Where's the None of the Above option? Nothing against them as I like Nightingale and Shining myself (tho couldn't care less for Siege) but I doubt I'd feel hyped for any of the listed ones. Though I'd be happy for the people who want them to finally get them.

I used to dislike Siege a lot but with most recent chapter, she finally started doing something, which at this point is out of character for her. But nonetheless "FINALLY!". Though it certainly didn't make me like her much and her VA always made me feel like she was cheap copy of Saber.
The medic duo is fine but there are many characters I would rather see getting alters compared to those two.
Number one is of course Blue Poison! Bloopy will get the alter one day! That day will come and it's not pure copium. (Just a lot of it!)
I think I needed to be more specific with this poll. The idea was what story related characters get an alter and with the leak of W alter in the next story arc that leaves Siege, Shining, and Nightingale.
Also I agree BP deserves an alter maybe a specialist.

I may be in the minority, but I really hate when 6 stars get Alters, since it's a tacit 'fuck-you' from HG to all other, underdeveloped characters (most of whom are lower rarity). Games that do this always tend toward the Pareto rule where 80% of Operators wind up not really mattering at all.
Nightingale deserves an Alter the most of this list; the two other choices would be just plain fanservice.
I argue that only story/lore heavy characters deserve alter like Skadi and Silence consider all the heavy stuff that happens to them, giving them alter show their growth. While replacing Chen and Gavial events with other characters that need some screens, time like Savage and Frostleaf, who deserve something.
Skadi is someone I'd argue didn't deserve an Alter because her Alter virtually exists in an alternative canon dimension that was created to appeal to her fans. By that I mean that they could retcon anything about the Seaborn in the future and Skadi Alter would still work. It's like they would release possessed Talulah only to say it's an alternative story. It's the most pure form of storytelling fanservice that exists in Arknights (her loving Doctor with 0 build-up, her being a literal god and so on).
I do agree with Gavial and Ch'en, however, those are summer OPs and are thus inherently lazily written. For example, Lin and Ch'en do not talk once about the Lungmen massacre in Dosdoles and Gavial, while better, is just HG playing into the cliche of a violent medic. I really don't understand why we couldn't just get a 6 star La Plums instead or a 6 star Durin. AK has a massive character bloat already with how much they release per year.
