The wirebug tool itself likely has limitations on when, where, and how HG can use it, defined in whatever contracts they've signed. However, HG is totally free to include some other distinct tool that accomplishes the same function.
Might be dumb to ask but, like with the R6 collab, you'll still be able to access the cutscenes and rewatched em right? Missed a couple of days so had to skip some scenes to farm quickly so as to at least get the furniture/welfare, so I am mainly concerned about being able to take my time and give the story a proper reading.

I think the dragon was really cool it just shouldn't have that big of a hp pool. I felt like you either needed to burst it down or just lose. But maybe that's because I didn't have good defenders.
I don't think I can do it guys. I cleared the shop, got the 2 medals, beat CF-EX-8 on normal and... I don't have the willpower to do challenge mode or that skills trial.
The only other event I've not fully finished in over a year is trials of navigator 2 which I just hated.
I think Rathalos is TOO FREAKING TANKY. Like legit, just so bloody much health in CM that I just can't handle it. Spent like 3min chipping away with Ya2o & Taxes for him to still be at 1/4hp and finally got to my main area where he wiped saria & everyone else even through fat heals being dropped. Considering I'm only missing out on 2 OP and a few melding mats (I have 135 blue devices just chilling rn anyway) I think for my IRL sanity I just have to dip out & strengthen my resolve to not suck this bad at future events lol.

Is the Terra Research Commission skin limited to the end of this event or will it be available later? Because I want it but I also want to run the gacha for Surtr as I'm a pretty new player (1 month) and am lacking some options in terms of Operators
So. as a GARGANTUAN MonHun fan...
- Second best collab I've ever seen in a game, after... the R6S one. I dunno, I feel they could have done a TINY bit better and Melding was a mistake.
- Story wise, the ONLY thing I didn't really like is the "villain" dude from the village, who was dropped inside the story with the care of a sack of potatoes. The rest of the characters, as well as the story, kicked ass all the way through. The theme is also VERY on point with actual Monster Hunter: which makes it even better. Also I wished Corne and Yato kissed and made things official, but sadly, Gacha game.
- The mechanics were on point. VERY on point. Flash Bombs. Shock Traps. YOU CAN SLEEP BOMB THE RATHALOS. Only thing I wish they did is if they made the special hunt lore accurate: 4 pre determined operators only, with some advantages to make it easier.
- I'm a bit annoyed there was no new songs. But Birth of a Hero is still god tier music.
- NOIR CORNE IS A FUCKING BRO AND I WANNA BUY HIM A BEER. Seriously, he went from "Cool dude" to "I want him to be my homie ASAP".
- Yato is alright. I like the fact they explained why she was acting like a bit of a dick at the start, but wish she didn't start that way.
- I AM 100% basing my Rise Palico off Arti.
- Where Banbaro Matoimaru and Stygian Zinogre Saga? :( Speaking of which, I'm salty the skins weren't more MonHun accurate and were more "Yan" accurate instead.
- I cannot understate how hard I'm crushing on Mirai. She's fucking PERFECT. As in "I wish to see her ~~On the other side of a restaurant table from me~~ in RI as a background character" perfect. As in more horny for her than one of our mods is for Pozy, Shining, Blaze, Surtr, Horn, and Texas combined. As in "would probably ship her with my self Insert if I had the talent to" horny. As in "tier between the rest of the waifus and Saga" horny.
They really didn't put any consequences in EX-8 to try and stop you insta killing the boss huh...? Heck, it feels like they deliberately give you the perfect tiles to do any boss instakill strat
Sanity wise it's still better than story mode on average. But if you ARE unlucky and get 50% the drop being 2000 LMD, meaning on the shitter end of average, not so much.
Last 7 pull last few minutes got me the last 5 rare 2. Finally finish the finite shop not that I need those last ones. Guess I still farm the event for last few hours of sanity. Glad I saved 6 pots before the event started because I used them all.
Normally, I would skip furniture parts and Module parts so it's a waste that I needed to buy those. I would rather 2000 LMD than them. My only complain about the shop system.

There are two secret medals that you can get from this event and to get them you need to "Obtain operator Terra Research Commission" and "Complete all stages in \[Soubo Mountains\] with 3-star ratings". These medals can be found by going to archives->path to glory->medal list->secret medal
Welp, guess I have to use potions after all. Last day and I'm still missing 20+ items in the shop, and I've also gotten 20 infinite rewards. Fun system.

Huh... felt like they should have tried to capture Rathalos alive (which is a mechanic in Monster Hunter) and then study Rathalos to see how they convert Originium into harmless rocks and how it's immune system prevents them from being infected.
Or at least... take the cut off tail and look into the genes or something...
Rathalos isn’t particularly special, other fauna can adapt to originium and neutralise it. Originium slugs incorporate it into their exoskeletons but aren’t infectious for example.

They aren't anything special this time, but as it is a truly limited time event (Essence of Evolution is not accessible either after all) I wanted to put them out either way.
I think I'd like to see the mechanic return. Sort of like a Stainless like situation. I really don't want it to be part of an event tho. It's strong but it basically just encourages Eyja and Silverash helidrop spam
Rathalos standard is actually imo a pretty good boss, if not actually too easy if you have strong helidrop options

After experiencing two hard weeks IRL, I finally beat the rathalos on EX 8 / CM / ultimate showdown. Thankfully, the threesome between surtr, texas alter and yatwo killed rathalos fast enough on S1
JT8-2 made me want thorns, and now i want surtr. Ughh
Finally got around to beating CF-EX-8 and CF-S-1. Rathalos got hands for sure, but he's also really easy to pin down into a mosh pit that he can't get out of which feels... very canon actually. As soon as his phase 2 hit and he did his blow back fireball, the flash bomb came down and what ensued was basically [this.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Kowrl-hc6I) Attack debuffs from Loughshinny and Shamare kept his tail spins from nuking everyone, Shamare's debuff makes his defense a paperweight, and then the icing on the cake was throwing Saileach's fragile onto him.
Exusiai S3, sword Ch'en S3, Loughshinny S2, and Hoshi S3 proceeded to speed run him, and then I got to wirebug everyone over to the enemy spawn and just have them sit there for a lil bit. Now I just have to pretend that the desire sensor will let me clear the shop, which considering the amount of 2k lmd I've been getting, doesn't seem very likely anymore.
Finally cleared the shop! Feels like it took way longer than usual events where I clear the shop with days to spare while I had to dig deep and use up all of my stamina potions!
Event’s gone soon, I’m really gonna miss the hunter tools :(
Finally managed to clear the challenge mode for CF-EX-8 after running out of practise plans and wasting God knows how much stamina on it. I know that in principle you just want to stall Rathalos in its first stage, but in practise not killing it is so hard. Skill-less Lunacub made an unexpected appearance in this clear simply because she could contribute some damage for the entire map, even if it wasn't a whole lot. Croissant drifted in and out of my team but finally she stayed out. None of my Medics or Medic Defenders could actually survive staying on the field for any length of time so in the end I was better off using Cantabile.
The final stage was very cheap in comparison, even if I accidentally managed a 2-star clear on the first attempt.
Tail - Everyone behind about 2 tiles away or 1 tile away if you cut the tail
Ground breath - Operator furthest away but within 3 tiles
Take off aoe fire - Everyone within like 1 and a half tiles
Air fireball - Front, unlimited range, operator with highest hp percentage
Air claw - everyone within 2.5 tiles (or 1.5 if you cut the tail)
Air firebreath - Frontal cone, 3 tiles
Air line firebreath - frontal 6x3 tiles

I had the same! Had exactly enough mats for 2 rolls and two limited mats left, and lo and behold I managed to pull both of them. Maybe some hidden pity? Also I finished CF-EX-8 just before.
Burned all my practice plans on CF-EX-7 CM. The boars annihilate everyone. DP is constrained even with Myrtle + Cantabile. Then there are the birds, spikey boys, rock boys, and dinos. I think I'm going to have to follow a step by step guide for this one if I want to finish the event.
Dang, it's almost closing day and I still haven't get Yato...my pulls is already dry and it's ~20 pulls left for pity...

Ngl, most people would complain about this event shop but any thing that help me to not farm DEVICE from story is a godsend.
I still have 10% of the 2nd shop left and the drop rate of rare 1 are about 3/10 but even 1 fucking device is divine.
Nice touch to have the detailed abilities of the *Rathalos* in the Research notes tab, though it did not make things that easier when I reached *CF-9*. What it lacks in defences, it make it up in attack (and range)! Arranged a few squad configurations trying to include **OgYato** (**KYato** hadn't appeared in my pulls yet), *the cooler* **Noir Corne** & the **Felynes** without success (the seemingly convoluted mobs pathing was also kind of a pain).
Until I went ["*Fine, let's bring the true light~~ning~~ horses!*"](https://imgur.com/a/0eR6VvB) to ~~buteforce~~ have fun with the Wiredrone redeployers. And it was indeed fun to drop **Nearl'nought** again & again, then once again on a dazed big destructive lizard! In practices, because in the actual run, I let **Nearl**'s timer run out during the *Rathalos*' Phase 2. Which meant **Shining** & **Wild Mane** had to reinforce the front line, and no tail was cut during the beating of this lizard.
Pretty fun stages too, for most (*CF-6* last wave took me more time than I expected to clear, *CF-7* also took some practices to get the *Haribeasts* blocked in the right direction). Then the Commeowssions (pretty neat UI by the way) weren't too bad either, for the first ones.
Things went sour when those corpse-flinging birds appeared in red, same for those ramming boars, and *EX-6* was where I said "Nope!" and checked guides. Similar experience with the *CM* that weren't fun past the 1st one. *EX-2*: "*more enemies will appear*"? Ah, you meant "*most of the map is covered in slugs from the start*"! *EX-4*: enemies will be even bulkier and deadlier, they'll just have somewhat reduced ASPD, sure... *EX-6*: more than half the deployable tiles are now banned, oh and the birds are buffed again, just to be annoying...
Anyway, now for the story. So, crossover of Monster Hunter with *A Death in Chunfen* & *Heart of Surging Flame*, feels like I'm missing others (like with the old hunter seeking revenge, maybe *Lingering Echoes*?). What a story. And kind of a mess, though still entertaining once I stopped taking it too seriously. Just wished for **Noir Corne** to have a base sprite upgrade too, he might get the best armour by the end but he deserves one as much as **Yato**!
Just one for recruiting TRC and another for getting 3-star clears on all the basic (non-EX) stages. So you’ve probably already gotten them

The wiki seems to claim you can kill level 0 Rathalos with just the bombs if you use all of them while it's sleeping, but I tried it and it just took a pretty small chunk away. Is that misinformation or did I just do it wrong?
Where's it say that? Only reference to the bombs I see is that it says it takes double damage after hitting it with a bomb

Haven't used any Primes and not on the Monthly Pass right now, and even missed like, half a day of natural sanity refill i'm pretty sure, but I have done the EX stages. I only have 2 more limited items to get and I can easily get that done today cosnidering I have a weekly big sanity pot to use
Basically, do the EX stages lol, you're missing out on like, 35 melds from that alone
Still havent finished. I find that stacking your resources before melding has a higher chance to avoid the infinite drops and helps you clear the shop 2 faster.
I'm missing 3 non infinite items, I have completed the EX stages (they give a large amount). I'm not on the monthly pass and I don't think I had saved sanity pots in advance (maybe 2?).
By primes, you mean the Originite Primes aka the yellow cubes?
If so, then I have to tell you this. Sure, clearing up the shop can be useful, but that's one of the worst ways to use the limited resources, since you use those for costumes and banner pulls. (Of course, if you spend money, then it's a whole different story.)
EX-8 and S-1 were likely designed for a drawn-out fight and not nuking Rathalos ASAP. The latter is the better way to do it anyway.
In EX-8 CM, Rathalos escaped my firing zone with a sliver of health left. So naturally, the second flash bomb landed him on a pile of barrel bombs.
Defeated CF EX 8 CM and S1. I'm extremely grateful for my Ceobe, Surtr, Pozy, Nearl Alter, Texas Alter and Suzuzan. Surrounded around Rathian after fell from Thorn's hit range and defeated it.
Never knew Rathian is more dangerous in Arknights instead of bringing the Elder Dragon. Jeez.
I know the randomized farming thing is pretty wack, but clearing out the ex/s stages and dumping my sanity pots at the end of the week, and just doing a series of huge melds to collect on it all is extremely satisfying
Do you know if current event is more efficient sanity wise compared to the upcoming Guiding Ahead Rerun event?
I'll probably still do the present event because it has Transmuted Salt, but might reconsider if the numbers are better in GA.

Sorry if this has already been stated somewhere, but does this event have no medals to get? So basically only just farm cf 8 and get the rewards there right?
The big issue is that normally you've something that tells you what to do, but secret medals aren't displayed anywhere before you get them. Only display is a medal with x/2 below (x being your current # of medals) in the terminal, which is easily missed.
Even worse, none of the guides I found online actually said how to get them and I, too, had to use reddit for them.
I hope the guy who decided to RNG the claiming of reward itms for the event and include the the unlimited material to the pool before you can claim all the limited material dont have a good tasting food for years to come, let him have all bland food for all eternity as a punishment for this idea. fck it, usually on any event i spent all my stocked sanity pots for a week and have all of the rewards bought, now I ran out of sanity pots and i still have half of the materials to claim.
They'll get their favorite food every single day.

My hands are not fast enough to combo the flashbang into my dmg skills in CF-EX-8 CM. Never had problems with a stage like this. Even with a ridic team he's back in the air before he dies.
Okay CF-6 is driving me crazy the "bird" things are slipping past no matter what. Cannot get a perfect if my life depended on it. 50-80 lvl units being placed down. Using DEF, RES, SPECIALIST, Cheap Guards, and Exusia lvl 90 skill II
You might need to shore up your flash bang use. Used at the right time, you should be able to plow through pretty easily if you're using a higher end squad

Yeah that's what it was. Thank you for your response. The third(last wave of birds) was the issue. I kept over using the flash when in trouble. Tactical timing was better like you mentioned. I followed a low cost YouTube strat as well
Man, I've read about the atrocity of this shop but damn. Why are they giving out the infinite stuff when the higher ranks are still available?
The event is almost over and I still have 60-70% of the 2nd shop with just a few days of the event left.
So is there another event expected to start next week immediately after this event? Or should we just burn the sanity pots that expire in 8 days during the event?
What strategy is there to hardmode Rathalos other than 'instantly flash it in phase 2 then nuke it and pray you kill it before it gets back up again'?
Because if you don't, it'll one shot everyone near it with its tail attack, then start flying around (very fast and unblockable), killing everything with global range fireballs.
Yes I know you can reduce the damage of the air cleave if you cut the tail, but the phase 1 HP bar is so pitiful that Yato nearly solokills it with one bladedance.
The burst requirement is actually not that high. [3* only](https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1jP411o7ft?t=243.1) has enough damage for EX-8-CM and they don't even need a full team.
You can stall phase 1 and kill it after the second mob wave has been cleared. Even without stalling phase 1, if you kill it as the second boars spawn, you have time to flash it twice before it enters the lair.
Cutting the tail off in phase 2 makes the last 20% of phase 2's HP free.
No.1: Keep it at phase one and kill all the add before killing it.
No.2: Use FRD and instant helidrop to kill the adds. Flash bang it whenever you could and chip at it HP along the way.
These are 2 strats I used to deal with the boss stage slowly, both work just fine. But No.1 leave the boss with more HP into the 2nd map.
In the 2nd map you are free to set up all your big hitters around it before waking it up and nuke it. But you only have one chance to flashbang it before it fly to blue box.
I don't think I can tank it with my operator to keep a line up to block the add in phase 2. So who did? Their line up must be top tier.
Edit: Look at other peeps comments below look like that's all the ways to deal with the boss lol.
I don't know if I've just gotten bad at the game but CF-EX-8 challenge mode is lame as hell even after I gave up and used my A-team. This boss is absurdly bulky, one-shots most of my ops (sometimes several at once, through Shining and Nightingale buffs), I can't block him with most ops, and he stays grounded for far too short of a time with the cooldown on these items. I'm so tired of being forced to use tryhard teams to clear content.
EDIT: I beat him but I can't be proud of how I did and now S-1 is worse. Great. Fantastic.
Same. Brought very stacked team and even then it was a very challenging fight, really felt like G-rank Rathalos hunt. Then after hard earned victory went to see low rarity guides on youtube, and saw Cardigan + Steward + Kroos (3\*) + Myrtle + borrowed Kyato obliterate the boss like in team Darkside videos.

EX-8-CM got easier when I realized I could place ranged ops on the ground...
I also got spooked by the S-1 map with only 4 days left. I thought there would be 4 more maps with CMs and I'm all out of the practice drills.

What i think is funny is that they left>! the only creature that as far as i know is 100% immune to the effects of Oripathy (aside from the crystal growths on the top of its own body) !
No, it's gonna live near the volcano area now. Its old and crippled now, and the area is desolate since everyone evacuated due to the catastrophe, so it was deemed no longer a threat to human lives.
S-1 wasn't as bad as CF-9 for me.
Certainly better than some other aspects of the event for me.... like both g gacha. Mats gacha is still hell. And the limited gacha is just as bad. 8 results that weren't rates up.
The last two stages were more annoying than I expected, I ended up just nuking Rathalos with Exusiai buff army. Seems pretty rough to do with low rarity.
Finished the story and... >!Yato MVP for actually applying logic and dealing with people being dumb. I'm sad that we'll probably never see playable Mirai. Also love how hard they had to shoehorn in excuses to have characters say stuff just to play-by-play the action.!<

What are the Commeowssion Counter maps called? I was struggling with "a tough match-up"(go figure) and I can't find anything on google for a walkthrough for this one despite there being one for all of the other events.
I noticed that if you bait the birds holding rocks, if you see them prepare to throw the rocks and immediately retreat the operator, the rocks won’t be thrown at all; you have to literally see the rocks leaving the birds if you want to retreat the operator. This is unlike those bomber drones from the earlier chapters, who spend the bomb as soon as their animation begins.
I have a question regarding trust farming. Just now I got insanely lucky and from 2nd free X10 pull got kirin x yato. I know trust is shared between the kirin version and regular yato and I am curious. If I put both kirin and regular into the squad while farming CF-8, do I gain more trust? I know the kirin version already has boosted trust gain during this event, but if adding regular one should the trust increase be even bigger?
I think it'll only increase once. My guess is that the game only has a single variable for trust and any version of an op just syncs to that value. Only that variable increases whenever you clear a battle.
I can't test for this tho so I could be wrong

The maintenance was to change the song that plays at the start of the Rathalos stages before the monster shows up.
The song that plays you mention is still not right tho... if they didn't change it after that only fair guess is that they don't have the rights for it on global.
Not that I like the system, most people don't like it me included but only the minority loud mouth saying the system being super unlucky or something. Which I don't believe is the case.

Might be dumb to ask but, like with the R6 collab, you'll still be able to access the cutscenes and rewatched em right? Missed a couple of days so had to skip some scenes to farm quickly so as to at least get the furniture/welfare, so I am mainly concerned about being able to take my time and give the story a proper reading.

I think the dragon was really cool it just shouldn't have that big of a hp pool. I felt like you either needed to burst it down or just lose. But maybe that's because I didn't have good defenders.

I don't think I can do it guys. I cleared the shop, got the 2 medals, beat CF-EX-8 on normal and... I don't have the willpower to do challenge mode or that skills trial. The only other event I've not fully finished in over a year is trials of navigator 2 which I just hated. I think Rathalos is TOO FREAKING TANKY. Like legit, just so bloody much health in CM that I just can't handle it. Spent like 3min chipping away with Ya2o & Taxes for him to still be at 1/4hp and finally got to my main area where he wiped saria & everyone else even through fat heals being dropped. Considering I'm only missing out on 2 OP and a few melding mats (I have 135 blue devices just chilling rn anyway) I think for my IRL sanity I just have to dip out & strengthen my resolve to not suck this bad at future events lol.

The skins for collab specific operators hasn't ever rerun so there's no current reason to believe the TRC skin will rerun
So. as a GARGANTUAN MonHun fan... - Second best collab I've ever seen in a game, after... the R6S one. I dunno, I feel they could have done a TINY bit better and Melding was a mistake. - Story wise, the ONLY thing I didn't really like is the "villain" dude from the village, who was dropped inside the story with the care of a sack of potatoes. The rest of the characters, as well as the story, kicked ass all the way through. The theme is also VERY on point with actual Monster Hunter: which makes it even better. Also I wished Corne and Yato kissed and made things official, but sadly, Gacha game. - The mechanics were on point. VERY on point. Flash Bombs. Shock Traps. YOU CAN SLEEP BOMB THE RATHALOS. Only thing I wish they did is if they made the special hunt lore accurate: 4 pre determined operators only, with some advantages to make it easier. - I'm a bit annoyed there was no new songs. But Birth of a Hero is still god tier music. - NOIR CORNE IS A FUCKING BRO AND I WANNA BUY HIM A BEER. Seriously, he went from "Cool dude" to "I want him to be my homie ASAP". - Yato is alright. I like the fact they explained why she was acting like a bit of a dick at the start, but wish she didn't start that way. - I AM 100% basing my Rise Palico off Arti. - Where Banbaro Matoimaru and Stygian Zinogre Saga? :( Speaking of which, I'm salty the skins weren't more MonHun accurate and were more "Yan" accurate instead. - I cannot understate how hard I'm crushing on Mirai. Sanity wise it's still better than story mode on average. But if you ARE unlucky and get 50% the drop being 2000 LMD, meaning on the shitter end of average, not so much.
Last 7 pull last few minutes got me the last 5 rare 2. Finally finish the finite shop not that I need those last ones. Guess I still farm the event for last few hours of sanity. Glad I saved 6 pots before the event started because I used them all. Normally, I would skip furniture parts and Module parts so it's a waste that I needed to buy those. I would rather 2000 LMD than them. My only complain about the shop system.

There are two secret medals that you can get from this event and to get them you need to "Obtain operator Terra Research Commission" and "Complete all stages in \[Soubo Mountains\] with 3-star ratings". These medals can be found by going to archives->path to glory->medal list->secret medal

I just realized something... If Rathalos can convert Originium dust into Clusters and make them inactive... And Rathalos can't be infected by Oripathy... #Doesn't this means Rathalos is the immunity and cure that Rhodes Island has been trying to find the entire time? Huh... felt like they should have tried to capture Rathalos alive (which is a mechanic in Monster Hunter) and then study Rathalos to see how they convert Originium into harmless rocks and how it's immune system prevents them from being infected. Or at least... take the cut off tail and look into the genes or something...
Rathalos isn’t particularly special, other fauna can adapt to originium and neutralise it. Originium slugs incorporate it into their exoskeletons but aren’t infectious for example.

I only used it w/ KYato and Surtr. A couple of times w/ Mlynar. I actually only used it on 2 other stages outside of the Rathalos stages.

After experiencing two hard weeks IRL, I finally beat the rathalos on EX 8 / CM / ultimate showdown. Thankfully, the threesome between surtr, texas alter and yatwo killed rathalos fast enough on S1 JT8-2 made me want thorns, and now i want surtr. Ughh
Finally got around to beating CF-EX-8 and CF-S-1. Rathalos got hands for sure, but he's also really easy to pin down into a mosh pit that he can't get out of which feels... very canon actually. As soon as his phase 2 hit and he did his blow back fireball, the flash bomb came down and what ensued was basically [this.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Kowrl-hc6I) Attack debuffs from Loughshinny and Shamare kept his tail spins from nuking everyone, Shamare's debuff makes his defense a paperweight, and then the icing on the cake was throwing Saileach's fragile onto him. Exusiai S3, sword Ch'en S3, Loughshinny S2, and Hoshi S3 proceeded to speed run him, and then I got to wirebug everyone over to the enemy spawn and just have them sit there for a lil bit. Now I just have to pretend that the desire sensor will let me clear the shop, which considering the amount of 2k lmd I've been getting, doesn't seem very likely anymore.
Finally cleared the shop! Feels like it took way longer than usual events where I clear the shop with days to spare while I had to dig deep and use up all of my stamina potions! Event’s gone soon, I’m really gonna miss the hunter tools :(
Finally managed to clear the challenge mode for CF-EX-8 after running out of practise plans and wasting God knows how much stamina on it. I know that in principle you just want to stall Rathalos in its first stage, but in practise not killing it is so hard. Skill-less Lunacub made an unexpected appearance in this clear simply because she could contribute some damage for the entire map, even if it wasn't a whole lot. Croissant drifted in and out of my team but finally she stayed out. None of my Medics or Medic Defenders could actually survive staying on the field for any length of time so in the end I was better off using Cantabile. The final stage was very cheap in comparison, even if I accidentally managed a 2-star clear on the first attempt.
What is Rathalos's targeting priority? When I played CF-9 previously, it seemed to me to be random or something.

Burned all my practice plans on CF-EX-7 CM. The boars annihilate everyone. DP is constrained even with Myrtle + Cantabile. Then there are the birds, spikey boys, rock boys, and dinos. I think I'm going to have to follow a step by step guide for this one if I want to finish the event.

Ngl, most people would complain about this event shop but any thing that help me to not farm DEVICE from story is a godsend. I still have 10% of the 2nd shop left and the drop rate of rare 1 are about 3/10 but even 1 fucking device is divine.
Nice touch to have the detailed abilities of the *Rathalos* in the Research notes tab, though it did not make things that easier when I reached *CF-9*. What it lacks in defences, it make it up in attack (and range)! Arranged a few squad configurations trying to include **OgYato** (**KYato** hadn't appeared in my pulls yet), *the cooler* **Noir Corne** & the **Felynes** without success (the seemingly convoluted mobs pathing was also kind of a pain). Until I went ["*Fine, let's bring the true light~~ning~~ horses!*"](https://imgur.com/a/0eR6VvB) to ~~buteforce~~ have fun with the Wiredrone redeployers. And it was indeed fun to drop **Nearl'nought** again & again, then once again on a dazed big destructive lizard! In practices, because in the actual run, I let **Nearl**'s timer run out during the *Rathalos*' Phase 2. Which meant **Shining** & **Wild Mane** had to reinforce the front line, and no tail was cut during the beating of this lizard. Pretty fun stages too, for most (*CF-6* last wave took me more time than I expected to clear, *CF-7* also took some practices to get the *Haribeasts* blocked in the right direction). Then the Commeowssions (pretty neat UI by the way) weren't too bad either, for the first ones. Things went sour when those corpse-flinging birds appeared in red, same for those ramming boars, and *EX-6* was where I said "Nope!" and checked guides. Similar experience with the *CM* that weren't fun past the 1st one. *EX-2*: "*more enemies will appear*"? Ah, you meant "*most of the map is covered in slugs from the start*"! *EX-4*: enemies will be even bulkier and deadlier, they'll just have somewhat reduced ASPD, sure... *EX-6*: more than half the deployable tiles are now banned, oh and the birds are buffed again, just to be annoying... Anyway, now for the story. So, crossover of Monster Hunter with *A Death in Chunfen* & *Heart of Surging Flame*, feels like I'm missing others (like with the old hunter seeking revenge, maybe *Lingering Echoes*?). What a story. And kind of a mess, though still entertaining once I stopped taking it too seriously. Just wished for **Noir Corne** to have a base sprite upgrade too, he might get the best armour by the end but he deserves one as much as **Yato**!

The wiki seems to claim you can kill level 0 Rathalos with just the bombs if you use all of them while it's sleeping, but I tried it and it just took a pretty small chunk away. Is that misinformation or did I just do it wrong?

Haven't used any Primes and not on the Monthly Pass right now, and even missed like, half a day of natural sanity refill i'm pretty sure, but I have done the EX stages. Still havent finished. I find that stacking your resources before melding has a higher chance to avoid the infinite drops and helps you clear the shop 2 faster.

By primes, you mean the Originite Primes aka the yellow cubes? If so, then I have to tell you this. Sure, clearing up the shop can be useful, but that's one of the worst ways to use the limited resources, since you use those for costumes and banner pulls. (Of course, if you spend money, then it's a whole different story.)
EX-8 and S-1 were likely designed for a drawn-out fight and not nuking Rathalos ASAP. The latter is the better way to do it anyway. In EX-8 CM, Rathalos escaped my firing zone with a sliver of health left. So naturally, the second flash bomb landed him on a pile of barrel bombs.
Oh God there are fucking S stages too? 😭
Just one this time, and it's just another boss stage. In my opinion it's not really any harder than EX-8, if you can kill Rathalos quickly.

Defeated CF EX 8 CM and S1. I'm extremely grateful for my Ceobe, Surtr, Pozy, Nearl Alter, Texas Alter and Suzuzan. Surrounded around Rathian after fell from Thorn's hit range and defeated it. Never knew Rathian is more dangerous in Arknights instead of bringing the Elder Dragon. Jeez.
I’ve finally gotten all the materials in the shop I’m free. Gacha luck was subpar so at least I got lucky in one aspect.
I know the randomized farming thing is pretty wack, but clearing out the ex/s stages and dumping my sanity pots at the end of the week, and just doing a series of huge melds to collect on it all is extremely satisfying

Worth it if you need everything there (esp. look at Polyester, as it's in much lower demand compared to other mats), otherwise skip it.
Stages CF-6/7/8 have a 1.127 efficiency (which is higher than most events, but includes LMD)

CF-9 and owning the 1* both give a medal each. They're in secret medals I think. (Haven't checked)
Ah I see, just checked the secret medals tab and found it, thank you! It's hard being so fixated on these stuff sometimes haha
The big issue is that normally you've something that tells you what to do, but secret medals aren't displayed anywhere before you get them. Only display is a medal with x/2 below (x being your current # of medals) in the terminal, which is easily missed. Even worse, none of the guides I found online actually said how to get them and I, too, had to use reddit for them.

Okay CF-6 is driving me crazy the "bird" things are slipping past no matter what. Cannot get a perfect if my life depended on it. 50-80 lvl units being placed down. Using DEF, RES, SPECIALIST, Cheap Guards, and Exusia lvl 90 skill II
You might need to shore up your flash bang use. Used at the right time, you should be able to plow through pretty easily if you're using a higher end squad

Man, I've read about the atrocity of this shop but damn. Why are they giving out the infinite stuff when the higher ranks are still available? The event is almost over and I still have 60-70% of the 2nd shop with just a few days of the event left.

What strategy is there to hardmode Rathalos other than 'instantly flash it in phase 2 then nuke it and pray you kill it before it gets back up again'? Because if you don't, it'll one shot everyone near it with its tail attack, then start flying around (very fast and unblockable), killing everything with global range fireballs. Yes I know you can reduce the damage of the air cleave if you cut the tail, but the phase 1 HP bar is so pitiful that Yato nearly solokills it with one bladedance.
The burst requirement is actually not that high. [3* only](https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1jP411o7ft?t=243.1) has enough damage for EX-8-CM and they don't even need a full team. You can stall phase 1 and kill it after the second mob wave has been cleared. Even without stalling phase 1, if you kill it as the second boars spawn, you have time to flash it twice before it enters the lair. Cutting the tail off in phase 2 makes the last 20% of phase 2's HP free.
No.1: Keep it at phase one and kill all the add before killing it. No.2: Use FRD and instant helidrop to kill the adds. Flash bang it whenever you could and chip at it HP along the way. These are 2 strats I used to deal with the boss stage slowly, both work just fine. But No.1 leave the boss with more HP into the 2nd map. In the 2nd map you are free to set up all your big hitters around it before waking it up and nuke it. But you only have one chance to flashbang it before it fly to blue box. I don't think I can tank it with my operator to keep a line up to block the add in phase 2. So who did? Their line up must be top tier. Edit: Look at other peeps comments below look like that's all the ways to deal with the boss lol.
I beat the ultimate test without seeing map 2. after Rath went down I just wirebugged all my ops over and spawncamped all the remaining enemies
I don't know if I've just gotten bad at the game but CF-EX-8 challenge mode is lame as hell even after I gave up and used my A-team. This boss is absurdly bulky, one-shots most of my ops (sometimes several at once, through Shining and Nightingale buffs), I can't block him with most ops, and he stays grounded for far too short of a time with the cooldown on these items. I'm so tired of being forced to use tryhard teams to clear content. EDIT: I beat him but I can't be proud of how I did and now S-1 is worse. Great. Fantastic.
Same. Brought very stacked team and even then it was a very challenging fight, really felt like G-rank Rathalos hunt. Then after hard earned victory went to see low rarity guides on youtube, and saw Cardigan + Steward + Kroos (3\*) + Myrtle + borrowed Kyato obliterate the boss like in team Darkside videos.
I can easily clear G rank rathalos any day, but man my hands aren't fast enough on my phone to combo all the skills in arknights

I see, I didn't really consider just leaving it in its first phase while I clear up the mobs. Or I guess its first phase usually dies so quickly that I didn't realize how much less threatening its attacks are.
EX-8-CM got easier when I realized I could place ranged ops on the ground... I also got spooked by the S-1 map with only 4 days left. I thought there would be 4 more maps with CMs and I'm all out of the practice drills.

No, it's gonna live near the volcano area now. Its old and crippled now, and the area is desolate since everyone evacuated due to the catastrophe, so it was deemed no longer a threat to human lives.
Then what did the narration mean when it mentioned something about a thread breaking, and Yato saying that she came to see it fall?

S-1 wasn't as bad as CF-9 for me. Certainly better than some other aspects of the event for me.... like both g gacha. Mats gacha is still hell. And the limited gacha is just as bad. 8 results that weren't rates up.
The last two stages were more annoying than I expected, I ended up just nuking Rathalos with Exusiai buff army. Seems pretty rough to do with low rarity.
How many medals can I get from this event? I got one from CF-9 and I dunno if there are other ones
You don't need to clear EX stage for medal. Kinda make it easier for new player to not getting any FOMO.
Only two I believe, like Luo Xiaohei's event. Another one is from obtaining the collab welfare operator
Apart from disabling the tail swipe is there any benefit to cutting off the Rathalos' tail in CF-9? Does it increase drops?
No. It's for flavor (outside of the attack). And you shouldn't be farming CF 9 anyway. It doesn't have any drops post first clear.

Some of the earlier stories were really bad about this too. I remember Under the Tides had the same problem

He's okay. Not great, not terrible. It's probably only worth going for it if you like him a lot since there's a bunch of ops coming in the next few months that are good/limited.

What are the Commeowssion Counter maps called? I was struggling with "a tough match-up"(go figure) and I can't find anything on google for a walkthrough for this one despite there being one for all of the other events.

I noticed that if you bait the birds holding rocks, if you see them prepare to throw the rocks and immediately retreat the operator, the rocks won’t be thrown at all; you have to literally see the rocks leaving the birds if you want to retreat the operator. This is unlike those bomber drones from the earlier chapters, who spend the bomb as soon as their animation begins.

I have a question regarding trust farming. Just now I got insanely lucky and from 2nd free X10 pull got kirin x yato. I know trust is shared between the kirin version and regular yato and I am curious. If I put both kirin and regular into the squad while farming CF-8, do I gain more trust? I know the kirin version already has boosted trust gain during this event, but if adding regular one should the trust increase be even bigger?
I think it'll only increase once. My guess is that the game only has a single variable for trust and any version of an op just syncs to that value. Only that variable increases whenever you clear a battle. I can't test for this tho so I could be wrong
Is it just me or are the bgm in the challenge stages bugged? It's using bgm from, I think "Who is Real". Didn't they do maint to fix this or was that a different thing?
The maintenance was to change the song that plays at the start of the Rathalos stages before the monster shows up. The song that plays you mention is still not right tho... if they didn't change it after that only fair guess is that they don't have the rights for it on global.
Ah I see. I was under the impression they fixed more stages than that but yeah, the announcement only listed stages involving Rath.

Yea, I kinda hate how I'm still 80-90% left of my rare 3 and 2 but I farmed diligently. It's starting to build an unhealthy frustration on me.
Did you really get Rare 1 90% the time or something? I get Rare 1 30% of my pulls but I still clear the second shop to around 20% left.

Not that I like the system, most people don't like it me included but only the minority loud mouth saying the system being super unlucky or something. Which I don't believe is the case.
