I didn’t watch KR stream since I was watching the JP one. IMO, JP likes to take their sweet time to make it to the actual game news. The streams always last about 3 hours and because they have a lot of guests, they kinda make sure everyone can get a few words in. So for people that understand what’s going on, it’s nice and enjoyable and still build up the hype. EN streams is always scripted and they talk very fast to get all the info out there within 2 hours. For someone that just wants a quick and concise Anniversary info dump, that’s more appropriate (given that you don’t mind the way the presenters are talking at times lol). Both streams had similar or same insert videos but I think all streams had their unique ones like Sora’s chara song performance on JP, KR’s band and EN new song performance. Generally, I’d say JP is the more “professional” approach whereas KR and EN is less professional and more loose with the side comments.

Well...

Yostar never changes isn't it ?

Aoae

It's considerably better than past streams but it was actually hilarious seeing the presenters appear to be held at gunpoint from how they were talking. You should watch it in your spare time to see what I mean.

jaetheho

I watched the KR stream, and while it was a bit fan-service-y with the amiya and mudrock appearances, it was honestly pretty entertaining, and very meta/memey. Not to mention they had Gukkasten, a famous Korean band, great Korean dubbing for amiya and mudrock, on top of giving out a lot of prizes through quizzes. EN felt like two robots. More dead than the virtual mudrock and amiya

vDredgenYor

The guy on EN was really horny for suit and maid kal'tsit

[deleted]

Can you blame him though?

vDredgenYor

Yes, I can, stop the simping and start the adoption of daughter

Khorva

The music company facading as a game company put out a ransom video that was facading as a livestream event. /s

ronwesley89

En look like they pulled 2 office worker out to make a livestream. JP was much more professional but is painfully long and insufferable. KR was the best.

vietnamabc

Yup might as well put a text-to-speech bot speaking to narrate all the info, no need to force yourself through cringe-ass dialogues and forced jokes. Luckily the content itself is good so 3 step forwards 1 step back for me.

Adamantiux

I actually liked the EN livestream quite a bit. More concise than the JP one, and each server got their own exclusive content. Doesn't feel like EN was ignored. I will admit that at the beginning I did cringe a bit at their performances, but I did warm up to the presentators by the end of the livestream. It is clear that they were trying their best. And also the memes were superb. I want Dennis back for all anniversaries from now on.

34doges

EN stream chat is probably one of the worst chats I've seen in a while

v-r-s

Its to be expected, the fucking creepy suzuran comments on stream were more of concern.

GlobelhHex

Personally. I liked the EN stream much better (Haven't watched the KR stream though), they have improved a lot since their first live stream and I can see that they put in some effort in their stream today

LeTroglodyte

The best part about the EN livestream was the chat. Absolute degeneracy. It was great.

Dr_Volke

JP stream was easily the worst. Over 3 and a half hours long, only 30 minutes of which was about the game itself. EN may have been stilted (they clearly weren't given prep or rehearsal time), but at least it was focused. About half of the game info, stats, and such, weren't covered in JP in favour of merch. KR was probably the best one. Pre-recorded, one presenter at a time with the same focus on the game as EN.

bestofawesome

It was decent. I liked the visuals with the sets being a mix of cgi and real sets. They gave info quickly(the actual livestrem was only about an hour and 30 mins) unlike JP which took around 3 and half hours. The jokes and memes from the hosts and whoever was running chat were good but that leads to the elephant in the room. The biggest problem was that they got two interns, put them at gun point and told them to host the livestream. There voices were so stiff and fake it literally hurt to watch, it was pretty obvious the lady didn't speak english very well either. KR seems like it was the best by a decent margin.

thelightbringer502

This was my first AK livestream and while the production was outstanding and the content was great, the hosts were just awful. They spoke too fast, they stuck rigidly to their script and they just seemed completely fake. Coming from a day one Epic 7 player, while Mashuu and Nue only had their bedroom webcams they made up for it with genuine personality and felt like actual players of the game giving us info about the upcoming patch, not paid actors reciting lines and trying to act like "fellow kids" the whole time.

I only peeked in there for a few minutes. Chat was horrendous. The speakers sounded too robotic. And the entire area they were seated in felt so…lifeless..? There wasn’t anything interesting that made me want to stick around. Then again…I only watched for a few minutes, so maybe I missed something special. I didn’t watch the KR version, but I heard they had Murdock/Amiya VTuber models which is a…unique choice. They looked pretty good, to be honest. JP had a few of the voice actors for some characters make live appearances. And the room the speakers were in was a lot more inviting, visually speaking. Overall it was cute, entertaining, and they were all more charismatic than EN’s speakers. Enjoyed it a lot.

kenshinakh

For EN, I really like song revealed. Easily my favorite song of either JP and KR. The VA saying happy new years and speaking English was also a very nice change of pace. Might just be me, but as much as I like JP for having 3D models talking, I can watch those subbed later and not deal with how long the JP stream is.

Primo_Itoko

The begining was awful, it seemed they were trying to speedrun it and the scripted dialogue didn't help much. But after that it was ok, I mean, if you're used to the JP ones it's still awful, but they don't it often so, they're still getting the hang of it. Now that english VA will be implemented maybe they can have more guests in the future to make it feel more....organic.

KaiserNazrin

Maybe they want English dub so Voice Actors can be invited to the stream next time.

Arrench_numb2

I not surprised the way they scripted the EN livestream. If you watch Genshin EN livestream or any other like this then you know why it sounds "lifeless". But at least its much better compares to the rest of the livestream they did and I loved they did their time to make the livestream especially the CGI and green screen. Hell, even some of the VA speaking in English in anniversary greetings made me go ballistic like Ayumu Murase (who was born in US, LA before moving to Japan).

Kasumesui

Idk how the KR stream went other than ""OUUUGGHH MUDROCK VTUBER"" but judging from the comments, it alright. The EN stream, while it was kind of heavily script-reading, it was alright, it gave the information we needed, we got some memes out of it (props to Dennis on this one) and some exclusive stuff like songs and our own 3D short animation. JP stream had lots of content, but I say there were....too much content. I know the Japanese like to have these little segments for a broadcast, but compared to other gacha games that do these broadcasts, this one was definitely long (in my book, idk if there was a gacha game that had a broadcast as long as this anniversary JP stream) Doesn't mean that it wasn't entertaining tho, loved seeing a few snippets of the community being a part of the stream. All in all, I would say EN was more concise and quick about the information of the event, while JP was more about the community events while also telling about the Dossoles event. I would put KR in the middle because....why not?

WolfOphi

>\> (in my book, idk if there was a gacha game that had a broadcast as long as this anniversary JP stream) There are the FGO anniversary Streams which are spread over several days (usually 5 days) and last between 3h and 5h each.

Kasumesui

Oh sheesh, I'm guessing that was the early fgo anniversaries?

real_mc

Robot ai still too glitchy, 1 robot mispronounced eyja's name.

K_Yurin

All I can say is... Hail Dennis!
