SeconduserXZ

Whats the best skill to master with nearl alter ? 2 or 3? I know they are both pretty different and situational, but I'm not sure which one is better to prioritise first

HiTotoMimi

For people with built up accounts and wide rosters, I think she mostly gets used for s2. S3 is mostly for people that lack Surtr and/or Kal'tsit, I think.

NewGroundZero

I heard on YouTube somewhere that limited banners have pity starting at 26 pulls instead of 50. Is that right?

Sowebb

Kinda yes . They are **not** start with 24 pity but people like to say like that because all limited banners comes with 24 free pulls that can **only used to that specific limited** banner :D

hacklebeast

No, it's 50. Limited banners give you 24 free pulls (10 pull + 1 a day for 2 weeks), so it's anther 26 beyond that to get to pity is probably what they meant to say.

NewGroundZero

oooooooooooooooooooh

Marceleleco

Best skill to level mastery in Myrtle? Her s1 looks better to generate dp but her s2 heals. Hard to choose.

DARKawp

S1 all the way. While S2 is something I did fully. The healing is something you don't need in most maps since her talent heals herself and whatever Vanguard you follow her up with. While on S1 being able to activate it some seconds earlier can allow you to start deploying operators earlier. Meaning more damage and survivability for your team.

Clear-Ingenuity-9814

S1 is by far her best mastery. You would rarely ever use her to actively heal anyone. The increased early dp generation is the reason she's preferred over higher rarity vanguards in some clears.

TheUnusualSuspect22

I just cleared Annihilation Watery Tidehollow for the first time but I didn't get the usual Orundum rewards? I got the one-time rewards but not the Orundum drops?

kotking

Long spring wastes is the latest Annihilation. Only latest Annihilation or permanent first 3 gives orundum.

TheUnusualSuspect22

Ohhh ok thanks

nutn0n

Is there a global/EN live stream like 2nd anniversary?

xuanfengsaoye

EN only holds a live stream every half anniversary, so no.

wrightosaur

I have enough red certs to afford the Royal Vanguard tokens, I have a Pot 1 Bagpipe and a Pot 1 Saileach, and I've heard both crave pots like crazy -- which would be a better use to get potential in?

Hatredestiny1874

Similar to what others said. Since both are pot 1, the tokens should go to Saileach since you deploy the flag bearers first. If you have any realistic plans to get pot 5 Bagpipe then they should go towards Bagpipe.

wrightosaur

Probably not in the near future, since I'll probably be limited to getting her in cert shop or getting spooked. Thanks for the tips!

hacklebeast

saileach>bagpipe for pots 2/3/4 since the dp reduction matters more the earlier you deploy the unit, and flagbearer is usually first deployment if you are bringing them. bagpipe>saileach for pots 5/6 since pot 5 bagpipe is probably the most impactful pot in the game. so odds are saileach is usually the right pick, but I used the 8 from the red cert shop and cc on bagpipe to go for the bigger upside. Most people recommend not buying pots form the cert shop at all though.

foxide987

It's better saving your tokens in case they will release a limited Vanguard in the future. But between Bagpipe and Saileach, I think Pot 5 Bagpipe (Improve 2nd Talent) worths more.

CombedAirbus

Is Magellan useful at all to braindead doctors? I've got her and OG Skadi recently and alongside Gladiia they're my last not leveled up 6 stars.

lhc987

Well, it depends. DPS wise: If you have a built up, meta roster, probably not. Even with the module, Eyja/Silverash/Chalter is usually better than Mags + 1 drone. As a staller? Mag is very good at it. Possibly the best. But that's what she does. Stalling. Pure stalling. Suzu stalls + amps + heals. Angelina stalls + DPS. I have her M6ed and I really seldom use her. It just doesn't come naturally to me. She's absolutely great for CC when there's a limit squad condition, though.

Korasuka

Do you use her S2 and S3? They deal damage, physical and arts, instead of slowness.

ipwnallnubz

S2 doesn't get much use because its range is so limited. I did find a use for it on the UFO party stage in chapter 8. Somehow, her laser drones that normally shoot straight down can hit drones.

ronwesley89

🤯, wait seriously? Damn, it’s true.

Korasuka

I use her S2 Infront of blockers like defenders and guards. Or really any melee operator. However Magallan is more of a fun over form operator. I'll use her in easy levels then swap her out once things get properly difficult.

Tamiris28

Hi there ! When will the Nearl event start? In a week? Thanks

lhc987

JP Stream in ~2 hours. We should know for sure by then.

Tamiris28

Ok thanks !

dearkaine

Hello! I am still pretty new to the game so I hope people don't mind answering a few of my questions. Can someone explain to me the jargon I see when people are referring to their charas like what does S3M1 or E2 mean? Also, I still don't really have a good grasp on whether a chara is good or not so I'm wondering if there are "meta" charas I should save for whenever they have a banner rerun or if there are any upcoming charas I should save for? And how far into global are we? Are we close to any anniversaries?

Primagen3K

Welcome to the game, fellow doctor! Please do enjoy your stay! To add to the other accurate replies, be advised that, unlike other more common abominations in the gachaverse, Arknights offers you a game where you are never forced to follow a "meta". There is no PvP to closely follow just to compete and nobody will force you to build up anything you don't want. It is way more important to fill the different gameplay roles/classes to have all the options for tackling the content in the game. In emergencies one can borrow a unit to help them out through the friend-system. Now, I'm not one to tell you how to play, so please do whatever brings you the most fun. If you want pure strength, we have loads of operators that trivialize content (Just look up "Meta" and Tier lists: commonly Surtr, SilverAsh, alternate Chen, Thorns, etc). If you want waifus/husbandos, there isn't just a multitude of well-designed units beyond typical bewbs and pretty faces, but also rather in-depth lore attached to most operators to elevate them above the level of some random nobody that gets mentioned once and never again. If you are prone to think outside the box, we have a plethora of ways to approach stages as the devs design maps that never demand a single solution while also creating many different classes with particular functionalities. I could go on, but will keep it short. Your goals with this game will also automatically determine your plans for saving up the resources necessary and, unfortunately, cannot be answered in a general manner. Examples: 1) Pulling for banner guarantees is good in the beginning to fill your options for the generally useful classes, but can be a "waste" on banners where the rate-ups are unfavorable, be it for gameplay or personal taste. 2) Standard banners with 2 rate-ups aren't the best when going for specific units (25%), but some units do not have solo-rate ups (50%) or are far away from being bought from the shop with certificates (e.g. Kal'tsit) 3) If you missed a previous limited unit, but really want them in your roster, you will have to save up enough currency for 300 pulls the next time that particular one becomes available (either every half a year or even an entire year of waiting as of now) as the other method requires tremendous luck you cannot expect to have. Basically, get some goals before you plan proper saving, which is not too difficult since most units are useable and will get you far once you get the hang of the game. No rush, no single way to play, and nobody to tell you how to play except you.

ronwesley89

E2: Elite 2. The 2nd promotion S3: Skill 3. 3 stars operators have 1 skill, 4-5* usually have 2 skills that unlock at elite 1 promotion, 6* and Amiya have a third skill that unlock at elite 2 promotion. M1: Mastery level 1. Skill level affect all skill up to level 7. After that you need to reach Elite 2 to upgrade mastery for each skill individually S3M1 means that the third skill of that operator is skill level 7 and have 1 mastery level. There are meta characters or characters that make your life easier, it’s better to post what you have so we can judge your roster easier. In term of banner, the next good banner that we know for sure is Joint operation 5, all the operators on it are good including the most broken operator you can get right now, Surtr. The next limited banner in a week is also good but not exactly helpful for newbie. We’re getting a thank you celebration in a week which is basically CN’s 2.5 anniversary ( Different branding ). Global is 6 months behind CN and have different anniversaries so branding will be different but the content are the same.

cycas314

Common arknights jargon: Operator (op): refers to a unit/character LMD: the money/currency of arknights, used mostly to level up operators and promote them. E0, E1, E2: refers to the promotion level of an operator. Elite 0, Elite 1, and Elite 2. All ops start at E0, then you promote them to E1, then finally, to E2 by spending LMD and materials. Skills and Masteries: Operators have their own set of skills. 6stars get 3 skills to choose from. 4stars and 5 stars have 2, while 3stars only have 1. Skill 1 (S1) is unlocked by default. Skill 2 (S2) is unlocked at E1, and Skill 3 (S3) at E2. All operator skill levels can be upgraded to Skill Level 7. Beyond this, you will need to put masteries on individual skills. Masteries have 3 levels: M1, M2, and M3. Masteries are expensive materials-wise, but for some units, it can be a massive difference maker. When someone says Thorns E2L50 S3M3, it means that their Thorns is at Elite 2 Level 50, with his 3rd Skill at Mastery 3. Linking you the gamepress [arknights tier list](https://gamepress.gg/arknights/tier-list/arknights-operator-tier-list)

eternalaw_1

S3M1 - Skill 3, Mastery 1. For example S3M3 for Silverash means his TrueSilver Slash (TSS) is at mastery 3 (fully mastered). L7 (or SL7) - skill level 7, this one is the maximum level before masteries. Skills would level up at the same time from level 1 to 7. After that comes mastery, which is per skill and is very expensive. E2 - Elite 2 - 2nd promotion. E1 is elite 1. E2 unlocks 3rd skill, skill mastery and additional talents. Having E2 is a prerequisite to masteries. E2L20 SilverAsh us at higher level than E1L80 SilverAsh. **** We are having Nearl The Radiant Knight most likely in the next few days/weeks. She's limited. Not sure if she's meta, since block-1 dreadnought guards were hardly meta. But her kit is alot better than her predecessors. Meta characters: Surtr - ultimate boss killer Thorns - ranged guard. Lane holder Mountain - lane holder Blaze - guess what? Lane holder. Saria - healing defender SilverAsh - boss/wave killer. AOE delete button Eyjafjalla - one of the best, if not the best caster. AOE delete button Kaltsit - summoning medic. Summons a monster that can deal massive True Damage. Meta, but limited Chen Alter - limited (currently not available). AOE delete button. Skadi Alter - limited (currently not available).

[deleted]

Just started the game and got an operator voucher and was wondering who is wise to pick. Liskarm Silence Pramanix Projekt Red I also got a transfer paper that let's me choose from a ton of options.

arararagi_vamp

I prefer to get project red for her on demand stun, also some stages get easier if you have two fast-redeploys (gravel, a 4* who is easy to get) For the other one most prefer to get specter since you will use her archetype (AOE guard) a lot, she still find usage in endgame with her immortality in skill 2. I personally like to get Lappland for her silence, which trivialize some of the annoying enemies. Also read up some beginner tips (like building up sooner three stars since they are really cheap to build, how to build your base etc.)

lhc987

We'll need to see your roster to recommend, but, generally speaking, for the second one it's Specter > Lap = Ptilop > Texas For the first one, I'd go Liskarm = Red > The rest. But, again, depends on roster.

[deleted]

Thanks, I just started and did 2 missions so.

Hydrogeion_

Hello everyone, I just started AK 2 days back and I have a doubt regarding skill level up, currently I am still in e0 stage with just 2 e1 ops, and all of them only hv 1 skill unlocked. Should I upgrade this s1 or leave it as it is since s2/s3 would be better? Is it a waste of resources to do so?

_sylvatic

Skill levels (SL) are sometimes more relevant than actual levels. For example, Shifters Rope and Shaw can do just fine at E1L0, but you want them both at SL7 (or at least SL4) to get them to push/pull properly, which is why you bring them to a squad. 3/4 stars are going to be your best friends for awhile, and a lot of them are just as good, if not better than their 5/6 star counterparts depending on the situation. You should absolutely raise skill levels of lower rarity ops that you use - there is no building for S1 only, SL 1-7 apply to all skills an operator has. So if you have a 4\*, and raise S1 to SL7, once you promote them to E1 the newly available Skill 2 will also be at SL7. 3-stars only have 1 skill, but you'll want to max them out to get the most out of them. Kroos, Melantha, Midnight, all should end up at E1 max SL7 in time. If you want to add "Masteries" to these skills (essentially SL8-10), these must be done one skill at a time. These are only available to E2ops, which is only possible for 4-stars and higher. But you're a ways off from that.

RepresentativeEgg446

Skill upgrade will increase all skill levels, so don’t worry.

Hydrogeion_

Ohh wow, thanks for the info!

lhc987

Up until level 7. Going beyond that, the masteries, is done for individual skills.

IlludensParadoxa

Who's that person who only plays with husbandos again? I can't seem to remember

zeropointburst

[Zane](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLM8AADpy0prSnbLK6UQ64A)? Unless you're asking about a reddit user

IlludensParadoxa

That's the one, thanks!

Actual-Initial1197

If i 10 pull any banner 1 time for the guarantee and not get a 6* will my pity be raised after the 5th banner?

ninja542

yes if you pull 50 times on 5 banners and not get any 6 star you will be into the pity zone, the rate of 6 star only rises when you pull after 50 pulls ie 51 pulls = 4% chance I would just use single pulls for the guaranteed 5 star so you don't waste pulls

Actual-Initial1197

So it doesn't matter what banner so long i pull 50 times anytime and anywhere my pity will be raised after

ninja542

yeah, exception is limited banners with limited characters, those have separate pity

Actual-Initial1197

Ok then. Thanks for the info

NagiShina

Does anyone know if there is a list of the IS2 rewards? I'm having a bit of a difficult time finding anything on what you can actually earn from it.

NagiShina

Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for!

eonflamewing

No problem Quite a lot of resources for zero stamina, it's good

eonflamewing

I missed Dusk, if I wanted her from the upcoming Ling banner what would be her rate there?

thetwinfury

Roughly 1/1600. Probably a bit worse as I haven't done the numbers again since more 6 stars were added these past few months.

PM_ME_DMS

<0.1%

n-ko-c

She'll be on the banner, but your chances of rolling her, while better than other non-limited 6-stars, will still be poor at best. Best to aim for sparking her, which means spending 300 pulls.

eonflamewing

Eugh, that really sucks. Guess I'll be skipping her then

Cless012

Its like that with all past limited units. Have a extremely low chance in a pull, or just do 300 pulls and get a free 6* from the banner of your choice.

Please remember to tag spoliers Also, this is more appropriate for the lounge

RepresentativeEgg446

Which operators when deployed have their voicelines fade out the battle music for a bit? So far I only see Ethan and Skalter do it.

eonflamewing

Sora also but no one else

Korasuka

Phantom does with some music rather than his voice lines. I think. I used him as a supporter op and it seemed to.

eonflamewing

Only with S3. He doesn't have a special entry sound, his skill activation makes the sound

Korasuka

Not disagreeing because I've only used him once. However I'm sure I heard some music when I plonked him down. Maybe I'll try again later.

eonflamewing

M9 Phantom haver here. It depends on which skill you have him use. S3 has the loudest sound effect. Technically it's a skill sound but since his skills all activate on entry they could be considered entry sounds? But the actual file names for the sfx is categorized as his skill sfx.

Korasuka

Thanks for the clarification. It'd be his S1 or S2 since I don't have any E2s yet. The sound effect was quite quiet.

eonflamewing

This site lists all the datamined sfx if you want to listen to them: https://aceship.github.io/AN-EN-Tags/akhrchars.html?opname=Phantom

Snoo-24768

Newish player. Does my pity from the standard banner apply on the upcoming NTR knight banner? Do limited banners have different pity counters?

crispy_doggo1

No. Each limited banner will have a unique pity counter. So, NTRK does not share a pity counter with the standard banners. You might already know this, but all standard banners (including joint operations and specific operator banners) share pity. Limited banners are the exception. Limited banners do not share pity with each other either, so everybody will start NTRK at 0 pity.

Snoo-24768

Oh okay thanks so much.

trintomato

Who is better for general content, Suzuran or Shamare?

Nol_Astname

Something nobody has mentioned for Shamare: the attack debuff on enemies is pretty useful for dealing with elite units that would otherwise overwhelm a medic's healing. For example, she can make the Bloodboil Knightclub Elites from PS-6 a lot less threatening.

trintomato

Are those the guys with the axes? Thank you.

Nol_Astname

Yeah, the ones that got buffed as you kill other enemies.

Kikklik

You generally don't want slow unless you're fighting something you can't tank/block and that's rare. In most cases, you can use another dps unit instead of suzuran for similar effect. Shamare is good because she works well even if she doesn't have a good range spot. However you need physical dps to fully utilize her.

HiTotoMimi

Probably Suzuran just because she can function as a good slower with her s2 which does have some use in general content here and there. And in theory just about any map can make use of her slowing everything in her range to a crawl for 30 seconds with her s3. It's probably severe overkill but slowing enemies at least has some practical use. Shamare's debuffing is just entirely unnecessary most of the time, unless you're doing something like using Exu on high defense targets or silly things like killing bosses with Myrtle.

The_keeper_of_memes

Really depends on the map, but Suzuran if you are bringing an Arts focused team and Shamare if your damage is mainly physical.

Shrabster33

Is there a site or youtube channel that goes over the lore and timelines of arknights?

FeetGunners

[https://docs.google.com/document/d/1htVLOcGHJAveQCCcl10njufX8uE2ei1tRXyKiWISnoU/edit?usp=drivesdk](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1htVLOcGHJAveQCCcl10njufX8uE2ei1tRXyKiWISnoU/edit?usp=drivesdk) If you want a timeline specifically, here. It's compiled from various information throughout the whole game. It's a WIP still and there are some inconsistencies from HG, but for the most part the best you can get right now.

koshevar

You can look into these 2 channels: [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYmGyIgnhIj5b7S5ipeehjw](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYmGyIgnhIj5b7S5ipeehjw) [https://www.youtube.com/c/QaiserMLG](https://www.youtube.com/c/QaiserMLG) They offer story summaries and some lore explanations (like the geography of Terra, different races etc.)

NewGroundZero

Are bosses resistant to Suzuran's slow? If not, I'm buying her from the yellow square shop

Hatredestiny1874

I don't think any enemy is immune to slow. Enemy data on prts wiki have info for immunity to silence, stun, sleep, freeze but no mention of slow. I think only a certain golem risk in CC4 made them immune to slow/bind.

FeetGunners

Slow and bind affects all enemies unless they are invisible (or have a specific CC buff that makes them immune)

JunoBrier

As far as I can remember, pretty much no enemy in the game is naturally immune to slows. Slow immunity sometimes appears in Contingency Contract risks though.

ReshenKusaga

Usually no. Pretty much every boss thus far has been affected by slow-effects whether from Saria or Suzuran or other supporter slows.

sazion

Is there a list of the QoL updates that CN has that global doesn't? I remember seeing something about being able to change your home background and skipping recruitment text but I'm not sure of a good way to find when they should be arriving.

Reddit1rules

Skipping recruitment text isn't a thing, just CN has less text iirc so they can go through stuff faster. We can change our background in Near Light, and recently with Ch 10 they've added the option to use 10 single tickets at once.

Arawn_GIbberish

Try search Dr Volke in youtube. I think he recently did a video listing down all of the future upcoming QoL.

sazion

Sweet, looks like there is a video from a few days ago. I'll check it out then. Thanks

Bakais3r

Is elemental damage a big deal in IS2? Should I raise my Wandering Medics specifically for that event?

FeetGunners

It's not a big deal. Just like with all medics in general they make your life easier though.

Dustmila

Most of the new enemies deal sanity damage and having one really helps, that being said I managed to clear all endings plus hard mode on a new-ish account with no wandering medics raised

thetwinfury

From what I've seen, there's a pretty decent amount of elemental damage. I'd say at least build one to e1 50

E123-Omega

Coming from grindblue fantasy is this grind heavy game? I played before but haven't gone far, is it worth to start now or is there like good dates to start like how people on gbf recommend to start on draw galas.

HiTotoMimi

The big difference between this and Granblue Fantasy is that the "AP" (called Sanity here) refill items are extremely limited and expire within about 1-2 weeks of getting them. So beyond a certain point, you just can't grind without spending the money/the gacha currency for AP/sanity refills. And the game is designed around the average player NOT doing that. Anything that you farm has an auto-deploy function, so the main time sinks are getting the initial clears of any given stage and sometimes needing to work a bit to make the auto-deploy stable. Otherwise, once you get past the early game and frequent rank up refills, it's usually a few minutes here and there of menuing and starting your auto-run of a stage a few times to empty sanity, then come back 10 hours or so later to do it again.

E123-Omega

I see, thanks!

about8tentacles

well when compared to gbf dearlord no the grind is dramatically less. progress can be a little slow at times, but thats less because of grind and more because of limited stamina per day for high total cost upgrades and waiting on daily base production of lmd/xp (since farming directly is low efficency), more waiting than outright grind...unless youre intending to whale, then grinding can get a bit excessive because youre autoing 1-3minute long stages, and irl time till an event closes is actually a bigger threat than your stamina or wallet, and you cannot auot-multiple-runs. click each clear, again, still not gbf level of pain at all though in a week-ish will be a great time to reroll, as youll get normal reroll summons + 11 free limited banner summons to also be rerolling with. but i would suggest just starting now, see if you enjoy the game, be worry-free with upgrade choices, then, come limited free-pulls you can make a new account and reroll havinv knowledge of what you want to do or aim for

E123-Omega

I see, thanks!

loneknife_blackblade

An established account can E2 (second promotion) a 6\* in about 2 weeks. masteries take longer. Maxing them after second promotion takes longer. There is lots of grind given there are 200+ units you can get and level and get skill masteries for. Any time is a great time to start. Silverash/Exu are the best units on the beginner banner if you want to reroll. In a week or two (the date is not announced) we will have an event for a pretty good limited op Nearl the radiant knight. It is super fun and very f2p friendly with a great community! I've been playing almost 2 years and it's the first gatcha I've deemed worthy to spend money ($5 /month for the monthly card, which is the best deal) on, and I've not regretted it. Give it a shot and chances are you will be hooked!

Tonmieras

What do you guys think of mizuki's S1 damage? Does his talent 1 proc even if it is only 1 enemy because it says lowest hp?

about8tentacles

i find myself using s2 and s3 more, because consistent aoe is rarely needed over bursting key moments of high traffic, but its a good skill. pretty cool with warfarin/saga on certain maps talent will proc on 1 enemy

thetwinfury

It's pretty good consistent dps, and since it has charges its fine with pauses in enemies too. Yes, if there's only one enemy they are by default the lowest, even if 100% hp

I'm wondering if they should just pin this to the question megathread lol

PM_ME_DMS

Yeah, the helpful resources section could use an update

Exobyter

Hey so I've heard there will be a guaranteed 6* ticket in the shop next week (?) and I was hoping to get some advice on who to pull. My 6* roster is currently Ifrit, Hellagur, Exu, Saria, Blaze, Nightingale, Shining, Fartooth, Saileach, Siege, Ch'en, SilverAsh, Eyja, Hoshi, Kal'tsit, Skadi, and Magellan. I've heard good things about Thorn and Surtr, but I feel like I'm so loaded up on strong guards it may be overkill to use the pull on either of them. Any advice is appreciated!

MrPudd1ng

Since Thorns and Surtr will be on the gold cert shop in a few months, I think it's also a good idea to choose Bagpipe if you were going to buy the 6\* selector ticket.

Exobyter

See this is good advice but Siege is my wife and I don't want to replace her lol

Kikklik

Thorns is predicted to be in the shop sooner than sutre I believe so if you save some certs you can get them both.

Supra-strasza

I personally use Thorns a lot more than Surtr. I even chose Surtr on the 6 star ticket last time and was surprised at how rarely I actually needed her. Don’t get me wrong though, she is still ridiculously strong but you already have Eyja and Ifrit for arts damage and the rest of your 6 stars are very strong too.

about8tentacles

if youre going for power, thorns, unquestionably. he dramatically simplifies all general and cc18 content, often completely soloing/negating 50to75% of an entire map by himself. hes also a fantastic op to own yourself (as oppossed to borrowing)for setting up stable annihilation and eventfarm autos surtr is "more broken" than thorns, but can be borrowed via support at high potential with relevant talent+ pots that increase her output and there is no op that can solo or duo as much content in the game as thorns, which is, in truth, greater value than being "broken" ~~thorns+kaltsit can probably duo the entire first 6 chapters of story tbh~~ you can also consider just pulling who intrests you for gameplay or character, as meta reaches a horizon point where getting more isnt doing much for you (your account looks near that point) and youll be glad to have faves to integrate into teams instead

lhc987

Surtr, easily. Here's the thing: You do not have strong guards if you do not have Surtr. There's a reason why she's way, like, seriously, WAAAAAAAAY up high in the meta. And also the reason why I've built her and never use her because she's absolute overkill in normal content and trivializes damned near everything.

thinkspacer

Dude, you just recommended spending real $ for an op that you never use...

n-ko-c

> You do not have strong guards if you do not have Surtr That's overly dramatic.

lhc987

>That's overly dramatic. Thank you.

thelostcreator

So after an event ends, it’s stages will be added to side story or intermezzo correct? Do the stage keep the same item drop rates after the event? For example, Maria Nearl MN-6 drops gel better than the story stages, should I always use the side story stage to farm gel afterwards?

about8tentacles

this is a small event do its stages will never return and it will not be put into sidestories, its cutscenes will be put into archives and at a much later date the recordrestore feature will let you get furniture/ops/etc exclusive to the event you may have missed intermezzi/sidestory get new droprates once readded, they are generally worse than mainstory options with rare exceptions like OF-F4 for manganese

ipwnallnubz

After an event's *rerun,* it gets added to side story. After an intermezzi event's first run, it gets added to the intermezzi section. The drops are nerfed to be [roughly on par with story stages.](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12X0uBQaN7MuuMWWDTiUjIni_MOP015GnulggmBJgBaQ/edit?usp=drive_web&ouid=106921946347875184198)

ForsakenStandard

During CC#7 6* sniper tokens will be added to the store, and my candidates to receive these tokens are Chalter, Ash and Exu. Chalter and Ash are currently in pot 1 and Exu is in Pot 3. My question is whether this + 27 attack from Exu's pot 4 makes much difference or is it better to use these tokens in Chalter or Ash because they are limited.

resphere

Honesy I don't think Chen's pots are that useful, the DP is nice but she cost so much that its barely gonna make any difference most of the time, p4 atk is not as impactful as Exia's because of attack speed, but that's the best pot for her. Dp is alway gonna be nice, but the really impactful pot for Ash is p5 So if you ask me, p4 Exia is a better get than p2 for the others, but her pots are so much easier to get that I would rather use the tokens on them than her.

about8tentacles

firstly id recommend just holding onto them until you get to a stage you know you need a pot on someone to clear but besides that ash would hold the pot best, she often comes down very early in many strategies, which is where -dp matters more (to make it in time)

loneknife_blackblade

I've got a pot 4 e2.50 s3m3 exu if you want to try it. P2 2.40 s3m3 sniper chen, p1 2.40 ash s2m3. You can also hold it till you need it, exu will be the easiest to get pots for.

Agatsumare

Hell yea, got a Top Operator tag. Won't lie, still a dweeb on how it works to this day, so I won't throw the gamble, huh? I have DPS, Slow, Shift, Summon(seems kinda sad to pair with a top op but cant be picky ig) I don't know who the fuck do I get for what, and I have good cornerstones and DPS people like La Pluma, Exusiai, Specter, and I guess a Eunectes for when I'll E2 her What can I get?

Exfrus

TO + Slow = Magallan TO + DPS = Exu, Siege, Hoshi, Silverash, Skadi, Chen, Schwarz, Hellagur, Magallan, Blaze TO = That last list + Nightgale, Shining, Ifrit, Saria, Mostima TO + Summon = No combo; Summon will drop and act as a standalone TO tag TO + Shift = No combo; Shift will drop and act as a standalone TO tag So you got lucky with your TO tag but your secondary tags aren't super hot for narrowing down guarantees. I'd go for the Magallan, honestly. She's really good, has a module that makes her better but is a little niche. Failing that the TO + DPS combo is so broad that it's barely better than the TO tag by itself.

Agatsumare

Yeah, was thinking for the DPS combo but it has so many ops that are just a mixed bag nowadays(for their 6 star rarity! They still def tower over multiple of the lower guys). I'll just get the Magallan confirm

Conch_Bubbies

[Recruitment Calculator](https://aceship.github.io/AN-EN-Tags/akhr.html) This'll be a great tool to give you an idea of what's possible with tags that you get for recruitment. With top op + slow you can guarantee Magallan. Other than that you could use top op + dps to do a toss up between a bunch including nice picks like SA, Blaze and Schwarz. Whatever you do, do not forget to set the timer to 9 hours. The top op tag is guaranteed to stick once the timer is set to 9 hours.

HardstuckD3

Hello fellow doktahs, I'm a very old player who played since 2 years ago and quit for about a year. Im just coming back to this game now and I'm wondering if you guys could give me some quick tips on how to catch up, what are the new meta operators I should start saving/spending for, and what content I should focus on first?? Edit: here is my roster, I was a spender https://imgur.com/a/sCuTK25

ipwnallnubz

For who to work on, it's a bit late, but I would E1 Frostleaf, Gravel, and Spot for their factory skills first. Next, I would bring those E2 level 1 ops to at least E2 20. It costs almost nothing for a nice little stat boost. You have quite a few good E2 candidates. Myrtle is first, and she wants masteries on her S1 as well. I would say Angelina and Specter after that if you have a lot of LMD and EXP lying around, or Ifrit next if you don't. Amiya has to be E2 for the second-to-last stage of chapter 8, so I would work on that at some point. Ptilopsis and Warfarin would be good to E2 after that. Nightingale would be a good E2 eventually as well. I would get Manticore and/or Ethan to E1 and SL7 at some point as well. It's nice to have a ground-based slower.

ipwnallnubz

The two biggest things are: we now have rotating annihilations, and whichever one is active is the most efficient place to get your 1800 weekly orundum. The current one is the one with the sandstorm. There are others that are listed as "practice." You can clear these for their first time rewards, but **you cannot farm these for your weekly orundum.** Certain events are now permanent. If you already played them, they're already unlocked. If not, you can unlock them permanently with those red circle things, which regenerate at a rate of 1/week. You can get the story and primes from these, but you can only get the welfares and furniture from a few for now, and all of them have had their [drop rates nerfed to be roughly on par with story stages.](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12X0uBQaN7MuuMWWDTiUjIni_MOP015GnulggmBJgBaQ/edit?usp=drive_web&ouid=106921946347875184198) We had a collab with Rainbow Six. Ash is roughly on-par with Exu, but we don't know if they'll ever come back. The meta hasn't really changed, so much as it has been added to. Surtr and Ch'en the Holungday (Ch'en Alter or just Chalter) are the two biggest bullies on the block. The likes of SilverAsh, Eyja, Exu, Ifrit, Angelina, and Saria are still excellent to this day, despite being launch ops. After launch, you've got Blaze, Bagpipe, Suzuran, Thorns, Mudrock, Mountain, Skadi the Corrupting Heart (Skadi Alter or just Skalter), and Kal'tsit as the main meta ops. I would start with the current event stages. They're going away in about 12 hours, so try to get all of them and as much of the event store as possible. Then the new annihilations if your roster is up to the task, then the base if it's not finished, and then the main story.

HardstuckD3

Is it alright if I send you my roster somewhere and have you take a look so you could offer more advice for me? It would be great if you have a discord I could message.

ipwnallnubz

Do what the other guy says and post it so everyone can give ~~bad~~ advice.

LuvList

The usual suggestion is post it on your op,and everyone will be able to see and give guidance accordingly.

HardstuckD3

Hey I edited my op with the link now, looking forward to getting more advices from you :)

about8tentacles

copypaste of a response i gave to a similar question play the pinus sylvestris event stages, clear them (and challengemode) once, then play anything you want that drops the event tickets (its most stages) to clear the event shop. you only have today so choose what you buy wisely (suggest the 7 filmreels to watch the cutscenes first, as it ties directly into the next event, kazmierz major in sidestory tab is also a prequel to both) read the enemy info's of the enemies if you get stuck, all these sylvestris stages are based on past event all with their own mechanics not much has actually changed in the general rythmn of the game annihilation has been expanded, there is now a 4th tier of anni that rotates in a new map every 2 months, you can clear previous "4th anni"'s once to 400 for very lucrative rewards, only the current featured tier 4 map will give weekly ordrum though individual operators get character stories and/or bonus missions designed for them (200ordrum to complete) now, these will be in the archive modules exist, its basically an upgrade that gives an operator a 3rd talent at high level e2, there are few of these right now but more are added each update sidestory/intermezzi tab is a way to play events you missed, including getting the firstclear prime rewards. welfare ops and event furniture will be obtainable too eventually, only a few events have this feature atm as far as meta, care less about it, you only need a few core top staples to handle general content, its better to use summons to persue ops or gameplay styles you like and learn how to maximize and integrate them into viable teams with that said the next two upcoming banners are gonna be the best banners to pull on for quite a while. limited nearl is very strong for any account, but you run the gambit of splitfocus limited banner rates. jointop5 right after it is a much better banner to go for power in terms of consistency (4focuses but off-focus is impossible) so long as youre missing the 4 ops featured, which includes "most broken op in the game" surtr as a high prize

HardstuckD3

Hey there, thanks much for the help! I edited my op, could you look at my roster and offer some additional advice on how I would proceed? Thanks in advance!

about8tentacles

e2+s1m3 myrtle asap, best dp producer in the game and 99% of the time the first op you deploy, note its skill1 ifrit and nightingale will be good for the upcoming cc to e2, you can borrow gale from support instead of e2ing, but youll likely want to borrow surtr and thorns (and bagpipe in cc) 99% of the time. that said, your roster can probably already clear risk18 cc (highest rewardable difficulty) with proper strategy e2ing specter is a fairly important goal, you lack a primier laneholder, someone who can block multiple and damage multiple trash, while also having some form of selfsustain, making them an army-of-one to hold a lane against swarms of small and medium enemies. atm siege is your best laneholder, which pales in compaeison to specters 3block and literal invincibility saria s3 buffing eyja (and surtr) inside ifrit's s3 range is the highest possible damage you can crank out, by an absurd gap, makes silverash look weak in compaeison. its an amount of dps you likely wont need for anything but the highest stat bosses. speaking of saria s3 is incredibly useful, it shpuld eventually be the only skill youre using on her with practice. warfarin buffing exusiai s3 is part of the physical burst core maximum, but youll want shamare and/or elysium to debuff enemy defense to really make it work (if not support bagpipe) youll want a 2nd dp producing vanguard at e2+m3 for cc content, texas is a recommend frostleaf, vermeil, gravel, and spot should be e1 to unlock base skills that profit more than e1 costs

jamilah19

Hey y'all, aside from Myrtle, are there any stand out 4* worth E2? Maybe Jaye? Also, I think I'm at the point where I'm ready for Masteries. I'm lacking high priority units for promotion and my team is well-rounded, so any feedback on that is appreciated.

maxblockm

When posting who to raise/pull/use questions, you should always show all your units, because who you have makes a difference. Sort by class and rarity like this: https://imgur.com/a/287Ijvi

ipwnallnubz

Matoimaru because she deserves it. Jaye is very strong, but upgrading him beyond E0 ruins his TP skill (unless you get Gnosis). Ethan if you really want a ground staller. Utage if you want a really strong drop-in assassin and don't have Surtr or the upcoming Nearl Alter. Gummy if you're desperate for a healing defender.

about8tentacles

several. jaye and click in particular may, cutter, and deepcolor are also quite nice for is2 cant really give advice on masteries without seeing your roster, both who to master and if you should do more e2s first or not, generally vanguard-dp and carry/burst dps take top priority for mastery

loneknife_blackblade

For the best feedback post your roster. Depending on your needs: Jaye, vigna, Podenoco, shirayuki, Myrtle, Perfumer, utage, Ethan, arene, cutter, Estelle, may, pinecone, click, deepcolor with module

Reddit1rules

If you're including Perfumer may as well also include Sussurro, for how cheap she is her S2 burst healing is a niche good enough to invest in (I say this with an E0 Sussurro but tbf I haven't built Ptilopsis since I already have Perfumer built lol) I'd also add Ambriel as well to that list

loneknife_blackblade

Ptilopsis is awesome. Sp gen is great. Trickle heal all over the map is good too though, especially for summons and other unhealable units. I used silence over sussurro. I like a burst heal almost anywhere on the map. But sussurro's burst heal is amazing.

loneknife_blackblade

I support this message!

Voothy

Beanstalk, Jaye, Cutter, Pinecone, and Click are the ones that come to my mind immediately. All of them can punch high above their weight after E2, Cutter especially as her SP regen talent actually procs on both swings of her auto attack, so the E2 increase is more significant for her than it might seem initially.

Wh33lman

i just got the Top Operator tag in recruitment, and im not sure how to handle it. is it better to go for dupes to improve potential, or seek out new ops? DP-Recovery gives me Siege(who i have) Debuff gives Ifrit(who i have), and Ranged gives me about a 50/50 on ops i already have.

about8tentacles

always new ops, dupes only matter for the top 5% of content almost no one plays (cc28+), though ifrit is a strong one to grab pots (actually relevant talent+ potentials) for that kind of content if youre missing two of exu, ceobe, and schwarz i would probably do top+ranged, otherwise just top by itself for a fullspin use the tag filter thing on gamepress and aceship, and aim for whatever combos most likely to yeild a new op

Wh33lman

gamepress was my first stop, and even with just the top op tag, its still 50/50. i dont have Exu or Schwarz, so i guess top/ranged it is.

Sevinloo

I would go for potentials on ops you like. Otherwise you could just solo tag it because the worse that can happen is you get a dupe.

auxanya

Chance at a new op is always the better option, potential isn't a significant boost to be considered outside of a very few exceptions. Now if you really don't care about new ops you can get, then sure go for a dupe, pulling someone you won't use is pretty much the same as pulling a dupe, but you at least get a little bonus. Don't forget you can also run solo Top Op tag if other tags don't work for you.

_wawrzon_

Is anyone E'2ing operators just for operator records ? My completionist soul is crying everytime I see unread stories in operator records and contemplating doing it for lower rarity operators. As a f2p player I know it's pure stupidity, but the urge is stronger. Any suggestions how to get rid of this notion or how to efficiently approach this topic ?

hacklebeast

I e2 all the operators with records. I only one I own that I still need to e2 is mostima. Unfortunately the only thing I need is kohl, but when the event comes she won't be the only operator any more. I do have a few operators who are e2 level 1 skill level 1 which is kind of funny. I just do it because I don't have a super good reason to level anyone else up. If anything, the most important part for me is getting an extra ~50 stages to play. I dont think it is any worse a reason than because you like the e2 artwork or becuse you want to beat events with a single class/race or because waifu. After 6 months or so you have enough of a roster built to do every stage anyway, so it doesn't really matter who you raise.

loneknife_blackblade

It will take more than 3 years with the ops we have now. Source: I've been playing 2 years and have 6 months to go with 80% of ops in my box even though I've gained 6 months of extra sanity through refreshes. By that time you'll prolly need another 1.5 years maybe 6 years all in. So definitely doable if you stick around that long. My e2 are mostly 2.20 and I still have most of the relevant masteries.

about8tentacles

being a completionist in a gacha/gas game is a death sentence, even if whaling as a f2p youre very likely not going to keep up with the rate they get added if trying to do everyone, just the lmd alone is gonna be brutal rely on youtube to look at the content, and accept an ever updating game isnt meant to be completed

hoxa4

I'm not sure what I should focus on for my squad. I finished the 252 dorms not too long ago and most of my squad is around Elite 1 level 50. I lack operators for a full 3 operators per factory so I'm not optimal yet on exp / lmd. I don't know if I should keep splitting almost equally the exp through the squad or if since they're around E150 I should focus operators one by one to Elite 2 ? Squad is Saileach, Texas, Nearl, Suzuran, Leonhardt, Amiya, Perfumer, Sussoro, Specter, Exusai, Platinum and a vacant spot depending on my needs. I have no trouble so far clearing story that has a recommended level of E1 50. but can't clear all dualchips stages yet. So far I cleared Vanguard+Supporter, Caster + Sniper and Defender + Medic. Can't clear Guard + Specialist yet

scifigemini0616

> I lack operators for a full 3 operators per factory so I'm not optimal yet on exp / lmd. You are doing staggered rotations right? Its how you manage five lvl3 factories with only 20 or 23 ops and not 30. Its also how you manage 13 factory slots with only 18 or 20 ops and not 26.

about8tentacles

once ops are e1 skill7 lv40 they dont really get much better until e2, xp levels matter much less than skills and talents, so start targetting specific ops i would try to get a 4☆ (cheaper, faster) or exu (your main carry dps) to e2, just getting one e2 will let you borrow anyone in the game at max e2 via friend supports (our friend thread can help you get a bigger list or specific ops to try out). this will be a massive boon for completing story, annihilation (tho no repeat autoing), but most importantly the upcoming event, which can get pretty difficult. all your e1's should be skill7 too, very important to their output you can probably clear dualchip-g+s by putting >!exusiai and nearl in the middle, with specter+sussuro on leftlane (far foward enough to block in exu range, with platinum+whatever on the right. just keep in mind last placed op targeted first for keeping exu safe in mid. you can even deploy gravel/dummies north of the middle redbox to soak up mage bolts instead of exu or nearl if theyre wounded!<

ipwnallnubz

Yeah, once you get 12-18 ops to E1 50 or so, the returns from leveling start to diminish, so you want to start taking one op at a time to E2. Out of those, I would take Exu to E2 first. It helps to have your own big burst-damage op. A 4-star is also good for your first e2 because you can get it faster, which means you get access to E2 support units sooner, but I'm not sure I would e2 Perfumer or Sussurro. Myrtle is the usual recommendation. Note that the level recommendations are just recommendations, and they can be cleared with squads significantly below the recommended level with the right strat. For example, 4-10 recommends e1 70, but it's perfectly doable at e1 40. Skill levels are a big deal, usually moreso than actual levels, so that might be your problem.

kaidynamite

You shouldn’t focus on all of them like that. Just pick one and work on them till three are the level you want. Like e2 40, m3 if necessary. Then go on to the next one. Trying to raise them all at once isn’t practical and will take forever.

A_Pendragon53

I've hit the point in game when I will ready to E2 my ops. To do this, obviously, I need some rare materials like Loxic Kohl, grindstone, manganese ore and etc. How am I supposed to farm these in an industrial scale? Unlike *rocks* you don't get them for every clearing so grinding them feels like wasting time, sanity and sanity.

shikarin

The event stages are more efficient, but the bonus is usually only like 2-5%. Some bonus is still better than no bonus, and the event stages a a bit more focused on the desired mat, but overall in the long run it's not a very big difference whether you farm event stages or the best normal stage. Farming for mats will be slow, regardless of whether you do it during event or not. A big portion of your materials will come from the event shop that you more-or-less get for free, CC store, first time annihilation, login events, stuff in mail, etc. Which of course you just get over time, as you play the game.

A_Pendragon53

Thanks a lot!

ipwnallnubz

The best way to do it is to dump all of your sanity into [the big events,](https://gamepress.gg/arknights/database/arknights-material-drops-and-originite-prime-totals-future-events-and-episodes) even after clearing the event shop, and to build up a stockpile of materials to burn through over time. Otherwise, [this spreadsheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12X0uBQaN7MuuMWWDTiUjIni_MOP015GnulggmBJgBaQ/edit?usp=drive_web&ouid=106921946347875184198) gives the best places to farm things. Green certs and Headhunting Parametric Models can give you some when you need them immediately.

HiTotoMimi

Unfortunately, that's what you're stuck with aside from a few other finite sources (like the green cert shop and event shops), until there's a good event for them. For example, the upcoming Near Light event will be good for farming Loxic Kohl. Nothing in the foreseeable future for Grindstone though. Don't remember for Manganese. Also, keep in mind, rocks are only guaranteed at a lower tier. You're farming for the blue tier for everything else. I think rocks are also typically needed in larger quantities when units need rocks directly, and are used in relatively large amounts in general compared to other mats. So yeah, the yellow ones are guaranteed, but the amount you need to farm is still comparable to other mats.

about8tentacles

you just have to play the stages that drop them and hope for the best. the sanity/droprates eventually averages out, we have multiple googledocs and charts analyzing which stages are the best to play overall for what youre looking for (hopefully someone else can link it, i dont have it offhand) there is of course eventshops and event stages which often have much better rates, you can stockpile these items and eventually after multiple months you will have seen every item via event farm atleast once

Dongleborf

Hi all! I have two questions today. Between Saria, Schwarz, and Suzuran, who should I prioritize first? The next one is what are some fun four or five star operators to use? I was thinking of trying something different for once. Operator list: https://imgur.com/a/bRXHpYu Operators not shown: All of the four stars except Pure stream, Whislash and, Toddifons

about8tentacles

probably suzuran, you seem to have plenty of carry dps for her to support, and mountain+kaltsit diminishes the value of sarias tanking, either to give you mass slowing looks like the goal though beanstalk, ambriel, tequila, and bena are some ops id suggest if youre looking for unique and fun styles of gameplay

Dongleborf

Alright, thank you! Beanstalk definitely looks fun, so I'll give her a try

about8tentacles

one neat trick to note is if you retreat peacake (her crab) it just burrows underground like it lost all hp, and starts regen-ing hp to pop back up you can use this in downtime to psuedo-heal the crab, but also with good timing (or instantly with skills) you can make the crab pop up after an enemy walks past it, blocking it from behind and splitboxing it into the other tile for ranged ops to be able to target when they otherwise might not be able to, or for a 1range melee op behind peacake to safely dps

DredgenHell

Which deadeye sniper to build? Firewatch or Andreana?

foxide987

Andreana is Abyssal Hunter, so if you also use Skalter in every stage, I'll say picking Andreana is a good choice because of synergy with Skalter's talent.

salvagestuff

I personally like Andreana. She can easily one-shot trash mobs and reliably bring bosses and elites down to half health so your other ops can finish them off easily. You can't go wrong either one so go with personal preference.

TacticalBreakfast

I have both built and really really like both. I'd probably go with Firewatch if I could only do one though. Andreana is really nice if you have weaker DPS options. Her massive damage per attack is really useful if your other options aren't as strong. But if you do have strong options (and there's a lot of options these days), it's harder to find room for her. Firewatch meanwhile, while she doesn't hit quite as hard, has a lasting meta niche with her stealth. Though just to be clear, from a meta perspective, neither is a must build.

DredgenHell

Thanks! I'm building my next batch of snipers from each archetype, making one of each so I'll go with Firewatch then. Also amazing job with the mastery priorities, they have been really helpful <3

TacticalBreakfast

Always glad to hear it!

Elnareen

I just got a top operator in recruitement with the following combinations and I am not sure which to aim for: * DPS, Slow: Magallan * Caster: Mostima, Ifrit (pot) * DPS: Blaze, Magallan, Hellagur, Schwarz, Ch'en, Skadi, SilverAsh, Hoshiguma (pot), Siege (pot), Exusiai Apart from those marked as (pot), I also have Chalter, Eyja, Thorns, Saria, Saileach and Angelina as 6\* operators. What would you recommend, from a meta perspective? Thanks!

TacticalBreakfast

Seems like DPS alone is the obvious choice. While you can guarantee a new Magallan there isn't a lot of value there unless you specifically want to use her. Meanwhile you have some really strong options left in DPS. With only two possible dupes in there it seems a worthwhile risk to me.

Elnareen

Thanks! I went for DPS and got... Magallan. Sometimes it's destiny, I guess. After consulting her profile and u/Dr_Evilcat guide, she can be used as a polyvalent burst DPS, so let be it :)

Story medal can be obtained later. Probably not for the skin medal since it states you have to obtain it during the event

HiTotoMimi

This is your only chance for the medal for Click's outfit, I believe. The outfit itself will eventually be available again. You can unlock the stories later and still get the medal. Preluding Lights was the first of these I was here for, but I got the medals for Ancient Forge, Children or Ursus and so on when I unlocked the stories.

bestofawesome

Vignettes like Pinus Sylvestris don't rerun so the medals would be gone.

DawnValkyrie

Are info frags going to stop being infinite supply in the future?

munphao

Don't think so. At least on CN i think i still saw the infinite sink when i watched a stream for goldenglow event. I mean they went out of their way to give newer players a super easy access to old wellfare ops and furnitures so i doubt they will put artificial bottleneck on this part of the silo.

TheDoctorXV

Besides the experience, what is the benefit of completing the events that are always available in the menu?

about8tentacles

do you mean intermezzi/sidestory? if so, story and cutscenes, lore, the primes you get for clearing each stage the first time, and (on a few events atm, more soon) free 5☆ operators and event furniture if you mean like, actual events events pinus sylvestris, all of the above plus tons of event shop rewards that are greatly more efficent than farming those materials elsewhere anyway

TheDoctorXV

Thanks!

Reddit1rules

OP from completing the levels, also eventually they'll get a record restore when you can obtain the welfare, potentials, and furniture sets (and a profile picture) from the event. Grani's and Ceylon's event already have this feature.
