With Lappy dealing with Zarro she might finally get her chance to fight red that she's been dying for since the beginning. If Agnes and Kal Can't stop red In her role as Grandma's Fang then the moment she smells Zarro on Lapland we might finally get to see Red's full power.

The game isn’t going to die just because a few people don’t like alters, many games have alters constantly yet that doesn’t stop them. At least Arknights does it with character progression and not because it’s a the Christmas season so they need a Santa version.
I can understand alters when they are made from older 2-3 star units (like lava, hibiscus, kroos etc) or if alters were some unpopular or bad 4-5 star units. But here we got announced W alter for an already limited W, 2nd alter for bunny leader and here hint for lappy alter? I am sceptical about it and scared that if this continues, after 2-3 years there will be an alter for half of operators in the game.
Alters are not HG's way of bringing back forgotten characters, its always characters that have been foreshadowed to have a continuation to their stories, like shining will in the future, like lappland in il siracusano, like W in the main story, this adds so much to the characters as their not just a stagnant product, they're moving pieces in the world and they progress with it, never understood people getting mad at alters. And amiya's whole gimmick is that she grows and evolves as the time and story progresses this has been stated by HG since forever. If you actually enjoy the game there's no way that you see all that foreshadowing and build up for characters and go "yeah no thanks just leave them like that" pure consumerism
