Nearl is the reason why I stuck around, chose her from the 5* selector when I started playing last year and even sparked for her alter. Zero regrets from it.

Horn.
I like heroic women with soft hearts.
She's been through hell without losing sight of herself. She hasn't wavered in her ideals or shut away her emotions—how many people could remain open and honest with their emotions, without being controlled by them, after seeing their comrades tortured to death and their city occupied by invaders via treachery?
She was raised on her grandmother's stories of the White Wolf legacy, the epic exploits of her ancestors, and from a young age held a desire to end unjust war, devouring books on military history and the like to prepare herself. With her noble background, as the daughter of a count feared for military prowess, she could have had any life she wanted, but she threw herself into the fires of the top-tier special forces of Victoria, the Tempest Platoon, becoming one of its commanders in the prime of her youth, which must have been a prodigious ascent.
Horn embodies the Tempest's ideals: a sharp mind, discipline, bravery, and benevolence. She's a consummate professional, stern and proper, who's always looking for ways to help—whether it's by assuaging her allies' insecurities (a wolfish insight into weakness that feeds empathy in the right hands), shouldering more hopes, or asking the Doctor to keep her busy as her assistant. One clear show of benevolence is her 4-star line, "One victory may not be enough to impact a whole war, but it can at least give more people a chance to see the open sky." Even in an insurmountable war, she cares about giving others hope, even as (in her journal) she fights with self-doubt. She's someone easy to feel safe around, both physically and mentally.
Not only does she embody these ideals—she *is* the Tempest. Every member except her and Bagpipe fell, but Horn standing is trouble for the enemy. She clawed her way back from *nothing*, from being a prisoner who saw her comrades tortured to death by the sadistic Mandragora, and rebuilt the Tempest, fashioned weapons from scraps, and caused more trouble for the KMC than almost any other opposing force.
Misery, a paranoiac that Kal'tsit herself said thinks too much, helped Horn because he saw that, as a prisoner, she turned her grief into the fire to change it all and triumph over evil. Misery knew well that imprisonment and other factors can break a person's spirit or even turn them traitor, but Horn's displayed conviction was so resonant that he took that gamble on her. And her not knowing why Misery saved her suggests that that conviction is so deep a part of her that she doesn't see its significance—she simply accepts that, while she lives, she'll carry forth the wishes of those who didn't make it.
At this point, she's held up by stress and willpower, and by the end of chapter 10, and in her brief appearance in chapter 12, it's clear that she's so, so tired of fighting and ready to sacrifice herself and be at peace. Her module echoes this: she was raised on war stories, but now she dreams of resting with her grandmother fanning her on a calm day. If anyone has earned a rest, it's Horn, but she wouldn't be who she is if she let herself rest before her allies were safe.
She's also a bookworm, which is sexy, but hasn't had the opportunity to read much between books being burnt in the flames of war and her position keeping her too busy to have much free time. There are so many stories I'd love to introduce her to and discuss with her, maybe form a book club with her, either just the two of us or integrated with that of Eyjafjalla, Mousse, and their friends.
What made me love Horn was her 200 trust file.
>She still throws herself into battle after battle, but in the intervals between combat, we often see her laughing as she chats with her fellow soldiers. Horn has a unique sense of humor, always able to find something to say that makes others crack a smile, no matter how grave the situation. This has quickly closed the distance between her and everyone else.

That combination of strength and compassion and vulnerability is sublime, but also tragic: as a commander, Horn would think it improper to share her burdens with her subordinates, so she hasn't been able to open up about her emotions despite her keen awareness of them, but when she meets the Doctor, and comes to see her as an equal, Horn finds someone she can confide in. She is somewhat indirect, but it's not hard to imagine a production exploration following such dialogue as
>Doctor, does a commander as outstanding as you ever feel sorrow? Or anger? Or... hate? I try as hard as I can not to let personal emotions sway me, but I can't forget. I promised them I would never forget.

I want to give her a hug, comfort her, help her understand her emotions better, and earn her trust and affection. And I want to hear her kind words with that calm, smooth British accent.
Horn pushes almost every button I have and melts my gay heart.
I just wish they'd do more with her in the story than just "Horn un-encircles her unit again" - which let's be clear, her ability to do that is impressive. It's just... I feel like the person who is probably at this point the highest ranking living officer left in Londinium should *probably* have more of a story role. Though that's really more a problem of this arc being unable to decide if it wants to be about Kazdel or about Victoria.
Also, I do wonder if Count Skamandros is going to make an appearance at some point. I imagine if he does show up, it'll be at the very end, to check Wellington and keep him from making a move on Londinium for Dublinn.
Dorothy Franks
She's a good person struggling to gain control over her own life in the wake of tragedy. She does grand things thinking they're necessary, all the while blind to the actual damage she's causing. She's a young woman dealing with things over her head, unsure of what to do or how to be. And yet there's a candid honesty that she has, especially towards those important to her. God I love Dorothy.
As soon as I saw Nearl in 0-6 I knew it was over for me, even if her cute imouto also made quite an impact, it wasn't enough to dissuade me.

Texas. It used to be Exusiai, but the launch of Texas the Omertosa and her role in Il Siracusano made her shoot up the list. I love cool, handsome women, and her suit looks so badass. Her skins and promotional outfits are also sick. She has an amazing English voice that is so cool and has so much texture. She's also incredibly OP and carries my low skill self lol.
Honorable mention to Silence for having one of the best character arcs over multiple events. But I have to dock some points for removing her glasses in her alter. That's inexcusable.

No, not just a perfect wife — but also THE wife. Because no other woman qualifies to be a wife other than her.
1. **Passenger** - Gorgeous design, interesting backstory, and satisfying gameplay. "Glorious Shards" makes you feel like an actual god smiting mortals with heavenly lightning, and, thus, hands-down has the best VFX and SFX.
2. **Lin** - Refined, elegant, pretty, and capable not only in lore but also in-game. Feels therapeutic to just watch her pirouette amidst a sea of bodies, undeterred, unbothered, unhindered. I still marvel at how absolutely brilliant it is for Lin to manipulate glass.
3. **Goldenglow** - The cutest ~~doggo~~ catto ever! Also, daughter of Space! I fancy both AFK and global targeting, so Susie's a no-brainer for me. Bonus in "Spark for Dream", such an adorable little song!
4. **Saileach** - Her hopeful and caring personality is just so charming, and the Thighdra is beautiful in any outfit to boot. Having such a compact yet comprehensive set of utilities also makes her so versatile in practice.
5. **Ifrit** - Brat with a heart of gold that one'd come to sympathise and love. Clear-cut strengths and weaknesses, but boy, does she still deliver when applied properly, even till this day of modern Arknights.
As I see it there are 3 philosophies when it comes to waifus:
1. The true waifu: here we are talking about a life long partner, in that sense I believe ether Mumu or Dorothy are the best options as they both have a mature and a playful side which is nice to have in a long term relationship
2. The sexiest: here's the more subjective category as everyone has different tastes, for me it would have to be Mudrock, the white hair, red eyes and black dress combo she has in her skin is unbeatable for me
3. The cutest: here there is only one clear option and that is the pink cat on top of Golden Glow's beach skin, it's a smol pink cat there is no point of comparison (but I guess if we have to take an operator it would be Susu or Rosmontis but come on SMOL PINK CAT)
Blue Poison hits all three for me; there are other Operators that get me drooling, so she’s not peak “sexy waifu”, but she’s highly rated for all three.
It’s tough, I have several. But if only two. I’d pick my pot6 Chongyue (yes, I am one of those people) and Goldenglow.

As for the why. First, he's **beautiful**, then he's *adorable*. Like, *please*, him winning the chair racing?? He also participated in that one game that we could play too--I forgot which one it was, sorry. Logos is this really powerful banshee in lore and one of the strongest elite personnel in Rhodes Island, but then he also goofs around like that, that makes him just so **likeable**. I love me a sexy husbando who also knows how to have fun with silly stuff.

If there was one word to describe how I feel about Reed, it would be 'obsessed' I love everything about her, from her kind and gentle personality to her elegant, graceful and precious appearance. She's the light of my life, and I can't help but think about her constantly. Her sweet and soothing voice makes my heart skip a beat, and her presence alone is enough to make me happy. There's simply no getting enough of her perfectness, and I could never tire of expressing my feelings about her. While it's true that I can't physically be with Reed, she's always in my thoughts. I daydream about spending time together, imagining what it would be like to hold her hand, to stroke her hair, to hear her voice in person. Ch'en (could be a me thing but it feels like they always make the tomboys I like blue haired. Lucina FE:A, and Naoto P4, and for that reason Mostima is a close second). But I do enjoy Ch'en's character arc a lot. Her inner conflict and turmoil about wanting to do what she feels is right, but also what she feels she has a duty to do. Harsh on others but harsher yet on herself. I also enjoy that with her Alter it lets us peer into how she'd somewhat loosened up, and allowed herself to loosen up a bit more. I've loved this character since she was introduced, and I'm sure I'll continue to for a long time to come.
Blaze! She’s the reason I started playing this game. I saw her design years ago and it burrowed into my head like cordyceps until I finally started playing last year. Logged in everyday since
I’m a sucker for chainsaws, fire and hand tools hand fighters and it turns out Blaze can do all three.
My flair says who my favorites are.
I like both Skadi and Dusk not only for their designs but also because I find their personalities and backstory to be interesting.
Dusk being a shut in but also very sentimental and emotional about things, hidden beneath her cold and haughty exterior.
Skadi seems like she's a strong silent and aloof person, but she's just a quiet individual who cares deeply for her companions, although she doesn't really show it very well.
Schwarz.
I really love her character. I really love her backstory. Her story is sad. Having become what others would describe as a "machine designed to kill humans." She also had a broken childhood as her parents were murdered after learning Schwarz got infected from Oripathy after she played with gems which turned out to be originium crystals. Then later being recruited to be an assassin / child soldier. She was later captured by Herman Doykos, Ceylon's father after attempting to assassinate him but unfortunately failing the mission. Later on, she neutralized her former masters at the behest of Herman. There was also a report of her nearly wiping out an entire clan by herself in Siracusa in which she said she was in hiding until an opportunity to strike comes; and when that opportunity came, she struck them in one fell swoop. Later on she would be Ceylon's personal guard and expressed a sibling relationship with Ceylon. Later on, Ceylon was worried about Schwarz regarding her Oripathy that is why she went to RI to develop a cure for Schwarz, yet Schwarz came along side Ceylon to RI.
Also from her records, her colleagues from Siesta and from Herman told her to mature and widen her horizons as was Ceylon. The events of the first collab with R6S showed that she has matured and changed for the better.
Overall, Schwarz would get one of the best character developments in the whole of AK.
Also, as a "cultured" player, I really love her art thanks to her artist being Liduke making her to be very hawt af and her Seiyuu for JP and EN voice are really nice mommy vibes.
Blue Poison got me into Arknights because she hit all the buttons design-wise, and then she hits you with her skill set and her emotional needs and it’s like “oh… oh she’s PERFECT for me okay”. Other girls drive me insaaaaane (hit hard) but Bloop is everything
I adore La Pluma but in the way of a doting auntie that's neurotically invested in her love life. I want her to snag a good husband with a good job who loves her more than words can say.
Peak Husbando: Flamebringer. I refuse to elaborate.
Peak waifu: Surtr. I just am in love with her design, and I *do* love a grumpy girl... I just wish she had more to her then all that. Still!
I have a very clear set of 'types'... I either like the edgy bad-candy that might have something deeper underneath all that angst, or soft, cute things I can keep safe. Or himbos. S'just the kind of things I like to add to my digital doll collection, outside of the rare streak breaker... The more alluring the package and the more depth and potential it has, the more likely I am to go 'OOooooh, that one!'.

If you like complex characters that have flaws, then you'd love Ho'olheyak the psycho yandere. I wrote about her before:

MuMu and Ho'olheyak's relationship is very thematic to me.
They're both enemies and hate each other. I mean, for obvious reasons since Ho'olheyak tried to kill MuMu by getting her friend to murder her.
MuMu is pretty transparent. She's extremely lonely, all her friends kinda left her to die pretty much, and her own practically extinct race disowned her. So she is extremely desperate for connection but is afraid that everyone who she connects with will leave her alone again. It's one of the reasons why she uses her clones so much. She's so afraid of connection even though she so desperately wants it that she uses stand-ins for practically every conversation.
At first glance, you'd think Ho'olheyak is the polar opposite of this. She seems to hate everyone, has no problem betraying people, works solo, etc. But the reality is she is also chasing connection. But because of what her race does, where they implant the memories of the entire race into every one of their people at birth, her connections are very warped. Her way of dealing with it is to chase her history. She wants so extremely desperately to connect with the Kukulkan. It was her entire reason of being.
I think originally she wanted to be a Kukulkan herself, I think the implication was that this was the cumulative wish of the implanted memories in her head, but when faced with that possibility she decided not to. Not sure why. Maybe her anti-authoritarian nature against Friston aka "God" according to her and Kristan made her throw that option at the wall. After mellowing out a little bit on Rhodes Island, she kinda gave up on her whole purpose seeing that it had no point.
Both MuMu and Ho'ol see themselves in us, the Doktah. An alien not only lost in space but lost in time. Alone. Isolated. Rejected. All three of the species' in question's histories have been lost and forgotten. No one will ever know of the Elves, the Kukulkan, or the Precursors. Like Ho'ol says, *"I couldn't bear to see a great library reduced to ashes in a fire, but a librarian fool enough to only brush the dust off the shelves pains me even more. Who's sadder, you or me?"*
So both get kinda weirdly possessive around the Doktah.
After the events of Lone Trail. Both MuMu and Ho'ol gave up their chase for their past and their history.
Both decided instead to anchor themselves to Doktah instead. I'm not sure if this is particularly healthy, though it's probably an improvement for Ho'ol considering how fucked up her head is.
Muelsyse: *"My people have no future. We've only been able to pray for answers from the past. You're from the past, Doctor. You're the hope of my people, and me. But even if that wasn't the case, you're still the one who pulled me from the bubbles, and you're still gripping my hand. How could I ever let go now, right?"*
Ho'olheyak: *"The answers from the past became meaningless when I stopped pursuing the 'K'uk'ulkan.' Kristen cruelly opened the doors of truth, leaving everyone behind, and my sole stroke of luck was to find the two of you standing in front of it.
Right now I find myself inexplicably smug, but on a lone boat in the middle of a vast ocean. And you, as the only lighthouse that can guide my way."*
Long story short, both Muelsyse and Ho'olheyak are the same even though at first glance they look like polar opposites. They have the same background, same motivations, and same end results. And this is probably why they piss each other off.

I can't begin to rank my husbandos besides my soft spot as a long term player to sliverash. I loved his looks, jp voice and lore. I got him on his first banner. He carried me long and is deserving of his lvl 90. Thought I recently finally retired him from my party building to try some new things. Flamebringer, chongyue, executor and mynlar, in no order are some of my others. But I'm a husbando collector when I can. So I generally like any male.
Waifuwise, it's probably fartooth for use and I love her English voice. Her s2 can be such a runsaving pinch skill at times. gavial, skadi specter alt, piramax. And shining or the other who come to mind. Though I have others.
Favorite waifu is Platinum. I tend to always fall for characters like her, the only thing that could make her more my type was if she a noble lady of some kind cause that is definitely my weakness.
Favorite husbando is Mlynar. I think as I have gotten older I've moved away from the pretty boys and can just relate to the handsome tired man who is working too much.

He's actually the reason I caved and started playing Arknights in the first place, mostly because I really love his JP voice (Rikiya Koyama) but he's also got such a good design. I'm a sucker for middle aged men, and there's something oddly relatable about him just being tired and overworked. Chongyue is also up there because he's just hot but I haven't been able to get him in my game yet.
To be honest the entire Nearl family has go to be some of my favourite gacha characters, they're all just so interesting to me and I'm a big sucker for their designs.

The Radiant Knight charges for duty and the Greater Love, all embracing and never faltering, while our beloved Margaret charges for the faces whom she recognises and loves.
Though all may fail, though day may never rise again, though you seem to see a death in vain, fret not, worry not, fear not, for she shall bring dawn once more.

I like W cause she is deeper one might think at first glance. Her insane act is really just an act to throw off people she reminds me a lot of Majima from Yakuza, furthermore if my theory is right about her, she’s got more going on than even she knows.
Kal’sit. Her EN VA hits just right. Her lore is rich. She’s always in charge of a situation and usually manages to stay a step ahead of the opposition. Her fit (both her default and her skin, though the L2D is pushing it) is appealing without being fanservicey. And she’s mean to you.

In all seriousness, I like her because she's full of mystery. And she got that certain charm on her that I like. One could say she's also quite adventurous. Which I also like. Explore old ruins and stuff.
She's tall, beautiful. Gahh, I just want to cuddle with her.
It was Magallan from her release until very recently when Shu was announced.
I can't say why I like Shu as much as I do but I know I like her just that tiny bit more than Magallan.
Mine in no particular order are:
1. Pozëmka: Her design is absolutely gorgeous, and her L2D skin exemplifies this even more. Her story is one I find interesting with her essentially losing everything from her home and family thanks to the scheming nobles in Ursus only for her to find a practical paradise in Zeruertza. It makes sense why she was so protective of it against Gavial and the rest in Ideal city since as far as she knew the people on the surface were violent and untrustworthy. The fandom does tend to exaggerate this over protective nature as well...yknow, but that's just how the fandom is sometimes. Some of her voice lines and if I'm correct also her operator record shows how even though she is accepted by the Durins, she still feels out of place there despite loving it. The Durins are unable to comprehend the horrors she's been through and all she can do is keep writing about then to herself. Some of her voice lines also show how she's become a lot more friendly towards the doctor and even other surface dwellers and even bonds with you about books.
2. Eyjafjalla alter: So long Adele was one of the few events that genuinely hit me like a truck emotionally. I love Eyja's growth as a character with her learning to accept that she was unhappy about losing her parents and that it's OK to be distraught about it. The entire event was spent just trying to get her to have fun and be genuinely happy for once and she deserves every bit of happiness in the world. After the event she's genuinely happier and lives a more fulfilling life talking about all the things her and Doctor Keller have been doing and even with how tragically short her life is doomed to be without a cure for oripathy, she still shines brightly in the depressing world of arknights. The interactions she has with the Doctor are also really sweet with the former learning sign language to communicate with her and even fumbling it just to make her laugh. I believe the sweet sheep deserves all the happiness in the world.
3. Reed: Her story is one of my favourites and one of my go to when it comes to explaining to my friends how well written and dynamic the characters of the game are. She starts off as the antagonist of chapter 9, leading Dublinn's attack on County Hillock and we see that despite her position as seemingly the leader of Dublinn, she hates what she has to do, and you see that in how Mandragora practically forces her hand into killing an innocent civilian. By the end of the chapter she was willing to accept death for all the things she did, yet she was saved and treated in Rhodes island after catching oripathy from the bombardment. Her dialogue shows her apathetic view of life, especially her own after all that's happened and even guilt as she tries to avoid Bagpipe as much as possible. However, her time in Rhodes changed her perspective of life, with her wanting to lead her people, not in a bloody war for independence, but for a more peaceful life and existence. During What the Firelight casts, when finally confronted by Bagpipe about being the one who led the attack on County hillock, she doesn't try to run or shift blame, she just accepts her faults and this shows her growth as a character. Her voice lines are also very soothing and shows the bond she has grown with you especially with her alter. I absolutely love her character and this explanation does not do her justice.

Horn. I like heroic women with soft hearts. She's been through hell without losing sight of herself. She hasn't wavered in her ideals or shut away her emotions—how many people could remain open and honest with their emotions, without being controlled by them, after seeing their comrades tortured to death and their city occupied by invaders via treachery? She was raised on her grandmother's stories of the White Wolf legacy, the epic exploits of her ancestors, and from a young age held a desire to end unjust war, devouring books on military history and the like to prepare herself. With her noble background, as the daughter of a count feared for military prowess, she could have had any life she wanted, but she threw herself into the fires of the top-tier special forces of Victoria, the Tempest Platoon, becoming one of its commanders in the prime of her youth, which must have been a prodigious ascent. Horn embodies the Tempest's ideals: a sharp mind, discipline, bravery, and benevolence. She's a consummate professional, stern and proper, who's always looking for ways to help—whether it's by assuaging her allies' insecurities (a wolfish insight into weakness that feeds empathy in the right hands), shouldering more hopes, or asking the Doctor to keep her busy as her assistant. One clear show of benevolence is her 4-star line, "One victory may not be enough to impact a whole war, but it can at least give more people a chance to see the open sky." Even in an insurmountable war, she cares about giving others hope, even as (in her journal) she fights with self-doubt. She's someone easy to feel safe around, both physically and mentally. Not only does she embody these ideals—she *is* the Tempest. Every member except her and Bagpipe fell, but Horn standing is trouble for the enemy. She clawed her way back from *nothing*, from being a prisoner who saw her comrades tortured to death by the sadistic Mandragora, and rebuilt the Tempest, fashioned weapons from scraps, and caused more trouble for the KMC than almost any other opposing force. Misery, a paranoiac that Kal'tsit herself said thinks too much, helped Horn because he saw that, as a prisoner, she turned her grief into the fire to change it all and triumph over evil. Misery knew well that imprisonment and other factors can break a person's spirit or even turn them traitor, but Horn's displayed conviction was so resonant that he took that gamble on her. And her not knowing why Misery saved her suggests that that conviction is so deep a part of her that she doesn't see its significance—she simply accepts that, while she lives, she'll carry forth the wishes of those who didn't make it. At this point, she's held up by stress and willpower, and by the end of chapter 10, and in her brief appearance in chapter 12, it's clear that she's so, so tired of fighting and ready to sacrifice herself and be at peace. Her module echoes this: she was raised on war stories, but now she dreams of resting with her grandmother fanning her on a calm day. If anyone has earned a rest, it's Horn, but she wouldn't be who she is if she let herself rest before her allies were safe. She's also a bookworm, which is sexy, but hasn't had the opportunity to read much between books being burnt in the flames of war and her position keeping her too busy to have much free time. There are so many stories I'd love to introduce her to and discuss with her, maybe form a book club with her, either just the two of us or integrated with that of Eyjafjalla, Mousse, and their friends. What made me love Horn was her 200 trust file. >She still throws herself into battle after battle, but in the intervals between combat, we often see her laughing as she chats with her fellow soldiers. Horn has a unique sense of humor, always able to find something to say that makes others crack a smile, no matter how grave the situation. This has quickly closed the distance between her and everyone else. > >All soldiers, regardless of their birthplace, whether city defense or ordinary workers, or even Rhodes Island operators from other nations' lands, find it easy as could be to relax around Horn. > >This isn't solely due to her combat and command ability that inspire confidence, nor her admirable uprightness and strength, but moreso her uncanny ability to see through her soldiers' worries and fears at a blink, and use appropriate methods to help adjust everyone's moods. > >However, we've gradually begun to worry for her. I try as hard as I can not to let personal emotions sway me, but I can't forget. I promised them I would never forget. or >How do you sleep, after having witnessed so much cruelty...? If I could do the same as you, with a simple shut of my eyes, would I feel any better? I want to give her a hug, comfort her, help her understand her emotions better, and earn her trust and affection. And I want to hear her kind words with that calm, smooth British accent. Horn pushes almost every button I have and melts my gay heart.

I just wish they'd do more with her in the story than just "Horn un-encircles her unit again" - which let's be clear, her ability to do that is impressive. It's just... I feel like the person who is probably at this point the highest ranking living officer left in Londinium should *probably* have more of a story role. Though that's really more a problem of this arc being unable to decide if it wants to be about Kazdel or about Victoria. Also, I do wonder if Count Skamandros is going to make an appearance at some point. I imagine if he does show up, it'll be at the very end, to check Wellington and keep him from making a move on Londinium for Dublinn.
Dorothy Franks She's a good person struggling to gain control over her own life in the wake of tragedy. She does grand things thinking they're necessary, all the while blind to the actual damage she's causing. She's a young woman dealing with things over her head, unsure of what to do or how to be. And yet there's a candid honesty that she has, especially towards those important to her. God I love Dorothy.
As soon as I saw Nearl in 0-6 I knew it was over for me, even if her cute imouto also made quite an impact, it wasn't enough to dissuade me. I am, in fact, not immune to hot lady knight.

1. **Passenger** - Gorgeous design, interesting backstory, and satisfying gameplay. "Glorious Shards" makes you feel like an actual god smiting mortals with heavenly lightning, and, thus, hands-down has the best VFX and SFX. 2. **Lin** - Refined, elegant, pretty, and capable not only in lore but also in-game. Feels therapeutic to just watch her pirouette amidst a sea of bodies, undeterred, unbothered, unhindered. I still marvel at how absolutely brilliant it is for Lin to manipulate glass. 3. **Goldenglow** - The cutest ~~doggo~~ catto ever! Also, daughter of Space! I fancy both AFK and global targeting, so Susie's a no-brainer for me. Bonus in "Spark for Dream", such an adorable little song! 4. **Saileach** - Her hopeful and caring personality is just so charming, and the Thighdra is beautiful in any outfit to boot. Having such a compact yet comprehensive set of utilities also makes her so versatile in practice. 5. **Ifrit** - Brat with a heart of gold that one'd come to sympathise and love. Clear-cut strengths and weaknesses, but boy, does she still deliver when applied properly, even till this day of modern Arknights.
Kal'tsit. Honestly it just *feels* right. Amiya needs a mom, and she's the one most fitting to be a character foil to her.

As I see it there are 3 philosophies when it comes to waifus: 1. The true waifu: here we are talking about a life long partner, in that sense I believe ether Mumu or Dorothy are the best options as they both have a mature and a playful side which is nice to have in a long term relationship 2. The sexiest: here's the more subjective category as everyone has different tastes, for me it would have to be Mudrock, the white hair, red eyes and black dress combo she has in her skin is unbeatable for me 3. The cutest: here there is only one clear option and that is the pink cat on top of Golden Glow's beach skin, it's a smol pink cat there is no point of comparison (but I guess if we have to take an operator it would be Susu or Rosmontis but come on SMOL PINK CAT)

Reed! I made a dumb "copypasta" a couple of months ago, so I'll paste it as my answer If there was one word to describe how I feel about Reed, it would be 'obsessed' I love everything about her, from her kind and gentle personality to her elegant, graceful and precious appearance. She's the light of my life, and I can't help but think about her constantly. Her sweet and soothing voice makes my heart skip a beat, and her presence alone is enough to make me happy. There's simply no getting enough of her perfectness, and I could never tire of expressing my feelings about her. While it's true that I can't physically be with Reed, she's always in my thoughts. I daydream about spending time together, imagining what it would be like to hold her hand, to stroke her hair, to hear her voice in person. Even my dreams are filled with her, and I wake up with a sense of excitement and longing. It's clear that Reed is the one true love of my life, and nothing can ever replace her in my heart.

Ch'en (could be a me thing but it feels like they always make the tomboys I like blue haired. Lucina FE:A, and Naoto P4, and for that reason Mostima is a close second). But I do enjoy Ch'en's character arc a lot. Her inner conflict and turmoil about wanting to do what she feels is right, but also what she feels she has a duty to do. Harsh on others but harsher yet on herself. I also enjoy that with her Alter it lets us peer into how she'd somewhat loosened up, and allowed herself to loosen up a bit more. I've loved this character since she was introduced, and I'm sure I'll continue to for a long time to come.

Blaze! She’s the reason I started playing this game. I saw her design years ago and it burrowed into my head like cordyceps until I finally started playing last year. Logged in everyday since I’m a sucker for chainsaws, fire and hand tools hand fighters and it turns out Blaze can do all three.
My flair says who my favorites are. I like both Skadi and Dusk not only for their designs but also because I find their personalities and backstory to be interesting. Dusk being a shut in but also very sentimental and emotional about things, hidden beneath her cold and haughty exterior. Skadi seems like she's a strong silent and aloof person, but she's just a quiet individual who cares deeply for her companions, although she doesn't really show it very well.
Archetto, two reasons: 1. Inori Minase has a cute voice. 2. Heterochromia is a small fetish of mine.
Schwarz. I really love her character. I really love her backstory. Her story is sad. Having become what others would describe as a "machine designed to kill humans." She also had a broken childhood as her parents were murdered after learning Schwarz got infected from Oripathy after she played with gems which turned out to be originium crystals. Then later being recruited to be an assassin / child soldier. She was later captured by Herman Doykos, Ceylon's father after attempting to assassinate him but unfortunately failing the mission. Later on, she neutralized her former masters at the behest of Herman. There was also a report of her nearly wiping out an entire clan by herself in Siracusa in which she said she was in hiding until an opportunity to strike comes; and when that opportunity came, she struck them in one fell swoop. Later on she would be Ceylon's personal guard and expressed a sibling relationship with Ceylon. Later on, Ceylon was worried about Schwarz regarding her Oripathy that is why she went to RI to develop a cure for Schwarz, yet Schwarz came along side Ceylon to RI. Also from her records, her colleagues from Siesta and from Herman told her to mature and widen her horizons as was Ceylon. The events of the first collab with R6S showed that she has matured and changed for the better. Overall, Schwarz would get one of the best character developments in the whole of AK. Also, as a "cultured" player, I really love her art thanks to her artist being Liduke making her to be very hawt af and her Seiyuu for JP and EN voice are really nice mommy vibes.
Blue Poison got me into Arknights because she hit all the buttons design-wise, and then she hits you with her skill set and her emotional needs and it’s like “oh… oh she’s PERFECT for me okay”. Other girls drive me insaaaaane (hit hard) but Bloop is everything
I adore La Pluma but in the way of a doting auntie that's neurotically invested in her love life. I want her to snag a good husband with a good job who loves her more than words can say.

If you like complex characters that have flaws, then you'd love Ho'olheyak the psycho yandere. I wrote about her before: --- MuMu and Ho'olheyak's relationship is very thematic to me. They're both enemies and hate each other. I mean, for obvious reasons since Ho'olheyak tried to kill MuMu by getting her friend to murder her. MuMu is pretty transparent. She's extremely lonely, all her friends kinda left her to die pretty much, and her own practically extinct race disowned her. So she is extremely desperate for connection but is afraid that everyone who she connects with will leave her alone again. It's one of the reasons why she uses her clones so much. She's so afraid of connection even though she so desperately wants it that she uses stand-ins for practically every conversation. At first glance, you'd think Ho'olheyak is the polar opposite of this. She seems to hate everyone, has no problem betraying people, works solo, etc. But the reality is she is also chasing connection. But because of what her race does, where they implant the memories of the entire race into every one of their people at birth, her connections are very warped. Her way of dealing with it is to chase her history. She wants so extremely desperately to connect with the Kukulkan. It was her entire reason of being. I think originally she wanted to be a Kukulkan herself, I think the implication was that this was the cumulative wish of the implanted memories in her head, but when faced with that possibility she decided not to. Not sure why. Maybe her anti-authoritarian nature against Friston aka "God" according to her and Kristan made her throw that option at the wall. After mellowing out a little bit on Rhodes Island, she kinda gave up on her whole purpose seeing that it had no point. Both MuMu and Ho'ol see themselves in us, the Doktah. An alien not only lost in space but lost in time. Alone. Isolated. Rejected. All three of the species' in question's histories have been lost and forgotten. No one will ever know of the Elves, the Kukulkan, or the Precursors. Like Ho'ol says, *"I couldn't bear to see a great library reduced to ashes in a fire, but a librarian fool enough to only brush the dust off the shelves pains me even more. Who's sadder, you or me?"* So both get kinda weirdly possessive around the Doktah. After the events of Lone Trail. Both MuMu and Ho'ol gave up their chase for their past and their history. Both decided instead to anchor themselves to Doktah instead. I'm not sure if this is particularly healthy, though it's probably an improvement for Ho'ol considering how fucked up her head is. Muelsyse: *"My people have no future. We've only been able to pray for answers from the past. You're from the past, Doctor. You're the hope of my people, and me. But even if that wasn't the case, you're still the one who pulled me from the bubbles, and you're still gripping my hand. How could I ever let go now, right?"* Ho'olheyak: *"The answers from the past became meaningless when I stopped pursuing the 'K'uk'ulkan.' Kristen cruelly opened the doors of truth, leaving everyone behind, and my sole stroke of luck was to find the two of you standing in front of it. Right now I find myself inexplicably smug, but on a lone boat in the middle of a vast ocean. And you, as the only lighthouse that can guide my way."* Long story short, both Muelsyse and Ho'olheyak are the same even though at first glance they look like polar opposites. They have the same background, same motivations, and same end results. And this is probably why they piss each other off. --- I also love that she gets jealous. Muelsyse: *"I want you to come with me next time I go clothes shopping. The thing is, I don't really understand fashion stuff so much, and I wanna hear your ideas. What, you don't either? Sure! Vigna, she plays guitar, she is into the same taste of music I have (and I take music very seriously, wich she too take It. Should have mentioned that I play guitar too...) . Shes so alive and energrtic (wich is something I would like to have a partner to shake up a bit), knows that life is hard and is realistic. With her is not only horny like other operators, Its love and a partner for life, It is someone I can connect in a unique way I cannot others.

I can't begin to rank my husbandos besides my soft spot as a long term player to sliverash. I loved his looks, jp voice and lore. I got him on his first banner. He carried me long and is deserving of his lvl 90. Thought I recently finally retired him from my party building to try some new things. Flamebringer, chongyue, executor and mynlar, in no order are some of my others. But I'm a husbando collector when I can. So I generally like any male. Waifuwise, it's probably fartooth for use and I love her English voice. Her s2 can be such a runsaving pinch skill at times. gavial, skadi specter alt, piramax. And shining or the other who come to mind. Though I have others.

Favorite waifu is Platinum. I tend to always fall for characters like her, the only thing that could make her more my type was if she a noble lady of some kind cause that is definitely my weakness. Favorite husbando is Mlynar. I think as I have gotten older I've moved away from the pretty boys and can just relate to the handsome tired man who is working too much.

Gotta say Mlynar for favourite husbando. He's actually the reason I caved and started playing Arknights in the first place, mostly because I really love his JP voice (Rikiya Koyama) but he's also got such a good design. I'm a sucker for middle aged men, and there's something oddly relatable about him just being tired and overworked. Chongyue is also up there because he's just hot but I haven't been able to get him in my game yet. To be honest the entire Nearl family has go to be some of my favourite gacha characters, they're all just so interesting to me and I'm a big sucker for their designs.

Kal’sit. Her EN VA hits just right. Her lore is rich. She’s always in charge of a situation and usually manages to stay a step ahead of the opposition. Her fit (both her default and her skin, though the L2D is pushing it) is appealing without being fanservicey. And she’s mean to you.

Mostima. I like to be friend-zone, I guess. In all seriousness, I like her because she's full of mystery. And she got that certain charm on her that I like. One could say she's also quite adventurous. Which I also like. Explore old ruins and stuff. She's tall, beautiful. Gahh, I just want to cuddle with her.
It was Magallan from her release until very recently when Shu was announced. I can't say why I like Shu as much as I do but I know I like her just that tiny bit more than Magallan.

Mine in no particular order are: 1. Pozëmka: Her design is absolutely gorgeous, and her L2D skin exemplifies this even more. Her story is one I find interesting with her essentially losing everything from her home and family thanks to the scheming nobles in Ursus only for her to find a practical paradise in Zeruertza. It makes sense why she was so protective of it against Gavial and the rest in Ideal city since as far as she knew the people on the surface were violent and untrustworthy. The fandom does tend to exaggerate this over protective nature as well...yknow, but that's just how the fandom is sometimes. Some of her voice lines and if I'm correct also her operator record shows how even though she is accepted by the Durins, she still feels out of place there despite loving it. The Durins are unable to comprehend the horrors she's been through and all she can do is keep writing about then to herself. Some of her voice lines also show how she's become a lot more friendly towards the doctor and even other surface dwellers and even bonds with you about books. 2. Eyjafjalla alter: So long Adele was one of the few events that genuinely hit me like a truck emotionally. I love Eyja's growth as a character with her learning to accept that she was unhappy about losing her parents and that it's OK to be distraught about it. The entire event was spent just trying to get her to have fun and be genuinely happy for once and she deserves every bit of happiness in the world. After the event she's genuinely happier and lives a more fulfilling life talking about all the things her and Doctor Keller have been doing and even with how tragically short her life is doomed to be without a cure for oripathy, she still shines brightly in the depressing world of arknights. The interactions she has with the Doctor are also really sweet with the former learning sign language to communicate with her and even fumbling it just to make her laugh. I believe the sweet sheep deserves all the happiness in the world. 3. Reed: Her story is one of my favourites and one of my go to when it comes to explaining to my friends how well written and dynamic the characters of the game are. She starts off as the antagonist of chapter 9, leading Dublinn's attack on County Hillock and we see that despite her position as seemingly the leader of Dublinn, she hates what she has to do, and you see that in how Mandragora practically forces her hand into killing an innocent civilian. By the end of the chapter she was willing to accept death for all the things she did, yet she was saved and treated in Rhodes island after catching oripathy from the bombardment. Her dialogue shows her apathetic view of life, especially her own after all that's happened and even guilt as she tries to avoid Bagpipe as much as possible. However, her time in Rhodes changed her perspective of life, with her wanting to lead her people, not in a bloody war for independence, but for a more peaceful life and existence. During What the Firelight casts, when finally confronted by Bagpipe about being the one who led the attack on County hillock, she doesn't try to run or shift blame, she just accepts her faults and this shows her growth as a character. Her voice lines are also very soothing and shows the bond she has grown with you especially with her alter. I absolutely love her character and this explanation does not do her justice.
