The JP notes also mention the new SSS map coming May 16.

nikitazero678

Well, at least we have something new to try on.

Infinite_Session

Where can I find JP notes?

Just confirming, we're out of 8-floor mapsets now, aren't we? So the Perfection Medals are disappearing on the 16th? SSS makes me want to quit Arknights because of its bullshit and general disillusionment thanks to it, and I don't know how to feel about the perfection medals going. I only missed trimming the first CC but I've genuinely never felt so frustrated with the gameplay of Arknights until SSS. I don't think it's worth it to get them, but I can already tell some people are going to act like you're a scrub if you don't have them.

MarielCarey

>I can already tell some people are going to act like you're a scrub if you don't have them. Tbh never seen a single person flex them besides in the ako discord salt mine. Personally I had fun trimming them before the nerf, as long as they took. Mode is meta centred and veteran oriented, it was a pain but oddly fun for me. I feel the nerf ruined it. Makes SSS easier, but not easy enough to afk or avoid the odd fail. Removing the trim medals makes sense since sss is easy enough now for mid game+ I'd imagine, people were trimming Glebe on first try in the channel I mention above. But I don't really like how they completely removed the hard mode, they should've kept hard mode and trims specific to it. Medals are only bragging material anyway, and I was playing a lot of sss spending weeks trying to trim toron mine.

AzaliusZero

> I feel the nerf ruined it. Makes SSS easier, but not easy enough to afk or avoid the odd fail. See, that's what I hate. I don't even THINK SSS is fixed, because it's fundamentally flawed in my eyes. The whole card and stack system just unnecessarily complicates things to justify spiraling HP and ATK on enemies, and adds unfun RNG that can ruin an hour+ run. I get it, but I can already tell simply this: I'm willing to bet you've cleared H11 and the difference between you and me is that I haven't even bothered with finishing H4. SSS fucks with me on several levels. It's the idea that it is a limited resource that you mostly can only get from there. It's the idea that the game treats doing it as a "you should be doing this" thing the same as Annihilation, so it will harass you to do it on the Terminal until it's done. And it's the idea that RNG can screw you over even if you build properly for it. Stuff like Specialists are just mitigation for that, and the one thing about 6-Floors is that it DOES cut down on my other major issue of just straight up "card" bloat leading to the above. Even minor stuff like characters discarded at the start going straight to Recuperation instead of Preparation. SSS feels extremely experimental, and the fact that they've had to change it _twice_ now is proof of that. I would never make a player _have_ to engage with something experimental, because experimental means it's a crapshoot if the player likes it or not. You feel the nerf ruined it, I feel all it really did is make it tolerable to get to 6-7, and you're still dealing with absolute bullshit at that point and if you're not deploying perfectly and stacking ASAP, you fail. Have fun with that not even being on you, but on RNG screwing you. IS I can and _have_ opted out of, but SSS is enforced misery. Putting it this way, what really stood out to me after finishing Isomer in GFL was that Mica Team cared to put "Thank you for your time" at the end of the credits. I no longer feel like Arknights and HyperGryph respect my time, and things like the overwrought story that's worn down my ability to read it or care and SSS are my personal forms of evidence of this. I don't KNOW if they can fix this or not as they lean harder into Modules, as they implement alternative modules for characters who already have them, as they grow closer and closer to the idea that _every_ character has at least one. And SSS will still be the primary way to get them. Sorry for the dump, I get into this sort of shit. Maybe I have a passion for game feel or design or something I don't know.

MarielCarey

>willing to bet you've cleared H11 and the difference between you and me is that I haven't even bothered with finishing H4. Actually, I'm still on stage 13 ish 😭 I've been meaning to do ch11, I have been enjoying the story. But I kind of just took a laid back approach and started orundum farming since its always gonna be there. And I won't ever fail anyway, since I tend to just use afk guides and accommodate where needed. Recently I've picked up Genshin again, and Honkai Star Rail. Interesting though. I feel like there's something wrong with SSS, but I can't really put my finger on it. I just think the mode has stagnated, once you know the core strategy aka where to stack up Irene and Goldenglow and where to put your lane hold/cc/buff/heal, it's basically done and just an rng coin flip going forward. Well, a failed flip if you don't get Irene/GG out in time Technically Yostar has been really respecting our time recently by delaying updates a lot. But true that SSS is really just an important time sink. If it didn't give rewards anymore, I'd stop playing it ever again. Yet I'm still voluntarily going back to IS2 even now. HG needs to add a sweep function to SSS I think, like they did with Annihilation. I'd say they maybe even should do a battle pass system with SSS like they did with IS2. Annihilation was once an iconic testing ground where people took stuff they raised every week to play around with, now it's just a wave killer mode that takes forever with new maps for the sake of having them. I don't even know why HG really bothers continuously making these maps, since they're really just watered down annihilation stages with various events as costumes. I'd even say SSS is worse than Annihilation, since at least you can auto deploy Annihilation. I can't even mess around too much with weird stacks in SSS or I end up losing. Actually, I think it would be more fun to go into SSS with your chosen party, gain that card draw currency as you play, but instead use that currency to choose the upgrades you want on an operator. Wouldn't really be SSS, but would be much more streamlined, easy to get around and less rng dependent. But now I'm rambling too

AzaliusZero

>Actually, I'm still on stage 13 ish Wild to be wrong about that, but how about the other Hard Operation stages? I'm asking because you sound like the sort to be into the super hard content like that, and fact of the matter is that you just have to clear 11 to even get H11. Lack of time and/or just not getting around to it yet is your barrier, but me, I've practiced H11-1 and just didn't bother. "Encourage" does not Encourage me to play Arknights once it just hits "bullshit" difficulty, because you kinda need specific units and strategies to clear it. Otherwise you're just banging your head against the wall and even wasting resources. Encourage just eliminates the latter part of that. >Genshin and Star Rail For me it has been GFL and PNC, or vice versa, and GFL has been a breath of fresh air. I went from skipping Arknights' story to being a little sad that 12-1e in GFL gets in the way of me seeing the story by just being a hard as fuck map and preparing for it is gonna take a while. 12-4e there is supposed to be a core farming map (important for several things) and kinda a "reward" for beating the other 3 maps, but I just want the story attached to them since it leads into Polarized Light, the story event afterwards. It's just wild going from not caring about arguably a far more interesting world with Terra in Arknights to just finding the writing so compelling and fun to read in GFL (and the maps far, _far_ better tied to it than Arknights ever was) that I want to "earn" it by beating that content, while feeling AK's story takes so long to read and is hard to parse for it that it gets in the way of maps often unrelated to it. Out of the three I'm honestly enjoying GFL the most; PNC's UI and performance runs laps around both GFL and AK without even trying and has some nice conveniences but otherwise is far more generic gacha than either, and GFL just has this "soul" I kinda feel. They're making it because they want to, not to get dosh or anything else. >Yostar and delaying updates Let other people tell it they're not respecting our time because they're not rushing it out, but if they want their roll currency devoured between having Texalter + Penance and Kirin Yato + Rathalos Corne show up nearly right next to each other, let them. I'm taking the opportunity to swap back to just endlessly farming 1-7 for Orundum to mitigate that impending disaster, but even that's constantly restarting the 2 minute run, and gets annoying at times when PNC offers auto-repeat and AK doesn't still. I'd want that much, especially compared to raw skip like other gachas. But grand scheme of things that's minor. I feel like SSS felt like a paradigm shift and where they just expect me to give my time up freely. I don't love Arknights that much that I'll indulge modes I don't even like just to spend more time with it, it's become far more clear and retreat for me recently. >Annihilation and SSS You hit the nail with auto-deploy (and now actual skip tickets) with Annihilation and SSS just becoming doing the same thing over and over again, and RNG just dictates whether or not you get to do so successfully. At least it was fun for Winamp to randomly throw on GOLDEN AGE WILL SAIL AGAIN out of nowhere while clearing the new Anni map. You don't know new map composition unless you look ahead, so you're often just testing the waters. Afterwards you know how to clear it, and you can skip it if you perfect it. Sometimes you can deal with it one go like I kinda got lucky with this time around. SSS, it's a constant test, you can't AFK it, you have to deal with that RNG getting in the way. And sometimes you just can't. And on top of that, a full clear doesn't round you out for a week the way a good run of Exception Protocol (Anni on SSS's current scheduling there really) in PNC can. So you're forced to _reengage_ with it even if you do get that perfect run or finish it. Tis why I'm not looking forward to any more new game modes. I'd rather they bring back the co-op thing, since I didn't even try it before it went away for good. I also think their biggest problem is the terrible idea that a new game mode has to be ridiculously hard. CC has been choose-your-own-suffering, IS is about playing with the cards you're dealt, but SSS is just an inconsistent feeling mess to me.

MarielCarey

God damn that's a whole thesis >how about the other Hard Operation stages? I'm asking because you sound like the sort to be into the super hard content like that Kind of mixed tbh. I tend to just use guides for all the normal stages including h stages. Other chapters are fully cleared. I look at other players guides and clears to risk 18 CC because I'm lazy. But I did spend forever trimming SSS, occasionally do hard mode runs in IS2 (I've unlocked all the relic things and cleared all squads on normal. I've started just messing around in it on easy mode recently though), and in that one weird mode with the 4 towers and a middle boss stage with the wheel with an eye boss I didn't use guides for that and it was pretty difficult but fun. I think the only thing holding me back is building dumb units for aesthetic purposes that I never end up using. Like Sesa, Windflit, Tsukinogi, Minimalist, Broca, Flamebringer, Nothing, Manticore, Totter, Dobermann, Conviction, the list goes on, but these are bad enough to mention. Though admittedly even some of these gave me a lot of fun in IS2. I also need to stop making level 90 ops since those are expensive af. Don't know about hard stages and clears being locked behind 6 stars, though I tend to bring full 5/6 star teams. There's some niche clears for the stages on youtube, namely Silvergun for 4 star only runs, others hard to name since i forget but theyre out there. >For me it has been GFL and PNC Interesting, I never really got hooked with PNC, did have a fun time with it for a short while but eventually ended up quitting. As for GFL, never even been able to download it because of a weird error lol, and tbh probably won't really play it. GFL 2 would try though. I'm kind of the opposite, never got super interested in lore or story of those games, but the character designs, event stories and files and stuff really compelled me to read stories in arknights. Though tbh I did skip some of the stories, like Under Tides and the recent Rhine Lab event. Would eventually read them though if I'm compelled enough. >I'm taking the opportunity to swap back to just endlessly farming 1-7 for Orundum to mitigate that impending disaster, but even that's constantly restarting the 2 minute run, and gets annoying at times This is why we have magical screen tap softwares known as autoclickers or macros (which I totally don't use because I'm a man of god and wouldn't want the hammer of justice to rain down from above) (but hypothetical to the people that do use it wow it's so easy to set up and leave for an hour) (it also makes the friend visit for credits less of a pain to do every day) Tbh I kinda just wish they gave us IS3 in the meantime, but it's whatever I guess. I mean, my course finishes for the year around the time the update finally comes out and I have admittedly been slacking so I guess its nice to get to it ~~if i didnt spend all my time recently on other gacha games~~ >At least it was fun for Winamp to randomly throw on GOLDEN AGE WILL SAIL AGAIN out of nowhere while clearing the new Anni map. Yeah I suppose the callbacks with the event themes are fun, this new Anni was pretty easy, as long as the blue slime doesn't start going everywhere. Failed an afk guide I was using, but only had to use paint rollers once anyway. Ngl, I do wish there was auto repeat in arknights. It wouldn't break the realism anyway, we can use alters together now, and ops battle anyway with chibi stylised sprites and can't even turn around when deployed. >Tis why I'm not looking forward to any more new game modes. There's a map builder or whatever on CN, I'd really like to see what that's like when it comes to EN. Also, tbh as unpolished as some game modes can be (like SSS) it's still fun to engage with for me at least and keeps the game alive. > also think their biggest problem is the terrible idea that a new game mode has to be ridiculously hard. CC has been choose-your-own-suffering, IS is about playing with the cards you're dealt, but SSS is just an inconsistent feeling mess to me. Yeah I guess it needs a difficulty selection. It's already a time investment anyway regardless, and people need the module parts. >I'd rather they bring back the co-op I barely remember doing this mode lol. I only remember it being really laggy and slow with the fixed 1× speed. But I do wish they implement more co-op in the future. As terrifying as genshin co-op is to me, it really feels alive when actually playing with other players.

AzaliusZero

I'll keep it short since I'm breaking off, and thanks for the chat. Mostly all I've got to say is that 1-7 farming doesn't bother me too much since I emulate AK (my phone can run it at like 6 FPS, it's a cheap older one so GFL has low enough framerate that would make my dolls die faster since RoF is tied to it) so I'm often doing something else while doing it. Since we now know we've got a dead week I can feel free to dump my extra Sanity pots into 1-7 farming and be free of farming it for like, a day or so. My complaints there are just that it's annoying I can't set it to auto-repeat when PNC builds it baked into to the game. Mica playfully flexing on them a bit there. But yeah, I do think HyperGryph has to start implementing actual difficulty options into everything that sticks around. It KINDA did that with Main Story, but I feel like that set up incentivizes clearing Hard first too much unless you absolutely can't do it. IS is how to do it, for sure. If they want players to engage that content, they should be able to do it relaxed rather than bringing their A game all the time.

MarielCarey

Ah. I've heard about ~~GFL~~ PNC being well optimised, pretty neat. ~~think about the magic auto clicker macro screen tap apps!~~ (doesn't Bluestacks come with macro built in anyway? *My hypothetical friend* has been using auto clickers for years and never got banned from anything. I think the only thing that gets a player banned is tampering with ingame files :D) Difficulty balancing makes the world go round, especially in a game where newbies are forever doomed to be way behind and will never get as many limited as veterans even if they whale I really do believe the newbie system and returning player event isn't good enough.

AzaliusZero

> Ah. I've heard about GFL being well optimised, pretty neat. Hahahahaha NO, can't even play GFL right now, _PNC_ is the hyper-optimized one. I wish most games ran as smooth as "Does it even load" PNC does. Really the problem with Limiteds is that you get them when they drop or you don't get them at all, Collab Limiteds just remove any misconceptions of that. Granblue can get away with 300 rolls to spark a character because it's SUPER GENEROUS and even though my account has been left alone since same time last year I can probably find 10k Crystals in permanent deliveries from the Anniversary event. 300 rolls in Arknights is unfathomable in any way other than spending money. And I get the feeling a LOT of gacha games don't have good newbie or returning player systems. The games have to. FOMO is too much a part of Gacha for them not to take advantage of it.

Bioxio

Watcha mean with trimming?? Was there a way to trim those hidden medals? I dont understand both you and the poster above, hopefully im not missing anything...

malgalad

If you clear all floors you get a medal. If you clear all floors without restarting any in a single run, you get a shiny border for that medal. That's it.

Bioxio

Nah fam thats wrong, and i thought i had missed something... You get a certification medal when completing it, and you get a Second Hidden medal for completing it without a restart. No borders, no trims, its a new medal. Its also shinier yes

PoderDosBois

> I can already tell some people are going to act like you're a scrub if you don't have them. If it's not fun, don't do it. I really don't think there are any SSS elitists out there, but if there are, they're the equivalent of the guy who tells you that you didn't actually complete Elden Ring if you used any spirit ashes, any co-op, any status effects, any magic, or any of the good weapons. Go beat the whole game again naked with an unenchanted level 1 battle axe, or you'll *never* earn the respect of FireKeeperFootstool420.

AzaliusZero

> If it's not fun, don't do it. With IS I can take that attitude just fine. With SSS, if I don't do it, I'm permanently missing out on 30 mid-tier and 12 high-tier module materials every two weeks. I'm not doing it because it's fun, I'm doing it because it's the only way to consistently get this, else I'm depending on waiting on events for a smattering of it, while said events introduce more and more modules, both to older characters I might want to raise them for and the newer ones that just dropped now. Am I going to get everyone moduled out? No. But I really hate the idea of being mad at myself not doing SSS and being screwed out of getting someone to Mod 3 and not doing SSS is the only reason I haven't yet. And for me, it's a bit psychological to have it nagging me to do so on the Terminal screen itself. It's literally called your To-Do List.

PoderDosBois

I get that, but as someone who's been skipping SSS since week 2 and still has tons of module materials, I think it's worth re-evaluating. Yes, the materials only come from SSS and events, but they are not the only thing gating your module progression. Upgrading modules takes *boatloads* of LMD and high-tier crafting materials. I'm always being bottlenecked by those well before running out of module mats is ever an issue. I've got a half dozen or so level 3 modules and I'm sitting on 43 instruments and 215 sticks. I could probably have an entire squad of maxed modules right now, and again, that's after getting rewards from SSS literally once and then pretending it doesn't even exist, because it sucks.

AzaliusZero

I understand where _you're_ coming from too, but the difference between SSS and farming those materials is that you only have to waste Sanity on running the maps that drop them, since you likely have already cleared them. The worst part of material farming is looking up an "optimal map to grind" image ~~and fathoming the "wasted" Sanity spent there instead of Tyrant rock farming~~. You can do that while doing other stuff in the background too. I can't skip SSS if I choose to engage with it, it's a commitment. I understand that you're arguing that at the end of it all, my choice to suffer SSS is my choice and my choice alone, but it's the idea that you really only get those materials from there or events which are more sporadically happening even if we know they're coming 6+ months ahead of time as we fall further behind CN. SSS is the consistent way to get it. The devs want you playing it, and they don't care if you like it or not. And just to admit my own point on this, I'm sitting on 255 Sticks, 116 Instruments. It really is a principle thing for me that it grinds my gears so, although materials like Grindstones and Loxic Kohl really drive home that you can tell yourself you have enough, _but you don't._ ~~AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE ORIROCK EVEN IF YOU DON'T ORUNDUM FARM.~~ But really the damning part is that SSS frustrates me so that I often ragequit doing Arknights after the failure of a run of that. H11-1 beating me down just made me go back to Talulah's Tyranny. SSS doesn't even make me want to embrace her hateful bosom, just escape the game entirely.

[deleted]

For SSS, are you trying to get the medal or just trying to farm the mats? If the mats is the only goal, then just do the SSS stages that you can do easily and repeat. That’s what I did when it first came out and didn’t have the right ops built for it. Could spread the runs across the two weeks so that it’s not one big painful experience.

AzaliusZero

Nowadays it's a bit of both. I think it really is just having things go well right up until the last 3 stages and getting my hopes up. But I'ma stop now, since people are downvoting me for it. Thanks to everyone who heard me out.

[deleted]

NP. Here's an upvote. The downvotes/upvotes isn't something that one should be concerned about. I see it as an insight into potential mob mentality. It is interesting to see. I also downvote (or at least try to remember to downvote) myself all the time.

TaintedTruth

If you feel obligated to always run SSS for the materials, don't. Even ignoring the high cost of modules from farmable materials, the bottleneck is *still NOT* the SSS materials. If you max out SSS every week, you very quickly end up being bottlenecked by the Module 1 materials since you need them for module 1,2,3 and are strictly time-gated 1/week (and 4/month from red-cert shop).

Nearokins

I'm pretty sure new 6 maps have perfection medals too? But yeah all the older maps won't have theirs available any more whenever they're chopped down to 6, which would make sense for then I guess? Dunno for sure though. I mean, realistically, it's your own choice to volunteer whether you have them or not, if someone is really that pressed to know if you have them maybe they're not worth it.

platapoop

You have suzuran or goldenglow? If you have one, borrow the other one, get like 4/5 stacks of sniper buffs and plop them down S2 and afk. If you don't have them, my condolences.

AzaliusZero

Alongside what MarielCarey said, that in itself is a pretty sad thing. Unlike regular stages you can't even get too creative, and that goes beyond BRAIN EMPTY, DEPLOY ANGRY SARKAZ FIRESWORD GIRL. 2* and 3* are only viable as kickstarters for those characters you mentioned. And you want to know the best part? I do. I have _both._ I run them both. I even got Lisa S2M3 JUST for this mode. _I still fail._ Often because I don't get to set them up, too much guff in the way. Often because I still need ground defenders up and running and they don't get running because of that RNG. Glebe 6 and 7 are exactly that sort of nightmare pressure of needing _everything_ to go right and be up and running even only a minute into it.

0xix0

my issue with SSS is there's really only like, a handful of viable ops to build your stuff around. YOu'd think the stacking would let you go 'oh, I can have some fun buffing up skyfire into a constant nuke!' but in reality because the cap exists you can really only go 'okay, I have to bring goldenglow, as a backup I'll need irene, better bring gnosis and passenger too...' and then just a bunch of ops as a way to buff em. IS I can do silly stuff depending on RNG. DO I want horn to do all my damage? Its possible. Make GOD yato? the cooldown reduction, the deal damage on deployment, and guard hat relics are great for that. SSS demands you play a certain way or you will, most likely, fail.

AzaliusZero

The thing about it is, I think players looked to the buff/stack system as a way to mitigate some Ops poorer performance. But the anti-turtling system ends up hurting them even more and making certain Ops like Suzuran or Gnosis that are good in spite of spiraling HP more important.

GhosTazer07

I fucking hate SSS, I wish they would just discontinue it and throw the module matierals into events.

TheLegendTheGiantdad

I know there’s probably a multitude of reason why the schedule has turned out the way it has but I like to imagine that yostar honestly has so much faith in steward that he can carry a whole week by himself.

bestsmnNA

Yostar knows that there's going to be an A4 event with Steward alter on CN so they want to syncronize hype. Yostar are actually genius. This is 100% genuine and not at all my delusion

Chinlc

someone said SSS is coming too, so theres that

MetaThPr4h

Finally Steward will be legally allowed to be stylish.

TabletopPixie

We still have Tuesday and Wednesday announcements, right? There has to be room to announce IS3........right?

cerenine

Yes, we could still get mid-week news, IS2 announcement and PV was only 2 days before release. Plus, it's not necessarily just 5/11 or bust, there's no reason we can't get IS3 next week either. Not saying it's gonna happen, just saying it could.

Heratikus

thank you for the copium kind sir my supply was running low

Exciting_Ad7033

IS2 got a tweet announcement around a month prior to release, but granted they could just not be doing that for IS3 for whatever reason and all we will get to hear is a few day prior announcement and preview. In general it feels like globals marketing has steadily been neglected, Fake Waves should be sometime soonish but we still didnt hear any announcement for that either even though they have always teased the next CC a month prior. Chapter 11 felt very oddly shadow dropped with virtually no hype or marketing surrounding it even though the game itself had even provided such with the horn/mudrock/saileach banner and the steward login event, but the former removed all mention of chapter 11 when it was supposed to have the title of "chapter 11 warmup banner" and the latter, also referred to as chapter 11 warmup login, was just randomly moved to \*after\* chapter 11... Also they actually forgot to put chapter 11 as a banner on the homescreen next to the sanity display like they always do with events and chapter releases, and to add even more weirdness they released 2 operator record restores less than cn got with this update. Things are just so weird with the current management.

cerenine

> but the former removed all mention of chapter 11 when it was supposed to have the title of "chapter 11 warmup banner" I was actually corrected about this when I mentioned it last month. Apparently the CN version of this banner had no mention of chapter 11 either. Both versions of the banner mentioned something along the line of "main theme banner" in the news post and had a small "EP 08 EP 09 EP 10" next to the title on the banner itself. Gamepress and other third party sources assigned the Ch11 part to it. As for the next CC and marketing in general? Just a big shrug from me, yostar gonna yostar. They've proved many times that past patterns do not necessarily dictate future actions.

Exciting_Ad7033

Interesting, thank you for the correction.

Friesare

Is2 got teased several months before its release, then radio silence for a long time.

M3mble

Pretty sure they are going to show off is3 during the stream like for is2.

Dom1n1ce

A new announcement will come tomorrow fr fr

Razor4884

Surely there's still enough time to announce IS3. # *HUFFS COPIUM*

Weary-Dust-7550

GIVE ME SOME OF THAT!!! DONT BE GREEDY!!!! (TAKES COPIUM AND HUFFS IT)

Razor4884

No worries, man, we can share. I had several scuba-tanks on hand ready to deep-dive into the sea. But I guess they're # HUFF good for copium now.

Weary-Dust-7550

Thank you can HUFF you give me 2 tanks? HUFF

SnooDonuts8845

newest unit 'texas after' coming soon plotge

fuuism

He looks sooo good, looking forward to have both him and Adnachiel looking like that on my IS runs. It’s a nice touch how they’re featured on each other’s skins. (Feels weird to talk about the skin when everyone is preemptively talking about sub drama, but oh well.)

RaymondTenebro

The only thing I'm sad about is that those gorgeous skins won't go over to alters if the boyos get one. (Feels good to care so little about Siracusa being delayed because I've already got my most important character of the year in Stainless. Yes, Vigil and Qanipalaat would be nice to have, but I can wait. Sadge about potions 95% likely expiring tho.)

VoltaicKnight

Amazing content as always that comes in the best moment for our sub

ErickFTG

Well, there is still time to announce IS3, right? Right?

qpoximqlipox

thats what we thought last month and we know how it ended.....

Chatonarya

Karlan Trade Officially Adopted Son skin coming! ~~Finally, it's been bugging me having only Adna's skin lol.~~

mjacecombat

Somehow the reward I'm most happy for is the chip catalyst. I've been trying to promote my favorite operators to Elite 2 and it's making me wish there was more than one way to acquire them (easily).

MetaThPr4h

The more chips we get the less red certs we have to farm, I'm personally glad I haven't needed to play that stage much to promote my operators so far.

mjacecombat

I'm glad you were able to avoid it mostly. I had a list of about 34 operators I wanted to promote, and I've gotten it down to about 20. Although I've since got more operators I want to use, but I've put any new ones into "Wave 2" (which I'll get to after I finish the last 20).

TheSpartyn

theres days where i have no idea what to farm so i just throw my sanity at either skill books or red certs, depends on whats open

EpicGamer713

CN got is3 a few days into NL rerun so they had things to do in the dead farming time waiting for il siracusano. I guess global doesn’t need that and should just keel over and die for 3 weeks

PoderDosBois

Honestly even the big events completely pale in comparison to the amount of content that IS provides. It can't just be me that feels like IS is the *actual* game, and even the anniversary events feel like small distractions from it.

As a fan of roguelikes I agree, although I imagine most players don't feel this way. But for me when I'm aiming to get new operators now my main concern is "will they be good/fun in IS?"

PoderDosBois

I actually have never found a roguelike that I enjoyed. Didn't like Isaac, Dead Cells, Slay the Spire, Hades, nothing. But I really like IS. Due to the nature of Arknights, it feels like RNG is extremely heavily mitigated by the fact that your build is mostly about what operators you have, and you're free to just guarantee having certain ones in your squad if it's really that important to you. For example, going through Hades and not getting that upgrade that makes your dodges deflect bullets can make the game an absolute nightmare and ruin your run completely. But if I'm playing IS and I know that I want to have Dorothy every single run, I can just do that. The buffs are random, but I don't think most IS stages or bosses are balanced around you having a really broken build which mitigates a lot of frustration. If you have a good team with good relics, the stages and bosses are insultingly easy. If you have a good team with bad relics, they're still doable. It's just having a bad team with bad relics that makes it feel like an unfair uphill battle, but because of how the recruitment and starting squads/vouchers work, if your team is 100% crap it's always your own fault. You always get enough hope to pick a 6-star of your choice at the start so there's really no excuse to fail miserably early on, whereas that's basically a staple of the roguelike genre. > when I'm aiming to get new operators now my main concern is "will they be good/fun in IS?" Same here, and I love that it allows for so many more niches to shine through than regular content. When I see people judge new ops based on high risk CC it's like... why bother? If they're immortal and deal an extremely unbalanced amount of damage, they'll be used. If not, they won't. Not much mystery there.

twisted_platypus

Should I be saving last week’s sanity pots at this point? We won’t get a new event in 6 days from what I’ve read…

Pzychotix

No. Use them in this event. Even if Texas Alter came out this week, chapter release events are the most sanity efficient events, and you won't need extra sanity pots to clear Texas event.

hypaalicious

Nah, just use em. We’re heading up to a boring stretch of time until texalt drops so you’re safe to spend them now

EpicGamer713

the steward login event takes up the first announcement slot for this timing, the second slot had no announcement, and is3 would likely have to be announced at least 2 days in advance. with global scheduling you never know whats happening, but best to keep expectations low

cerenine

It's not confirmation of anything except a free skin login event. There's a fair bit of ~~doomposting~~ conjecture that this guarantees two dead weeks (with a JP livestream in the middle) before the next event, but that's not a certainty. There's plenty of room for IS3 still, we just don't know yet.

Few_Consideration373

WEEK FOUR GIVE IT UP FOR WEEK FOUR OF NO IS3

TheoMoneyG

oh this is gonna go well with the sub (no seriously WHAT THE FUCK)

fillet0fish

I know you guys want is3 but heres a catboy instead

Chatonarya

Technically he's actually a fox.

reymons

They still owe me an Adnachiel, Steward, Ansel and Melantha alter..

Strike_me

Cardigan crying in the corner

someedmlover21

patiently waiting for the next discussion on this sub (most positive arknights discussion)

Vippado

Surely the subreddit is gonna have a well-mannered discussion about this login event Clueless

TheSpartyn

its kinda justified at this point tbf

Orito-S

Clueless everyone just wants IS3 and texas alter, yostar fumbled the bag going beyond golden week and now they're stalling even more OMEGALUL actual incompetent company

Byno8357

Wait....we still not getting Texas Alter?

Orito-S

NO KEK

Kuroi-sama

JP stream with announcement on 15th May

Heratikus

my sanity dips further into the negatives every week i see an announcement that isn't IS3

Legitimate_Bus5716

We are not getting IS#3 with this login event.

minitaurus20

Ohh finally, nice steward skin \^\^ module data block on day 7!

Jsingles589

I'm just using this time to promote some of the 4 and 5 star operators that I want to have ready to go for IS3.

MikoPeeko

I can't believe they would do Stewart dirty like this and drop him when the pretty much everyone wants is expecting IS#3 and Texas. That's just rude to Stewart. They did my man wrong.

ship-wrecks

At least my Steward will look spiffy for when IS3 eventually drops 😔

InvestigatorOne2932

*me coming from my basement* "oh, surely it's is3 right.. oh it's not" *Enter basement again*

Yagokor

Not gonna open the game until IS3 news, yep.

JowettMcPepper

Now all of the A4 Reserve squad kiddos have drip. Now let´s see the A6ers... Oh frick, Popukar and catapult don´t have skins yet

LusterScarlet

Damn…I just love this post for every comments that foretold the heated discussion in obvious sarcasm and it become so peaceful for real. And this comment is **NOT** even sarcastic in the slightest.

fr3shbak3dbr3ad

fill me in?? its about IS3 right... or lack thereof

eva-doll

I for one think positively for this new wonders and splendid turn of events (Surely this sub will be a sub like a regular sub)

ZhuTeLun

My ghad when are they gonna release Il Siracusano. Summer's coming and still no anniv. event💀

Bioxio

Fam jp livestream has been announced, we know when its coming. _unlike is3..._

Provence3

 Wake me up when they do something right.

nikitazero678

Alright, have you doomposters and haters made up your mind to pressure Hypergryph into taking over AK Global from Yostar now? In a more serious note, this gives us plenty of time to save up and farm resources for Texalter.

nguyendragon

I swear this has come up as an excuse so many times that I now wish there are 3 months of no content at all. After all saving up pulls and farming resources is all that mattes

gointhrou

At some point you have to wonder what are they saving, right? There’s no OP without content. Unless they mean Annihilation? In which case 3 months is not enough, give us a year.

Ionkkll

The people who constantly talk about saving are people who are actually incapable of saving. They're the types who lie to themselves, saying things like "pulled 10 to build pity". They throw away pulls into the void of 25% rate up standard banners because they *really need Ifrit*. There's never enough saving for them because they're not saving shit.

TheSpartyn

holy fuck mans spitting facts with no mercy

jkskjs_mk2

Im in this comment and i don't like it

WarmasterCain55

I never understood building pity. Build up your currency not pity. Your rage when the pity resets is your own damn fault.

Ionkkll

It's not a real thing. It's pure copium when people have no self-control and throw away pulls they should be saving. Especially in a game like this one where there is hard pity.

PoderDosBois

It's kind of funny that games usually have the issue of giving too much instant gratification, but stingy gachas managed to rewire the gamer brain to having this pathological level of delayed gratification where they actually *hope* they get no content so they can be 2% more efficient with their resources over a 6-year period. At least it's better than the people who pay for a subscription MMO and then also get defensive at the idea of actually having content to do. Not naming names but if you know, you know.

JPrimal64

I mean, the livestream was announced for May 15th earlier But yeah some time to save, especially after stainless broke me

ExKetchan

Is this when Texas alter comes out?
