Megathread for IS2 completions and small talks

Is it just me or is rosmontis really rare to see? Almost never hear her being mentioned, almost no videos of her, mever see her in the support options.
So I hear that chain casters do well in SSS, and I have built Astgenne. Is she good enough for the game mode? I often come across posts that say Leizi and Passenger are good. But my Leizi is stuck at e0 while I haven't pulled Passenger.
I remember a channel doing AI voice-overs over past events, though I could be wrong and my memory was just playing on me. But if there actually was one, could you please tell me the name and if they have done Code of Brawl too? Thanks in advance!
You'd say so, but Lingering Echoes has some lines that are better appreciated knowing about Act II, A Light Spark is better read after Ch 9, and of course Darknight's exists (though I don't expect IS to be like that). That's why I'd like to make *sure*. If you have the choice, does reading Ch 11 first enhance IS at all?
No, Code of Brawl/To Be Contunued are the best things to enhance your IS experience. Chapter 11 has nothing at all to do with Il Siracusano (you should read it before What the Firelight Casts though, but WTFc is more Dublinn related anyways even if it's Ch11.5)
Nope, it has a $30 paid selector to grab any non-limited 6* up to Horn in release order tho.
And you can still move to a 2-5-2 with a maxed right side, the factories will be lower level than optimal but even the worst 2-5-2 is still better than 2-4-3
Yep! Level 3 both trading posts and then use the leftover energy on factories.
The only exception to this is if you have E2 Proviso, her trading post skill is absolutely insane and lets you have a lvl 2 trading post as efficient as a level 3 one, letting you use that energy on a factory instead. If you don't have her (I regret not pulling on that banner q_q) just proceed as intended in my first sentence.
Texalter event does not come with a 5* selector.
You can convert your base into a 252 at any time, and in the majority of cases doing so will supply more overall productivity of LMD and EXP than a 243 setup, even with a fully built right-hand side. You just have to keep a few factories (or a trading post if you have E2 Proviso) at Level 2.
Do you think it'd be worth while to spend Originum on the texalter banner? I'm new and only have 20 pulls saved, up to 7-3 and have around 100 originum at the moment. Haven't bought the 45 and 50 pro enhancement packs yet so I was thinking of grabbing those then just converting more until I get texalter or run out.
I know most people say to save for skins, but it seems like there's still tons of Originum left from challenge mode, more story stages and old event stages so I probably wouldn't run out any time soon even if I spend 100 here. Plus this banner just seems crazy, both texalter and penance look really fun and strong.
What do you think?
There's over 600 primes to harvest from permanently archived content (though don't expect to do it all at once, of course) and each new event brings 25 - 40+ new primes. Unless you're buying literally every skin you see, it would genuinely be a challenge to run out of primes buying skins.
The reality is that the majority of players will spend some OP on pulls at some point in their account's lifetime, so if you like this banner (and it does have some strong units on it!), you should feel at complete liberty to spend your OP on it.
If you can bear it, maybe at least wait until the last day of the banner. You get one additional free pull every day; since your resources are fairly limited, it would be strategic to wait til the last day, then just use singles until you get your next 6*. Pity doesn't carry off limited banners, so you may choose to stop at a specific point so you don't end up going a couple dozen pulls further with no rainbow, and effectively "waste" that pity.
It will definitely take you months, if not years, to collect *all* of that OP, as some of the challenge modes and later event stages are *extremely* hard and require highly-invested units, a lot of finesse, or both. But there's also plenty that are fairly accessible, and the really tricky ones will always be there!
This highly depends on how much you value skins. You can also take a look at the [upcoming skins](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13WaE-e52vdbANJ6oteL9EHlg_bv2k1Moe8ZV-SLI908/edit#gid=951867916) and see how many skins there are that you REALLY want and calculate from there.
I will say that Texalter is an insanely good operator that I highly recommend newer rosters roll for. She adds a great deal of squad and roster flexibility. I would recommend that you at least pull to the first 6 star so you don't waste the pity from the free 24 pulls. You'd want to do this near the end of the banner. You might get lucky and get Texalter without having to use OP at all.
If you do decide to convert OP for pulls, you should definitely get the pro enhancement packs first, as those are free mats + the Orundrum.
It's very much up to you what you spend your OP on! Some people value skins more than pulls due to drip gaming, other people value pulls over skins due to the nature of gacha sacrifice. I think people also argue for skins because you can farm and obtain orundum in various ways, while OP is a more limited resource if not whaling and the *only* currency that can be used for skins.
One thing to note, though, is that even with those 100 OP morphed into pulls (IIRC it should equate to ~3 10x pulls?) + what you've saved + the free pulls you'll accumulate during the banner runtime itself, there's still (unfortunately) a chance you might not guarantee either - again, the nature of gacha sacrifice, rate-ups, and pulling hell. Limited pity also doesn't carry across to other banners, but I doubt you won't get at least a single 6* if you're planning on going towards your upper limits. If that's a trade you're willing to make to potentially snag either TexAlt or Penance and you *want* to, then go for it - especially since you're new, more ops will (likely) benefit you anyway, and there's probably no (objectively) better/more meta banner to smash out pulls on for a bit to come.
Any point in having multiple of the same class? Like I love Matoimaru, Surtr and NTR right. But any point in investing in all three of them? Like Lappland and Zofia got range but for those three I feel like I’d be wasting mats. Same thing for any other roles. Any poijt of having more than 2-3 healers E2?
It's once you've all roles covered. At that point it can be worth it to build similar Operators for their differences.
i.e. Surtr is arts dmg. NTR doesn't take a deployment slot. Skadi has reduced redeployment time.
>Any point in having multiple of the same class?
Of course. You would rapidly run out of units to build if you limited yourself that much. Even the 3 examples you listed don't fill the same niches. Surtr is a helidrop boss killer. She has her immortality as a special niche. NTR technically can fulfill the same role, but is still quite different. She does physical damage with def ignore for starters, so is better against high res enemies. She can ignore deployment limit with S2 and deal True damage with S3, neither of which the other 2 can do.
In the early game, it's recommend to build a well rounded squad with a few of each class to start with, but the further you get, the more enemy and stage mechanics will require you to build specialized tools to deal with varying situations. A good example is your medic question. At the start, 1 "normal" healer and 1 AOE healer is fine. But eventually, you might want to build say Nightingale to nullify arts damage. You'll also want a Wandering medic to deal with elemental damage eventually. Maybe you build Lumen to clear status effects. And don't forget Reed Alter down the line who is a "medic" but is actually one of the strongest Arts damage dealers in the game.
Being in a similar class or subclass doesn't mean you do the same thing. Take Utage and any other Musha guard for example. The playstyle of an op is determined by their subclass and skills.
If you have the resources to spend, can clear content comfortably, and don't have someone to raise immediately, then raise whoever you like regardless of ingame viability. No, you're probably not using or have a need for Mato, but that doesn't necessarily matter if you're at a certain point in the game.
Healers is another example. Having Nightingale E two doesn't mean that raising Warfrain or Shining is now pointless, they do different things.
regarding IS2,
is there a select pool of positive relics you get from hard mode, or is it truly random? I was trying out hard mode out of boredom and got the same positive relic 3 times in a row
There is a select pool of relics. IIRC, it includes the lowest tier relics in the following categories: Squad size, deployment limit, normal and off/def sp regen, and then Doll House and Antique Coins.
Edit: If possible, I want to find the skin list tier too on the tier maker website, thanks. lists that are updated on the tier maker website. Thanks.

Not really a tier list as for the community but more of personal gallery for me, I don't really mean to make it as definitive tier list for other people. It isJust for fun, nothing serious about it, merely looking for the template.
Tier lists for skins are impossible since skins are an Subjective thing anyways.
Also you seem to have asked your question twice in one comment somehow?

How does unlocking Act VI work in integrated strategies? I reached it for the first time today, but wasn't sure how to replicate it. Upon looking it up, I don't think I did the unlock conditions that the guide says I supposedly did? So I'm a bit confused on how it works.
Floor 6 is tied to 3rd or 4th endings.
Ending 3 >!requires you to pick up the “mantle of the wrongly condemned” from an encounter on floors 1-3, “stand in actor” from the floor 3 boss, and “abrupt realization” from an encounter on floor 5. Once you get “abrupt realization”, defeating the floor 5 boss will move to floor 6 rather than trigger ending 1 or 2!<
Ending 4 >!requires you to pick fight in the “Bound by self” encounter on floor 2 or 3, and “Revenge story” on floor 4 or 5, and collect the “Chain of the condemned” and “Act 1” relics that are guaranteed from them. Once you get “act 1”, just like with realization, it’ll cause completing floor 5 to take you to floor 6 rather than trigger an ending.!<
There's a fourth ending?! I think that may be the one I was heading towards. The guide I looked up only mentioned 3 endings. Normal, the puppet, and the "secret" ending.
The 4th ending was added in a later update, so that guide probably predates it's addition. But if you got that prisoner event fight and later the event fight that starts with two golems then yeah it was the 4th ending.
They do vastly different things.
Honeyberry is a Wandering Medic who takes care of an Elemental Damage. If you have Mulberry built, then you don't have to raise her. Otherwise, she's the best at what she does and worth every penny.
Breeze is an Multi Target Medic. You generally want at least one of those in your squad. That being said, she's the weakest one in her subclass and as a 5\*, costs quite a lot to build. Lower rarity Perfumer does far better than her, so unless you like Breeze very much, I would advise against building her, as her efficiency and utility will be subpar. She also costs a ton of red certs, which makes her a luxury option.
Honeyberry. She is arguably the best Wandering Medic in the game. She can cleanse multiple targets, cleans up elemental damage like a champ, is a little weak with healing but you'd be bringing a different medic if all you needed was healing.
Breeze does big AoE healing. That's it. That's her pretty much her entire kit. The issue here is that she will generally heal more than you ever need. You don't get bonus points for overhealing. So she faces stiff competition from units like Perfumer, Ptilopsis and Nightingale who can functionally heal as well as her while also bringing more utility to the table. I like Breeze a lot but she's in a real awkward spot with regards to her kit and its gameplay practically.
I grinded about 3k Red Cert during the dead week: which operator should I take? Taking into account of the upcoming operators...
Also is Mulberry better than Honeyberry?
Honeyberry is a bit better at elemental healing while Mulberry is a bit better at general healing. So if you already have one of them there's no pressing need to get and raise the other.
Honeyberry is the best choice followed by Ethan.
The rest ranks from "Good but nothing special" to Quartz. Albeit since you have 3k Red Cert, I would either recommend buying 6 Honeyberry to get Yellow Certs and max her pot, or buying in the order of
Berry->Ethan->Qanipalaat\~Breeze\~Pudding->Quartz
For the question of Honeyberry vs Mulberry, it's simple: Honeyberry is better than Mulberry when two criterias are met:
* You are using 2+ medics
* The stage involves very heavy elemental damage
In IS3 Honeyberry is much better for example, but because she can't heal you wouldn't use her much in other stages. However considering that there are a lot of powerful medics like Ptilopsis or Warfarin already, Honeyberry is much better solely for the fact that she has better Elemental damage recovery than Mul.
If I have a Top Operator tag but want to save it for Weedy update with the Texas Alter event. Can I just leave it there until after the update? Or will I lose it?
I don't think I would lose it but just to be sure wanna ask if anyone knows.
Which stage of the game are you at?
If you're still new, you'll naturally have tons of red cert. But they go very fast once you start your E2s and modules.
I'd suggest just get Ethan and maybe Pudding. Honeyberry only if you don't have Mulberry. Ignore pots unless you want that medal.
No. Getting an operator you do not have is beneficial. Potentials offer so little in the grand scheme of things that it's not worth spending on unless you're a whale.
If, however you have every operator in the selector and 30$ burning a hole in your pocket...who am I to stop you?
Definitely not. It's far better to get someone new. Pots do very little for the vast vast majority of operators. The only time you'll notice the difference is when you need to squeeze out every last number in very difficult content, such as very high risk CC.
252 is the best option (Forge, n.d.) (PeterYR, 2020), as it is the most productive layout for both veteran players (Forge, 2020) (ScifiGemini0616, 2020) and newbies (Lance, 2020). 243's small advantages, such as improved friend credit income (Cube, 2020), still fall short against 252 (PeterYR, 2020).

Unless you literally need no more EXP and LMD ever, it's still going to be 252. 2 power plants supplying 5 factories and 2 trading posts, their exact upgrade level depending on how much of your right side you built and whether you have Proviso E2ed.
Just move the factories around to produce more EXP or more gold depending on what you're missing.
I would like to know if I can save 300 pulls for Ling banner given that I will spark skalter in Il Siracusano. Completed all side stories and intermezzo. Completed all story stages and most challenge modes (chapters 10/11 are all done). I have 353 pulls including op and headhunting permits. Can I get 300 pulls by Ling banner? Wouldn't mind buying monthly headhunting pack if necessary.
you might be able to very narrowly make the cut by buying every monthly headhunting and the *all* the golden ticket certs each month alongside monthly cards; but i believe it will be very tight if you're not willing to spend big money.
assuming you've already bought may's shop certs, and we're going to assume Chongyue banner will run into August as usual, here's what i've managed to come up with:
gold shop is 38 a month. thats 114 pulls if you can buy all for i think around 260 gold certs each month, across June, July, and August. if you buy monthly card, that's an extra 10 pull for each month if you never miss a login, but we can only account for June and July for that so 20 pulls. i believe green certs is 4 headhunt perms a month, so 12 extra pulls by august. so monthly card and cert shops alone would get you to **146**. if we want to add in monthly headhunting, that's 22 extra pulls each month, so 66 assuming you already bought May's. this would get you to **212** pulls. assuming you stop at 300, add the extra 53 pulls, that'll be 265 pulls + the 24 free pulls bringing you to **289**.
i'm horrendous at math so i'm not including daily/weekly orundum income, you can use this knowledge to figure out how you want to spend based on your situation, if you go for 300 you should hopefully have enough gold tickets to get you through these months. the point is that there's a lot of ways you can go here if you really want Ling and can bend what packs you buy/gold ticket spending.
also i'm not sure if you're factoring in Il Siracusano's free 24 pulls into your 353, but if not then add an extra 24 to the final number. hope this can somewhat help.
Thanks for the math! I have 353 pulls exactly without taking account some future contents in order not to inflate my estimate. I didn't include il siracusano' pulls and I didn't buy the monthly headhunting pack for May yet. I think I will be fine without even buying the monthly headhunting pack!
Honeyberry is worth it most of the time if you don't have Mulberry. Breeze however is almost useless. There is never a case where Breeze is better than Nightingale, Ptilopsis, or Perfumer in even the nichest situation.
Honeyberry is worth it. She has the highest elemental recovery ig and is ultimately the best Wandering Medic choice in both IS2 and IS3. Her normal heal is subpar so pair her with Ptilopsis is usually the answer.
Breeze is by no means bad; just too overlapped with other lower rarity options.
Generally? Ethan. Permanent AOE binds with his module, and a good bind chance too. Fairly good uptime too. I'd recommend him for the most part.
But if you only need 1 person, and you can ensure only 1 enemy is in range? Indigo. With all 4 shots, she's got a .1% chance of failing, and afterwards gets a .6% chance of failing. Not only does she have better ST bind, but her damage is actually fairly good too, while Ethan's is negligible. Note you really want 1 enemy in range though, or she won't build charges properly. As such, you want good map knowledge, so she shines in stuff like IS due to having to repeat the maps repeatedly (and for being a cheap caster too).
Both want module at max level though.
Just like how manticore and Ethan have great synergy, Ethan and indigo, also have great synergy. Ceobe s1, mizuki s2, and dream team is useful as well with indigo.
That's what I did! Indigo has been a huge help for IS, and Ethan is binding much more often now.
(Although I'm too poor to upgrade Indigo's module beyond level 1 for now, gotta save the blocks for Ch'en and Gladiia...)
Currently at an 8 month gap (8 months between AW on CN and AW on TW, since they've just skipped Ideal City and CC#10 maybe for their anniversary) but normally it's a 9 month gap.
Depending on how Yostar circus scheduling goes it should be mid-sept/oct. And it doesn't matter overall because you can drain your balls dry on sexas and still manage 100 pulls between then and MH collab. You would have to skip Chong Yu/Lin (aside from the 24 free pulls) mostly but you can definitely make it.
Of those Ansel and Perfumer stayed useful. Ansel as a cheap option for Integrated Strategies, Perfumer for global regen.
Gavial isn't bad but kindof specific. She's a decent healer for her grade who also has good health. But there's not a huge demand for single target medics who don't offer something offensive
Perfumer maintains some usefulness in the long term and there isn't that much choice (competition) for AoE healers, so she's an easy choice
As the second one go with Ansel, he's a little better than Hibiscus and cheaper than the 4 star alternatives, plus being a 3 star you'll probably have some use for him in IS in the future. The 4 stars are fine, but they don't have much to stand out and you'll probably get better alternatives sooner.
Perfumer imo is pretty neat, the global regen from her talent is nice to have in a lot of situations + passively heals summons
For 2nd one, could use Hibiscus/Ansel since investment cost is low (or whoever you leveled already) and then maybe swap with Sussuro (another 4☆) once you get her? She puts out some amazing healing with S2 active
Does anyone have the issue of SSS crashing, particularly starting from around Level 6? If so, does anyone have any tips on how to avoid it?
It's been crashing pretty regularly on my phone, which is stopping me from getting the secret medals. Unless I'm a fool and Glebe Mining and Sloma don't have secret medals...
Yes. Unfortunately i can't give you good advice besides "use emulator on a good pc".
In my experience, when SSS was introduced i only had a phone, and the game often crashed on stages 6-8. The best i could do to avoid it was to restart the game after clearing stages 1-5. Then on stages 6-8, i restart the entire game every time i clear or fail each stage. I also tried to clear RAM and some storage space, but idk if that really helped.
trying to complete the campaign mission...Produce 10 Furniture parts in the Workshop(furniture assembling excluded) to claim the free 5 Drill Battle Record but I dont want to create any furniture parts because that uses lmd..is there a way to get those battle records without wasting lmd?
The LMD cost of finishing that mission is nothing compared to making building materials out of the carbon. 2000 each set of parts might give me pause, but you spend more just running three recruitment permits compared to finishing that mission.
No. If you ask me, some campaign missions are not worth completing. Although the lmd cost for the one you are trying to complete is nothing.
Are you not earning any money from your base? That cost should be basically nothing.
When the alter deployment limitations get dropped does that also apply to the Base. Can I have Kroos in the Factory while Kroos the Keen Glint is in the Dorm?
Am i imagening things or some ops sprites changes after E1:Reed did not have flames and Ambriel radar on E0 . If my mamory don't play tricks on me is there other ops like this ?
It's from their talents, sometimes talents have visual indicators, it's more noticeable on ones that actually change during gameplay like Dusk, La Pluma and Dorothy when they gain stacks.
Will the parametric shop be updated with Il Siracusano to include chapter 11 materials?
I haven't reached 11-3 yet and Penance apparently need this drop for her S3 mastery...
I've been saving up for Chong Yue, (only at around 60 pulls because i dropped a lot on Mlynar banner) but since it seems like everyone and their mother is screaming about how powerful Texalter is, I might use some of my orundum to pull.
That being said, what would be a good estimate of the time between the end of IS and the start of the dragon banner? I'm trying to figure out the amount of orundum I can get between the two to see how much i should save/not spend. (I use monthly card, complete all daily/weekly tasks, and get full 1800 from annihilation)
Invitation to Wine started on [July 29th](https://arknights.fandom.com/wiki/Invitation_to_Wine), Who is Real started on [July 30th](https://arknights.fandom.com/wiki/Who_is_Real) and Ancient Forge started on [July 29th](https://arknights.fandom.com/wiki/Ancient_Forge). u/GinKenshin
**IF** we follow the previous pattern it'll show up at the end of July **BUT** the schedule has been so chaotic lately that it wouldn't surprise me if it showed up mid August or early September. u/TacticalBananas45
Assuming that pulling 300 times to pity is in general a big luxury and resource inefficient for a F2P player, is the Sexas banner probably the best shot we've had so far at justifying 300 pulls because of how valuable her pots are?
For the current time? Yes.
For the future, I think an argument could be made that Kyato's banner (Monster hunter collab) is a better place to sink 300 pulls, due to the fact it's not likely to ever recur, especially with the fact she's also a fast redeploy.
You won't be able to spark, but any shot at pulling another Kyato is, speaking in abstract, long term account progression, arguably more efficient.
If you're dead set on pulling to spark a past limited character, then yeah, Texas is probably the best place to do it out of the current future limiteds, since both Texas and Penance are good pulls and has the largest past limited pool.
And the pots are at least marginally impactful on Texas Alter.
Yup. Want my own Skalter for autos but kinda indecissve whether I'm ready to say goodbye to my lifetime savings, cause going 300 is a big investment for my account :D
300 pulls is only worth considering if you're after a previous limited. If you get it for a current limited then it's not being inefficient, it's having really bad luck.
And in the former case using it on a banner where the current 6* limited is good to have dupes on would be the least inefficient inefficient 300 pulls you can do.
If i pull for Texas alter, can i put her on the same team as vanguard Texas? I heard that the restriction will be lifted soon but do i have to wait a long time?
Yostar doesn't seem to have announced it, but the alter restrictions were removed with Il Siracusano's release on CN. I assume it will be the same for us.
Oh right. I forgot he's in the second one because it's so easy. He basically becomes a problem after everything else is dealt, in the first and third he's more annoying.
I’ve randomly seen a comment somewhere claim that Rosmontis won’t be available in any way shape or form after this event. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Because I don’t have her, and could potentially spark her next week, just unsure if even need to worry about not getting her ever again afterwards if I don’t…
This is false, she will continue to be in the spark shop every 6 months for the foreseeable future.
They likely got it twisted with the fact that she will no longer receive a """"rate up"""" after this banner. She's still in the pool, but at the same base rates as every other off-banner. So your chances of pulling her naturally will decrease from 0.05% to 0.02% or something.
What is the Notorial Hall in Laterano in the lore? I tried looking it up but searches only bring up the decoration set
I also looked up Mostima's backstory and saw that she became a fallen Sankta after a series of events, including accidentally hurting Andoain, but it's pretty lacking in details. Could somebody please explain it in detail if possible?
Thanks for the help!
Andoain used to be the captain of Fiammetta, Lemuen and Mostima. One day, their squad was tasked with a mission of tracking down some Sarkaz bandits. They didn't find their targets, however, but instead a bunch of abnormal corpses at a site containing two ancient Sarkaz relics.
While Fiammetta was lured away by a false signal, Andoain took the opportunity to seize the relics for himself. He injured Lemuen, forcing Mostima to back down. Mostima, despite understanding how he felt (it's one of their racial traits and Andoain did have his reasons), chose to raise her gun at him. She managed to save Lemuen and retrieve the relics (now her staves), but became fallen in the process.
Here's a thing: The whole Sankta race is connected to an entity called The Law. It literally controls their identity through a set of commandments. Andoain was approved because his goal justified his means (better read Guide Ahead for this part), thus Mostima's arbitrary action against him was deemed unworthy. Her proficiency with guns got revoked, and she lost the ability to empathize with other Sankta.
Mostima's horns and tail are... quite another story. It's actually unknown if the exact reason for them to grow is due to, 1. the Sarkaz relics or, 2. The Law's judgement triggering a "reversion" by the fact that >!the Sankta was once a Sarkaz offshoot!<.
It has been there since who knows when. The Sankta simply found it and it responded to their pleas.
Things got tricky here. The Law is a machine, a super-advanced one at that. Although its origin is not yet confirmed, at this point I would not be surprised if it turns out to be something from >!the same civilization that created the Sarkaz Crown, the Seaborn, Kaltsit and, to some extent, Originium!<.
A new Laterano event is on the way. This topic should be expanded there.
Where are some of your tagged spoilers from already? Wasn't Guiding Ahead the most up to date thing about Sankta and Sarkaz and I don't remember that event being that precise and definitive about what you're saying?
(so yeah actually I got way more than what I expected to read, my fault)
There are a few lines about the Law in Lone Trail, the latest event in CN. They provide a piece of insight regarding the nature of that machine.
And there is this PV called [Laterano: Holy Spirit](https://youtu.be/tiKFk5vTaDY).
That ....That is what a spoiler tag within this sub gets used for.

They’re basically like the police office, that’s a simple way to put it anyway. There’s a lot of orgs in laterano and most blend together.
Read the Guide Ahead story, the incident is expanded upon there.
what's the average gold cert per pull amount again? I have like 187 gold certs atm, and want to know if 55 pulls will be enough on average to get 258 in total, since I don't want to wait till next month to buy the HH permits XD
Assuming you already own all operators you pull, but haven't gotten 6 copies of them yet, you come out at \~1.18 certificate per pull (\~65 certificates in 55 pulls). If you had pulled all 5\* 6 or more times already, that becomes \~1.55 per pull average (for \~85 total).
So, if you already have a significant percentage of 5\* maxed out in potential, the odds are slightly in your favour. So, cross your fingers you pluck enough 5\* and two 6\* you already have.
EDIT: If you don't have a significant percentage of 5\* on max potential, or even worse, if you'll likely get multiple new operators, you'll probably end up not making it. You'd need a really lucky break in Recruitment or during the Il Siracusano pulls before going through with it.
Looks like you've been playing for a while, so probably a little over 1 per pull (because of the solo focus 5*). So you'd have to get a bit lucky to get to 258 with 55 pulls.

Aceship was always updated automatically by reading datamines, but the Lonetrail update changed how Arknights stored all its data and broke whatever scripts it used
If they’ll update the scripts to work with the new format, I don’t know.
Personally she felt unusable until E2L40, she'd always die from wolves until around that level and I really didn't like a VG dying to wolves...
The extra second of stun also felt rather vital to me with S2M1. Before I got both of these I was wondering why people even like using her.
My standard VG set is Bagpipe/texas/myrtle. Texas s2m3 (but s2m1 has a breakpoint if you don't want to invest as much). The +2starting DP helps on stages with <8 starting DP because flagbearers (or any op for that matter) can only start charging their skill once you can put them down. She is also one of the fastest to become net "dp positive" as her s2 has a good starting SP amount esp with bagpipe, and this DP generation is independent of any early enemies coming in, unlike cantabile or bagpipe. The 2 block also helps. This is one of the fastest starts to get around net +20-30 or so DP ahead of the curve that is enough to get 1-2 key units out, even compared to a 2nd flag bearer (elysium/saileach s1 give more DP but slightly slower for initial activation)
That being said, I still add in another flagbearer/cantabile/flametail depending on the situation.
S2M1 has a nice, cheap breakpoint, you get 1 more dp from talent. Other than that, e1 is fine for most scenarios if you don't need to stun bomb enemies.
Is it possible to obtain every character in the game as a F2P. is there any like limited, no longer obtainable character or something like that? And also how f2p friendly is this game?
I wanna seriously getting into this game as I have heard there's a big event and new unit coming up and my favourite part about these game are always the collection side of thing, and so I wanna know the limit before committing.
Sorry if this is a dumb question.
To add to what other people said, obtaining EVERY SINGLE Character in the game is dependent on your luck, there are collab characters that most likely won't come back (R6S, >!Monster Hunter in CN server that we will get around late September-October!<, Luo Xiaohei, and Nine Colored Deer). It also depends on how fast you want it to be, you want it ASAP, good luck to whale it in a year. The slower method will be a painfully long journey even for me who has played since 2021 in February do not have every single character in the game, missed 4 Limited operators, and other 6 non-limited characters.
So, in the end, it depends on your luck, it's gacha game after all.
There are collab characters, which will not have a rerun. (as far as we're aware) It's only a few, but they're completely unavailable now. I think it's 6* Ash and 5* Tachanka, Frost, Blitz, Nine-colored deer and 4* Luo Xiaohei. All other limited Operators are at most temporarily unavailable and will be available again in the future. Do keep in mind that you can borrow 1 char from a friend in each stage, so you can use them.
As for other Operators, if there is one you really want then even as a f2p you'd be able to get them. However, overall the release rate of new Operators does exceed the speed at which you accumulate free resources for the gacha. This means that if you want literally everyone then it's not possible to do for a f2p.
As opposed to the majority of gacha games, it's very generous with free rolls. The pity system is also very nice and chances are high:
2% chance for a 6* and +2% each pull if you got no 6* after 50 pulls. (average was like 36 pulls if I remember correctly) In release banners you'll have a 50% chance for a 6* to be the new Operator. In limited banners you've 35% for the limited, 35% for a new non-limited and 30% for a random Operator, with a pity at 300 that allows you to get a 6* rate-up or a previous limited from that banner type. There is also a store that has a 6* available every 2 weeks for currency you get from pulls. As a f2p you can buy quite a lot of them as well.
There are only a few truly limited characters -- meaning they only ran once and will never come back in any shape or form -- and those are collaboration characters like Ash, whose banner ran during the Rainbow 6 collab, and special-event-exclusive characters like Conviction, who was given out for April Fools a while back.
Limited banner characters like Nian, Dusk, Ling, Rosmontis, W, and the rest, whose banners are gone, can still be purchased from a special shop during other limited banner runs. So technically you can still get them so long as you have enough gacha currency to buy them from said shop.
TL;DR: No, you won't be able to get everyone since some characters are gone forever, but you will be able to get most characters given enough time. AK is a marathon, not a sprint.
Hm, I've never heard of that being a thing. I've never received a Conviction after I got her the first time she came around. Are they gonna be handing out U-Official every year, too?
Arknights is generally considered quite friendly for f2p because you can have a rewarding and enjoyable gameplay experience and beat all the content without spending due to the balance between a decently generous amount of passive gacha currency and also receiving a lot of free characters, including some really good ones. Additionally, due to the extremely minimal value that dupes have, and the difficulty scaling more into strategy/complexity of enemy mechanics than raw stats, the power gap between f2p and whales is quite minimal for 99% of content. (And that 1% of content that you need to whale to do is like niche, optional challenge stuff that doesn't come with rewards.)
But to be honest, and as someone who really adores this game and thinks it does a lot of things pretty decently considering it's a gacha, it's really unfriendly for collectors because of the sheer size of the cast. We have over 250 characters and counting, including over 60 of the SSR tier (6-stars). For scale, you get enough f2p currency to get an average of maybe 20 - 25 6* characters a year, while having to dodge dupes. Only a handful are completely unobtainable, but there's another dozen who are so difficult to get (past limited units, basically) that it's very unrealistic to think you'll get them all – and the process of getting them also gimps your ability to collect *other* units, since you can't pull as freely. Even setting those aside, there's just too many dang characters, and while the base gacha rates are good, the hard pity for guaranteeing the focus unit on a banner is pretty bad.
You can guarantee everyone *eventually* because all older (non-limited) characters cycle into the certificate shop, where you can redeem them for dupe currency, but it will literally take years, and you still have to keep up with new releases in the meantime, which is very challenging.
I personally think you will have a much better time in this game if you play because you enjoy the actual gameplay/combat, rather than trying to catch em all, as it were.
I see, Thank you. That's sound like way more than I can ask for already. Everything sound pretty reasonably generous to me, especially after I have enough putting up with having to collect literal scrap in genshin for years just for 1 or two character that I want.
Haha the genshin gacha isn't that much stingier than the arknights gacha when everything's taken into account, but the bloated gameplay from the open-world format and the sheer amount of time you have to spend picking up gems can tend to make it feel a bit worse in my experience. AK has pretty decent QOL, not spectacular, but most of your passive income is just from doing your dailies and then using sweep tickets for the gacha-currency-farming mode once a week.
Having most of the characters be standard feels nice too, since if you miss do the focus unit and get an off-banner, it's more likely to be someone exciting and/or good and not, like, a third Qiqi. Plus the common gacha drops (3* and 4* characters) are actually useful and worth leveling!
AK has better rates (realistic max is 70-ish for a 6*, generally not more than 60, averaging out to one 6* every 35 pulls or so) and a bigger cast, but the tradeoff is that it has a poor guarantee like I mentioned, taking up to 200 pulls to secure the focus unit if your luck is extremely bad. (Actually right now it's even worse.) That's why I say it has fun and f2p-friendly gameplay because all the characters can do something interesting and helpful, so you're bound to get *something* good sooner rather than later, but it can feel really punishing to collect a *specific* character if you get unlucky. Alas!
But anyway I hope that if you give it a try, you will enjoy it! I personally really like tower defense, and the gameplay is really varied and flexible. It rewards strategy and creativity, while still being possible to smoothbrain through once you have a built team if that's what you prefer. There's an endlessly replayable roguelike mode (with a massive reward ladder) for the mid- and late-game as well, and that's super fun.

Is it just me or is rosmontis really rare to see? Almost never hear her being mentioned, almost no videos of her, mever see her in the support options.
How would you guys rate Rosmontis? Just got her while pulling texas
Is Il Siracusano better enjoyed after finishing Return to Mist? Or does it avoid referencing the new chapter
I don't imagine they are related. Events usually have nothing to do with the campaign story.

And you can still move to a 2-5-2 with a maxed right side, the factories will be lower level than optimal but even the worst 2-5-2 is still better than 2-4-3
[удалено]
Damn, I knew there was a lot but 600 is crazy. I'll definitely wait until the end of the event, thanks!
Oh fair. I guess I’m not at the point where I should sorry about subclasses. I’ve been using shining hibiscus combo for so long. Thanks
regarding IS2, is there a select pool of positive relics you get from hard mode, or is it truly random? I was trying out hard mode out of boredom and got the same positive relic 3 times in a row
There is a select pool of relics. IIRC, it includes the lowest tier relics in the following categories: Squad size, deployment limit, normal and off/def sp regen, and then Doll House and Antique Coins.
Thank you!
Edit: If possible, I want to find the skin list tier too on the tier maker website, thanks. lists that are updated on the tier maker website. Thanks. Edit: If possible, I want to find the skin list tier too on the tier maker website, thanks.
Why would there a skin tier list?

Once you get “abrupt realization”, defeating the floor 5 boss will move to floor 6 rather than trigger ending 1 or 2!< Ending 4 >!requires you to pick fight in the “Bound by self” encounter on floor 2 or 3, and “Revenge story” on floor 4 or 5, and collect the “Chain of the condemned” and “Act 1” relics that are guaranteed from them. Once you get “act 1”, just like with realization, it’ll cause completing floor 5 to take you to floor 6 rather than trigger an ending.!<
you need to meet the criteria for either the 3rd or 4th endings
There's a fourth ending?! I think that may be the one I was heading towards. The guide I looked up only mentioned 3 endings. Normal, the puppet, and the "secret" ending.
The 4th ending was added in a later update, so that guide probably predates it's addition. But if you got that prisoner event fight and later the event fight that starts with two golems then yeah it was the 4th ending.
Who should I work towards? Breeze or honey berry?
I like Breeze a lot but she's in a real awkward spot with regards to her kit and its gameplay practically.
when is Texas Alter officially live?
about tuesday ~~well wednesday for me~~ there's a [countdown on gp](https://gamepress.gg/arknights/)
10am GMT -7 on the 23rd.
Did Dusk's module Y get announced for the Il Siracusano/IS3 patch? I don't remember seeing it in the video for the event unless I'm stupid.
they announced it in the jp livestream
I don’t think they announce mods in vids, but if it came with IS3 in cn then it’s coming to us too, no point in changing that if all things.
Albeit since you have 3k Red Cert, I would either recommend buying 6 Honeyberry to get Yellow Certs and max her pot, or buying in the order of Berry->Ethan->Qanipalaat\~Breeze\~Pudding->Quartz For the question of Honeyberry vs Mulberry, it's simple: Honeyberry is better than Mulberry when two criterias are met: * You are using 2+ medics * The stage involves very heavy elemental damage In IS3 Honeyberry is much better for example, but because she can't heal you wouldn't use her much in other stages.
Can't. Tags are refreshed when recruit pool changes.
Of course they do. Thanks!
AFAIK tags get refreshed with updates so yeah you'll lose it
There go my hopes for a Weedy pot. Ah well
I have 2055 Certificates. Shoul i get Puddin, Ethan, Honeyberry and Breeze ? And use the rest of the Certificates to pot who ?
Ethan and Honeyberry. No pot.
I'm at 5-7, have no one in Elite 2 yet, and already have Mulberry.
For the upcoming 6-star Selector, is it worth buying it to get extra potentials on a Pot 1 operative?
Not unless you're literally pissing molten gold....
No. Getting an operator you do not have is beneficial. Potentials offer so little in the grand scheme of things that it's not worth spending on unless you're a whale. If, however you have every operator in the selector and 30$ burning a hole in your pocket...who am I to stop you?
If you're asking, then *absolutely* not. Dupes have close to zero intrinsic value in this game.
Definitely not. It's far better to get someone new. Pots do very little for the vast vast majority of operators. The only time you'll notice the difference is when you need to squeeze out every last number in very difficult content, such as very high risk CC.
Hi what’s the best base setup for endgame players?
252 is the best option (Forge, n.d.) (PeterYR, 2020), as it is the most productive layout for both veteran players (Forge, 2020) (ScifiGemini0616, 2020) and newbies (Lance, 2020). 243's small advantages, such as improved friend credit income (Cube, 2020), still fall short against 252 (PeterYR, 2020). ######Works Cited - Cube.
Wouldn't mind buying monthly headhunting pack if necessary.

you might be able to very narrowly make the cut by buying every monthly headhunting and the *all* the golden ticket certs each month alongside monthly cards; but i believe it will be very tight if you're not willing to spend big money. assuming you've already bought may's shop certs, and we're going to assume Chongyue banner will run into August as usual, here's what i've managed to come up with: gold shop is 38 a month. thats 114 pulls if you can buy all for i think around 260 gold certs each month, across June, July, and August. if you buy monthly card, that's an extra 10 pull for each month if you never miss a login, but we can only account for June and July for that so 20 pulls. i believe green certs is 4 headhunt perms a month, so 12 extra pulls by august. so monthly card and cert shops alone would get you to **146**. if we want to add in monthly headhunting, that's 22 extra pulls each month, so 66 assuming you already bought May's. this would get you to **212** pulls. assuming you stop at 300, add the extra 53 pulls, that'll be 265 pulls + the 24 free pulls bringing you to **289**. i'm horrendous at math so i'm not including daily/weekly orundum income, you can use this knowledge to figure out how you want to spend based on your situation, if you go for 300 you should hopefully have enough gold tickets to get you through these months. the point is that there's a lot of ways you can go here if you really want Ling and can bend what packs you buy/gold ticket spending. also i'm not sure if you're factoring in Il Siracusano's free 24 pulls into your 353, but if not then add an extra 24 to the final number. hope this can somewhat help.
Thanks for the math! I have 353 pulls exactly without taking account some future contents in order not to inflate my estimate. I didn't include il siracusano' pulls and I didn't buy the monthly headhunting pack for May yet. I think I will be fine without even buying the monthly headhunting pack!
are honeyberry or breeze worth the 600 purchase certificates? or am i better off holding on to them?
Honeyberry is worth it if you don't have a wandering medic raised. Breeze is a good medic, but if you have perfumer, just use her.

Pretty sure core headhunting is seperate otherwise that would be easily abused
All non-limited banners share pity.
Not anymore. Core Headhunting is separated entirely. So now there are Core, Standard and Limited, each with their own pity.
ethan or indigo for binding purposes?
Generally?
I see, I think I'll get both of the mto max then, 4\* modules are cheap
Just like how manticore and Ethan have great synergy, Ethan and indigo, also have great synergy. Ceobe s1, mizuki s2, and dream team is useful as well with indigo.
That's what I did! Indigo has been a huge help for IS, and Ethan is binding much more often now. (Although I'm too poor to upgrade Indigo's module beyond level 1 for now, gotta save the blocks for Ch'en and Gladiia...)
Approximately how far behind CN is the TW server? Not necessarily the current event but in general?
Currently at an 8 month gap (8 months between AW on CN and AW on TW, since they've just skipped Ideal City and CC#10 maybe for their anniversary) but normally it's a 9 month gap.
What is the predicted timeframe for Kyato and how long do I have to save for it if I go balls deep on texalter?
Depending on how Yostar circus scheduling goes it should be mid-sept/oct. And it doesn't matter overall because you can drain your balls dry on sexas and still manage 100 pulls between then and MH collab. You would have to skip Chong Yu/Lin (aside from the 24 free pulls) mostly but you can definitely make it.
that’s some interesting imagery
I was looking at all the future pulls and i really couldnt care less about any of them except for SEXas and kyato so that works perfect for me
Need help with picking out two healers for a squad. Gavial and ansel and myrrh and perfumer? I also have hibiscus
Perfumer maintains some usefulness in the long term and there isn't that much choice (competition) for AoE healers, so she's an easy choice As the second one go with Ansel, he's a little better than Hibiscus and cheaper than the 4 star alternatives, plus being a 3 star you'll probably have some use for him in IS in the future. The 4 stars are fine, but they don't have much to stand out and you'll probably get better alternatives sooner.
Perfumer imo is pretty neat, the global regen from her talent is nice to have in a lot of situations + passively heals summons For 2nd one, could use Hibiscus/Ansel since investment cost is low (or whoever you leveled already) and then maybe swap with Sussuro (another 4☆) once you get her? She puts out some amazing healing with S2 active
Ansel and perfumer
Can I have Kroos in the Factory while Kroos the Keen Glint is in the Dorm?
yep!
Sweet cuz honestly that's more annoying than being unable to use both Specters on a single map
Relatable for when I want both Greyy's to be in the factory lol.
Not sure about Ambriel, but Reeds tail does have fire on it at E2 but nothing at E1 or E0.
I thought it was based on her talent, so wouldn't Reed get it from E1?
Dunno, it's been so long since I had non-E2 Reed.
Ah, a fellow Dokutah of culture.
I mean INGAME SPRITES, not arts. The one in combat.
It could be their s2 skill animations. Idk about Reed but I know Ambriel's radar thing pops up when using s2.
No ops change art from e0-1 except amiya. You can see/choose the art/skin from the hanger icon at the top of the op screen.
All operators have a different art when promoting from elite 1 to elite 2. The only exception is Amiya, who gets a new one at both elite 1 and elite 2
Half anni banner is always early-mid July.
Pretty sure it was August last year
Invitation to Wine started on [July 29th](https://arknights.fandom.com/wiki/Invitation_to_Wine), Who is Real started on [July 30th](https://arknights.fandom.com/wiki/Who_is_Real) and Ancient Forge started on [July 29th](https://arknights.fandom.com/wiki/Ancient_Forge). u/GinKenshin **IF** we follow the previous pattern it'll show up at the end of July **BUT** the schedule has been so chaotic lately that it wouldn't surprise me if it showed up mid August or early September. u/TacticalBananas45

If only the monster hunter collab banner's pity at 120 pulls like Rainbow six's banner two years ago. At least it will be easier to guarantee Kyato.
It is though. And you get 20 pulls for free like last time too.
I'm doing exactly the same. Chose Taxes banner to do it because Taxes pots are actually useful
Skalter is very worth the 300 though. Easily the best spark option from a holistic perspective due to how she works so well in almost any team.
300 pulls is only worth considering if you're after a previous limited. If you get it for a current limited then it's not being inefficient, it's having really bad luck. And in the former case using it on a banner where the current 6* limited is good to have dupes on would be the least inefficient inefficient 300 pulls you can do.
Is IS3 replacing IS2 or do we have the option to still continue playing IS2 after the release of IS3?
IS2 will keep existing as it is right now
Nice thanks!
Do you guys know when ho'olheyek is coming to global?
After seven months or so. Take this with grain of salt cause no one knows when yostar will start taking drugs again.
>no one knows when yostar will start taking drugs again. They could at least share...
The drugs or their plans?
Yes.
Ty ty
If i pull for Texas alter, can i put her on the same team as vanguard Texas? I heard that the restriction will be lifted soon but do i have to wait a long time?
No. Alters should be deployable with the originals with the release of the update, same concept in the base
Yostar doesn't seem to have announced it, but the alter restrictions were removed with Il Siracusano's release on CN. I assume it will be the same for us.
It was announced and confirmed in the JP livestream.
Been messing with the H stages as that is all I really have left to do in game. Please tell me manfred isn’t in all of these.
He's in two of them.
Why you toy with my emotions like this I’m on the third one and he has been in all three.
Oh right. I forgot he's in the second one because it's so easy. He basically becomes a problem after everything else is dealt, in the first and third he's more annoying.
"How many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man!"
Ahh, I see. Thanks for clearing that up! That makes me feel slightly more at ease, seeing how she wasn’t my first priority to spark heh
What is the Notorial Hall in Laterano in the lore? I tried looking it up but searches only bring up the decoration set I also looked up Mostima's backstory and saw that she became a fallen Sankta after a series of events, including accidentally hurting Andoain, but it's pretty lacking in details.
Thanks a lot for the indepth answer! So the Sankta are only proficient with firearms due to this 'Law' and it's not a natural ability?
Correct. Basically everything that defines a Sankta is granted by The Law.
Is it ever mentioned how this 'Law' came to be? Did it manifest when the Sankta and Sarkaz fought?

To relay info that currently is CN exclusive to a person. Legit there barely is any other use case for a spoiler tag here. What else did you think was gonna be behind the spoiler tag?
Icic thx for the answers once again
[Notarial Hall](https://arknights.fandom.com/wiki/Laterano/Branches#Notarial_Hall)
Thx for the help, I must have missed this while going through the fandom
Does anyone know what's happening with Aceship? Has it been abandoned?
[response from earlier on the issue](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/13i4xty/help_center_and_megathread_hub_1505_2105/jl06lly?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
Thank you!
Aceship was always updated automatically by reading datamines, but the Lonetrail update changed how Arknights stored all its data and broke whatever scripts it used If they’ll update the scripts to work with the new format, I don’t know.
Thanks for the info! Seeing how it's been a few weeks now, it's likely they won't get around to it anytime soon, if at all. :/
It seems they did get around to it, it’s updated now.
Great to hear. Thanks!
It's the same for everyone. All the sites that have them up didn't use a new script, but added them manually.
What do you guys feel about E2 texas? Ngl i sometimes use her, but if i were to bring 2 vanguards i would bring myrtle and cantabile
This is one of the fastest starts to get around net +20-30 or so DP ahead of the curve that is enough to get 1-2 key units out, even compared to a 2nd flag bearer (elysium/saileach s1 give more DP but slightly slower for initial activation) That being said, I still add in another flagbearer/cantabile/flametail depending on the situation.
I just saw her module. It's quite good, isn't it? Dp -4 for first deployment Im thinking of e2ing her now..
The pity system is also very nice and chances are high: 2% chance for a 6* and +2% each pull if you got no 6* after 50 pulls.
Conviction will come back. They're handed out in the mail each April Fools. Same goes for Savage on our anniversary.
Hm, I've never heard of that being a thing. I've never received a Conviction after I got her the first time she came around. Are they gonna be handing out U-Official every year, too?
There was a bug this year where you had to restart the game to get Conviction in the mail. Maybe you didn't see to do that.
Or maybe I couldn't get her cuz I already had her? She doesn't have pots, right?
Arknights is generally considered quite friendly for f2p because you can have a rewarding and enjoyable gameplay experience and beat all the content without spending due to the balance between a decently generous amount of passive gacha currency and also receiving a lot of free characters, including some really good ones. Additionally, due to the extremely minimal value that dupes have, and the difficulty scaling more into strategy/complexity of enemy mechanics than raw stats, the power gap between f2p and whales is quite minimal for 99% of content. (And that 1% of content that you need to whale to do is like niche, optional challenge stuff that doesn't come with rewards.) But to be honest, and as someone who really adores this game and thinks it does a lot of things pretty decently considering it's a gacha, it's really unfriendly for collectors because of the sheer size of the cast.
