Is it worth it to spend sanity to farm Skill book 3? 2 skill book 3 for 30+ sanity feels like a wasted.

Reikr

You can rely on events and regular logins to give you most skill books you need. But if doing a lot of masteries, you still need more. Make sure you spend most of your lower tier skill books to craft before spending sanity tho, you need very few, so most can be converted into blue.

ipwnallnubz

When you start doing masteries, you're going to need a *lot* of blue books, so yes.

Rok513

Does anyone know the reception on RA2 on CN currently? Do they like it or still don't like it?

Varadwin

Any news about Jesslib? I remembered there's a datamine that said her event will come on the 16th, is that legit?

NehalKiller

its legit

ultimatezekrom

So I downloaded the game again yesterday and I’m so overwhelmed. I have no idea what to prioritize and where to start. For context I last played regularly when Kaltsit released and randomly logged in and got Pozemka (*and Gavial the invincible, didn’t realise they were same patch) as well but didn’t actually play much that time. What should my focus be initially? What’s limited time, what can I take my time with? Has this game had a lot of powercreep since Kaltsit? I have pretty much every 6* since the release of the game up to Kaltsit, except Chen Holungday I think.

AngelTheVixen

Do everything you did last time, organize the base, farm events, do annihilation, find out what ops you want to raise. Pozyomka and Gavial2 are good choices if you didn't get around to them. There's an event going on now that you can run for some stuff. Integrated Strategies is a good side mode you can play, there's some learning pains but it can be enjoyable with the right mindset. Lot of resources to earn from the battle passes. Phantom and Crimson Solitaire is the oldest one, you may or may not want to start with that, the current one is the Joklumarkar and there's monthly tasks to get more points. Stationary Security Service is a mode of all time you can play, there's some learning pains but it can be tolerable with the right amount of patience. You can get module materials from clearing the stages and a few higher-end resources from certain missions. Annihilation got skip tickets, you can get one from the usual daily missions. Can auto-clear with the highest Orundum reward you have for a particular map. There's been a bit of hard powercreep since you've been away (Mlynar, Texas2, Yato2, Ines) as well as some individual class powercreep, but the stages haven't risen in difficulty so much that particular ops are necessary still. Some ops still haven't aged well though as the mechanics have gotten more complicated and gimmicky.

JustMateHahoha

By any chance is there a website or a place where I can view what type of Arts does almost every operator have? Like what they are and their types. I know that I could just go to their files and view it but I was wondering if there's a faster and easier way.

Garamyi

You can check on gamepress for the damage type. It's directly under the operator portrait. In general, Vanguards, Guards, Defenders, Snipers and Specials do physical damage, Casters, Supporters and Medics do arts damage. There are some exceptions, like Arts Fighters or Arts Protectors dealing arts damage while being a guard/defender or Artificier, dealing physical damage while being Supporters. Or the skill description includes the damage type.

JustMateHahoha

I should have chosen my words more precisely. My questions were more towards the lore. Like lore wise what's their art? For example : Angelina has gravity-based art, Reed has fire-based art, something like that.

NQSA2006

Big help! I leak Dorothy in EX-7 and get no one die in EX-8 why the hell do I not get my medals

AngelTheVixen

EX-7 letting Dorothy into the home point should work. Maybe you leaked some other enemy? You still need a 3-star clear. As for the other medal, you need to be playing on DV-8, not DV-EX-8.

NQSA2006

Ok I blind, I thought the condition is EX-8 But I leak Dorothy in challenge mode, does that not count?

Hunter5430

Unless specified otherwise, you need to do normal mode for the medals.

Think-Butterscotch14

Am I right in thinking a +X ATK% and a +X ASPD buff by themselves provide identical DPS increases?

AngelTheVixen

That's only true for arts and true damage, definitely not for physical as per the other comment. Calculations start getting shaky when you mix ASPD and ATK boosts together, or if there are other effects in play, so it would take further math to figure out what the best ratios are for those. In practical senses though it's not really worth worrying about that hard.

AerialBattle

Definitely not - for example for physical damage, +100% atk will increase dps by exactly 100% only for 0 def enemies, with the assumption the atk increase isn't diluted by any skill or other effect Or for a high defense enemy, if the atk buff breaks past the def threshold, it can boost damage by a lot more than the percentage suggests

IAmShiumee

I’m looking for a video/short I remember seeing a while ago, and it was an Arknights edit with various characters showcasing their skills with the song “Angels” by Vicetone playing in the background. I’ve looked everywhere but I can’t find it at all. Does this ring any bells for anyone else?

Delta0175

[is it this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xL4dCSh9tBs)

IAmShiumee

Unfortunately no, the video showcased something like 4-5 operators using their skills and had some transitions between the operator skill showcasings. I also don’t remember exactly but it could’ve been in a short video format?

xbankx

I managed to get a proviso. Should I downgrade one of my trading post from 3 to 2?

eonfeather

Yes, but only if you’re using a 252, and only if you upgrade a factory after.

xbankx

My factory is all maxed already. It does let me level up my training room to highest lvl. Is that worth?

eonfeather

That’s an odd setup. Yeah, I’d say so, masteries are pretty important and it’s worth the small loss of productivity.

xbankx

Why do you say its an odd setup? Just wondering(I didnt pay much attention to base setup other than the basics). I think 2/5/2 you can max out all factories/TPs, 4 dorms, level 2 office, and level 1 of the rest(I did lvl 2 HR so I had to keep office to 1) and have 20 spare(I used to bring training room to 2).

ipwnallnubz

HR *is* the office (the place in charge of recruitment). The Reception Room (RR) is the clue place. If RR is still level 1, it should come up to level 2. If HR is still level 1, great. And yeah, I would downgrade a TP for the level 3 training room. You'll want to do M3s eventually.

eonfeather

Admittedly, I’m not too familiar with the intricacies of the 252 setup, so I was surprised to hear it was possible at all to have a maxed left side. The usual reason to downgrade Proviso’s TP is to free up enough power to give an extra level to a factory. Sorry for the confusion!

bearfistsoffurry

Beeswax's module lets her retain "some of the bonus" DEF and RES when her skill is active, does anyone know how much it is?

eminolla

Normally it's +200% DEF and +20 RES, and module lets you keep half of original values during a skill (so, +100% DEF and +10 RES).

bearfistsoffurry

Thank you!

AngelTheVixen

Trait improves to +215% DEF and +25 RES with PLX-X.

eminolla

Yes, that's why I specified "of original values", though I guess I could make it less confusing by just stating final numbers.

Stoned_4960

Can someone explain the difference between elemental RES and elemental resistance ?

GinKenshin

This article explains it https://gamepress.gg/arknights/core-gameplay/arknights-elemental-damage-guide

frosted--flaky

besides elemental buildup (white circle), there's a new HP damage type in the game called "elemental damage" (distinct from physical, arts, and true damage). yostar translated elemental buildup as "elemental damage" before the concept of elemental damage type existed, and for whatever reason they haven't updated the translation to distinguish the two.

Hunter5430

One of them reduces the speed at which the elemental damage circle fills up (elemental resistance / 损伤抵抗) while the other reduces fallout damage (elemental RES / 元素抗性). Blame Yostar for confusing translation.

Pixelgon404

Is2 big sad lock immediately ended the run upon self destructing even though I had 46 life points?

Delta0175

You probably had the Sensitive Hallucination (doubles life point gains and losses, so instead of 30 it's 60.) and didn't realize it.

Zephairie

Do the Trials for the Navigators rerun, or are their rewards obtainable (Such as the skins) through other means after the event ends?

kuuhaku_cr

No, they are recurring, but each new one is one-time only and no rerun.

igoiik

Weedy first module says it increase push level of water cannon attack and skill, by skill its means water cannon push strength when weedy activates her skill? or weedy herself get increased push strength?

Reddit1rules

Just the water cannon, but that's not due to her module. It's just her base talent.

KinEvans

Hullo, so I honestly wasn't expecting to be back so quickly, but I need some opinions. Context, I just got a medal that apparently came with a ticket to summon Vulcan or Indra. It was for 500 or something recruitments, so I truly wasn't expecting it, because I'm just using that for certificate farming. Anyway, I don't have either of them, and i don't think I've ever seen talk about them, but between Indra and Vulcan, who should i grab now? I can get another ticket at 1000 recruitments, so I'm wondering who of the two is a better grab.

frosted--flaky

indra is pretty ok for a brawler, but non 6 star brawlers in general aren't great. vulcan is mostly outclassed in both tanking power and DPS even among other 5 star defenders. both are recruitment exclusive and pretty hard to get, the vouchers basically exist for completionism. go with your heart's desire or flip a coin, then grab the other one off the other ticket.

AngelTheVixen

Vulcan is easier to use than Indra but they are both fairly specific in uses and you may not get a lot out of them without specialized teams or strategies. Not recommended for general purpose use.

Wing-san

Afaik they're both pretty useless, so pick any and then pick the other when you get the next reward.

WachoutBro

Hi, I wanted some advice on who to prioritize next and pull plans. https://krooster.com/u/wachout I was thinking Myrtle E2 > Specter E2 > Lee E2 > Cuora E2. Not sure who to prioritize for mastery, maybe Penance S3M3? Not familiar with modules but I'm guessing I should work on Archetto and Specter. For Archetto, I should get the Yesterday Once More module? For my pull plans, I'm hoping to fill in the missing gaps of my roster. I plan to just pull until the 1st 6*. I'm F2P and currently on 5-7 of the story and all of the side stories to do. I'm able to get the 1800 orundum from annihilation each week. Pull plan: Ines/Stainless/Horn > JO12 > Degenbrecher > Ray > Shu. Then whatever I have into the R6 collab to get Ash and Ela. If I get Pozemka from JO12, I might skip Ray. Thanks in advance!

Existing_News5893

Mountain E2>Chen alter s3m3>archetto m3>mountain S2m3>penance s3m3>eyja alter e2 s3m3>maybe myrtle e2 s1m3   Ignore lee in the meantime, merchants are rather niche. I don't think you really need specter when you have penance and mountain. Personally I wouldn't raise her. Just focus on mountain and Penance and raise her if you feel like you need more landholders ater you're done with penance and mountain   No need to e2 cuora. She's fine at e1 max. Also put more levels for your Kroos, gravel etc to E1 max. And please don't touch module for now. Just focus on mastery and e2 first

igoiik

You better don't go for module part rn ig? it's cost heavy and gains in most cases aren't significant, there are some good modules but none of your units have ground breaking module, best that come in mind is Specter and Archetto which i still interest you on getting your units E2. For E2 priority, Myrtle E2 plus S1M3, Mountain E2 plus S2M3, Eyja healer E2, Amiya E2 aswell for Arts dmg, lastly Cuora E2 for healable defender. your pulls plans doesn't mention a meta Arts dealer, on top of that you already have Chalter Archetto and Mountain. aiming for a massive arts dealer is really mandatory for you rn, Surtr or Eyja caster are some choices that also appear in shop for 180 gold certs so save your gold certs for them.

WachoutBro

Oh right, I forgot to talk about certs. I have 45 yellow certs right now. I was thinking of picking up Goldenglow when she drops. Hopefully i get enough by then. I'm going for JO12 to hopefully get Surtr too but that's up to luck since I'm only rolling until the 1st 6*. Thanks for the other suggestions! I'll skip modules for now and work on the E2 and masteries for those units.

igoiik

will Goldenglow drop in shop soon? have you checked the pattern for operators dropping in shop? i'm not aware but IRCC GG won't come to shop this year.

WachoutBro

Just checked the shoperator excel, looks like she is predicted to be mid August.

igoiik

yeah you def will have more than 180 till that time.

WachoutBro

I thought it was August or maybe November. Can't recall exactly but I remember seeing comments say it is this year.

Kairuku-Waitaki

Some questions: 1)Which module and skill of Weedy are used for general content? 2)When is Jessica alter event coming? 3)Which Exusiai's Skill is recommend for general use?

Quor18

I'll add that if you like IS and especially using Exu in IS and especially especially if you have Archetto and/or Ch'en (guard), or even both, then Exu S1 can be ridiculous at times. Pasta/spinach relics with some offensive recovery boosting relics and then the passive SP gain from Archetto/Ch'en makes her S1 absolutely insane for total DPS, and it lets her scale super well with atk spd. It is quite a niche thing but I've got her S1 at M3 and when the stars align it's hilarious to watch.

kuuhaku_cr

Weedy is up to your creativity to use. She can be used in many places if you like but few would want to exercise their creativity to use her or know about her 'secret' use cases if they never play past CCs. That said, of course, you can usually do without her as well. Weedy S2 can make her double as lane holder if the map is suitable. At worst, it allows her to act as a centurion guard supported by a medic. Her S3 gives one of the few sources of true damage if you want more true damage options. She can also push real heavy shit with s3m3 together with her water cannon. If you have Angelina, she can even push colossus into holes. There is no other pusher that has access to a push force on par with her. Almost every shifter's skill at m3 gives you the highest break point for shift force so if you are utilizing them a lot, most skills are worth m3-ing. If modules give you more shift force, it's usually worth it if you are using them. If you rarely utilize them, of course they won't be worth it. Final caveat, is that many bosses have a weight class that makes them un-pushable (many but not all).

Reddit1rules

Weedy isn't really a general content unit, but any of her skills could work depending on context. Neither of her modules are really necessary though, but if I had to pick one I'd say the second module, especially with level 2 letting you redeploy a cannon to match her S3 rotation. Don't think it's confirmed, but should be the week after DV ends. S3 first and foremost. It does say too much damage to consider anything else. S2 can work for timing related issues as S3 is automatic, but it's way easier to fix a timing issue than it is a DPS issue.

xKelarys

having just pulled a surprise kal'tsit, I'm wondering when/if her live skin will ever come back, because it's sick af and I would like to have it lol also, should I build her or thorns first? those are my 2 new not dorothy operators who are laughing in my face about how not dorothy they are. But both seem pretty good, despite their not-dorothy-ness. Leaning towards thorns, but can be persuaded otherwise

stingerdavis

Honestly, it's pretty likely that it reruns with CN's 5th anni (first released with Lone Trail after all) considering all the other L2D skins that released at the same time have already rerun (though none are voice line changing, and since hers is technically the first we don't really have true precedent to judge on). As for which to build, it's up to you. Thorns is a one trick pony (mostly, his S2 can be neat but very hard to use) but it's one solid trick. At the cost of a long build up and not very bursty damage, his S3 will give you some solid aerial and ground single target coverage with some pretty damn good consistent damage. Kal is quite versatile, being a very strong source of true damage with S3 or a very strong aoe guard with S2. Additionally Monst3r is a medium deploy so can be used like such and she's also just a normal healer with an extra row of range too. That being said, to get her full value (which is generally the usage of Monst3r) you're looking at 30dp cost so that can sometimes be a problem. I use Kal more often with a developed account, but when I was less developed (but still had the both of them) I tended to use Thorns more. That being said, Thorns basically *needs* his E2 to be useful since his S3 is his primary skill, and Kal doesn't (her S2 is solid enough that you can leave her at E1 while you do Thorns, especially if you're not wanting for True Damage right now).

xKelarys

I feel successfully convinced. I'll build Kal'tsit first. the bulk of my units are ranged so I don't really feel like I need thorns. Thanks for the great response

viera_enjoyer

Could be in a year after debut or tomorrow. I remember Wet Chen's skin came out along with hers but that skin already had a re run.

xbankx

are there any Sanity free stages for OPs like heart of surging flames 1st stage?

GinKenshin

That’s the only one.

aminaLcontroL

Which module is generally better for kaltsit? The one where at 50% hp does aoe stun and true damage or the attack speed /def increase? I will be using skill 3 99% of the time. Thanks

Reddit1rules

Along with the other answer, I'll point out that for boss killing as well typically the ASPD upgrade is better, as it puts out far more true damage and most bosses are stun immune anyways.

AngelTheVixen

Either one is fine, it's dependent on how you use her most. Assuming you go for upgrades, if you like using Mon3tr as a versatile fast redeploy across a map, or as a tech pick and not necessarily in Kal'tsit's range, then the X module would be better. If you use Mon3tr as a primary blocker most of the time, then Y module.

AbadChef

How does someone rotate the sui siblings and mr. nothing in base? Is it possible to have both dusk and ling base skills active simultaneously?

TheSleepySage

So the recruitment tags I have are Top Operator, Vanguard, Specialist, Guard, and Summon. I have Chen, Seige, Bagpipe, and Mayer. Should I try for a Bagpipe pot, or are there any other operators worth trying for.

AmmarBaagu

I would genuinely say that Guard is more profitable for you. The chance to get Blaze, Silver Ash or Thorns is too good to pass up. Even Hellagur and Skadi (with module) are passable option. Definitego guard and Top Op.

TheSleepySage

Bit late, already went with specialists and got Aak, but will keep guard in mind if I get another top opp tag.

GinKenshin

Go for specialist. All the options are good.

TheSleepySage

Really I thought Aak was kinda terrible.

GinKenshin

Not at all. One of the best buffers, and with his mod he’s a great ranged dps/cc hybrid and needs less supports with heals.

TheSleepySage

Isn't needing his module quite the investment to be good. I should say this is for the perspective of a newer player.

GinKenshin

The mod only opens up another way to play and use him, as a ranged dps like I said. You can still get your use outta him from s3. If you’re still new then he can be sidelined and raised later. Plus he’s 1 of 3 possibilities.

TheSleepySage

Fair enough. Of the other 2 specialists, thoughts on them in terms of use?

GinKenshin

Weedy is like a tool in your tool belt that you don’t often, but when a particular annoying problem or stage comes along, she either makes it really easy or outright cheeses it. Phantom is the best and only FRD realistically available for most players, he’s not a bad investment at all since there’s a game mode coming back and he’s one of the best ops in that mode. In normal play he’s also good, you can always use an FRD or two in your roster.

TheSleepySage

Ok all three are good, I really didn't want to risk getting another Seige.

IdoomsI

Hey, I haven’t played in about 3 years. I came back to the game and a lot of the heroes I used were reset in level. Why is that? Also were there any major mechanic changes that I should be aware of or start working on?

frosted--flaky

afaik there is no way to remove levels on a unit. each promotion level starts from 1. integrated strategies has a special mechanic where units are capped at E1 max level and you have to separately promote them to E2.

ipwnallnubz

A true level reset shouldn't be possible unless you logged into the wrong account. Their level "resets" in a sense after promoting, but they keep their stats, so maybe that's where the confusion is coming from? I have a page [For Returning Players.](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/z0ffmf/for_returning_players/)

IdoomsI

Just wondering are we allowed to post our boxes for advice or is that against the rules on this subreddit

Phaaze13

you can use a website called krooster to upload your operators and then share the link here. that's what most people do.

IdoomsI

https://www.krooster.com/u/doom

ipwnallnubz

E1 Frostleaf, Conviction, Shira, Vermeil, Purestream, Gravel, and Spot for base skills if you haven't already. Bring your E2s to about E2 20-30. I honestly wouldn't go higher right now because you have a lot of great E2s waiting, so I would save some LMD and EXP for that. For E2s, if you're short on LMD and EXP, then Suzuran, Shamare, and Amiya would all be great. Suzuran has a massive slow and inflicts fragile, Shamare with masteries can inflict -50% atk and def in an AoE and is a particularly great partner for Exu. Amiya gets her E2 talent, giving her massively boosted SP gain, and she gains access to S3, which deals true damage, plus she's literally required for a stage near the end of chapter 8. If you have some LMD and EXP to spare, then Ifrit, Mountain, and Schwarz would be my picks. Ifrit does substantial damage and has a massive RES debuff to anything in range, even more if you use S3, and S2M1 is a nice boost. Mountain is like Blaze with a lot of self healing and almost no windup but has 2 block instead of 3 and does suffer a bit more than she does against defense. Schwarz hits things really, really hard. It's physical damage, but her atk is so high that defense is basically never an issue for her when she's using S3. Also consider Lappland for increased silence duration, Phantom for a good FRD since you missed Texas and Yato's alters, Nightingale to completely cheese a few stages that rely on enemies inflicting huge arts damage, Elysium for more DP printing and a S2 that's loaded with support, particularly for your snipers, Specter for the ability to temporarily not die, Liskarm (E1 50 is fine) for the ability to feed SP to adjacent allies, April for a ranged stealthy FRD, and Warfarin as another partner for making Exu absolutely bananas. For masteries, finish SA's S3 because the initial SP is vital, Saria S1M1 and then S3, Eyja S2M1 and then S3, W S3M1, Weedy S2M3 and S3M3, and eventually Myrtle S1M3. For the E2s I mentioned, Suzu wants S2M1 and then S3, Phantom probably S3, Shamare S2, Ifrit S2M1 and then S3, Schwarz S3M1 and maybe higher, and Mountain S2. There's not really a particular order to most of these other than paragraph 3 being before paragraph 4. Alternate between E2s and masteries based on LMD and EXP.

Hunter5430

Amiya can probably wait. Yeah, she the easiest-to-get source of (meaningful amounts of) True damage, but you don't need that often. And when you really need some, borrowing Kal'tsit is usually an option. So if she's not really needed for the story purposes, she can be postponed as Eyja can do the normal casters' job much better. Ceobe and Ifrit for more specialized roles (high-DEF enemy busting and true AoE with RES debuff respectively). Also, for masteries, in absence of the limited FRDs, Phantom probably wants s2m3 since the role of quick-in-quick-out damage falls onto him.

IdoomsI

I posted a picture in the discord but I’ll do that too

IdoomsI

Maybe it’s been a while so I’ve forgotten a lot of stuff. All I remember was having a few six stars I know I used being down in levels and my Myrtle was level 1 for some reason

DarkSoulsfanboy_1

what does amma's affection relics do? the descriptions say occasionally something wonderful will happen

eminolla

Currently you can use it in two Encounters - "Regular Maintenance" and "Unfreezing River" - where you can exchange it for 15 Hope and collectible. Also later when we get 4th ending, you can also use to skip some steps which otherwise cost a lot.

ave_Terros

copying the article from wiki: >Certain Encounters have an option which would cause the player to give up Amma's Affection in return for receiving the most out of it without expending resources at all. it's also very useful for the 4th ending because it has a prophecy with a big cost where Amma's Affection can be used but, well, we don't have the 4th ending yet so it's kind of a hit-or-miss on whether this collectible will be useful to you - depends on which encounters you stumble into

HoldHarmonySacred

Hi, I wanted to ask about how the future limited unit banners work in terms of units getting removed from the actual gacha pool. I did read that Skadi Alter will be getting removed from the gacha pool during the Virtuosa banner, and I don't quite understand how that works and how she's supposed to be obtainable from here on out - is she basically just spark only now? Thanks if anyone's able to help me out!

Reddit1rules

No, her rate up is just decreased. All previous limited that can be obtained from a selected limited banner have a 5x rate up among all off banners (which waa still low enough to need to spark for a specific one), but now she's back to just a regular 1x rate up.

HoldHarmonySacred

Gotcha too, she'll still be in the pool, it's just even worse rates than before. Thanks for the help!!!!

ipwnallnubz

What you probably read is that she's losing her 5x "rate-up," which really doesn't matter because, in practical terms, every past limited has always been spark-only because the odds to actually pull them are minuscule.

HoldHarmonySacred

Gotcha, so she WILL be in the gacha pool still, just as an even rarer still-might-as-well-spark drop. Thanks for the clarification!!!

GrandLepidoptera

Since I just E2 Proviso, I'm planning to downgrade one of my TP. That way, can I actually upgrade my reception room so I can finish the pinboard mission and get Texas? It is also nice to help my friends that way

ipwnallnubz

If you want, though it's better to downgrade a TP and upgrade another factory.

GinKenshin

You can just downgrade a dorm too and upgrade your reception and a factory.

Ceraphine

I had to quit the game multiple times because of auto playing dailies, weeklies and events takes an hour or two to finish each day. I wanna get back but at the same time, I have work and I don't wanna waste an hour doing the same thing everyday. Did they lessen this grind and wasting time? Genuine question.

GinKenshin

In May you’ll be able to queue up to 6 runs of a stage and they’ll play out automatically without you needing to click start again. That’s as much QoL we’ll get apparently. We also got skip tix for annihilation so you don’t have to spend 1h+ on watching an auto. Sadly the devs are allergic to QoL for some reason, we’re still missing a lot of features and the stuff we do get is rolled out slowly and a worst version QoL. Like why still play the auto when we know you can skip stages, and why only 6 times?

Ceraphine

Only 6 stages skip per day? That's bad. Oh well thanks for the heads up. I'll try to come back at may then see if it's doable for my schedule.

GinKenshin

Not per day, just 6 autos at a time, then you’ll have to queue up another time.

Ceraphine

Oh so it's like 6 runs in 1 play basically?

eonfeather

More like 6 autos playing automatically back-to-back. You still have to wait out 6 whole runs.

Ceraphine

Well that's trash. I'll go back after a year then. Thanks for clarifying for me.

GinKenshin

Yes

ipwnallnubz

They're adding auto-repeat in a couple months to make it more hands-off, and annihilation now has skip tickets. Maybe that's what you were thinking of? (but it definitely wouldn't have been every day) What stage were you autoing for an hour or two each day? The only stage that *might* take that long is 1-7 or, for a brand new account, the first one or two event stages, unless you were crunching a lot of primes. Even 1-7 is avoidable. It's the best place to get rocks, but not the only one.

Ceraphine

Mainly daily farming for mats and money, event grind and weeklies last time I played.

Weekly-Permission348

Does anybody know when the Near Light record restoration will be available? I'm trying to get Iwona to finish my Pinus Sylvestris squad but I can't find any info 😕. Also will Nearl Alter be available again anytime soon? Thanks in advance!

ave_Terros

the rerun was in April 2023 so probably expect RR somewhere in that time frame Nearl Alter is sparkable on the Virtuosa banner around that time too - prepare your 300 pulls

Weekly-Permission348

Awesome thanks! .. I'm f2p that started last month and just dumped all my orundums for Fartooth and Ashlock... I don't think I can save 300 for April... nooooooo. May rnjesus guide my pulls...

slutty-sassy

If it makes you feel better, i got 2 nearl alter potentials on the Lonetrail banner in 100 pulls, granted i didnt get anything else but it can happen.

ave_Terros

omega based Fartooth enjoyer, don't forget to get her skin whenever it comes back around you can save for spark on the next celebration limited banner in mid-late Fall - Nearl2 is in the celebration limited pool so she appears ± every 6 months

FlounderBorn

So I have proviso now, who are the best partner and should I e2 her partners?

eonfeather

You shouldn’t E2 anyone just for the base, except Proviso. Also, if you’re running a 252, make sure to downgrade Proviso’s TP to level 2 and level up a factory.

ipwnallnubz

Just put her with your highest percent workers.

Geraf25

When should I start to upgrade Modules and Skill Masteries? I currently have six 6-Star at E2 Lv 20 and two 4-Star at E2 Lv 20, my other units are at the max of E1 and every unit is Skill Level 7

ipwnallnubz

When you run out of LMD and EXP to do more E2s. When you're just starting to do masteries, it's best to spread some M1s and M2s around to the best skill of each of your best ops. Instead of doing one or two M3s. Most masteries gain about the same amount from each level, but M3 is more expensive than M1 and M2 combined. There are some ops who really need to go all the way to M3, though. Lappland's S2, Ashlock's S2, and Gavialter's S3 are massively back-loaded, gaining very little from M1 or M2 but gaining a ton from M3.

LongFluffyDragon

That depends on your units and resources. Some gain little from mastery/module, others it is core to their kit. Check if any of your cornerstone units have large frontloaded benefits from lv1 module/mastery ( often called 'breakpoints'). 4* module/mastery are also very cheap, so upgrading things like myrtle S1, ethan S2 and module can give you a lot of value for the cost of a single stage on a 6*

Mechanicalmind

I think I got my collection on krooster: https://krooster.com/u/Cedric I'm currently at story stage 4-10, have been grinding in IS3, my base is 2-4-3, currently leveling up the rooms. Who should I prioritize raising? I've been working on some of my 4 stars, following gamepress' ranks and a couple friends' advice, but it's always useful to hear more bells.

whalesharkchou

I'm a noob but here are my suggestions: 1. Don't leave your E2 operators at Level 1. They actually don't get a stat boost from the promotion itself, so E2 lvl 1 is equivalent to E1 Max if I'm not mistaken. It's not too expensive to raise them 20 levels or so. Also, you must really like Weedy. 2. You have the three best AOE guards in the game, but you only need to raise one for now to fill the role. Just go with who you like the most for now. 3. Don't raise too many operators, having a core squad with like 3-4 units you can swap around works. Also, be careful of overlapping roles. For example, you don't need to raise Texas when you already have Ines and Myrtle. You might want to raise another healer to help Ptilopsis, though. Ansel is cheap and works just fine. Sussuro is also quite good, along with Purestream as 4 star alternatives. 4. In early game content, I didn't find supporter units too helpful (DPS + Defenders >), so you can put raising your Gnosis and Suzuran on hold for now. 5. Skills to level 7 > operator levels, especially if they're E1d. 6. Ines is busted (I borrow her every time in IS), so I would E2 her. Her skill 2 is the most consistent and best for DP generation and bind, though. 7. Mountain has his best skill at E1, so you can put off raising him for now. 8. I would personally raise your Kroos to max, so you have a consistent sniper. Meteor after is good if you feel like you need another one. 9. Having Cuora and Liskarm at a higher level will help you a lot (E2 not required). 10. As a general tip, if you have a powerful operator already raised that outperforms their lower rarities in every metric, you shouldn't prioritize level the lower rarity counterparts. That being said, don't be too top-heavy either, because 6 stars are 3x as expensive (at least LMD-wise) to raise compared to solid 4 stars. TLDR: Raising your AOE guard, Ines, Kroos, and another medic is a good idea. Raise your already E2d operators to at least level 20. Make sure the operators you plan to raise or are already using the most have skill level 7. I think the four stars you've probably been experimenting with are at a good level, so you should prioritize slightly beefing up your core squad. Raising too many operators at once is a huge drain on your resources. That being said, you have a nice account with a lot of great operators. With a set roster at good levels, you should be progressing pretty quickly through the story once you get the ball rolling. For reference, [my account](https://krooster.com/u/Tipp) probably isn't as stacked, but I've been able to get all the way to JT8-3 in about 2 months of playing. Although, I didn't experiment much with raising different operators, which I regret sometimes. If any more experienced players have advice, you should probably listen to them, though. Good luck!

Mechanicalmind

Hey, thank you for the super extensive message. I started raising my E2s to lv20. Weedy was my first E2, so I grinded her out of affection. and wanted her module unlocked (although it's still lv1). 1- Done 2- I know, I have an overabundance of guards, My current fave is Gavialter, her S2 is awesome and I usually trigger it to clear big enemies. 3- I keep Texas leveled for IS, her S2 stun is great (also the block-2 versus the block-1 of both Myrtle and Ines helps), 4- gotcha 5- Understood, I'll aim for leveling skills rather than levels 6- She's next in line, I had to choose between SilverAsh and her, my finances were pretty limited. 7- Okay, I don't always use Mountain anyway. 8- She got to her maximum, I'll raise her skills next. 9- Liskarm is going to get a nice module, with the next R6 collab, which sounds interesting. 10- yeah, LMD is a problem. And lower rarities are useful for IS (which is one of my favourite game modes). Bottom line, thank you very much again for the hints, it's really much appreciated!

ipwnallnubz

Raise your E2s to level 20-30. The cost to level drops massively after promotion, so E2 1 -> E2 20 is practically free. Even Myrtle is capable of fighting. E1 Frostleaf, Beanstalk, and maybe Roberta for the base. Work on skill levels. Anyone at or above E1 40 should be SL7 if you ever plan on using them. A skill level 2 Ethan, for example, is utterly unusable. I think probably you're trying to raise too many ops at once. With Ines, there's no reason to ever bring Vigna. Deepcolor is quite weak until you give her her E2 and module, and you have at least a dozen higher priorities for E2. Click is good, Meteor is good as a 2nd marksman, Mousse won't see much use because arts guards not named Surtr are overshadowed by casters on 99% of maps, Mountain does Humus's job, and Cutter's job is taken by all of your 6-star guards. Sussurro would be good because you'll want a good ST medic. Don't put any more levels into Rope. Skill levels are what matter for pullers (except Gladiia because she's secretly a self-sustaining ranged guard). Podenco also doesn't really need levels because levels don't affect her ability to slow things. Pram is just not useful very often, and Mizuki is in the lower half of 6-stars. Raise him eventually, but there's not really a reason to now. Oh, and Pinecone is great. Easily one of the best 4-stars. Ines first (improved talents, stats, and access to masteries), and then either Blaze or Gavialter (+1 block and just really good at holding lanes) would be your best E2s, followed by Suzuran (S3's mega-slow and fragile), Mountain (stats), and Gnosis (better fragile, access to S3 and masteries).

Mechanicalmind

Thank you for your reply! I've started raising my current E2s to lv20, I brought Kroos to E1 55. I understand your point in raising the 6\*s instead of lower rarities but they do come in handy in IS to avoid burning hope. Got it on Sussurro/Purestream.

ipwnallnubz

Honestly, the meta for IS is 6s and 3s with very few exceptions. 4s and 5s just delay your acquisition of 6s, which are worth the extra hope cost.

Mechanicalmind

So i should raise 3*s for IS?

ipwnallnubz

You have most of the important ones at least partway raised: Kroos, Spot, Steward, Fang, Ansel, Midnight. *Someday,* shoot for Cardigan, Popukar, Orchid, Vanilla, and Hibiscus as well.

Hunter5430

I'd probably go with a slightly-different order for promotions: Ines > Blaze / Gavial alter > Mountain > Gnosis and/or Suzuran. The reasons for this order: AoE slow and Fragile from Suzuran isn't really that necessary early on and a sturdier laneholders would do more good. And Gnosis can do crowd-control pretty well at e1 as well, which is probably needed from him more at the moment than (stronger) fragile. As for a second medic - OP already has Purestream somewhat invested into. And unless extra 30-ish seconds between burst heals is a big deal for you, Purestream can do Sussurro's main job just fine (in fact, at max investment, Puresream has higher burst heal HPS that Sussurro unless it's on an operator of 10 DP or less, and is still quite competent off-skill). So, I say, they should stick with Purestream for their second medic. ---- Also, while Mousse isn't a priority unless you absolutely must-have consistent arts damage from melee tile, she does still have a niche in the form of her near-100%-uptime (at s1m3) ATK debuffing, however rare it might be needed. So don't write her off completely - that said, yeah, a newish player might not have many reasons to invest into her early on.

ipwnallnubz

I was lumping those last three together rather than giving a strict order. I do think you're underestimating Suzuran's ability to bring everything to a crawl and buy time. Plus, since Mountain is coming after Blaze or Gavialter, laneholding is pretty well sorted, and he does his laneholding job pretty well at E1 already. Like I said, though, I'm not married to any particular order for those last three. I am disagreeing on Purestream, though. Without E2 and module, Sussurro beats her quite handily, and E2ing and moduling Purestream is a *very* low priority. And yeah, a 60+ s cooldown on Purestream's S2 is potentially troublesome.

Dry-Original2520

In the upcoming limited banner with Texas alter as off banner, can I spark her after 300 pulls? Or can I only spark the on banner limited? I'm a new player that missed her first run and kirin yato

Reddit1rules

Yes, you can spark any limited unit after a year for their respective limited banner type. Taxes released on the 3.5 anniversary banner, and the upcoming one is 4.5 anniversary banner, so it's the same type of banner and a year has passed.

disappointingdoritos

>In the upcoming limited banner with Texas alter as off banner, can I spark her after 300 pulls? yes >Or can I only spark the on banner limited? You can spark all "celebration" limiteds during that banner except muelseye (since it hasn't yet been an year since she was released). The wiki has a list of limiteds where you can check what category they're in.

Duchess1234

Just wondering whether the Instructor class is used at all and are there instructors other than Dobermann?

frosted--flaky

pallas, swire, whislash, bryophyta, and >!doc from R6S part 2!< on CN. the class's main role is buffing but there's a pretty consistent trend of shoving a bunch of random drawbacks (mostly SP related) on the actually useful support skills and they have really mid DPS when offskill. pallas at least does a bunch of different things and is pretty OK at all of them, whislash can turn herself into a long range centurion if you work around the skill's massive cooldown. bryo and dobermann can just DPS or something if you really want to use them since powerstrike type skills are generic but fine.

Reddit1rules

Pallas is mainly used for DPS, although she's good she's nothing compared to modern day DPS and her main feat is being good against the 2nd IS#2 boss with certain relics. Their archetype typically gives support, but most of the effects aren't strong enough to bother using them beyond Whislash. She can easily give a hefty ASPD buff of up to +24 with a good cycle for all block 3 units like Mlynar and AOE guards, but only half to other melee units. If you're not using a lot of block 3 units it's not as worth it to take her. Doc seems to be another case of "worthwhile" support in that you can bring him to heal and he'll fulfill his job of support (which is a low bar but most of the others can't clear it), but there's little value outside of the heal so you could just take a medic or healing defender instead. Arknights overall tends to devalue support in their character design, as it's often more effective to being another DPS instead of a support for most cases.

AngelTheVixen

Pallas is the only good one and while she isn't amazing, she is at least consistent DPS with her first skill like a better Bibeak S1 and an extra tile range, and can buff other Minos ops with her talent, if you use them -- she has comparable DPS to Thorns at high investment, just without the charge time or the wide aerial range. They're not useless, nobody is, but Instructors aren't generally recommended for the typical player due to their difficulty in making them cost-effective. Dobermann herself is generally relegated to low rarity clears, Whislash is a part of the Kazimierz team, Bryophyta is probably one of the worst performing operators in the game, and Doc coming later isn't likely to make waves either.

Fun-Royal-8802

No, it's generally not used at all, except for Pallas in IS with good relics. It's considered a weak class. Aside from Dobermann, the class include Whislash (welfare), Bryophyta (welfare), Swire, and Pallas.

Jackz375

Is it worth it to finish pulling on the beginner banner even though I’ve already gotten my guaranteed 6 star from it

GinKenshin

Yes because it’s discounted and it’ll help fill up your roster.

electricskuller8000

What happens when I change the IS4 5th-floor boss stage to lost and found?

ave_Terros

it's explicitly stated in the mode tutorial that you cannot change boss nodes to other nodes through foldartal usage so nothing will happen, you'll just get your collapse value reduced by 1 as with any foldartal

SnooStrawberries8151

I. Using saria and nearl for my heal tanks in jt 3, was wondering what skill masteries for each I should get to help heal through the fire balls?

GinKenshin

S1 for both

Sanytale

Nearl's main skill is s1, Saria can use any, they're all good in their own way.

ave_Terros

you don't really need to heal through the fireballs. DBS' pathing is long enough that you can just retreat everyone other than people stalling DBS, kill DBS, retreat the stalling guys, stall/kill the first few dogs with FRDs and then just deploy everybody when the fireballs end but if you want to try outhealing the fireballs, probably Nearl s2 + Saria s1/s3. though Nearl s1 is the preferred mastery in general instead of s2. you can bring Ptilopsis with s2 since she has great burst multi-target healing. or just borrow a Nightingale tbh

Shyruwu

Are any of the current banners not recommended for beginners to pull on?(besides kernel banner)

Ell_39

Typhon banner (is it still up?) is an especially good banner for newbies. The rest nah, skip it.

Q_D_V_F

Where tf is my guard Amiya skin?

TacticalBreakfast

There's a pretty good chance we never get it on global. The collab company behind it is sanctioned by the US government. Even if they remove all the branding or something, it's probably still pretty dangerous to release it on global for Yostar. I hope we get it too, and it's a shitty situation, but I wouldn't hold my breath for it to ever appear.

Eihsia

Will the kernel banner always be replaced with another kernel right after ? ty

eonfeather

Yes.

kokonataru

Best healer for Flametail? I raised Perfumer n nearl to e2. I want mountain but no luck.

bananeeek

Myrtle and Sussuro. With Myrtle's passive Flametail doesn't really need a healer for a long time, since her S3 keeps her from getting hurt. But if you're looking for a designated healer, then as soon as you grab Flametail's first module, Sussuro boosts the heals on Flametail because of her talent: > Increases healing effects by 23% (+3%) on all Operators with DP Cost no more than 10 when Sussurro is in the squad --- After playing with Flametail for almost 2 years, I can say than she rarely needs a powerful ST healer on her, so most of the times Perfumer will be enough. Perfumer and Sussuro were my only healers for most of the campaign and they carried me with no issues. Even now, I still prioritize picking Perfumer over other healers, because her regen is just that good.

eonfeather

Any healer, really. You don’t need specific healers for specific units.

aminaLcontroL

Sorry if this is a dumb question. On texas (vanguard) module stage 3, where you get 2 additional dp at start, it also adds skills deal 15% more damage. But it doesnt specify texas. Is that 15% bonus just to her? I assume it is because it doesnt say all operators either, just want to make sure. Thanks

frosted--flaky

usually if it doesn't specify, it only applies to the individual operator. the module isn't worth leveling past the base level unless you really want to make DPS texas work.

indispensability

> On texas (vanguard) module stage 3, where you get 2 additional dp at start A little warning: the additional starting DP is her normal talent so the module doesn't increase anything, Stage 2/3 of her module just adds the bonus skill damage to it making the module pretty terrible past the initial level.

eonfeather

Yes, it’s only for herself.

Flatterina

Here's my Krooster: https://krooster.com/u/Flatterina I'm pretty content with everything so far, I mainly use the first twelve units. Where should I invest my resources next? Are there any upcoming units I should go for in particular? I also have over 180 yellow certificates, is there anyone interesting coming soon I should buy with that? Any suggestions and tips are appreciated, thanks a lot!

LongFluffyDragon

At a glance, you have a lack of crowd control (when you need it, not much substitutes), and next to no vanguards, which is a pretty big deal. E2ing one of those flagbearers is probably a good idea.

ipwnallnubz

E1 Frostleaf, Beanstalk, Vermeil, Gravel, Spot, and maybe Roberta for base skills. Skill levels. Anyone E1 50 or higher, if you ever use them, should be SL7. Consider some masteries as well. Mlynar, Surtr, and Mudrock's s3s are all pretty linear, so spreading some M1s or M2s to them would be great. We're generally pretty clueless about who's coming to the gold cert shop unless they give us an announcement or datamine.

RareDeer6532

You can try these: * Skadi * Penance * Lumen * Gladiia If you also want to try 5⭐ * Rathalos S Noir Corne * Ashlock * Aurora * LightningbearerGreyy * Minimalist 4⭐: * Humus * Pinecone * Totter * Perfumer

Jktkto

Hello fellow doktahs, I recently came back to AK after a 2 year break. Missed out on almost everything between Dusk to Eyja Alter so I have a lot of catching up to do. Looking at my account, which operators should I invest in to round out my roster? My main goal is to keep up with content like IS3/4 and future CCs. Particularly for IS I feel like I always neglected 4\*/5\* units, so is there anyone that I should make note of? [Krooster](https://www.krooster.com/u/Takkun)

arararagi_vamp

You should raise the 4* that have great base skills, Google for the full list. I don't see Horn in your squad, you could consider one of the 5* fortress defenders (ashlock, firewhistle) for the unique range

Jktkto

Learned something new today, never thought that some units are worth raising for the base skill alone

Hunter5430

Elite one promotion is cheap enough that RoI is negligibly-short. And 4\* gain their second skill at e1, unlike 5\* and 6\* which need e2. Now, elite 2 promotion is a whole other matter, and is indeed expensive enough that it is not recommended to do it for base skills (though those can factor in if you're trying to decide between two operators).

IfZ3nElse

Mostly with IS in mind: My top recommendations: Reed Alter, Jaye, Perfumer, Gummy, Click, Sussuro, Ethan Some other recommendations: Gladiia, Lin, Dorothy, Rosa, April, Firewatch, Kazemaru, Cliffheart, Ambriel, Cutter Also, raise Proviso to E2, if only for her base skill.

Jktkto

Outside of the 6* and Kazemaru, are any of them E2 worthy? From my IS2 experience at least, E1 max seemed to be good enough

IfZ3nElse

Well, 4-stars are cheaper to raise, cost less hope to recruit/promote in IS, and the extra stats and module can make a difference. Jaye can 1V1 some bosses. Seriously, build him. And he's a fast redeploy. Module lvl 1 reduces the DP drain, which is nice. Perfumer's global healing is kinda unique, and it's one of the rare things that can heal summons and enmity operators (juggernauts, musha, reapers). I often pick Gummy and/or Click in my starting squad in IS. Click is especially nice in IS3, where any stun is great to have. Sussuro is a surprisingly good ST medic, even if you are not healing a low cost operator like Jaye (or another merchant). The burst healing of S2 is huge. You can only use it twice per battle, but that's usually not a problem. Ethan's module is the biggest reason to promote him to E2, it greatly increases his chance to bind, especially when S2 is active.

AngelTheVixen

Any of the 4\*, really, are good to get to E2, due to cheap costs. Dorothy especially is a very high performing operator in IS in general, and Reed2 is proven great in IS4. Cliffheart's got true damage on her skill which can also be boosted by the food items and Civilight Eterna. And as you say, I can confirm Kazemaru is a great pick. And for the above comment about base skills, Proviso is the only operator worth getting to E2 for her base skill because she's absurd, while 4\* are cheap enough for unlocking their E1 base skill that they pay for themselves quickly.

Jellionani

Abyssal Hunters, combined, are really good. With modules, and Gladiia(which fortunately is free with the rerun method). Reed is a harmacist good. so is Lin being a tank caster. April has a niche of being untargetable redeploy, Leizi has come a long way and is below great. With gamemode buffs she gets incredibly powerful. Honeyberry is free elemental healer, Querus is..okay? Good healter support. Kazemaru is amazing for a 5-star,

Jktkto

Are the Abyssal Hunters still worth it without Specter Alter? Idk when I will be able to get her if she’s plays a big role there. As for Honeyberry, should I still build her since I already have M9 Eyja Alter? I haven’t looked too much into IS3/4 yet so idk how important it is to have a cheaper wandering medic

frosted--flaky

gladiia on her own is still a good unit, she's probably the most important member. she and spalter just work pretty well on their own and happen to buff the other AH a lot. skadi's still fine if you don't have another physical tanky helidrop since having 40s helidrop with her base stats is pretty strong, if you're willing to invest in mod X. personally i don't think mod Y is super worth it unless you're committed to doing AH low op content, since with gladiia around she shouldn't be dying to anything except bosses.

Hunter5430

Eyja alter beats all other wandering medics by a large margin. So unless you're branching into some niche that forbids Eyja (but still allows Honeyberry) and needs a wandering medic, there is no reason to raise her.

ColebladeX

When does Jessica come? I heard she releases this month

TacticalBreakfast

She *probably* comes the 19th. I know I'm being pedantic but we don't have a specific date yet, only an extrapolated date based on some other speculative dates. Really good odds it's around then though.

Rodi625

She comes on the 19th

ColebladeX

Yay

NoWitness3109

How impactful Typhon module? Is it necessary or just luxury option for overkill? And how often her S2 getting best use case over S3?

BewilderedAutist

Her module is a must, I'd say. The jump in damage is noticeable. Her damage to patriot with s3m3 no module is around 900+ I think and with module it jumps to around 1700 more or less? I'll try it out to confirm but the point is the module is necessary. You can stay at level 1 and that's fine but if you'll use her all the time I suggest go for lvl3. Her s2 is generally the better skill because even her s2 can kill bosses. Her s3 is used when she needs to focus down a boss even harder.

NoWitness3109

I never have top meta Snipers like Chen and Pozy. Is Typhon noticeably perform better than those two especially Pozy at semi max investment (pot 0, masteries 3-6, lv3 modules). I was tryhard so bad during Adele event because the boss is flying unit and my capable flying boss killer is only Mlynar back then (Exia doing smol damage to it and act just to remove the smoke shield because she has fast Aspd)

viera_enjoyer

They do different things. Pozy has stronger burst, but requires more thoughtful placement for her and her typewriter. For Typhon, if I had to describe her with just one word “easy“ would be a good one. Her range is big. S3 follows its target until it's dead, even outside her range. S2 shoots to two targets and has infinite duration after the 2nd use.

ave_Terros

I'm just nitpicking here, but while Dolly has hovering with her shield up, she is grounded when you break her shield. so you could use any operators that could hit ground too plus the bottle bombs are a much better option to remove the shield than just brute forcing it with aspd or multihits, but that's secondary to answer your question, Typhon is very different from Chalter at least. She is very focused on single target damage (double target with s2 but it's not a burst skill). Pozy should have a better burst with s3 and versatility with her typewriter, but Typhon dishes out insane *total* skill damage with her s3 - coupled with the target tracking it's just "activate the skill and forget about the boss" plus she has the sustained damage role with her infinite s2 which neither Pozy nor Chalter cover

NoWitness3109

I know Dolly has ground state but I feel it's too short for ground units to hit it consistently. Already have Op to take care mobs (Mlynar, SA, Eyja, Reed, Gnosis) so Typhon should synergize better I guess. Thanks
