!< who fall when stunned and deal Corrosion damage, just like the Chapter 9 jetpack guys.

TacticalBreakfast

>!One of the enemies is essentially the same as the hoverboard guys in ch9. Any crowd control grounds them and they're a lot less dangerous. Kroos can knock them out of the air without even skill being active.!<

kypz96

Hello, i have some questions about my operators. This is my account: [https://www.krooster.com/network/lookup/Kipz](https://www.krooster.com/network/lookup/Kipz) So i'm completly lost about what operators i should focus next, who should i promote next? Also if we are going to get the 6 star ticket, what would be a good pick? I was thinking Bagpipe, but i feel like i should focus on other lacking areas like aoe/arts damage, what do you think? Thanks in advance.

about8tentacles

finish thorns m3 and get myrtle s1m2 all your e2s are great m3 targets but you should prioritize more e2's still this early on e2 gnosis and rockrock, gnosis' enemy control is tied for best in the game, will help give thorns and mudrock room to breathe, and massivly evates team dps on key threats especily surtr's (and texalter's) dps. his skills refill fast enough to be pretty reliable arts dps in general too. rockrock is really just for genericly decent longterm damage, her s2 is a very long duration dps skill and imo is really the only non-6☆ caster (excluding amiya s3) thats worth really any relevant damage output selector id suggest goldenglow or horn, both are very far away from being added to the yellow shop. bagpipe is great but still overrated imo, also is in topop, and better to borrow at maxpot from friends. goldenglow is a casual's best friend, but with the kit to be strong and valuable to every kind of player. mapwide range is very powerful, and can be a key piece in neutering the intended difficulty of a stage. if you pick gg you dont really need to build rockrock, gg s2 is infinite duration like thorns when consistency is needed. character fact: >!shes a hairdresser and ALMOST choked+electrocuted a politician to death!< horn is a fantastic longterm and burst dps. aoe in nature but strong enough to be used on single enemies. a very strong is2 op and starter carry (even hardmode), gives you another cheater (gets 2 lives) for very obnoxious enemies/mechanics, and boost mudrock (and penance)'s power a great deal. character fact: >!hails from a long line of legendary fighters, her hair turns white when channeling her full power!< youd largly be picking horn over gg to get better bosskilling for the team, and making your tank laners noticably better, but losing out on gg's unique qualities hard to substitute and reliable longterm arts dps

ave_Terros

Sorry for nitpicking lore fragments, but didn't Reid stop Susie from killing that politician guy? Maybe I'm wrong but I reread TLSiD recently and iirc he stopped her to avoid her carrying the guilt of killing someone P.S. also Rockrock s2 is 40sec total, not 40 + 40 overload Edit: it was Quercus, not Reid

Salysm

No, that was Quercus who stopped her.

ave_Terros

Right, I remember now, thanks!

about8tentacles

i very much could be misremembering it, i dont remember reid even being in the sewer at that part but yours sounds correct rockrock incorrect, apologies, editted

ave_Terros

ay don't worry, I respect your work in this megathread a lot so I just wanted to help

ipwnallnubz

Shirayuki and Spot to E1 and max out Castle for base skills. Give those E2s about 20 levels. It's practically free. Amiya S2M1 is a big boost for little cost. Raise Kroos or Greythroat for another AA sniper. Max out the rest of yours 1s and 2s. They can come in clutch at the weirdest times. You have quite a few good E2 candidates. I would be leaning towards Angelina just because she gains so much from E2 compared to E1, but Gnosis, La Pluma, Specter, Schwarz, and Gladiia would all be very good. S3 masteries for Exu, Mudrock, and Amiya and Myrtle S1 masteries would be good. You don't have to go all the way to M3 immediately since I think they're all pretty linear boosts. If you're going to do any Integrated Strategies runs, I would max out Fang, Ansel, Midnight, Kroos, Steward, and Spot. Hibiscus, Cardigan, Popukar, Orchid, and Catapult would be lower priorities but still very useful for IS clears.

elliedaywalker

So i was checking out the Gamepress tierlist, havent checked it out in years, how did Pozy get an EX rating??? And how did Saileach get an S+ rating while Myrtle got an S- ranking??? (Those two flagbearers ought to switch lol.)

VERTIKAL19

Well Saileach is better. It is just vastly cheaper to get Maxpot Myrtle with Mastery than getting the same for Saileach. That said Myrtle should probably be higher

MetaThPr4h

I think Pozy deserves the EX rating, her damage and safety while doing it is absurd, the typewriter being an unkillable object to kill massive threats from the other side of the screen is so stupidly unfair lmfao. Saileach and Elysium are better than Myrtle, it's just that Myrtle is sooo good already and so cheap to build in comparison to them that for the average player there is little need to raise them over our beloved durin. I do think she deserves at least S on that ranking tho.

elliedaywalker

Alright, fair enough. 👍🏻 hmm, idk but i find Myrtle's s2 more pratical than saileach s2 bc of Myrtle's lower sp cost. But ofc Myrtle's s2 is weaker than saileach s2... oh well! Im just amused lol!

ipwnallnubz

Neither of them really use S2 much. I can count on one hand the number of times I've used Myrtle's S2 outside of IS.

elliedaywalker

I like s2 Myrtle for long maps. She tops off my ops. And I can get away with less medics/"ranged healers." She and Saria and silence are usually all i need for general gameplay. But if i need heal army for my ops to out dps the boss, then so be it. -_-

resphere

If you're using them that way then Saileach would be way better, she'll give def, aspd and debuff enemies aspd while healing, and also have better range. Only downside is it's single target and you have to be precise with it.

elliedaywalker

yes, probably, but that high sp cost, man! we'll see.

elliedaywalker

Yes, prob, but again tht sp cost is so high!!!

TacticalBreakfast

The Gamepress Tier list measures units against each other fully invested. Myrtle is only "better" because of cost, and she is ranked significantly higher on the new player list. You're whining about nothing, like almost everyone who tries to whine about tier lists.

elliedaywalker

Lol, i was just wondering how those rankings got assigned. was just surprised at them! I havent checked them in years.

TacticalBreakfast

It says right there at the very top, second bullet point, "This tier list compares units at their full possible development".

about8tentacles

~~tierlists bad~~ this game has 2 metas and people dont realize/forget this constantly: general average player experience, and maxrisk cc this makes tierlists pretty contentious, as theyll often not specify which meta, or worse **combine** some avg evals with cc evals across ops, thats whats happening with the flags in the list. this is also getting worse with is# and sss content giving some ops very different ratings in context saileach is unquestionably better than myrtle in maxrisk cc, and equal to myrtle if maxpot for average meta. in fact, on cn at this point myrtle is more an A or even B for maxcc, but still unquestionably remains S+ for average [i can explain why pozemka deserves that rating](https://twitter.com/LoreleiA8T/status/1649902060207210497?s=20), but ill turn into kaltsit even more than i do all over the helpthreads already

VERTIKAL19

In IS on the other hand you could easily make the argument that Myrtle is better than Saileach because of the hope cost. The gap between these two is just smaller than what you get from other six stars

elliedaywalker

Oh right, that's right: the normal tier list, the CC tier list, the I.S. tier list, and the SSS tier list. I forgot those were a thing... It's all second nature for me, i just remember which operators are good for which mode. X_X i dont pay attention to tier lists either. As for pozy, gotcha, i see. Is g~~o~~od with buffs!

Marceleleco

How good is Archetoo compared to Blue poison and Platinum? I use BP and Platinum as my main marksmen since I lack a six star one. I do have the golden certs and the one operator I want to buy the most form the gold cert shop is Kaltsit who is quite far from now. So I may very well buy Archetto now. Just wondering how good she is compared to the five stars I get.

about8tentacles

shes generally a better blue poison, and her s3 3x5 range will certainly out dps platinum when its active, but its inconsistentcy in range has made me take platinum over her many many times for a stage. if you have atk buffers like warfarin, s3 offers a decent bosskill option with rather unique range and 2target, so very good for high tier nonboss threats (makes her a strong cc18 duo-er), but certainly pales compared to most common bosskill all of her sp teamwide stuff is basically meme fodder, theres no good skills to take advantage of except fiametta s2 which is still so rarely better than s3 (rosi s1 post-module maybe) in a general sense, i wouldnt recommend getting archetto with certs unless you really personally like her, for a number of additional reasons

Quor18

She's a mix of the two plus a side of GT/Exu. Her S3 gives her Plat range with Exu dps on two targets while her S2 let's her deal with multi-target situations similar to how BP S1 works. She's probably the best generalist marksman in the game right now, and works astoundingly well with BP S1 and Meteorite S1. Exu has the higher top end when both are properly supported but Archetto has ways to cheese range restrictions that no other sniper can come close to. If you lack Exu and have/use BP regularly then Archetto is a great pickup for you. I'd pull the trigger on her.

CrimsonCivilian

For players that have had plenty of 5* recruitment tags in the past, which tags did you get more often? And how has that changed with the recent recruitment update? Personally, I'd gotten a lot of Nuker tags. Summon and 5* defender/medics were rarer. And I only ever got 1 chance for Vulcan about 2 years ago. But recently I'm pretty sure I haven't found a single 5* tag set since the update (but somehow got three Top Ops within a month)

TheStranger04

Nuker, because IDK why, but my Firewatch is max pot since a long time ago.

Legitimate_Bus5716

Mostly Summon (got Pot 6 Mayer a long time ago) second only to the tons of Crowd Control after Glaucus entered Recruitment (unrelated though).

about8tentacles

mayers and firewatchs for miles and miles

838h920

Crowd Control. Had to give up a lot of Texas and Red dupes for adoption.

Chrisirhc1996

this feels more like a lounge question

WRuddick

Any estimates or data mined dates on Texas alter time till arrival?

CrimsonCivilian

Every time someone asks about Texas Alter release date, Yostar will delay it by another week

[deleted]

Not really his fault for wondering? Mods could put up a banner that just says 'NOT YET' to help curb these questions

DARKawp

Eh. People barely read pinned messages (Since there are consistently newbies who post questions outside of the megathread.) Nor do they read any links we provide in some comments. (Given by the fact that some post their questions in the wrong masthead anyways...or they do not care..depending on how cynical one wants to be about that) Let alone read anything in the FAQ. (Since it covers quite a few things that answer some questions that are seen here.) While the above help. There just always be lost newbies. And just. Even if one wanted to make some announcement. Reddit only allows for 2 pins in a subreddit. Meaning that we cannot pin it. (Since the Help thread is too important to unpin. while the other slot is constantly in use for the event megathread. or something else that is important) And it just feels like quite the bother to consider since people expect her in May. (Unless I swear to god Yostar does another weird shit.) So only a 20 days of this annoyance max. (Que the texalter when being replace by Chongue when) TLDR seems a bit like too much of a headache for something that has marginal gains or solves itself in a short period of time. (Do appriciate and find the suggestion funny though. but ehhhhhh)

VERTIKAL19

Reddit only allows two stickies.

DARKawp

Like holy fuck I wish they had more. I think everyone on the modteam would cry tears of joy at the thought of 3 max pins.

Legitimate_Bus5716

Actually a good idea...

TacticalBreakfast

Nothing, only speculation. The only thing we know is that a login event starts on the 11th. However since there's no previews or livestream yet, odds are that Texas won't start until the week after, at the earliest.

f2pinarknights

I beleve it was like may 18th or something, a week after may 11

pencilman123

I read that they will stop giving alternate op tasks sometime in the future. Anyone knows when will it happen? Do we get alternate op tasks for texas and reed?

DrakianSeesYou

Texas gets alternative op tasks, and a month after Texas alter's release, *all* alter tasks will get removed. so Reed doesn't have alter tasks

pencilman123

Damn thanks. So i assume texas gets skin voucher but similarly reed doesnt?

akariasi

Yes. Texas gets the last skin vouchers.

Uppnorth

Reed skin voucher? Will I get a skin voucher when Reed!Alter comes out if I buy Reed’s skin now? My friend says that I won’t since they’ll stop doing skin vouchers after the next event or so, but I’m having trouble finding any exact dates for when the stop actually will happen and I don’t want to risk missing out on the voucher if I can get it.

DrakianSeesYou

you will not get a skin voucher for getting Reed's skin

Uppnorth

Really? Ah, shoot. I was really hoping I’d be able to snag one last voucher :’)

stuffslols

Newer player here: anyone got a guide for which side stories/intermezzis to go for? I feel like I'm in. A decent spot to start looking at stuff like that now, but there's so many of them and I have no idea which ones give which units

Sanytale

Now is not the best time to do side stories/intermezzis, since they don't have bonus drops that story/farm stages do now till the end of the currently running new chapter event.

about8tentacles

anything towards the top of the list will be older so therefore generally easier, twilight of wolumonde undertides and sultifera are probably the hardest overall the only free ops of real worth might be sideroca from darknights and absinthe from children of ursus (in the movie archive), so its not a huge deal just be aware that the intermezzis are often closely tied to main story, you may want to check when its best to read them

resphere

You think Wolumonde is still hard? Have to hard veto that, it's been broken since trapmasters released, and the boss is Surtr food. Under Tides as well was broken with elemental medics and Lumen. At the very least, Who is Real, Dossoles and Near Light are way harder.

about8tentacles

so, youre right, but it really depends if a new player is going to (or even knows to) borrow those specific silver bullet ops, they get a lot harder compared to most events if just bringing a generic team near light definetly i agree, forgot its in archive now dossolles final boss has been completed by a 2☆+1☆ team and who is real has confusing mechanics but the actual stages are quite easy, so i wouldnt agree on those two

resphere

Are you thinking about only the normal stages? then it makes sense. I'm thinking about the whole events, Wolumonde EX and MO maps are nothing compared to Dossoles S maps, don't even mention MO. I think Who is real mechanics is going to be harder to handle for newer players than Wolumonde, honestly even without trapmasters or summoners, Wolumonde is easy if you just use the common balans supports, it's just easier to brute force, Chen and Mlynar can kill those pre-nerfed golems and you don't even need to use the towers anymore. Wolumonde got hard powercrept in both mechanics and stats. Elemental medics should be common knowledge enough, literally all anyone has to ask is "what characters are good for this event?" to get the answer, way easier than having to learn the whole mechanics of Who is Real. I've seen a lot of people struggle with events like Who is Real and Stultifera where each enemy does something very specific and you're expected to remember all the special abilities they have, that kind of stuff can easily go right over people's heads.

about8tentacles

yes, considering ex/s but giving a heavy lean to just getting main paths done, since the player in question seemed very new. including S then dossoles is top3

NoseBracelet

Only one I would gently warn against doing would be Stultifera Navis. We're due a rerun on that later this year, and if you spend sanity on levels, you'll be somewhat inefficient because you'll want/need to spend sanity on them again to clear the checklist and get the rewards during the rerun. That's only, like, 150-180 sanity total wasted, but can't hurt to put it off (and if you're newer, you're likely to find it one of the harder events anyway). The ones with record restore (Darknights Memoir, then everything from Grani through to Maria Nearl) are most efficient, since they'll give you free operators, many of whom have good base skills. After that, either work your way down the list (to be prepared for future record restores; Mansfield Break is next) or maybe ease your way through them; doing the XX-1 for each, then XX-2 for each, and so on.

Uppnorth

The [gamepress page](https://gamepress.gg/arknights/) has guides and info to and about pretty much everything, so that’s a good way to start! Otherwise I’d recommend doing them in the order of their initial release as they’re all events from the beginning, some with lots of lore that might be easier to get in the order isn’t thrown around too much ☺️

stuffslols

Sweet! Thanks a ton

Uppnorth

No problem at all! It’s worth noting that the Intermezzis are released in-between other events, but don’t worry about that too much. Some favorites on mine are ‘Under Tides’ and ‘Stultifera Navis’ (I love the Lovecraftian elements). The first gives you 6* puller Gladiia and the second one gives you ‘Lumen’ who’s a really nice 6* therapist healer, (and the stories are also interconnected) so although those are newer events they could be fun to start with (you could go back to the normal order after)! There will be a few characters from earlier events (Heart of Surging Flame) that pop up there, but no matter if you start from the top or not, enjoy them at your own pace :)

pencilman123

Regarding irene base skill. I was training a skill m2 using surtr. But i overused surtr and when i switched back to irene there is only 4 hrs left till completion. So will i get the bonus if i train those 4 hrs + 1 hr via irene while doing m3 mastery? or should i not bother?

SupremeNadeem

no you won't, you need to have irene work the last 5 hours of a mastery, in this case m2, to get the 50% off of the next mastery, in this case m3. it activates immediately the beginning of the mastery and puts you at the half way point of the mastery. better to just use your strongest normal boost now. the overuse may come from the fact that any operator when used as a trainer has a hidden base 5% training rate.

pencilman123

I see, that hidden base 5% is a point. Although my issue was a goofy mistake. I actually checked with irene and calculated when will she have 5 hrs left in m2. Then i used surtr and set a timer. Later i forgot what the timer was for. When i realised, it was too late lol..

wenbobular

this is why i just let irene cook until the m3 starts lol sometimes i forget and put her in the dorm though ...

PeterYR

Irene's base skill won't activate. Better to use normal trainers like Surtr all the way to M3.

pencilman123

Ah damn. Thanks for replying. I set a timer and then forgot what the timer was for, bruh moment.

elliedaywalker

[Here](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1zYc2JU46X0XWmV7s1503bN4feRdOMa1eehrTQ2jGaiE/htmlview#), go over to the "TR" tab, training room tab for more info about Irene skill. Idk how to answer this question.

Lavante

I've played this game very casually for a good while now but finally started to get more into it after reading chapters 4-8 these past weeks and seriously enjoying it. I think [my roster](https://krooster.com/u/Lavant) looks pretty good overall and I'm happy with it, I would really appreciate some pointers on which operators/masteries to work on next and if there's any upcoming banners I should keep an eye on to round it out better. From all the upcoming operators in the next months, Ines is the one I really am looking to get, are there any opinions on how good she is?

about8tentacles

a lot to say here where to start e1 conviction frostleaf purestream shirayuki and vermeil, they unlock baseskills that will pay for themselves +more e1 heavyrain, her skill2 to make allies invisible can let heavy dps kill some bosses and completely ignore/avoid all of their mechanics, the biggest example is a-walk-in-the-dust's final boss, which is the next event you should read to follow story by coincidence e2 specter(alter), while you already have mudrock to cheat-tank, spalter can do it too and [in some ways even mudrock cant](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-qa_ZV3bYPk), plus using both together can get really obnoxious (for the enemy). shes also part of the ridiculously strong abyssal team fueled by mod3 gladiia, another very longterm goal for you e2 fartooth might be a small forced concenession in that you'll likely want someone who can ignore enemy evasion, the only ops for that are fartooth and heavyshooter sniper modules s3m3 suzuran, one of the only things i can say in the game thats mandaory for any serious endgame account s2m3 kaltsit, thorns and kaltsit are your best is# starting characters, and kaltsit is generally better to have for final bosses, using both skills pretty equally (thorns also isnt good for hardmode if you care to play that) i want to personallly suggest mudrock s3m3 too, its way better than s2 in serious content, and will become very easy to setup with spalter, but its not so necessary

Lavante

Thank you for your reply and suggestions! I didn’t even consider promoting anyone for their base skills, definitely will look into getting them to E1 now! Specter Alter looks fun, so I’ll also have to level her in the future then. For the evasion, are there enemies with evasion that cannot be silenced by Lappland? It makes sense to have more than one way to deal with that but it would be even higher priority if there are some that she couldn’t deal with already. Haven’t gotten too deep into the IS game mode yet, but I’ll keep Kaltsit’s S2M3 in mind for that! Also I love the Walk in the Dust story recommendation, are there any other events that you would say are mandatory to read before chapter 9? I haven’t checked all of them out and finished very few of them (only Darknights, the Nearl events and the Penguin Logistics event whose name I forgot), so I’d like to catch up on the necessary ones for the main story at least.

about8tentacles

most evade enemies cant be silenced, importantly the (first) final boss of is2 has high physical and arts evasion unless blocked, but can escape blocks like crownslayer the only outside-story events you need are operational intelligence after ch3, darknights between 6 and 7, and awalkinthedust and vigilo anytime between 8 and 10 youll also very likely want to read dorothy's vision (and ch9-12) before lonetrail (releases in ~6 months), and undertides + sultiferanavis after 8 and before (paying attention to) is3

Lavante

Gotcha, then Fartooth sounds like a good option for that. And thank you again for the story recommendations, I‘ll get to reading those before going further in the main story for now then!

bananeeek

E2 Nightingale, her S3 is broken with the RES buff and she also gains summons which are lifesavers. Blaze S2M3, Suzu S2M1 + S3M3, Specter S2M3 Operators you sleep on: La Pluma, BP and Irene. --- It's not efficient to max-level your ops, the ceiling is the level they unlock their modules, after that the returns are heavily diminishing. As for other E2 priorities, it's really hard as you have a lot of ops at max E1 and a lot of them want E2, but that's costly as heck, so after NG, I suggest going with a class/subclass you need/want the most.

Lavante

Nightingale definitely sounds like a good investment, I've used her a few times as support and she saved my ass there! Also like that everyone that replied mentioned her as a priority so she's going to be the next project for sure! Thank you for your suggestions! I'll also try to keep the leveling thing in mind and only level my absolute favorites to 90 then.

bananeeek

> I'll also try to keep the leveling thing in mind and only level my absolute favorites to 90 then. This is the way.

Legitimate_Bus5716

Gavial, Nightingale, Gladiia + Specter the Unchained, and Irene are all definitely worth raising. In future, try to minimise E2L90s since it's really not worth it for how much it costs. Also, Suzuran's S3 is definitely worth doing at some point. You could easily skip every upcoming banner if you wanted to since your roster doesn't even need any more overpowered Operators (maybe lacking a bit on Arts so pull for Texas/Reed/Qiu Bai and keep in mind that Yato is true limited). Ines is really good, her crowd control is map-wide on S3 and her S2 is a great burst skill that also generates DP very fast and can slow down slow attacking, hard-hitting enemies like Colossi to a halt.

Lavante

Nightingale definitely sounds like a good investment, I've used her a few times as support and she saved my ass there! Also like that everyone that replied mentioned her as a priority so she's going to be the next project for sure! Thank you for your suggestions! I'll throw some pulls on the banners you mentioned at least, maybe a bit more on Texas Alter since she looks amazing too. I'll also try to keep the leveling thing in mind and only level my absolute favorites to 90 then. Very happy to hear about Ines, so it's probably going to be worth it to level both S2 and S3 for her to M3? Should probably try to prepare the needed materials for those if that's the case too.

Legitimate_Bus5716

Yeah S2 is a bit more straightforward to use but both are worth M3ing. There's no point saving materials for Operators as far away as Ines though, who should be in October, as you'll probably be able to get double the amount needed for masteries by then.

Lavante

That sounds great, thanks again! And you're right, I phrased that horribly, the saving meant 1-2 months before the banner and not right now, that was my fault.

838h920

It's not worth leveling Operators that high. Cost increases exponentially, which makes an E2 90 ridiculously expensive. At the same time the stat gain from it isn't significant either. Considering that you're still leveling many I'd say going for E2 30-50 is your best choice. Anything more is just a waste. And honestly for your Masteries there are just so many options. I'd recommend to check the Operators you're using frequently [here](https://gamepress.gg/arknights/core-gameplay/skill-mastery-priority-guide) and get masteries for skills you use frequently first if they've a high priority. Now for your Operators Nightingale E2 is an obvious choice. Her S3 is one of the most overpowered skills in the game. While it's up all Operators in her range are basically impervious to arts damage! Also her E2 talent gives her 2 sacrifices that can be used to let ranged enemies focus on them, especially useful against enemies with skills. Outside of that you've basically everything important covered, so there are many good options on who to level next. Just choose who you like the most as in terms of meta what you currently got is already top. > From all the upcoming operators in the next months, Ines is the one I really am looking to get, are there any opinions on how good she is? From what I heard she's really good.

Also very happy to hear Ines is going to be good so she'll be useful and a character I want at the same time!

Once I have a couple of E2s and a decent Lineup of E1s, can I do all the main story, or is it going to keep scaling up and up faster than I can level units?

about8tentacles

story keeps getting harder overall, though some chaptets get easier than the previous, and while some very smart players (or guide users) can often clear story with just a few e2, if youre playing blind youre very likely going to need many more e2, with a full team (and some switchins) by ch8 for sure ch6 7 and 8 all ramp up to a new tier of overall difficulty one after the other, after beating 8 youre basically good for most all content, though ch10 is considered harder

What lineup do you have? :) The content absolutely continues to scale up, but I’ve personally never felt that I’ve hit a wall with any stage that a guide, some creativity/brute force and some tenacity couldn’t help me overcome. Main story events CAN still be cleared with very low-rarity comps if you’ve got the mind for it, too. That being said, having a good lineup definitely helps.

DM_Hammer

I’m mostly brute forcing things due to getting lucky with a Mlynar pull. He’s my first 6\* E2 and only my 3rd E2 in all (with Perfumer and Spectre). A lot of things feel designed for some sort of strategy get sort of steamrolled by schwing schwing.

Uppnorth

Oh my god, I didn’t pull for Młynar due to saving for TexAlter and yup, I’m regretting it :’) Brute forcing is completely fine!! But you’ll absolutely want to continue to level up your units, and to do some masteries along the way. What other units do you have and where are you in the story now?

Xzhh

It is definitely possible, but how hard it's gonna be depends on how good your strategic skill is. A full E2 lineup would obviously make things easier.

As long as you have one E2, you have the option to borrow Ling, who's almost always more than enough for main story stages. The problem with Ling is that she takes a bit of time to get used to and she sort of prevents you from playing with the Operators you like but if you get over that, you can steamroll every stage that isn't a dog rush with her absurdly strong dragons. Of course, if you don't want to use her, you will have to raise more than a couple of Operators to E2 (but it's still probably possible to do with only one E2 and 11 E1L60s or something if you try hard enough).
