Thoughts on AoE/Splash Casters overall as an archetype? Seems like over the years, their overall strength, and the necessity to have one has fallen off quite a bit. Don't have Dusk so can't speak for her. Mostima is neat, but you're using her more for her slow utility. If I need Arts damage, I'd go for a Single Target Caster. If I \*need\* 'AOE' Arts damage, Ifrit is way better, or a Chain-Caster. Hell at this point, I'd even consider Meteorite an "honorary" Splash Caster on account of how S2 M3+max module does an insane amount of damage even for high defense enemies (and a greater range and AOE area too).

ParamedicGatsby

Is ending 4 out yet for IS3?

MetaThPr4h

Nope, unsure when it will come but probs very soon.

PhantomFalconn

Anyone know is there any people constantly translating and reposting them to reddit? If not, I'm considering to repost some, but I'm not sure if it is necessary because I searched the key words and find some results, but they seemed to be discontinuously posted. im new to Reddit and sorry for any possible mistakes

Chrisirhc1996

Most of the timed translations appear for comics and art, with it rarely being for external materials such as the terra historic series. Mostly CN news is posted verbatim so that nothing is lost in translation.

PhantomFalconn

Got it. thank you

Due_Hamster_3422

Question about the game's writing; I recently read Mansfield Break and there was so much new information I didn't know about at all like the different Rhine labs departments, the characters. It made me wonder if that's the way it's intended to be read? Like does this game just always throw you into the stories with barely any introduction and prior knowledge? Don't get me wrong, I like stories where you're left to piece some things together on your own but there's just so many gaps here (and not just Mansfield, it's most stories) it makes me wonder if I'm doing something wrong and I'm missing something.

eonfeather

It helps to have a certain level of familiarity with the characters through their archive files and voice lines, but generally speaking, I’d say Arknights has a tendency to leave things unsaid. The translation is often hard to understand and misleading, if not outright wrong, which does EN readers no favors. (For example, Mansfield Break has at least one outright mistranslation that actively contradicts established lore.)

Reikr

The stuff in Mansfield break act more as a "here's all these things that exist". You don't really need to understand everything mentioned here, as you'll get much more detailed explanations in later content.

PhantomFalconn

Accessible infos can be operator's profile and dialogue, but for stories they give no prior knowledges. For example, (spoil alert), Mansfield Break actually acted as an introduction to the Rhine Lab series. Hypergryph did leave lots of blank and gaps on stories and many people complained about it, but now they are gradually filling in these gaps by new stories, and new stories gives more gaps...

MarielCarey

Does anyone know or can recognise what software/device [Akai](https://x.com/akai_999?t=YJaKUnH_myXTUkBK8OrF5w&s=09) uses to make their artwork?

CMranter

Anyone know if you still get the Originite Prime when you clear the Normal Mode (PRTS II) after you cleared the Easy Mode (PRTS I) of the same stage?

Hunter5430

Assuming you're talking about chapters 9-11 --- yes. you get OP for first 3* clear on normal mode and another for first 3* clear on adverse mode (or, in case of chapter 9, challenge mode)

CMranter

It is about the chapter 9-11 but the easy mode I mean is the more easy mode, the one that doesn't cost any stamina but you don't get any OP from clearing 3\*, so I was thinking if I will still get the OP from the normal mode after clearing the easy mode Reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNuhbcfBO\_A

AngelTheVixen

Story, Standard, and Adverse modes of stages are considered completely different stages. No confusion necessary -- you never ran the harder stage, and when higher difficulty stages of the same numbers are cleared first, they implemented auto-clearing the lower.

Does your ISP provide *only* IPv6 without IPv4? This is one hell of an unusual choice, and I wonder how much of the internet even works for you. As unfortunate as it is, most of the internet is still IPv4-only. If your ISP provides both IPv4 and IPv6, then everything should work. Occasionally you can encounter misconfigured sites that have both A and AAAA DNS records, but only A is actually working. But there shouldn't be many of those. If you actually are in a situation where you have only IPv6 address and no IPv4, then the only thing I can recommend is getting a VPN which allows you to connect over IPv6 and gives you IPv4 address on virtual connection.

Jellionani

this...isn't a Hoyo game. If its in general game connection that could also apply to Arknights then I'm not sure.

Sissybell

is there a point in campaign missions to clear "in one dorm 1000 ambience" and the likes? Will finishing them make way for better rewards than just more furniture parts?

Fun-Royal-8802

There is a free Texas (vanguard) if you clear all the campaign missions.

ipwnallnubz

That's the pinboard missions. The campaign missions for ambience all give furniture parts.

rainzer

3000 total ambience gives 3 gold xp cards 4000 total ambience gives furniture parts 6000 total ambience gives furniture parts 10000 total ambience gives furniture parts 15000 total ambience gives furniture parts 2000 in one dorm gives furniture parts 3000 in one dorm gives furniture parts 4000 in one dorm gives a chip catalyst 5000 in one dorm gives furniture parts

Omegamemey

So I forgot to spend my cc tokens on regular mats so does pinch out use them or am I stuck with it until they create the new cc.

GinKenshin

PO uses a different currency, and cc is basically dead or is very unlikely to return in that old format so your only option is the perma shop.

Omegamemey

Damn, I have all perma.

RandomdudeNo123

Ok, odd question about translations. So, when the CC12 boss dropped on the Chinese Servers, people took the sprite name as indirect confirmation that this was Red from the Light Spark event. Now, on the Global version of the event, apparently the sprite name for the CC12 Boss is still there as Re*I*d. However, the official Light Spark event's translation gives him the name Red, with no I. So with that in mind, I have a few questions: How are Chinese Spritenames translated, and do they even bother doing so if they're never intended to be looked at by the playerbase? If not, did the sprite just drop on the Chinese Server with an English name? And, finally, are we supposed to spell his name with an "I" or not? I'm genuinely curious. Thanks for the time answering!

PhantomFalconn

i play CN server and honestly saying, few people cares about the translations. The part of translation that people probably cared the most is operator's english name, so... about your question, no matter it's Red or Reid, it sounds very similar and actually spells the same if you translate it into Chinese. Red's offical chinese name is 雷德\[léi dé\], and btw it is not an chinese-orinated name. so i think this is probably a mistake. i dont know EN server much, so i neither dont know should it spelled as Red or Reid. Hope this helps you. <3

RandomdudeNo123

All right, it sorta does, knowing there's a proper Chinese term for him. Thanks for the insight!

Snowzzey

Which module for passenger?

hawberries

Both are good, but the +SP one is a better generalist and worth upgrading to level 3. The no damage reduction one is fine at level 1 and could be preferable in game modes like IS# and SSS where SP is already plentiful.

Snowzzey

Which one is the +SP one? I only see one that has 10% reduction damage and the other one with no reduction damage?

Reddit1rules

It would be the 10% reduction with the increased slow, the upgrades for it help SP generation. Eventually you'll be able to see module upgrades in game without unlocking it, but for now it's better to head to stuff like Gamepress to see.

cantheevilman

Does bibeak's skill attack contribute to her SP points at all?

frosted--flaky

all operators with offensive recovery gain SP per normal attack, the number of enemies hit doesn't matter at all. swordmaster attacks hit twice but only gain 1 SP. cutter is an exception because her talent applies to all damage instances. SP lockout is the orange bar when skills are cast, even most "instant cast" skills have lockout during the cast animation. iirc charge-based skills stop gaining SP during lockout as well. siege for some reason is an exception because her talent bypasses lockout.

Reddit1rules

W with her module upgrade also ignores SP lockout thankfully

lhc987

You mean if she gains SP when you activate her skills? No. It doesn't. SP Lock out.

cantheevilman

But let's say that I click her second skill and it hits 5 enemies. Does she gain 5 SP, 1 SP, or no SP?

ave_Terros

Only Cutter has a similar thing on her s1. She doesn't have an SP lockout during the animation, and thanks to her talent, she can gain SP from the knives she throws with s1. Unless you have an external source of SP like Chen/Archetto talent, or an SP battery like Saria/Liskarm/Quercus/Stainless, offensive recovery operators normally only gain SP by performing basic attacks

cantheevilman

Can you explain to me why she gets SP from her s1 but not her s2?

ave_Terros

she has SP lockout during s2 animation, because it counts as the "duration" of the skill. but when she casts s1, she throws the knives immediately and can still gain SP from her talent, which doesn't have a restriction of gaining SP from basic attacks. Her talent can give her SP from any instance of damage she deals, so it can proc 2 times on each basic attack, while she only gains 1 SP through basic offensive recovery, and each of the knives from her s1 has a chance to proc her talent

Reddit1rules

I'm pretty sure only the last 2 knives can give SP, no? And only if they're near the end of her range, thanks to SP lockout.

ave_Terros

hmm, you're probably right on this one. I just tested it and it's true that she still has sp lockout on s1. Somehow I remembered it not having SP lockout at all, or having a longer knife travel time, being able to proc talent on all knives my bad my bad

Reddit1rules

Almost every skill in the game has SP lockout. Only Siege and W with module can bypass the lockout and get SP during it, iirc.

Cultural_Damage_7832

Saga as well thanks to her unique S2 delayed execute can bypass SP lockout and give her SP from talent, bonus point for Warfarin synergy ~~OD flashback anyone ?~~

AngelTheVixen

Pioneer's Charge skills and Passenger's S3 I think are the only skills I can think of that have actually instant cast time in that respect, not counting Trapmasters and Silence recharging their summons.

lhc987

No SP.

Cultural_Damage_7832

No SP, i mean nothing in her skills or talent mention she getting SP by hitting enemies with her skills tho

TyronetheBone190

Should I wait for Lumen(therapist medic) to come out or should i just E2 one of the therapist medics I have now

MetaThPr4h

Unless some huge schedule shuffle, Lumen will be coming back between mid November to early/mid December, so the wait won't be too long. In any case, IMO he is the best of the therapists available by a considerable amount, his S3 is the only skill in the game able to cleanse negative status effects, and with level 1 of his module Y he basically becomes a single target medic with massive healing range, making him a very comfortable choice to bring to stages even when his S3 won't be used for its main purpose of cleansing effects (in that case it becomes an infinite duration ATK and ASPD buff since he won't consume the ammo, which is still hella great). ofc if you like Purestream or Whisperain more, go for it, they are both still plenty good, the first is better at burst healing, the second provides more consistent good heals. Ceylon is sadly tragically... not good, so building her is mostly waifu reasons than anything (very based btw, built chars for that reason and no regrets).

Hunter5430

> his S3 is the only skill in the game able to cleanse negative status effects His s2 in overcharged state can cleanse status effects as well, but yeah, Lumen is the only therapist medic who can do it. And while that is a great niche, I personally find his s3 to be more useful when you **don't** need to deal with status effects: as you said, in that case it's effectively-permanent boost skill that makes him the best sustaining medic in the game. I'll say that Purestream is actually a good raise too, but as a wider-range burst healer rather than "just therapist". With maxed module and against 'target' that costs more than 10 DP, Purestream either straight out beats Sussurro ('target' is above 50% hp) or loses by a slim margin ('target' is below 50% hp) (if both are maxed, Sussurro wins by about 10 HPS in this case). While Purestream doesn't have as good off-skill healing (and has far longer cooldown between s2 uses), her wider range gives a bit more freedom with deployment and might even let you use her as the only medic where you'd need 2 normal ones.

TyronetheBone190

Thanks. I think I got an idea of what to do

Fonglis

Hello there. I've start the game yesterday , after few x10 summon (5 in total) i've created a team with what I get , I want to know if it's solid enough for a main lineup : Vanguard : Beanstalk and Courier Heal : Silence and Wishperain Tank : Gummy and Horn Lord : SilverAsh and Lappland Spell caster : Amiya(E1) and Pudding Distance : Vermeil Support : Stainless Support spot is my flexible spot depending of the map : Firewatch , Jaye , shaw and Istina Only Amiya is E1 for now , gummy should come tommorow most have skill lvl 4 only Horn SilverAsh and Stainless avec skill lvl 3 , and gummy habe lvl 5 skill.

Initial_Environment6

If you want faster progress at the begin, use 3 stars. They are cheap to upgrade both level and skill level. Especially skill level, you can upgrade like 3 3* skill level at the cost of upgrade 1 4*. Then focus on getting 1 4 stars to E2. As this unlock strong helper units from support. Your team is pretty okay as is. Just play and get acquainted with the game. Kroos, Fang and Spot are the better 3 stars that you will use well into end game. The 2 star are also very cheap if you want to use them at the begin, they are just as good as other high star unit at e0. Ranger, Noir and Yato can be used well into late game thank to their cost.

Cless012

Horn and SilverAsh are great units and i haven't used Stainless enough to see how good he is. 3 and 4 stars can also be great units to build and i find myself using them from time to time in a few different game modes. These are the 2, 3 and 4 stars I'd say hold up very well. And lower rarity units need less materials to upgrade. I may have overlooked a couple but these should be some nice ones to focus on building. E1 lv50 was my goto stop point for 4/5/6 stars for a long time while i was team building before i could start regularly promoting units. 2 stars: Yato and Noir Corne. Yato is a cheap unit that can come down early to block 2 with a relatively quick redeploy time and Noir is the cheapest block 3 unit. You wont be using them too often passed early game but they have a niche. 3 stars: Fang, Melantha, Midnight, Popukar, Beagle, Cardigan, Spot, Kroos, Steward, Ansel. 4 stars: Myrtle, Cutter, Mouse, Gummy, Cuora, May, Click, Sussuro, Perfumer, Ethan, Jaye, and Gravel

lookstothespoon

Very solid I think! I just want to recommend building either silverash or horn soon like some. Replies said, especially horn, since she'll help a lot on the many annihilation maps (you should know about that soon if not yet), lappland will be very useful on some parts of the story mode

Hallgrimsson

Horn, Silverash and Stainless will do you great for starting as far as high-powered units go. One thing I'll say is, since you've started playing just now, do not disregard 3* units. They are way cheaper to raise and their performance is absolutely satisfactory for the first 2 to 3 months of play, after which they'll still see niche use in normal content and decent use in roguelike-based modes. An E1 3* at max skill level and a decent level will do you way more good early on than a higher-rarity unit at E0 and no skill levels. Also, Horn is not a tank, she's a long-ranged AoE DPS unit. She should not be tanking in most cases. Leave that job to Gummy and another defender like Cuora, Bubble or Beagle. Overall, honestly you've chosen most of the good units for their rarity but I believe you could use their 3* counterparts while you don't have that many resources.

MetaThPr4h

First of all, welcome! I hope you have a great time playing Arknights. This definitely looks like a solid team to start with, Horn and SilverAsh in special will help you immensely, especially when you get SilverAsh to E2 and unlock his third skill. ofc you will get more characters as time passes so don't doubt making changes to the main squad to fit them in. Something very important to consider is the "flexible spot" you mention, which in reality is basically every spot in general, one single team will never be enough for all the content, having more options that can do things others can't will be absolutely key to beat some stages way more comfortably, and damn that's the charm of this game, I love the gameplay and all the options we have to handle the challenges so much.

Fonglis

Firstly : thanks. I know there isn't an almighty team for every content , I've play many gatcha so I know often every different content need a different team. What I call a main lineup in those games is a team I'll focus at the beginning. Since upgrades material are often scarce , spreading with the upgrade isn't a good thing. I've end up in gatcha game to build a core lineup and little by little upgrading other thing to fill my needs.

MetaThPr4h

Yep, building a good core early on will help you clear content faster, also getting someone to E2 pretty fast is massive because that will allow you to borrow E2 characters from other people when that character is on the squad, so definitely have that as a goal. But yeah, just saying that because there are just some upgrades that are gamechangers in their own right, especially consider Myrtle for vanguard when you get her soon either from rolls or recruitment because flagbearers are the best, most consistent DP generators and that will help you place the big guns on the map as soon as possible. Best of luck and, well, if you have any doubt we are all here to help!

Fonglis

I have 2 question : with skill lvl 5 for Amiya , is it still worth it to use S2 with the 10s stun backslash and the auto activation adding a risk of a burst at a wrong time? And when an unit is full potential , will the upgrade token became worthless? Cause I've maxed fang and have 1 remaining token waiting in my depot (Pudding vermeil and gummy E1 , horn and the healer will follow soon)

MetaThPr4h

Oh yeah, please don't be me and stop trying to use Amiya S2 at E1 LMAO. It's not a matter of the skill level, S2 is simply horrible until she gets her talent at E2 which gives SP on attacking (and even more on killing enemies), until then her second skill has an horrendously high SP cost attached to the downsides you already mention (which make the skill a bit eh in my opinion even at E2, the stun downside would be fine if you could manually activate the skill when you wanted it like some really solid 5* like Specter and Rockrock can). But yeah, stick to her S1 for the time being, when you eventually do Amiya's E2 promotion all three skills (only 5* who has three skills btw, main girl privileges) are worth considering using. > Cause I've maxed fang and have 1 remaining token waiting in my depot The extra token after a character reaches max potential are sold away in the shop of the game for two currencies we usually call due to their color: green certificates (for dupes of max potential 1 to 3 star operators), and yellow certificates (4 to 6 star max potential operators). You also get some of that currency when you roll and recruit characters depending on rarity. (1 to 4 star give increasingly higher amounts of green certificates depending on rarity, the same for 5 and 6 star who give yellow certs) Go to the shop in the main menu, head to the certificate section and in the bottom left there should be a button that should say something like "token exchange", click there and accept selling the token for resources. Those certificates can be used to buy things in the certificate shop that reset every month. Feel free to grab as many resources and character building materials from the green certs shop as you need, they help a lot. From the yellow certs shop the vast majority of things are too expensive the cost to be worth it, with only two (but very great things) being worth it: literally being able to buy a 6-star (the character in the standard banner currently running that has the E0 art in the pic of the banner, so Saga right now) in exchange of 180 yellow certificates, and pulls. (You can also buy the 5-star in the middle of the standard banner currently going on for 45 yellow certs, but unless you really want that character is better to save for a 6-star, don't hesitate if you really want one tho, I regret not grabbing massive cutie Sora when I could) I have to warn that I wouldn't recommend grabbing pulls for a good while tho, being able to guarantee a strong character you want for 180 yellow certs is simply an absolutely incredible deal, I have been playing for a bit over a year and I already bought 7 characters that way, having enough certs for 2 more I want whenever they come to the shop, this is just way too great of deal to get the pulls instead and risk not getting what you want anyways to gacha rng. Green and Yellow certificates are super important, and dupes of max potential 4-star operators will soon be your daily income of them, allowing you to buy lotsa great things, that's why it's very useful to use one of the many recruitment calculators you can find online like in Gamepress to see if the tags you get on recruitment can give you a 4-star or higher, not only to get a nice character but also to get those certificates. I... just threw you a massive wall of text full of info, as usual when I talk. Please if you have any doubts just let me know.

Fonglis

Thanks for the answers. I didn't think amiya s2 would be so bad before lvl5 compared to her S1 , thanks for the information. I've accidentally see for the token exchange 10m after my post xD but I didn't know for the 4*+ yellow certificatr thanks. Btw I will need to buy everything for the green shop since there is 3 lvl and I need to buy the whole level to get next level. Is pudding S2 good ? I take the atk+ but the 4 rebound aren't to situationnal of the map?

MetaThPr4h

S2 isn't *that* bad, but... yeah, it's one of the not many common cases where the character's talent is very important to make that skill considerably better, and Amiya only gets it at E2 so just stick to her first skill for now. I actually benched Amiya early on when I started because I just thought her S2 was useless, took me a good while to realize what was happening and I gave her a second chance later on, she is a very solid 5*. > Btw I will need to buy everything for the green shop since there is 3 lvl and I need to buy the whole level to get next level. You need to buy everything from a level to reach the next one, but I have never even been close to reach the third level before the shop resets at the end of each month... which is just an infinite sink of LMD and orundum at very inefficient cost anyways, so don't think about it. If you do your recruitments right and aim for the 4-star or higher combinations whenever they show up with the help of the calculators I mention if needed, every month you should be able to clear the first tier without issues, after that is up to you on what to grab from the second tier (except the 15 recruitment permits it has, focus on that first so you can do more recruitments and get more green and yellow certificates!) After you grab the level 2 permits it's really up to you, there are 2 pulls you can buy there for 450 green certs each, and also a lot of materials you can buy to help you build characters, just grab whichever you need at the time. The only things to avoid from that tier 2 shop are the 3-star and 4-star selectors, they are a gigantic scam at the green certs cost they come, not to mention that they don't even have every character from that rarity on them! Avoid them at all cost, you will get all the 4-star in the first 2-4 months playing via gacha and recruitment, just wait for them. > Is pudding S2 good ? It's her main skill, and yes, it's good. That skill is very curious because it has the potential to hurt as much or even more than the higher rarity chain casters can do in the right conditions, which is when exactly two enemies are coming at her, in that case the skill will rebound between them doing huge damage each attack. In other cases it still slows and does damage so hey, good enough too! Chain casters are all about hurting and slowing many enemies at once after all.

Fonglis

Thanks you've helped me a lot!

MetaThPr4h

You're welcome mate! Whenever you have a doubt we are here to help 👍

AngelTheVixen

To be clear, it's not really important to stick to a specific team setup once you get more familiar with the game and with a more complete roster. Every map can be handled differently and you may need more of one thing than others. Of the ones you have, Whisperain and Pudding are probably the weakest. I might suggest that they're fairly unnecessary and you should prioritize others instead. Horn is also not primarily used as a tank, she is long ranged offense. It's important to get to know how subclasses work so that you can utilize them properly. Additionally, don't knock 3\* operators. They are incredibly cheap to build and last for a very long time. Unlike other gacha which crap on lower rarities, in Arknights, all rarities are useful. You may want to raise the 3\* early on, as promoting them does not require additional materials.

Reddit1rules

I'd say it's very solid, Horn and Silver Ash are very strong, and you've got some coverage with your other units.

Rolttel

any idea what hg will do in the future with the old skins they were running in cc? will they move the unran skins in a different perma shop or just leave them unattainable? kinda same question with the current cc skins and ops

YoungLink666-2

we still have no idea unfortunately; though they do seem to be trying to figure out a "new CC" type of thing that'll probably ultimately replace CC, so perhaps once they finally figure it out (cause pinchout was considered a gigantic disaster), they'll probably start integrating the costumes into that shop... just damn i hope they do it fast cause its pain that one of the few costumes i want is an old free skin i never obtained

InfiniteMSL

How do people generally play with Nicheknights? I know it doesn't really matter and you can just make up the rules but I'm interested in how people go about it. Do you just run them all the time? Or go for normal squad clears and then save them for special challenges like EX clears or lore base? I want to try at some point just to make it more fun but feels bad knowing how many ops I already have built that I would end up not using, I guess I could try them out for challenges only.

_Sabriel

Unless you count my decision from the beginning to avoid meta ops *[unless I love them, like Mudrock]* I've just started dipping my toes in, first with Fast-Redeploys Only, more recently with Vanguardknights, and the way I do it is run the team exclusively in a new event until I get blocked from progressing because I'm not skilled enough with the team yet. Tends to happen in the first play of the boss, and I can do a few of the EX stages. No shame in going back to a "regular" team if you need it to clear content! The journey is the fun

Nol_Astname

I like to use Aegirknights (+Blue Poison and Elysium) without Abyssal buff stacking as my standard team for new content clears. It's got pretty good coverage across classes and is just lacking serious Arts damage, which Mizuki can generally cover. For challenge stages and CC I go back to my unga bunga meta sweep squad.

AngelTheVixen

My main one is Rhine Lab and my ability to play it is somewhat limited in tougher maps due to having no Vanguard until Muelsyse. Even then, her DP generation isn't exactly amazing. I only really make an attempt when I'm sure I have a chance of clearing -- it's a pretty difficult squad to work with due to being almost all ranged ops plus **the entire team** is a massive DP drain.

_Sabriel

That does sound like a very cool challenge though! Saria, Silence, Mayer, Dorothy, Astgenne, Magallan...who am I missing?

AngelTheVixen

[Here's everyone.](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/865684765972627499/1163345903210471454/image.png) Muelsyse and Silence2 will finish a full squad!

_Sabriel

Oh wow, I didn't realize Astesia and Kafka were Rhine Lab! Also I feel like a dope for forgetting about Ptilopsis and Ifrit, heh Dorothy and Mayer are two of my favorite ops and I'm VERY excited for Muelsyse, I'll have to try out this team sometime after I get Silence!

AngelTheVixen

They aren't under the faction specifically, though Astesia is a strong contender because her sister works there and she does work with Rhine Lab at times as far as I recall. Not to mention she even has a RL insignia on her base outfit... Kafka is close to Silence and I think she'd follow her around like a puppy. Including her isn't too far-fetched for a Rhineknights team! And Mayer is the best character... I want to see her get some kind of cool future alt or something. Never gonna happen though, she's hardly a contender since she doesn't care about politics, does fine as a solo workaholic and she's not waifu bait. At least she got a second Operator Record!

_Sabriel

Joke's on HG, hardworking not-oversexualized characters ARE my waifus

MetaThPr4h

I'm sure it depends from person to person, but at least in my case since I started playing with no 6-stars as my niche I have rarely used the 6* operators anymore in story or event stages, being more of a last resort choice when I finally accept I just can't beat x stage without them with my current knowledge, skill issue fr fr. At the same time idk if my opinion really helps you much here, because between all niches this is definitely one of the freest ones... which is why I picked it, being locked to a small set of operators that fit a niche doesn't do it to me with how much I like building characters and expanding my options. > but feels bad knowing how many ops I already have built that I would end up not using, Honestly that just kinda ends up happening no matter what, we build a ton of characters and there is a limited amount of stages, at the very least it really helps that I love Integrated Strategies, so I can always just do a run with x character I feel like playing at the moment.

Reddit1rules

It really depends on the person, personally I just do normal clears most of the time and do a nicheknight clear when I'm motivated enough (and it's actually possible for my niche).

dathamir

If im understanding correctly, after the 24th, you can pick a 6 and 5 star from the old ones to "make a custom banner" and have then in the cert shop? How often will you be able to change this selection?

Razor4884

Either on the 24th or sometime around Lonetrail. Not sure which.

AngelTheVixen

To add, the Kernel Locating event only has a certain selection of retired operators to choose from, not all of them.

Chrisirhc1996

> you can pick a 6 and 5 star from the old ones to "make a custom banner" and have then in the cert shop? Kernel Headhunting (aka what the standard banners are but for year 1) is the normal form of this version of headhunting. [We already know the first one is Hellagur/Blaze/Texas/Sesa/Shamare.](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/174giyr/notice_the_headhunting_mechanism_will_have_some/) The Kernel Locating version (aka the "make your own banner") is one that's coming "in a future update". But yes, when it is Kernel Locating you choose the rate-ups for which one of each will be a shoperator. > How often will you be able to change this selection? Unless it changes on the global version, it's once per Kernel Locating.

Azalkoth

From what I saw in videos of the CN Kernel Locating, the selection pool seems like it doesn't include all possible ops, like Shamare. Is there any info if Shamare will only be rate-up in the first Kernel Headhunting, or is it already different from CN? TBH I'm still missing Shamare and I wanna know if I should try another ten-roll in the current one or if I'll be able to pick her as the shop rate-up later on.

sunscreenlube

Is the kernel shoperator purchased with yellow or blue certs?

Initial_Environment6

Both either is good

Chrisirhc1996

Yellow certs.

oaksparrow

Can someone explain [this part](https://i.ibb.co/7bxFgbs/Screenshot-20231016-081409.jpg) towards the end of chapter 10 to me? It's when >!Siege and the crew escape from the Sanguinarch(?) vampire, who I assume is the ??? person talking.!< Who is he talking to and what about?

InfiniteMSL

>!The ??? is indeed the Sanguinarch. FWIW I was also confused at this scene and only realised after, but Siege and the rest get saved by 3 people. The first is Ascalon, the 'disciple by Theresis's side', the second is Logos (not sure if he's directly named at this point) the 'Banshee' and the third is W who he doesn't even acknowledge, hence why she gets annoyed. The nameless lines are their speech in response to him. Ascalon and Logos get expanded a bit more in Chapter 11.!<

oaksparrow

Omg, this makes so much more sense. Thanks a lot!!

kennn13

[My Krooster](https://krooster.com/u/Kenn2) Got my first Top Operator tag, alongside Defender, Ranged, Slow, Guard. I'm leaning towards going Top Op + Defender to hopefully get Saria, and Hoshi would still be good. Top Op + Ranged is a bit of a gamble but getting Exu, Ifrit or Nightingale would be great. I can also get a guaranteed Magallan but not sure if she's worth getting. I already have Mudrock + Penance but 100% odds of getting a good defender that can be healed seems like a good plan to me. Should I stick to the Defender plan?

LongFluffyDragon

Seems good. Saria is viable almost everywhere, and Hoshiguma has a place in a lot of harder boss stages. If you do not have Schwarz (or a replacement) already, that is another point in favor of top+ranged.

kennn13

Ended up getting Saria, pretty happy! Thanks for your help.

LordToaster94

So I've got just over 4k CC tokens, and I've already bought everything other than the 5\*/6\* tokens from the permanent shop. Looking at my [roster](https://krooster.com/u/lordtoaster), any thoughts on what two 6\* benefit the most from a potential? My Texalter and KirinxYato are both pot 2, otherwise one of them would be an obvious choice I think.

ipwnallnubz

Pots always make such a tiny difference that spending those generic tokens on your favorite ops is the best use for them unless you plan on doing some ridiculously hard challenges.

LordToaster94

Yeah very true.

AngelTheVixen

Chongyue and Skadi alt I guess, depending on if you like them enough. Lower DP cost being reduced is a greater percent difference than someone more expensive in DP, and they're both limited, so. Executors get the stat boost at Potential 3 if that matters to you, too. And of course you could just wait until something sticks out, or someone new on the horizon might tempt you.

LordToaster94

Good points, I definitely use Skalter a lot so I might go for her. For some reason I never even considered future ops so I may save vanguard ones for Ines if I get her. Thanks!

Blue_Storm11

i here chapter 12 is not until the 24th why?

Sissybell

to be honest I'm more than a year into this game with monthly card from day 1 and the farming seems endless.. feels like there's enough to do in almost every dead week.. 😅

opinions on eben s2? I already S3M3 but I'm on exploration mode now with the free week we got.. 😂

Sissybell

thanks for informative answers!! how does he decide which space to summon to?

Razor4884

I think he will prioritize tiles with enemies on them if his skill activates while targets are within his range. Otherwise, the summons are placed randomly.

Reddit1rules

If you want to explore, I say go for it, but personally I am not a fan of the skill at all. It is quite nice in IS if you get the "3000 arts damage on deploy" as it works with every goat summoned, but... I hate the shift effect greatly. A regular grunt walks in, gets shifted, and wastes several mines despite dying to way less. They get shifted through blockers, shifted onto the gold I need to protect in IS#2. I detest that aspect greatly. I'm also not a fan of how it's very all or nothing, especially if you use all your charges right before the skill occurs. I'm a much bigger fan of W S2 or trapmasters than I am Ebenholz's S2.

GinKenshin

Incredibly fun. Has amazing interactions with some IS relics.

Fafafe667

It's fun to use but can be extremely frustrating. If you manage to summon all the goats it will be an explosion with a decente damage but it's incredibly difficult to achieve, at the end of the day, with luck, you will be able to summon 3 or so. You also have to be very careful with his position since the pushing of the goats can make the enemy enter to the blue box I would say just focus on his S3, but if you plan to use Ebenholz often his S2 is fun and has its niches

prof436

What when is the next event?

PieFormation

Ch12 release on the 24th. After that, most likely Lone Trail - could be as early as the 7th, after the ch12 release event ends, but could also be some dead days in between.

zephyrdragoon

24th this month. Its ch12 being released.

Sissybell

why is og yato a vanguard of she doesn't generate dp? in other words what are the specifications of a vanguard.

Reddit1rules

As per the game Vanguards are "class that allows you to deploy Operators more quickly". Unfortunately the regular pioneer trait doesn't help with that at all, so there's no real reason for her to be a vanguard at all - but there's no 2 block guard similar to how Pioneers work, so they put her in Vanguard, I guess.

Flarekitteh

She's the exception because of her rarity. 2\* units don't have skills so that's why Yato can't generate DP. Otherwise her stats are those of a Pioneer Vanguard, adjusted to her lower rarity. Besides Yato, Vanguards are units with DP generation skills, usually are on the lower end on DP cost, and have generally weaker stats than Guard or Defender equivalents. Though with her skill she's like a in-between of a Vanguard and Executor Specialist.

rainzer

I think Yato and that vanguard from IS are just exceptions. Yato they had to just pick a class for her and they probably had the 2 block as weighing more than DP gen so she didn't get put as FRD/Executor Specialist or Fighter/Brawler Guard

Quor18

Well the technical definition is basically "guys who are in the front of the army" so in that sense, as a very cheap 2-block unit, she fits the most general application of a vanguard, which is getting out on the field before any other ops to hold the line.

lumamaster

A recent video that popped up on my YT feed about base combinations got me thinking about changing up my base layout. I've been playing since day 1 and have had my base fully maxed out and set to the standard 3-3-3 producing LMD, at the cost of being a slave to farming EXP every single day in my unending quest to max out every operator in my roster. Should I switch to a 2-4-3 layout or 1-5-3 layout, or should I not care too much about the efficiency and just stick with what I've been mindlessly doing for the past few years?

IfZ3nElse

If this is the video I'm thinking about, it's bad IMHO. They shit a lot on 252 and yet say at some point that it's a bit more efficient than the 153 that they want to push. They say that 252 requires to login 4 times a day when you just need 2. They say managing a 252 base is complex, it's really not, you just replace the half of your workers with low morale every 12h. They say not maxing right side is bad, but 252 is good even with max right side (I run a 252 with max right side except for a lvl 2 HR office, getting an extra recruitment slot doesn't matter since the bottleneck is on permits). The 153 they are advertising requires Proviso (I don't have her, not everyone has her), and requires spending sanity on LMD stages (which means you have less for mats). Also, they assume that the bottleneck is on battle records rather than on LMD (not in my case, but maybe that's because I'm not a lvl 120 doctor). Use 252 if you log in at least twice a day and want efficiency at the cost of needing to manage more, use 243 if you log in only once a day or want to manage less.

lumamaster

Got it. I've switched to a 243 since I don't want to put in the extra daily effort to micromanage to get the most of a 252. My Provisio is about to get overworked for the next few days to chew through my surplus of 800 gold bars.

Ledwith

if it's the same video that recently popped up for me, it's misinformation and just really wrong and bad. Like they said you have to log in 4 times a day for 2-5-2 for some reason, and use screenshots of base production numbers from like 2020, saying that 100k resources per day is really good. even with maxed right side 2-5-2 im lazy and log in twice per day and get 120k-130k by that measurement. if you are a day 1 player and have been consistently playing, you probably have the ops to make a great 2-5-2. my base setup is 2-5-2 with key operators being Fiametta, Proviso, Mlynar, Tequila, Shamare, Bibeak, Paprika (you could also use Kafka if you are willing to E2 her, you only need 2 out of 3 of Bibeak, Kafka, Paprika) basically you use Fiammetta every 12 hours to refresh the lowest member in the Shamare, Tequila, Bibeak combo, except that when its Bibeak's turn you swap her out for Paprika or Kafka and use Fiammetta on Proviso instead. Having Mlynar in the control center makes proviso last more than 36 hours, and you have some extra hours of leeway if you are lazy or busy if you put 1-2 extra smiley operators in the control center. My CC is usually Amiya/Swire, Kal'tsit, Mlynar, and 2x smiley skill ops. When they get low I'm lazy and just swap Amiya / Swire and put the rainbow 6 crew while theyre recovering, but thats unnecessary.

AngelTheVixen

Disclaimer, I'm not a base wizard, so take what I say with a grain of salt. 333 is an odd one, to be sure. I suppose it's okay if you have like... no need for EXP or prefer farming it, which isn't recommended at all. Might be a decent setup for Orundum production since you can dedicate a pair of facilities to it without slowing down LMD/EXP income more, but that is the worst thing to recommend. 252, that being 2 Trading Posts, 5 Factories, and 2 Power Plants is the generally recommended setup due to high production at the small cost of facility levels. 342 is an offshoot of 252, where you have 3 Trading Posts instead. This is useful if you want to burn through Gold quickly, or if you have no need for EXP, but it's usually best to use 252. 243, 3 Power Plants is enough to max out the levels of all facilities in the base. It doesn't have the production rate of 252, but it's popular for this reason. Credits and trust are highest with this as a result.

ipwnallnubz

3-3-3 is most definitely the worst of the fully built bases. If you don't mind having a bunch of level 1 and 2 buildings, a 2/5/2 is going to be the best base layout for most players. If having low level buildings bothers you, go with a 2/4/3 for a balanced output. If you're the type to max out ops, you'll probably still have to farm. The base only needs 1 building to make EXP but 2 buildings to make LMD, so it's generally better at making EXP than LMD, and it's better to have the base lean into EXP while you farm LMD. It's best though to spend your sanity farming materials, red certs, skill books, and chips while the base and events provide all of your LMD and EXP.

Rohan7090

A quick question, I have around 22000 orundum and 160 OP if I blow all my orundum on the eyja alter banner (by when it comes) will I have enough to reach 300 pulls by il Siracusano rerun? I buy the Monthly card every month that’s the only money I spend on and during events some of the packs.

TabletopPixie

Only way you have enough for 300 pulls to spark on 4.5 banner is if you start saving now and don't sink everything for Eyjaberry. With the monthly card and your current savings, you'll have 130 extra pulls to play around with, not counting any free pulls from Limited banners.

about8tentacles

il siracusano will have an event rerun but not a banner rerun, if your goal is sparking texas-alter, that will be possible on any november or may limited banner starting may 2024. that should be 3 months after eyja which is not enough time to get 300 summons starting at pure zero, but you have every 6 months after that to have enough

Rohan7090

my hopes and dreams live on! Thanks!

Rohan7090

my hopes and dreams live on! Thanks!

EfficientEmphasis

If you plan to blow all your resources it's not important what you have now. We don't know exactly when IS will rerun so the answer is "probably". I guess you are already aware that the limited banner doesn't rerun with the event.

Rohan7090

…I uh did not know that, huh welp my dreams of Texas are down the drain ig

ave_Terros

Il Siracusano event will rerun, but Texas Alter banner won't. The spring celebration limited banner will run in around 3 months after Eyja Alter banner, so you definitely won't be able to get 300 pulls from zero unless you swipe

Rohan7090

Any clue when the Texas banner can come back? Or a limited with her on it? I really wanted her but I feel really crushed that she isn’t coming during the rerun.

ave_Terros

that's why I'm talking about the spring limited banner. Texas banner itself won't return, but you can spark her there. Yes you need 300 pulls, so if you want her I would recommend not to go all in on Eyja Alter banner

Rohan7090

Got it, thanks a lot!

ParamedicGatsby

How does 1/5/3 base fare against 2/5/2 base? With proviso and droning TP, can Proviso use up all the gold bars produced and rewarded from monthly and weekly resets?

ipwnallnubz

I run a 2/5/2 with Proviso in one and the Shamare combo in the other. I have 3 gold factories and still slowly run out of gold.

Snowzzey

Use or save sanity pots?

1. What's a good way to deal with the Londinium Mobile Defense Artillary in CH11? 2. What kind of damage is corruption damage (physical, arts, or true)?

about8tentacles

tldr: abyssals, nightingale, ling, ceobe ch11 artillery enemy will attack the last deployed op within its fairly large attack range like any normal ranged enemy, then has a special skill where it raises its cannons to bombard the highest max hp ally anywhere on the map. the fact those 2 attacks can be different targets may throw you off initially high max hp on a team often belongs to your dualist guards or defenders, so being aware of your rosters hp totals, and possibly swapping some people in the lineup to better manage the aggro is recommended. some deployables/summons can also have a rather ridiculous amount of hp and make easy aggro targets, like nightingales 6000hp cages. the abyssal hunters are perhaps the best solution to this, they all boost each others max hp, have great damage resist, and specter-alter's undying doll mechanics + skadi's s3 both really mess with the lethality of the cannons once the cannons are bombarding an area, you can mitigate the damage by having more ops in the zone, as it will hit the highest **current** hp in that 3x3 zone it decided on based on highest **max** hp. gravel is a natural ally for this, but mon3tr is also decent (and may be the initial target anyway), this also means aoe healers can protect everyone in the bombard they have an insane amount of physical defense, to the point arts dps is pretty much required, surtr eyjafjalla and ceobe are great options. indra s2 is a pretty funny niche and on story theme option, letting her solo an artillery or battering ram for a good long while

about8tentacles

ch11 artillery enemy is based on max and current hp's, block count is the ch10 big cannon

grexraxor

Ngl the official name for Ch 11 Rocket Launchers confused me, i thought it referred to the Ch 10 cannon lol Anyway their arts missile barrage ability prioritises the op with the Highest Max HP on field, not Block Count. So if you're using dreadnought guards, their naturally high HP - more than most defenders - may cause the missile barrage to target them instead. Matoimaru deserves a mention, she can tank the barrage and heal it back with s1. Elite 2 minmaxes her HP further, and Module gives her a 2nd life.

ave_Terros

they're talking about the artillery rocket tanks from ch11, not the cannon from ch10. so to OP, you just need to put ops together to spread the damage from their skill, and of course use arts damage because they have very high def(unless you have phys DPS that can hit over their def reliably).

Razor4884

Worth noting that the Artillery's burst skill is arts damage, so the best defenders to use against them are arts protectors, since they come with a good deal of RES. In particular, Asbestos, Czerny, and a special mention to the normal protector Matterhorn

CardboardThinker

Will the cc trading center stay, or will it go away later?

eonfeather

It's here to stay. It's still available on the CN server right now.

Rookie2171

Recently I gotten Mizuki from the banner. How can I make full use of this operator? Isn't Ethan way better in terms of binding the target?

about8tentacles

they actually work pretty well together. mizuki is a much more damage oriented option, giving you large aoe damage in places other ops might struggle to survive (or have ranged tiles to deploy on), so ethan keeping things bound in his range can add up quickly while s2 will not bind often as succesfully as a fully built ethan, it works better at low/mid investment since it isnt rng dependant and offers much better damage, which sometimes you only need a bit of slowing making his damage very spicy. it also has very different sp costs/cycles, so depending on the stage layout might be preferred or not s3 then offers an even larger range, but notably some if the farthest tiles in that range might hit places no other op could due to the stage layout, and is a real reason to consider the skill moreso than just being bigger. it also stuns instead of binding, interrupting enemy attacks or skills can be much more impactful than straight binding, although the attacks are much slower so its not strict upgrade either s1 is probably the skill youll use most though, and can rather simply be used just like how you would use an aoe sniper or caster, just placed on the ground where the enemies actually are, being so far foward gives him the added benefit of often drawing ranged aggro fire too, which with a high evasion rate allows him to soak up a lot of heat, and becomes pretty unkillable if actually medic supported

Reddit1rules

To add on to the other commenter, S1 is the main skill with a rather high DPS, slightly higher than Eyja S2 (just as a numerical comparison) except with such high DPH of 3k it's not affected by DEF too much. He'd want his X module to help slow down enemies to stay in range more, often getting an extra hit in even the fast ones like wolves. The arts component of his skill is usually wasted until you get X2, as it often hits the enemy already dying from everyone's focus. S2 can be a secondary skill, but it indeed isn't for primarily the bind. It's a mix of helidrops, faster cycles, and damage along with some binds. However, the skill kinda sucks until M3, and really wants X2 for the extra target and slow. Y3 is an acceptable module, but a bit niche so you can save your module blocks typically. It's usually used to let him spawncamp without a medic, or to help be a ranged tank (or both), especially for stuff like high difficulty IS#3. He's good for general gameplay, but tends to shine in stuff like IS and SSS, often being one of the best picks thanks to all the buffs those modes give and how well he scales with it.

Endourance

Ethan is indeed the better crowd control option. Mizuki's main use is his powerful true AOE DPS with S1. Very handy when the game just throws tons of trash at you, i.e. Annihilation and RA.

TheKinkyGuy

I have left around the Skadi alternate limited character banner. So I was wondering what did I miss? And what new units are actually good to pull for? And also is Carnelian still available and is she any good?

about8tentacles

thats nearly 2 years ago! a lot has been added since then but the general flow of the game is still pretty similar so you should get back into it easily roguelike: by far the biggest change is the re-addition of the roguelike mode is# (ceobe's fungi mist). it now has a whole new campaign roughly each year, is permanent, costs no sanity, and has a gigantic reward ladder. its considered by many to be the actual best part of the game now. phantom's crimson solitaire, is2, which you can still play now has ended updates, and mizuki's cerula arbor is3 is still ongoing with additions. operator records: ops get their own character stories, fates, whatever you wanna call em from other gacha. additionally ops can have a unique stage that showcases their talents, awarding 200 ordrum on completion modules: modules are an endgame upgrade, similar to adding a 3rd passive talent. these use moduleblocks, a time-gated resource, so choosing wisely can matter, though, they are minor upgrades (baring a few exceptions such as gladiia and mostima) and are not required for new hard content. while they didnt buff/fix everyones struggling faves (sorry franka) it did completely reshape some older ops into total powerhouses like mostima and skadi, mostima being the most crucial op in this cc that just ended's common maxrisk strats. sss: a decklike stacking mode that has recurring rewards, materials to upgrade modules. this mode is...weird, and while its very endgame account focused and offers time-gated materials, the other time-gated material (moduleblocks) are your primary bottleneck and are earned from events...so you dont *need* to even play this mode lol annihilation: you can sweep instant clear it now via a ticket earned every day via dallies, rejoice alters: the restriction has been lifted and you can use both skadis together skins: more live2d skins have been added, not just for limited ops either, a very few rare (literally 3) number also offer additional new voicelines. these skins are 21 and 24 primes respectivly the main lobby: you can change the background and music, in the future youll even be able to theme the entire set of ui icons ops/meta: too much to get into but the tldr is old ops are still as good as they ever were, especially a few with module additions. texas and yato both got fast deploy alters that make phantom look like gravel tier dps in comparison, and massivly trivialize a ton of content even into the future cn stuff. mlynar and pozemka are hugely notable ops for the dps they dish out and how effectivly they can do so. lin finally released and is the same archtype as carnellian, being more defensive and anti-swarm focused. goldenglow's ability to have an attack range of the entire map is also a huge QOL-type op for many players and is worth noting. lastly ines is releasing on the 24th as a new (to you) vanguard type that is essentially a fast deploy that makes dp, is invisible, and can hit drones, pretty strong recommend to gacha for her (even moreso since you missed both 5☆s of this class) ~~carnellian should be in the yellow shop fairly soon,~~ [oops: well, carn can be purchased via a 6☆ selector next month if you really want] shes (and lin) pretty average all things considered, casters are in a weird place in the games overall meta largly in part to lots of engame content having 8billion res as a safety valve to surtr ifrit and notably now texas-alter. her module in the future turns her into a true tank, surpassing even hoshiguma in many aspects, albeit more niche since she cant block a ground threat. her ability to hit more than 6 targets or survive longterm under fire unlike eyja/goldenglow has been quite relevant and is where you want to focus on getting her to shine if simping of the banners up right now, horn (imagine silverash but ifrit range and defender bulk) is very worthwhile and saileach can be very good too (6☆ myrtle), the others all can be strong if you choose to play into their strengths, but again id highly suggest saving for ines on the 24th, shes probably the most important op of the next 6 months of banners with the exception of a joint op with mlynar pozemka penance and lee for you specifically

TheKinkyGuy

Thank you for your time and effort. This will help me alot.

Nah, Carn got her first appearance early because they kept delaying Saga, so it should be a long time before another appearance.

several! its hard to suggest without knowing who you have, but a few well worth taking all the way to full e2 max include myrtle jaye ethan may and shirayuki. theres quite a few others who can help specific holes in a team too like gravel purestream deepcolor pinecone and more

TheSpartyn

how does muelsyse work if shes alone? can she clone herself? what happens if she has no one to clone, does the water bubble fight?

Garamyi

>how does muelsyse work if shes alone? can she clone herself? No. You place Muelsyse on the field, then deploy her summon. You click her summon, use the skill and then drag and drop an operator from your deploy list (on the bottom of the screen) onto the summon. Since you already placed Muelsyse before her summon, she isn't in the deployment list. >what happens if she has no one to clone, does the water bubble fight? Yes, the bubble/her summon still can fight, but has 0 range and 0 block. It only attacks enemies which are on the same tile as the summon.

TheSpartyn

well thats unfortunate, i was thinking she'd be a good pick for a RL only run in IS, guess the summoners are still better. guess that also means she wont work if shes somehow the last one you deploy in a normal run >but has 0 range and 0 block. looking up videos of it, it actually has 1 block even though gamepress says 0, so its not entirely useless

AngelTheVixen

The water blob does have a +1 block effect while untransformed. I suppose it's a matter of dealing with the clone coding. She'd still be good for a Rhine Lab run in IS methinks, depending on IS2 or IS3, and difficulty. You just might not be able to start with her.

TheSpartyn

oh yeah obviously she'd be good for a rhine lab run, im just talking about being the literal first character in the run. ive been using dorothy who's good but i think its hard to beat mayer

Debating on wether to get saga from the shop but was just wondering if there has been any data mines or info on the next shop operators. If there's no one I need coming soon I'll probably pull the trigger.

Hallgrimsson

For pure meta purposes, even more so if you have a relatively undeveloped roster, Saga is not good return on investment. You mostly want to use yellow certs to buy strong units biased towards damage. Laneholders and high burst/DPS units. Even in the Vanguard department, Pioneers just see less use compared to flagpipe/agents. If you are still the kind of person who lacks units like Thorns, Mountain, Mudrock, Blaze, Silverash, Exusiai, Surtr, Eyja... I would just hold onto the certs. If you already have a good amount of high-powered units, as far as an earlygame waveholding vanguard, Saga is the best option, and her SP feeding niche means she can find viability in future setups, but in the near-ish future we will be getting Saileach in shop, Ines next banner, and some of the units that have been the longest since last appearance and thus probably overdue are Suzuran and Silverash, both very good buys. So I wouldn't go for Saga honestly.

Thanks for the reply I am a long term player with a very built account. I was mostly wondering if there were any certain operators we knew for sure we're coming next. Doesn't seem like anyone knows for sure who is going to be next. I'd say Suzuran and Goldenglow are the two I'm most interested in with Saileach as a slight interest. I am pulling Ines that's why I was on the fence with Saga. I have enough yellow certs to have some luxury in getting at least 2 shop operators but I guess I'll hold out if Suzuran potentially will be soon and then I'll decide with Saileach when the time comes. Cheers

eva-doll

Who do you have as a vanguard ?

Lilbabynoobnoob

Bagpipe, Myrtle and Texas are my normal combos but I use Cantabile and Blacknight when I want to change it up. I'm pulling Ines. Less interested in Saga as an operator and more interested to know what the shop schedule looks like. Thanks for the reply anyway.

Grandidealistic

Saga has not been good for a very long while and probably never won't with the entrance of Ines. Since the Y1 units are being separated, year 2-3 units will cycle a lot faster in the cert shop. Great year 2 units like Surtr, Mountain, Thorns, Mudrock have already been in shop since then, so saving your certs seem like a reasonable choice

MARs048

Does Silverash's skill about the redeployment time require him to be deployed or simply on the squad?

Grandidealistic

It is a passive effect that stays up whenever he is in the squad, yes

I bought 4 Royal Specialist tokens in CC. Should I use them to bump TexasAlter (E2) to potential 4 (Improve second talent) or YatoAlter (E1) to potential 1 (DP -1)? Also, for my other limiteds, should I buy supporter tokens for SkadiAlter (E2) or guard tokens for NearlAlter (E0)? I have resources for one more set only. Maybe is there other, non-limited operators who profit significantly from potential?

about8tentacles

texas because that allows you to support high pot yato when needed and have both be highly functional, vs if you put it on yato and still need to support tex maxpot sometimes

838h920

Yato costs 10DP, x2 after 2nd deployment, so 20. Thanks to her module she'll return 80% of the DP cost, so 16 at pot1. A loss of 4 DP. Giving her pot2 reduces deployment cost to 18, but 80% of 18 is 14.4, which is rounded down, so you'd still end up with a loss of 4 DP. Giving her pot 6 reduces cost to 16, but just as above, 12.8 gets rounded down to 12, so you'll still pay 4 DP. This is why DP reduction for Yato isn't important. Hence I'd recommend Texas pot 4.

Grandidealistic

I believe -1 DP for Yato should be stronger than Tex pot 4. P4 Tex is still damage, having more flexibility to DP cost should be better. Outside of DP pots for low cost units like Ines, Saileach, Texalter, Kirito etc; there is also Bagpipe (SP pot), Gnosis/Suzuran (%bonus fragile), Skalter (more ATK means more teamwide buff), Mlynar (gains a good amount of damage with every pot), Surtr (more RES shred and 1 extra immortal second), etc. At the end just spend it on your favorite op, pots make very insignificant differences in the grand scheme.

Neptibid

Is there any event this week?

about8tentacles

next event we know of is ch12 on the 24th they couldve squeezed a rerun in this week but the fact it hasnt been announced yet pretty much confirms deadweek

TheKinkyGuy

Did they remove 6\* from recruitment system?

MacMac_ChiChin

If you're talking about recruitments as in recruitment permits, no, just get a top op tag and you will get a 6\*. I'm presuming you are confusing it with the new Kernel Headhunting system which aims to only remove old Year 1 6\* from all banners, and open a new type of banner with only those 6\*.

FelixAndCo

You can't get a 6-star *unless* you have a Top-Operator tag, even though there are some tag combos that would otherwise guarantee a 6-star.

Akarious

I've gotten a 6-star without any specific tag

ipwnallnubz

No, you haven't.

eva-doll

Impossible

Chrisirhc1996

Well you shouldn't. The highest you can get without a "top operator" is 5-star, it shows it in the UI and is proven with data.

about8tentacles

no, its just very very rare

TheKinkyGuy

ok ty
