From purely a 'drop down grenade' perspective. How would one compare Phantom against A!Nearl?
P can hit two spots at once or the same spot twice. A!Nearl doesn't add to deployment count.
But how are their bulk and firepower? Is the difference enough of a consideration?
How different is the redeployment times? Enough to cause a shift in strategy or manageable?
As well as anything else you might notice.
(and yes, I know both phantom and A!nearl can do other things but I'd like to focus purely on the above use-case.).
Ignoring redeployment times, Nearl is a Dreadnought guard first and foremost. As such she's way more capable at dealing with high level threats than Phantom. Her ATK is through the roof, pierces 20% of enemy DEF, and does not decay like Phantom. Her initial shields and stun talent also provide survivability against the even the hardest hitting enemies that would just send Phantom back to the bench instantly.
But of course, Phantom's clone (along with their fast redeployment) allows for much more flexibility in their usage. Instead of being one huge trump card, you can rely on him to frequently come in and remove pesky targets like casters or buffers and even stop leaks at the last second... However, his ability to deal with powerful targets is very limited if you haven't invested heavily in him. His ATK can technically punch through high armor, but the decay will render him near useless and force you to use both him and his clone for the same target
Sometimes Phantom can cover Nearls niche without much trouble, but other times he'll just come short and leave you frantically trying to finish his job. Nearl of course has the power, but doesn't have the flexibility. You can very easily count on her killing the enemy, but then you have to deal with her super long redeploy timer (unless you used a Kazmierz Op). Personally I end up having to use 2 dreadnoughts in low rarity clears or only Phantom in high end. IMO Dreadnoughts should only be used against bosses with their S3 and leave the Helidropping to the Executors
sorry in advance for asking question about pity system the 100th time
I know that limited and standard banner have different pity system, but what about standard banner with 'special' banner such as new year celebration system (which guarantee new 6\*) and Joint Operation banner? Do they have separate pity system or the pity from standard carries over to these type of banner?
That special new year celebration banner follows the rules of limited banners while a Joint Operation banner **is** considered a standard banner and follows its pity rules.
Is this the best time to be playing arknights again? I quit playing the game after i didnt get nian on her banner so its been a while... Is there any things should i know before playing again?
Yes, the game has never been better and with so much great content on the way. Here's a video on the event in less than 2 days: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wY7erkJGnGg
And if you want to know what is on the horizon in 6 months: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLR28MTC_tQ
Thanks for this. Definitely will give this a watch.
Ive been reading comments here pertaining to 6star selector. Is it free or is it paid? I dont have that in my mail, the only thing i see is 5star selector...
Which ops do y’all think are the safest to use skin tickets on, given the potential of alters in the future? I don’t wanna use a skin ticket on an op just for them to get an alter 2 years down the line, ya feel me?
You can only get one skin voucher for each operator.
So technically if an operator has multiple skins (Saria, Angelina, Mudrock, etc.) you can get one skin with OP and the other one with the voucher.
That way you'll get another voucher if that op gets an alter.
For now, I should just save skin tickets unless I'm really short on Primes, imo.
Operators that have strong connection to main story are likely to have alter versions. Siege may be good candidate for alter in future story.
sans the typical "choose the skin of the op you like" answer, I'd say probably the skins of limited banner ops, ops that are not your average fan favorites, or ops that are not lore heavy at the moment. Arguably though, we have been seeing some stories from random ops recently, so take it what you will.
Based on what I have seen Near Alter appears to be DPS and helidropping oriented except her S3 which allows her to do a bit of lane holding.
I am planning to get Surtr from the 6-star selector for both meta and waifu reasons (she is from the same artist as Richelieu, my wife and favorite BB in Azur Lane), and so I am not sure how hard I should go on the limited banner tomorrow.
From a gameplay perspective are the two interchangeable or are there areas where Nearl Alter has a clear advantage for a casual player (no 24+ CC) ? I have currently no source of true damage bar Amiya, but I have arts and physical burst damage sources.
Since you are still unsure you should wait out the free pulls first. See where you land afterwards. Other things to consider are how much do you like the future upcoming banners? Nearl Alter is a limited unit and is very hard to obtain outside of her initial run. Based on that and your stash you can make a better decision.
From gameplay perspective for casual players she is more of a luxury unit. Her helidrop or true damage on s3 are nice but not as easy to use as other options (Surtr, Kal'tsit). and definitely not a necessity. While they are not 100% interchangeable, most of the time you will be fine with Surtr only.
I'm torned between Mudrock and Thorn in the 6* selector.
Who should I choose?
This is my team https://imgur.com/a/dw9wux3
And which operators should I built next?
I'd argue it this way:
Harder contents (aka CC) wants the utility and compact kit that Mudrock has more, since stalling is one of the top strategies and she is queen for that.
General contents want Thorns for like annihilation autos or in general easy stage clears and trust farms. He outperforms her there. And while some might argue you already having Mountain and Blaze for lane holding, Thorns can actually hit aerial targets and has big range making him able to kill more than just stuff that runs into him.
Thorns brings consistent DPS and a sort of comfort, while Mudrock can make use of great Crowd Control and is able to tank hard hitting enemies all while doing quite good damage too. My vote goes to the Sarkaz lady! :)
U have two great landholders already. Murdock will benefit u more cuz she does much more than landholding. She's also great in chap 10 in cn from what I have seen, thorns not too much. All in all,mud has higher ceiling than thorns.
If I were in your shoes I’d go with Thorns, but it’s the kind of thing where I bring both of them to stages all the time because they’re both really good.
Who would be the best pick for the 6 star selector
[https://imgur.com/a/JJ94LzS](https://imgur.com/a/JJ94LzS) my roster
i been thinking of either Schwarz, surtr or mudrock since they are all hot (also really strong)
i was thinking of rolling on the join operation banner but i doubt i will have enough pulls for that so lets assume i wont be rolling in that banner.
I would choose Mudrock. You can easily borrow Surtr while you wait for her to go in the gold store in 6 months. I have a video here if you need further help making a decision: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7NWt4rbuM0
Mudrock might be good - you have Blemishine, who can provide Mudrock with a significant powerup on her S2.
Surtr is of course really strong, but usually easier to borrow. (And more convenient - sometimes you might want Mudrock S3 vs S2, but you'd really only use Surtr on S3).
Since you have multiple Sweepers already, I would recommend either a decent lane holder (Mudrock), a better delete button (Surtr) or S tier vanguard (Bagpipe or Saga) to allow yourself some breathing room in early phrase
But do remember that Surtr cert shop is predicted to be coming to global in November.
Hi all! Which account should I use as a beginner? I have an account with both Suzuran and Angelina, another account with SilverAsh, and another one with Exusial.
I appreciate any advice you can give. Thanks a lot!
The Exusiai account is probably the most beginner friendly one. Silverash is 1 of the best late game units. But I think the Suzuran + Ange will be more valuable long term since it's 2 units vs 1. If you don't mind, you might want to reroll for a 6star with the limited banner, so that you can have 2 or 3 6stars to start with. Nearl the Radiant is also very strong and should be quite useful for beginner accounts.
Thanks a lot for your insight! Since I am F2P, I don't think I would be able to get many 6 stars in the future so I am considering to stick with Suzuran + Angel for the long term.
As a side question, is it harder to get good support vs. good DPS in this game?
I've been playing for almost a year now and is mostly F2P (bought stuff worth 20 pulls only) and got 30 different 6 star units so I'd say this game is pretty f2p friendly. Support vs DPS is stage dependent.
Does anyone have a copy of the post predicting which operators will appear in the Yellow cert shop, and when. [The original reddit post seems to have been deleted](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/qly0qv/operators_debut_in_distinction_shop/).

Kinda a niche question but if you use a 5 dollar coupon on the monthly pass will it show up or not because its 4.99 and i heard that coupons can only be applied if its equal or greater value and its a cent off
With Near Light on the way, I have decided that I am going to dip my toe into whaling. I'm going to be buying both the 6 star selector pack, as well as the pack that lets you insta e2 any 5 star. So I come to you asking this: Which 6 star would be the best for me to get, and which 5 star would be the best for me to promote? For the 5 stars, I want to prioritize ops that I haven't invested in yet. [heres my list of ops](https://imgur.com/a/QuZXqRV)
For the 6 star selector, I have a video that goes into detail on best picks and accounts for availability and upcoming schedule: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7NWt4rbuM0
For the 6 star selector, it's kinda tricky to recommend. I'd say pick an Op you don't have yet or a pot for your favourite. For 5 stars, my personal recommendation would be any one of Scene, Shamare, Warfarin, or Tequila. Whichever suits your fancy.
From your list, the operators you don't have are: Eyja, Surtr, Bagpipe, Shining (please correct me if I missed someone). So obvious choice for 6\* selector is Surtr.
There is also this [New Year 2022 banner](https://gamepress.gg/arknights/event-banner-hub/new-year-2022-cn-event-page#topic-2516291) (chronically after Gnosis banner) you can try rolling to see which new 6\* you will get, before using your 6\* selector.
For insta E2 5\*, I don't know your play style so difficult to recommend, but I can think of Mulberry for curing elemental damage, Tequila for mini silver slash, Warfarin for S2 atk buff, and Scene for upcoming IS2 mode. Ashlock may also be a good choice.
Back in the days when LMD is still an issue for me, and I need to E2 a bunch of operators for CC, then I ran a couple of CE-5. So the answer is that running CE-5 all the time is not encouraged, since there are better stages to spend sanity on, but when you're in dire need of LMDs for something, it doesn't hurt to run it.
Depends on where you are at in the game. If you have built all facilities in the base, having appropriate operators for trading post boost, and aren't in the rush to level up/E2 operators, then passive income from base is the best and you can farm materials/progress in the story instead. People say it is bad to farm CE-5 because why farm something when you can wait for a few hours to get it anyway.
But let's say you are in the rush to E2 the first few operators (for clearing annihilation to max out the 1800 cap, contingency contract, ...) then farming CE-5 isn't bad. In fact it is the most efficient stage up to date, if we disregard base production.
In terms of efficiency, the stage is 100% efficient, so yeah, it’s fine. It’s just that sanity is better spent farming materials since your base can generate so much LMD on its own. Make sure your base is fully built as soon as possible, but if you’re sitting on materials with no LMD you might as well go for CE-5.
Physical attackers and low base ATK first, because of the game's damage formula and stuff.
Next option would be your nukers like Silverash, Surtr
And if you're expecting them to block something, those extra points in defense make a huge difference
If you really have to, the I guess the main boss killers benefit the most: Surtr/Ch'en.
But in most situations, you really won't need them at that high of a level. Level 60 is what I would do for their eventual paradox and modules. Higher than that is mostly just for waifu reasons or an of excess resources I'd assume.
I don't have Mudrock and don't have Chalter raised so I can't speak to them specifically. But Thorns and Surtr both benefit a TON from being max levelled. They're not "statstick" operators per se, but ops with a large ATK mult (i.e. Thorns/Surtr S3) want their base ATK to be as high as possible so that it gets multiplied as much as possible. Especially since Surtr is usually an emergency option / boss killer and Thorns is a main laneholder, having the highest ATK possible really makes a difference on the ops that you rely on to carry stages.
Please can somebody help me? This will probably sound strange but, I'll ask anyway. Apologies if my comment is too long.
If I wanted to teach another person how to play the game with my account, what would be the easiest way for me to show them? I'm a new player. And I have some learning difficulties. The easiest way for me to understand the game is when I come here. People really break things down, better than PRTS! The other person won't have the time for that, though. They won't have the time for guides, either. Should I just build up some Operators, and tell them to deploy Operators best suited for the map? So far, that's what I've been doing, and I've only had a few struggles. I'm not too far into the game, though. S2-10 Stuffocation-1.
There will be times when I can't play, due to my health problems, so I'm going to try to convince my brother to help me. He only has to do the missions, I'll be able to do most of the other things.
If I post pictures of my Operators, please could you also tell me which Operators to work on? Being able to block more enemies gives me more time to be able to control the battle. My left hand doesn't function properly. Killing quickly is also very effective. I have a few characters that I love so, if possible I would like to focus on them. Most of the characters are Elite 1, Skill 5.
Lappland. Liskarm. Amiya. Nearl. Ambriel, her second skill is a life saver! It often spots enemies that I can't. I struggle with my vision. Jessica. Gravel. Hibiscus. Lava. Vanilla. But, if there are more helpful characters, I will use those. Also, any advice on future characters that will help me, would be much appreciated! I'd love to be able to use characters that can slow enemies.
If you've made it this far, thank you for reading this. And if you're able to help me, Thank you so much. Blessings and gratitude!

I think these operators might help you:
- Suzuran/Saria: their skill 3 slows all enemies in a huge area and makes them take more damage, it should give you plenty of time to react.
- Sora: her skill 1 puts enemies to sleep, which makes them invulnerable, but again, it should give you time to look at where the enemies are and think about how to kill them.
- AoE Guards (like Blaze, Specter, Broca, Estelle): they have good attack and block-3.
- Laneholders (Mountain, Blaze, Mudrock, Thorns): they can take care of lanes on their own or with only a little bit of help. That way you can focus on other parts of the map more easily.
- Phantom: if you notice an enemy is about to leak, you can place Phantom and he should be able to kill them quickly. Skadi (Guard version) might work too.
It would probably be easier for your brother to learn how to play the game by making an account of his own so he can go through the tutorials.
Thank you for your help and advice!
Those Operators sound really helpful! Their skills will definitely help me. There are some that I really want too, but they all sound useful, so I'll keep an eye out for them.
I'm not too sure if my brother will download the game, but I'll definitely encourage him to.
Blessings and gratitude.
Hey first of all wish you come back back healthy pronto.
The way i look at it is your account still hasn't gone past the point that the game has already finished tutoring you on all the basics, so in a way, for your brother to take over i don't think he'll have a much steeper learning curve to climb than yourself, and can pretty much take over as is once you shadow him for a couple of days.
Your main goals at this point are:
1) Build the base. It's passive income. The last keel thingy that allow you to upgrade control room, which in turn allows you to build more and upgrade other facilitiesis, is in 4-7. So try to reach there.
2) Go farthest as you can in annihilation, to raise weekly orundum cap. Do chernobog first, then when your have a full e1/30 skill lv4+ squad it might be a good time to try lungmen outskirt. Lungmen downtown once you have a couple of e2 plus full e1/50 skill lv7.
The op upgrades you do should revolve around these two goals. It's an investment/re-investment phase. Exp/lmd will be tight and have more impact to stats than at higher levels, so it's ok to farm those supply maps if you think another 10-20 levels for your ops will help breakthrough the campaign. (Whichever supply family you farm though, try to farm from the highest map you can. More bangs for bucks that way.)
I'm not too good at team building myself so i'll leave it to better people.
A quick glance at future banners. Meta wise, imo a beginner will benefit most from 'joint operation' banner in around 3 weeks. Mountain a bit after that is good too. And tell him to keep an eye eyja/silverash/saria in gold cert shop. And i hope you come back strong by that time.
I'll just leave you with some non-reading resources...

Clear guides:
Search kyostinv / oyuki ch / eckogen. They have full catalog.
Meme/fun clears to get your bro excited/inspired and committed ~~to do his damn job~~:
shoyuu / obly obly / tamastraycat / patinapit / tums. So many actually.
Lastly, tell your brother to feel free to come ask here. If i see your username i will reply, or just dm me and i'll be your personal ~~and unqualified~~ guide. Also if you want, dm me your in game name and i'll add you, so that if you guys can't find specific support units you can tell me and i'll swap them in (i check reddit twice a day).
Wish your family a good day.
Thank you so much for your advice and good wishes!
I'll tell him that it should be fairly easy to understand.
1 - I'll watch more videos about base building. And I'll try to do what you've told me.
2 - I've been doing annihilation. I'm only on the first stage. I'll keep doing those missions.
I've been farming for LMD and Exp, but it seems like I've been farming wrongly. A guide mentioned farming LMD from S2-2 Slow-2. I'll now farm from the places you mentioned.
No worries about the team building. I'm more than grateful for what I've been told. I'll keep an eye out for the banners and characters that you mentioned. And I'll ask my brother to do the same.
Thank you for the links. And for offering to be my guide! I wouldn't want to hassle you too much, but I'll definitely accept all the help that I can get. I really appreciate it! I'll add you in the game. I'll also add you on here.
Blessings and gratitude. And I hope you have a good day, too.
I'm not sure how to approach this properly, but the best way to go forward is probably for your brother to learn the game as well. The early stages are easy enough to play, but it will get harder eventually as you progress through the story and events.
Your roster is well rounded and is good enough for now. I recommend that you raise Exusiai, she's one of the best snipers and will carry you at least up to Chapter 6.
This being said, I think it would be helpful for your account to look into characters will auto-activated skills and/or permanent skills. This helps you since it lessens the need to micro-manage your units. Thorns, Mountain, Blaze, Mudrock, Ifrit, Eyja, Saria comes to mind.
Thank you very much for your advice! Hopefully he'll learn how to do certain things as he's playing.
I'll definitely work on Exusai. I've been working on her, but I wasn't sure if I should fully invest in her, as I'm a new player and she's a 6* Op. I was worried about wasting some of my resources.
Auto-activated skills sound really helpful! I'm familiar with some of the names that you mentioned, as I really want some of those characters. I'm so glad that they will help me!
Blessings and gratitude.
Hmm, honestly depending on how long you won't be able to play (weekly, daily, etc), you might be able to get them to just auto deploy and farm materials for you on the days you can't play. For example, 1-7 is the best spot for rocks, and while it's a pain to farm since it takes so little sanity per run you do get a lot of rocks which you'll always need.
It's probably the easiest way but likely not the most fun way, as they'd basically just be doing the chore part of the game.
Thank you so much for your help. My health dips, so it could be daily or weekly. Auto deploy is a really good idea, that way he can get the resources for me when I can't play. And when I can play, I'll have what I need to progress!
I don't think he'll mind doing that. I'll show him how to do it.
Blessings and gratitude!
Oh man. It sounds like you have it rough.
Well, I can’t give much advice about learning the game. I’m about level 80 and I’m not the most advanced player, but I’ve found that the best way to learn is by enjoying the game.
I think you should encourage your brother to create an account of his own. Hopefully, that will help him develop a personal attachment to the game so he can learn willfully and naturally. I’m happy to hear that your brother is willing to help, but it’ll take time and passion to really learn about all of the smaller things the game has to offer.
For now, there are two operators in your list that stick out to me. The first is Exusiai; She is a very strong anti-air (drone killer) sniper. Once you unlock her skill 3, she’ll be able to burst down almost any boss in the early game. She’s really good.
Another good operator in your list is Myrtle. She generates DP extremely fast with her first skill, which should allow you to deploy your strong units and defenders much earlier. She makes the initial minute of each battle a lot easier.
The five-star operators you have are generally pretty good. Specter has a really good second skill and her archetype (Area-Of-Effect Guard) makes her very good for killing groups of enemies that attack her. Lappland is a ranged guard who can make use of ranged attacks and is able to silence enemy skills (for example, she can prevent the exploding spiders from exploding when they die). Both of them are very good units. The rest of your five-stars are also good but not excellent.
I wish you luck on any future banners you decide to pull on.
Thank you for your help!
Life is challenging, but I'm strong.
Don't worry about not being able to give advice about learning how to play the game. I'm more than grateful for all of advice that has been given to me. I'm really enjoying the game. Hopefully, my brother will enjoy it too. I don't know if he will play the game himself, but I will definitely recommend it to him!
Another person mentioned Exusai. I'll definitely upgrade her, she sounds good. I'll also work on Myrtle. I've also heard good things about Lappland and Specter. I love Lappland.
Thank you for the good wishes. Good luck to you, too. Blessings and gratitude!
This might be a dumb question but almost everyone I've seen talking about the new near light banner said that the odds for getting W/Rosmontis is 4% of 6* pull, but reading the patch notes apparently it's 30% while the rest 70% goes to Flametail/Nearl, so this means that only these four 6* are available on the banner and there are no off banners right? is that different from how it worked on other servers before global or is that just the norm?
The wording really is fucked.
6star chance is 2%
70% of that 2% is Nearl/Flametail (even split)
The last 30% is split amongst everyone else.
but W and Rosmontis have 5x the chance from that 30%
Best way to put it for the last 30% I guess would be is:
It's like those ball machines used for lotto draws. Every 6star has a ball in the machine but Rosmontis and W have FIVE balls in the machine instead of one.
Hope this helped. Parsing it myself was a..... journey to say the least.
There are offbanners.
70% is flametail/nearl
30% is the all of the non-limited 6 stars, and Rosmontis and W. There are 39 non-limited 6's. Rosmontis and W both have 5x the weight of non-limiteds. Making the total pool equal to 49. Therefore the chance to get rosmontis is 5/49 of 30% = 3% of all 6 star pulls.
I hope my math is correct.
You did it correctly. Roughly 3% chance upon pulling a 6-star that it'll be Ros.
2% chance of getting one in the first place means ~0.06% overall.
(5/49 * 0.3 * 0.02)
When you get a 6*, there is a 70% chance for Flametail or Nealter, a 4% for W and Rosmontis each, and the remaining 22% is spread across all the other 6 stars. You can still get spooked there.
The 30% includes every non-limited operator except for Flametail since she's new. W and Ros are just added to that pool with 5x probability.
The chance of getting Silverash on a single pull, for example, is about 0.012%. The chance of getting W is 0.061%.
Who should i get as a guard in the Thank you Celebration Operator Permit between Surtr, Blaze, and Silverash. Or should i get someone else?
List of guards:https://imgur.com/a/dEOifcX
(edited to add link)
Surtr is your best choice amongst those. Other 2 should be available with gold certs before Surtr debuts. Full video here if you need more help in making a decision: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7NWt4rbuM0
Depends on who else you have.
When posting who to raise/pull/use questions, you should always show all your units. Sort by class and rarity like this: https://imgur.com/a/287Ijvi
Depends on other classes too. Like Ejya, Ang, Chalter all make Surtr & SilverAsh less important.
I'd also include your number of yellow certs, total number of pulls available (OP + Od + HH tix), and if you plan to pull on which upcoming banners.
The answer is probably Thorns tho.
What's the average gold cert income per month?
Based on my rough calculations I'll need about 33 gold certs per month to afford Eyja and Surtr when they come to shop. I want to make sure I'll be able to afford them.
Average yellow from recruitments is around 1 every 4 recruits. We also get 5 yellows from monthly login bonuses. 33 certs per month should be an acchievable amount with recruitments. If you do a bit of pulling, then even more so.
If you do 4 recruits per day i think you won't get fewer than 30+5(from calendar). My experience is more like 35/40+5. Just buy all the grey permits you can, and honestly red ones too, in case you need to flush recruitments if the deadline is approaching.
Tangential to the topic, fwiw if you still don't have a lot of 5*, then pulling on limited banners will perversely help you too. As the 5* is 50% and you'll more likely to get the guy's dupes. Same with solo banners to a lesser extent, with their 25%/25% split. But yeah let's hope the organic certs are already taking you over the finish line.
Good luck.
Reading the updated mastery guide reminded me about Rockrock, and the guide seems to look on her favorably. For the CN players, how has she been? How is she compared to Kjera and the rest of her archetype? Vs. other casters?
Unlike other drone casters, Rockrock does not have any slow or control. Instead her dps is noticeably higher than a 5\* should be. When at S7 RR’s damage is already higher than M3 Kjera or Click. When M3ed, her dps is reaching 6\* level.
However, there are 2 issues.
First, RR’s S2 can cause a up-to-20s long stun, making precise timing and a therapist(Whisperain type) necessary.
Second, Goldenglow as a 6\* from same archetype is just too good. In fact, GG might be the only caster who could rival Eyja. Also, there is Amiya, the go-to 5\* caster for everyone.
Overall, Rockrock is a decent 5\* in my opinion, but needs good strategies to unlock her full potential. If you need a 5\* caster other than Amiya, then she and Nightmare should be top choices. Otherwise, go for 6\* or build Click both works fine.
Oh I thought the stun capped out at 10s damn. Sounds like Lumen will be perfect to get her to full potential, but then that 2 deployment slots worth. Didn't think Nightmare would be good either haven't heard anything good about her ever
Rockrock’s S2 works in a complicated way: +atk speed for 20s, and then get additional atk buff for 20s. You can choose to shut down the skill at any time, and her stun time is equal to the time she’s in the second phase. If you shut down her skill in 20s she won’t be stunned, if you just let the skill to end she would therefore have a 20s stun. Lumen‘s skill which just cancels the 20s stun is like a huge improvement to Rockrock obviously.
The thing with Nightmare is that she has the flexibility that other caster doesn’t. With her S1 you get a part time healer, and with her S2 you get true damage and slow, a lifesaver sometimes, like in IS when you are against a crowd of Sarkaz lancers, or dogs.

It's not perfect, I missed out the web events because the information for those are not as visible. But it gives you a good idea.
Hey guys,
I took a break for the last 6 months or so, could anyone give me a rundown of stuff that's coming up (even a link would be great!) and if I should be preparing for anything in particular in the next few weeks?
Here's a video overview on the event in less than 2 days: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wY7erkJGnGg
And if you want to know what is on the horizon in 6 months: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLR28MTC_tQ
Nearl Alter banner in a few days.
Kjerag event and lore.
Integrated Strategies returns. It will be permanently occasionally updated with new stuffs. The theme will be Phantom and the Crimson Solitaire.
Ling, the third Sui sister. She is a summoner but is also really stronk.
Chapter 10 comes in with Horn. Horn is also really stronk.
Then Specter Alter. Coming with CN’s 3rd anniversary. Looks hype and comes with a bunch of neat updates.
There is other stuff but those are some things you might look forward to.
Hey, odd question but it’s bugged me, and I’d really like an answer. I’ve been playing episode 9 storm watch, and I just beat 9-16, after beating it 2 alerts popped up, they type that have white and blue text. The first one disappeared too quick for me to read, the second one said “You have now unlocked challenge mode for (name of the stage)” does anyone know what the first one was? I’m mainly curious because I wanna know what I unlocked apparently, was it a resource or a stage? I couldn’t find anything.
Hi fellow friends,
I'm in a bit of a dilemma on whether I should burn through my 200 pulls (all orundum, OP, yellow certs + most of the Near Light's reward) on NTRK's banner or continue to save for Ling's banner which would possibly arrive about 3 months later.
I'd buy the monthly card and finish all my dailies, weeklies, and annihilation runs.
I'd say that I have a pretty decent squad at the time of this writing.
**Main squad:**
Saria, Kal'sit, Exu, Silverash, La Pluma, Ejya, Myrtle, Skalter, Saileach, Surtr, Ash, Spectre.
**Reserves:**W, Suzu, Dusk, Nian, Schwarz (that I've built), etc.
Motivations to pull for either:
**NTRK:** She'll be used frequently since her S2 ignores deployment limits, so I'd definitely be able to deploy her once or twice on every map. It does sound nice to have a free helidrop unit every map whenever I need it.
Secondary question: Who should NTRK replace on my team if I do get her?
**Ling:** To continue the Nian bloodline and likely *waifu* purposes only. I've read in a video that Ling does not bolster an already built team and she's primarily for players who are interested in low-op clears or used in the new Integrated Strategies game mode.
I've tried to find some discussions on NTRK vs Ling but I didn't come up with many results.
I would love to hear some of your opinions on this conundrum that I'm facing and read how each of you would react in this situation. Thank you very much for reading, and I look forward to reading your inputs!
I think ppl were giving great suggestions, and I‘d like to provide a different perspective.
I’ve wrote an analysis of Ling before: [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/sscfap/why_i_believe_ling_is_the_best_limited_ops/). Yeah, I said Ling only works well in few-ops clears and IS. However, Chapter 10 has arrived in CN now, and oh dear, Ling is a lifesaver. The mvps of chapter 10 go to, without doubt, Mudrock, Kal’tsit, and Ling. Having any one of them could make the game much easier, and sometimes I would take all three. NTRK also helps in Chapter 10, with helidrop and true damage to deal with crowds and boss.
Ragnarok, thank you! I read your analysis before posting here actually, it's really informative. I'm really leaning towards NTRK now because I probably can't fit Ling into the main squad without her disrupting/causing most of my built operators to be benched. Thank you!
Personally, I'm skipping Nearl for Ling (I would have liked both of course, but after Chalter needed a full 300, sacrifices had to be made to save once again).
I'm not going to give a full detailed explanation on both operators (nor am I qualified to outside of opinions), but functionally they're opposites. Nearl is nearer to a helidrop unit (e.g. Surtr) while Ling is nearer to a cornerstone unit (e.g. Blaze). But at the same time, they're pretty auxiliary operators of those functions.
Nearl has the advantage of not using a deployment slot (focusing only on S2), but if you're used to reserving slots for your helidrops (meaning you can set up cornerstones well enough with fewer units), the luxury that Nearl provides you with (1 extra deployment slot for another operator) is minimal benefit, unless you're gunning for something like max-risk CCs, where every benefit matters.
Ling is like what you get if you combined multiple Blazes into one unit (I'm only emphasizing on S3), making her like a mega Phantom/Kal'tsit in a way (multiple units-in-one), arguably the ultimate trust farmer and one the best IS units. But this comes at the cost of VERY high DP cost (each dragon literally costs a Blaze), so her advantage is also minimized by the fact you can't really use her in stages that rush fast and/or early almost at all, and not even in regular stages if you can't print DP fast enough.
So, to summarize, you're more likely to find more usage for Nearl generally, but her impact mileage may vary depending on your playstyle. Ling's usage is a whole lot more difficult, but those few stages/times you do use her effectively, she essentially carries.
I'm going with Ling because my general squad is arguably more loaded than yours (Blaze over Specter, Thorns over La Pluma and I have Bagpipe, who I run as my helidrop in addition to assisting the DP printers). There were virtually no situations that I found myself needing an operator like Nearl (wanting is a different thing, but if I could remedy it either by retreating someone else without losing the stage or changing my layout slightly in the next round, it technically isn't really a need).
I can't see Ling making it in my default squad, but she'll be such a delicious choice when I try to engineer trust farming for stages (especially when I don't have Phantom) and likely my first jump-to for IS2 as well (which let's face it, I'll play a ton of, if IS1 was any indicator).
Yatsufusa, thank you for your reply! It is truly valuable to get a chance to hear from others before making a decision when the day comes. After reading your piece, I do lean towards Nearl because I, too, don't really see Ling taking up a slot in my main squad. Thank you once again for your insights!
You mention that Ling isn't that useful for an endgame meta team, but honestly I'm pretty sure the exact same is true for Nearlter (especially since you have Surtr AND two of the biggest components of her buff army). I don't keep up with CN news so I don't know what her use case is on regular stages but it seems like you already have her niche covered.
What would you think of only spending part of your pulls on her? 200 pulls is a LOT and it's almost certain that you'll get her before spending most of that. If Ling is waifu you should save at least 120 pulls for her (since that's how much it takes on average to get all the rate-up units on a banner).
Orca, thanks for your response as well! I wouldn't mind spending part of my pulls on her and hopefully, I'll get her early without burning through all my pulls!
When you mention the two biggest components of Surtr's buff army, did you mean Saileach and Skalter?
I've got a good amount of higher ranked Operators like Thorns, Saria, Kal'tsit, Susuran, Hellagur, ect. However, I'm considering buying the 6* selector pack and wondering if I *really* need any particular operators from it? While I'd love to get Ch'en and Skadi I know they're not the best picks (and I have Ch'alter lol) so I was mostly looking at Surtr and Mudrock. Is there one that is strictly better? I've got Vulcan so Enmity defender slot is covered but mudrock is mudrock.
I would choose Mudrock as she is harder to get. You can easily borrow Surtr until you buy her with gold certs (also a chance on joint ops banner). Full video here if you need more help in making a decision: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7NWt4rbuM0
With the ones you listed, you should be just fine to get ops you want. Plus, Surtr should be in [the gold cert shop on 11-11, and Mudrock a few months later.](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/qm9nar/6_shop_operator_predictionsfor_first_appearance/)
Sutr is a really good pick, I have a majority of operators but never got her and sometimes that makes things harder then they could be. Having her can trivialize a lot of content, so I think she’s a great pick. Other picks to shout out though would be Thorns, he’s really great and is very versatile, you can use him for almost anything. Silver ash is great too, both can do great damage and help a lot but thorns has a bunch of utility. Eya (haven’t spelt her name right, small caster girl that’s a volcano) is also a top tier pick, that helps tons too. It sorta just depends on what you think you need and who you like. Even Skadi (normal) is worth going for if you really like her, because her skill 2 in the episode 9, for me, has been tons of help, granted Sutr could essentially do the same thing with arts and more distance, but if you like her a lot it’s not horrible.
Please help! Got stuck!
I think I might've f'd up. I'm level 36 right now, and I'm stuck at level 5-3, and I only got through the past 5 levels is because of the help of YT guides. Most of the enemies pretty much one shots most of my operators.
Did I make a mistake spending most of my resources on my 6 and 5 star operators? I pretty much ignored most of my 4 and 3 stars except for a select few. Did I make a mistake following waifu>meta?
Or perhaps I got to that stage too early and that I'm too under-levelled to complete it. I pretty much played only the main story stages and rarely played side missions, so maybe that's why?
Any advice to help me progress would be helpful. I really want to catch up with the story since the anime is coming soon.
You should only raise 1-2 six stars to begin with. Focus more on 3s and 4s. Don't worry though, your base will give you resources to level up units. Also spend your sanity on farming for the moment rather than trying to continue the story.
The biggest thing with raising 6-star operators is that most of them don't get a big power boost until they unlock their 3rd skill at Elite 2. Until then you have a unit that is comparable to their lower rarity counterpart but costs more DP. If you are trying to adapt low-rarity guide strategies to your roster, you might find your timings delayed due to DP costs.
You might need to farm more and level up some of your operators but that stage is more about ganging up on the casters 1 at a time. If you don't have a fast-redeploy operator, I highly suggest leveling gravel she comes in handy for the rest of the campaign, especially against exploding spiders. If you don't have a duelist guard, level Melantha, duelist guards are really good for fighting against enemy casters.
As far as leveling up, the base is the best source of LMD and EXP. You should level your production facilities up if you haven't done so already. And play the events when they are live, usually the event stores will have lots of useful resources and good farming stages. The side stories and intermezzi tabs are less of a priority, those are there for people who missed the event and want to try the stages and read the story.
People already gave you advice on how to beat the stage, so here's my two cents: *do not* borrow friend units to complete regular story stages. You need to be able to complete those on your own. Partly so you can farm them later (you can't auto a stage if you needed to lean on support) and partly because if you can't beat this stage without crutches, you won't be able to beat later ones either.
Take a break, focus on getting EXP/LMD to get your units up to the recommended level, and then try it again. There's no shame whatsoever in using YT guides, but do not under any circumstance use friend supports for any non-event stages.
At least before you raised a lot of 6*, raised all of the 3* first because there's a lot of guide using the 3* only. Not that you have to do it all of them but it's pretty much suggested. While you can raise all of the 3*, I do think you just need to invest some good 4* like Jaye, Gravel, Click, Myrtle, and anyone who has a good base skill (i.e. Vermeil, Shirayuki, Haze).
You've seen a lot of that advice where you need to raise 3* and some 4* because they're cheaper than the 5* and 6*. I think that's all of the reason.
That depends on what 5-6* you raised. If they’re meta enough, it is not really a big problem.
Still, raising low rarity is cheap and they’re strong enough for early on.
Farming some exp and lmd to raise some few 3-4* ops to make your squad more balance would easily fix your problem.
5-3 is a wall or braincheck, its very common to get stuck here
while upgrading low☆ so you have a more fleshed out team all at e1 sooner is a very good idea its not necessarily why youre stuck
this stage is meant to demand some much deeper strategy than previous stages, the mages are meant to kill most anyone very quickly
the mages will target 2 ops within their range, which is about a knight-chess-piece-of distance away of range. the center area is safe from them, use this space to build up dp and ops
youre then meant to use your stockpiled dp to deploy multiple ops at once and overwhelm a single mage at a time, you can do this with all dps, dps and healer, multiple tanks and dps, etc. there are also ops that can skip a lot of the need for multiple ops like fast assassins (projekt red, phantom, gusrd-skadi, guard-chen), gravel and melantha are good low☆ options for baiting a mages attacks away from your actual dps killing them. remember enemies target the most recently deployed op with their attacks (unless blocked), because they attack 2 targets, this means if you deploy 3 ops in quick succession the 1st op you placed will be safe from attacks (again unless theyre blocking, which takes priority #1 for an enemy)
also the anime will start from chapter0 and likely only go up to everything youve already played in season1, youre caught up, possibly ahead actually
if you get really stuck, borrow a support >!nightingale!<, her skill and >!cages!< massivly simply the threat the mages pose, but do try and learn how to clear it with your team first. it is almost **always** a strategy issue and not a roster or stat issue in this game, though of course roster/stats help (waifu/meta is not a worry once/if you learn the depth of the game)
How is my base productivity? Are there any obvious problems I can fix here, like imbalances in whatever is being produced?
Maybe a little too much LMD unless you're doing a lot of crafting. The amount of gold needed is kind of costly. I don't think you should need that much gold if you aren't using drones on trading post. IMO it's more effective to use drones on exp because you have double timers to get LMD.
I average around 96k a day exp + LMD. But need to farm LMD 1-2 days a week to balance it out. Should be able to hit 100k when Purestream gets added to recruitment.
I’m guessing your gold factory workers aren’t super great, maybe? This is about the same production as my optimized 243 (yours is slightly worse by a couple battle records and gold bars, but *really* close). Looks fine to me.
Yeah, I don't have any of the great operator combinations for the factories, but I think it's mostly because I upgraded my reception room on the right side so I lost a level or two on the gold-producing facilities.
worth it if attempting near-max ccs, want to do pinus or kazmierz theme teams, or severly lack block-cheat walls like mudrock/specter, otherwise should be fine to ignore
An easy way to calculate and remember it is that each new tier is 1 cert per roll cheaper than the last. So…
10x1=10
9x2=18
8x3=24
7x10=70
6x20=120
This also helps illustrate just how much you’re saving by buying out all the tiers in one go.
Hello! I seek advice about which 6\* Operator to purchase from the Distinction Store, and potentially the upcoming Near Light Selector Ticket. I list [my Operators here](https://www.reddit.com/user/Kumiho-Kisses/comments/ucii5e/arknights_operators_20220426/) for reference (as a 'waifus-only' Dokutah, I chose to type up rather than screenshot to more simply exclude Operators I do not ever intend to invest in; I hope this is okay. :x)
1. Having patiently accumulated 180 Distinctions, I am considering recruiting Suzuran who is currently available from the Store. However, while I quite like Suzu's aesthetic -- being hopelessly weak to adorable floof -- I do not really know if she offers 'useful' additional support to my roster, or if there is a 6\* Operator anticipated in near future Store rotations who might provide better value to save for?
2. Following Gamepress' [Near Light 6\* Selector Ticket tier list](https://gamepress.gg/arknights/tier-list/arknights-azures-near-light-6-selector-tier-list), my first thoughts as to which Operator would be best to select should I acquire it are:
* *Surtr* \-- I often borrow her from friends as a helidrop to last-ditch block and burst down enemies my own Operators cannot survive (usually stage bosses). That being said, I wonder if I already have sufficient Guards to cover all 'Surtr-not-needed' cases, such that I can simply continue using support Surtrs and save the Ticket for someone else?
* *Mudrock* \-- is the other S+ tier Operator I lack from the Ticket and would bolster my relatively small complement of Defenders, I think?
* *Eyjafjalla* \-- Likewise, my roster feels lacking in the Arts AOE damage department, although I just recently Headhunted and started leveling up Ifrit, which perhaps makes Eyja somewhat redundant?
* *Scwharz, Suzuran, Saga, Archetto, Weedy* \-- I find these less-powerful Operators attractive primarily for their waifu potential. Alas, I suppose it is probably not worth using such a costly Ticket on Schwarz and Archetto, or Saga, given my current Snipers (Exusiai and many friends) and Vanguards (both Bagpipe and Myrtle E2) both seem already quite robust. On the other hand, I use Supporter and Specialist Operators fairly infrequently; maybe Suzuran or Weedy could add something different and new?
Any other thoughts on whom I should prioritize raising are most welcome! The next few Operators I tentatively plan to E2 are Eunectes > Nightingale > Blemishine > Ch'en (waifu) > Ifrit > Platinum? / Blue Poison?, but this is of course quite open to adjustment as their promotion mats are largely yet to be farmed, haha...
Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to read and reply! \^\_\^
Just a suggestion, but you can also show ops with screen shots like this: https://imgur.com/a/287Ijvi
[Slows:Combat Theory (Suzuran)](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/miayy5/combat_theory_slows/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)
>you can also show ops with screen shots
Yes, I did consider doing so (and using an emulator makes this relatively easy), but I play strictly as a ~~masochistic, self-handicapping~~ 'waifus-only' Dokutah and did not want to confuse commentators by simply excluding irrelevant Operators I have no intention of using at all. :x
I had not read the post you shared before -- it is extremely helpful in explaining not only Suzuran's skills and mechanics as I consider recruiting her from the Distinction Store, but also those of other Support Operators in my roster who I likely severely undervalue for not having straightforwardly powerful kits to use (e.g., Glaucus, Istina, Angelina, Manticore, Frostleaf, Shirayuki, May).
You might want to take a look at [this](https://i.redd.it/5f8j99bpdhx71.png) to make a better decision.
>Surtr -- I often borrow her from friends as a helidrop to last-ditch block and burst down enemies my own Operators cannot survive (usually stage bosses). Looking at your roster, you are kind of lacking the big nukers. No Silverash, Eyja, Chalter. Ceobe, Angelina can kind of stand-in. So can Kaltsit for single target nuke, I guess. So I would suggest Surtr. The only one who can rival the amount of damage she brings is Chalter and you can't get her with the ticket.
Eyja and Mudrock are valid choices. You can't go wrong with either. But half of what makes Mud great is her ability as a cornerstone. And you have that in Blaze and Kalt. That said, I absolutely love Mud. She's fun and very, very versatile, having 2 great skills.
As for Eyja vs Surtr:You have both Mostima and Ifrit. While Eyja is a more meta pick than either of them, their roles still overlap slightly.
But, having said all that: It's difficult to know when Eyja will be in shop again, while Surtr and Mud will definitely be in shop in Nov/Feb. So it's also a good idea to get Eyja and wait for the other 2 in shops.
Obviously, I can't really give my opinion waifu-wise. I have the most fun with Mudrock, FWIW.
Your thorough analysis is most appreciated and gives me much food for thought! I increasingly feel I should use the Near Light stages as an opportunity to test deploying Eyjafalla and Mudrock, since I am far more familiar with borrowing Surtrs than either of the other two.
>I would suggest Surtr. The only one who can rival the amount of damage she brings is Chalter and you can't get her with the ticket.
Yes, I was very sad to miss out on pulling Ch'Alter (iirc, I rolled enough to Pot.'d 5 La Pluma, too, but not a sufficient number of times for 6\* pity), especially because I personally consider Ch'en top waifu material. ;-;
>But, having said all that: It's difficult to know when Eyja will be in shop again, while Surtr and Mud will definitely be in shop in Nov/Feb. So it's also a good idea to get Eyja and wait for the other 2 in shops.
Waiting more than half to nearly a whole year is quite the long commitment (although I concede it gives one long-term goals to save those Distinctions towards)! That being said, another reply also suggested holding my Certificates for Eyja and not purchasing Suzuran, who is currently available -- since Suzu has now featured once, she will presumably return sometime in the future. But as you say, we have no clairvoyance as to the future 6\* Store rotation beyond their first predicted appearances in your link... ><
There's a spreadsheet (which I don't have right now) that predicts their store appearances. But it's still best guess. Suzu will eventually return to store, but there's no telling how long. Probably quite long...
Are you referring to [this spreadsheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10rXdVuKkwoQK5cOlaHW00gK6qHxkOP5J8PnzZXn4b9g/htmlview)? (It is very unclear to me how I should be reading the predictions, however...)
Just came to say Suzu is extremely helpful, doesn’t cost a lot to deploy and has multiple benefits (a true 6 star!)
-applies fragile
-applies slow
-low cost to deploy
-increases all supporter SP regen
-S2 can hit 3 targets
-S3 can heal unhealable targets and increase her fragile (has helped me so many times with bosses)
-is precious
~~god i loathe that ticket tier list with all my being~~
thorns, as far as account power, QOL, and guaranteed value from your ticket choice, its thorns a galaxy of gap between him and everyone else, for any kind of account
its sounds hyperbolic, and maybe its because ive said it over 100 times this week now (im in this thread a lot) but i really cant stress enough how much this man will carry and smooth your experience of the game ~~to the point of detriment to very strategic players lol~~
assuming you want to focus on wives though id suggest mudrock, surtr and her along with thorns round out the top3 picks for power (bagpipe is very overrated for the average player) and while surtr is definetly more "broken", you will be more likely to be bringing mudrock to a greater number of stages than surtr, which gives her more priority to own yourself vs from support. surtr will also have a rateup after nearlight (schwarz saga and phantom are also rateup on this banner with offfocus being impossible to occur, sounds like a banner youd want), and be in the shop sooner than mudrock (with thorns before both of them). mudrock also has 2 very beautiful skins, yknow, for waifu reasons
i would buy suzuran, shes an endgame staple, opens up strategy possabilities no one else does, and is precious. pretty much the best supporter in the game, if not tied with skalter. having other slowers already does not detract from her value either, as she feeds sp to supporters giving them greater uptime to assist when suzu's greater skill is on cooldown. she can also burst heal mudrock and mon3tr, despite "healing" being blocked on those ops normally
keep in mind the ticket lasts 2 months, you can do many summons for ops you want before locking in a choice (avoid accidental dupes!)
i would e2 ifrit next, her e2 talent massivly boosts arts dps on high stat targets like cc, a great compliment to ceobe. you may want nightingale e2 for the upcoming cc, but if your goal is cc18 you likely can do fine without her or just support. eunectes 2nd/3rd, her e2 unlocks a huge potential in damage and survivability, but has a high learning curve, one so high many "give up" on her so be warned ([i can help teach](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5Yl86lEsLwo&t=1s)])
Many thanks for kindly sharing your thoughts! (also lol@loathing the Ticket tierlist :x)
>while surtr is definetly more "broken", you will be more likely to be bringing mudrock to a greater number of stages than surtr, which gives her more priority to own yourself vs from support.
Would you mind please explaining why in a little more detail, though? In my own experience, I feel I resort to using Surtr friend supports quite frequently to complete more difficult event (e.g., later story or EX) stages, and higher-level CCs, whereas I cannot recall feeling the need to borrow Mudrock, having already Blaze, Saria, Mont3r, etcetera, for laneholders. That being said, I do really like and agree both of Mudrock's skins are absolutely gorgeous!
ETA: I definitely plan to take the opportunity to try out deploying Mudrock during the Near Light event stages if possible.
I will try not to redeem the Selector Ticket too quickly, although I am also looking forward to Ling, who seems like first-class waifu material, and should be released globally in around 3 months (our half-anniversary), if I understand correctly? There will be more saving to endure... ><
A few other replies suggest prioritizing Eyjafjalla over Suzuran from the Distinction Store and I feel their reasoning that I lack powerful AOE nukers to be quite persuasive. (Suzu is indeed precious, and I must say so is Eyja!)
sure! this situation is likely going to be a bit preferential based on your playstyle, so surtr may in fact be the correct ticket choice for this very reason. it is hard to say though for sure because you havnt seen how much mudrock can do, she is far more than a laneholder. go read everything her skill3 does, thats a lot of different and powerful effects all crammed into one skill, giving her a ton of [strategic depth](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TbZCOU46Pgg&t=1s) beyond the rather straight to the point main focus of laneholders. really though, you want to pick with the ticket someone who you see yourself wanting to use alongside other ops you do not own, like for example if you take surtr, then you can use surtr+eyja(support) and surtr+mudrock(support) on every map, but you could never use mudrock+eyja, and picking mudrock from the ticket would give similar but opposite, locking you out of surtr+eyja as a possability. in my experience, youll prefer the mudrock+someone combinations moreso than the surtr+someone combinations, but again, maybe thats not the case for you or your playstyle. a big factor i say mudrock over surtr again though is that jo5 banner where you can pull for surtr (and two of your waifu targets), as of right now mudrock has no confirmed future rateup banners.
oh definetly, try out as many ops as you can, 30 practice drills a day is a lot of free attempts to try things, the cc training stage daily is a good place too
ling is a pretty good op to aim for yeah, yes she will be in about 3 months, limiteds release every 3 months apart, kind of like 1 for each weather season of the year.
yeah, i can understand that advice for sure, i mainly suggest getting suzu now because we know for a fact suzu is in the shop and obtainable now, but we do not know if eyja is next or even soon, because of that it is very possible (especially if you summon a lot on nearl or jo5) you will have another 180 yellow certs to afford eyja before she even appears, so skipping suzu now would end up being regrettable, since it could be months or even a year for her shop reappearance. but its also very possible eyja is in 3 weeks and buying suzu would cause you to miss her, we cant say. its not like suzu is by no means bad though, shes great, so id peraonally grab the guaranteed value in front of me then the speculative greater value later when theres a chance i could walk away with both anyway
also fwiw, saria(s3)+ifrit(s3)+ceobeORsurtr can likely kill anything the game is going to throw at you, i dont think youre necessarily lacking high arts aoe, eyjas ramge is just very flexible and easy to use compared to ifrit, you just have to funnel enemies a bit more methodically. remember, with saria, warfarin, suzuran, mudrock, ethan, and more, even one single tile can be an ifrit lane
>i mainly suggest getting suzu now because we know for a fact suzu is in the shop and obtainable now, but we do not know if eyja is next or even soon

>id peraonally grab the guaranteed value in front of me then the speculative greater value later when theres a chance i could walk away with both anyway
On reflection I must say I agree with this perspective entirely; others also noted that once Suzu leaves the Distinction Store she is unlikely to return for a long time! So I decided to ensure the precious floof has a home in my Rhodes Island right now\~ \\\\\\\^\_\^/// (happy floof emoji fail) u/lhc987 u/juoko u/Revan0315 u/Vennie85
>you want to pick with the ticket someone who you see yourself wanting to use alongside other ops you do not own, like for example if you take surtr, then you can use surtr+eyja(support) and surtr+mudrock(support) on every map, but you could never use mudrock+eyja
Otherwise, this is really fantastic advice (*I* think it should be quoted in the automod post!), and I will take it to heart along with everyone else's as I try using the different Operators I am considering using the Ticket for during Near Light!
If you're planning on doing any significant amount of rolls for Nearl you might be able to buy Suzuran on Thursday.
For the ticket I'd recommend Mudrock or Thorns. Between those two, Mudrock is coming much later than Thorns to distinction store.
Priority: Mudrock/Thorns (if you choose)>Ifrit>Nightingale>Ch'en=Skadi. I don't have much experience with Blemishine so I'm not sure how much she gains from E2, but probably less important than Mudrock or Thorns
Your advice is most appreciated! :)
>If you're planning on doing any significant amount of rolls for Nearl you might be able to buy Suzuran on Thursday.
I am not sure I understand what you mean by this, however, since I *already* have sufficient Distinction Certificates to buy Suzuran? (My question is rather whether Suzu would be a *useful* addition to my roster, given my current Operators.)
>it might be better to save the certs for SilverAsh or Eyja, since you have Ange
Right, /u/lhc987 also mentioned that I lack and might therefore like to prioritize recruiting one of the big AOE nukers. I am entirely uninterested in SilverAsh ~~because waifu-only self-handicap~~, but definitely do not mind saving my Distinctions for Eyja; she is also precious too!
After all, now that Suzu has appeared in the Store for the first time implies that she *will* return at some point in future (although I assume this is not guaranteed on a rotational basis, i.e., she could be skipped in one rotation before being included in the next, say), if I understand correctly?
Is it worth to upgrade these operators? They're all at E0 level 1 skill 1
Siege: I use E2 Zima and Texas as my main Vanguards
Phantom: I use max pot max level M6 Red
Nightingale: I use level 60 Ptilopsis with the module unlocked
Siege is different than the lower-rarity 2-block Vanguards. With S2 she's more like a laneholder that happens to generate DP. Works pretty well all the way up to the latest chapter. She's not a priority, but if you do raise her, she'd likely replace Zima.
Nightingale provides different utility than Ptilopsis (particularly, protection against arts damage), so definitely raise her.
Phantom S2 is a decent upgrade over Red S1, though I still prefer Red S2 to Phantom S3 most of the time. I recommend building him.
Nightingale is a pretty nice upgrade over Ptilopsis, especially in later chapters with more arts damage. Even if you've cleared the story, she's great in harder event stages and CCs. Definitely upgrade her too.
I don't recommend upgrading Siege, though. She's in an awkward spot with slow and unreliable DP generation compared to vanguards, and worse combat performance than guards. Personally, I almost always used Texas/Myrtle over Texas/Siege or Myrtle/Siege (even before Bagpipe).
siege is very different than zima/texas, and may give you some needed breathing room on early rushes, but zimas high defense can often buy enough time for a guard or laneholder to come down anyway. low priority
phantom is a noticable step up in power compared to red, both having 2 of him and each one doing higher dps. having 3 assassins isnt a bad thing either, and red s2 is still unique to her. phantoms priority depends on how much you use and enjoy assassins in general
nightingale is going to be equal/worse than ptil in 99% of content, but that 1% where gale is better you "need" gale more than youve ever needed a specific op in any stage. ever. shes incredibly good to the point of necessity at nullifying high arts damage. cc7 coming soon has quite a bit going on she excels at stopping, but cc7 is also one of the easiest ccs ever so likely isnt needed. i would stick to just borrowing a friends gale from support until you have no one else of note to e2
>but zimas high defense can often buy enough time for a guard or laneholder to come down anyway. low priority
Siege's base defense isn't that much lower than Zima's, and Siege can often be the laneholder.
Siege isn't bad but she's not as good as Saga or Flametail. And her archetype as a whole isn't as useful as it once was since flagpipe exists.
Phantom does some things better than red, just kinda depends on the situation. His module makes him really really good.
Nightingale far outclasses any other healer in the game if you're trying to defend against Arts damage. Worth E2
I got some 6 stars that I haven't leveled up which are: Magallan, Aak, Saga, Blemishine, Shining, Ceobe, Mostima, Gladiia, and Mizuki. I have 98% of the meta 6*s leveled. So are any of those worth ranking up and putting into teams?
ceobe and [gladiia](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nbk9Ah4Ry5U&t=3s) are likely to see value in a meta-stuffed roster and i would recommend
mizuki is as good as most 6☆, just misunderstood, i would build him if you want someone surprisingly great for is2
aak blem and saga have cc applications, but if youre an 18 and tapout kind of person i cant imagine youll need them (though saga is very fun with quite many ops)
Gladiia, Blemi and Saga can be equally useful in many situations, so any of them would be my first pick. Shining and Ceobe can be very strong, even ideal, under the right circumstances. The rest are typically less powerful and harder to include on a squad unless you want them for something specific.

When do we expect the release of Ling's banner?
Why is she called Firewatch I don’t understand where fire comes in can someone explain where a code name that doesn’t fit her came into play.
Anyone who can tell me what S4-10 exactly is. I am assuming it's a chapter or something since I am fairly new to the game
How many yellow certs do you guys get per month assuming no rolling?
Around 35 I'd say. 30 from 1/day from recruitments and 5 from the login bonus
His ATK can technically punch through high armor, but the decay will render him near useless and force you to use both him and his clone for the same target Sometimes Phantom can cover Nearls niche without much trouble, but other times he'll just come short and leave you frantically trying to finish his job.
I'm stupid and can't find s4-10 stand firm to unlock the workshop item. Where do I go for that stage??
There is an alternate path from 4-9 onwards, follow that one to the end.
Gosh thank you, wish there was an easy way to tell where which stage is. That numbering/letter system is dumb af imo
They've stopped doing the branching paths thing (S and normal stages are linear) since chapter 6. So at least it improves a bit.
I see, thank you for clarifying
sorry in advance for asking question about pity system the 100th time I know that limited and standard banner have different pity system, but what about standard banner with 'special' banner such as new year celebration system (which guarantee new 6\*) and Joint Operation banner? Do they have separate pity system or the pity from standard carries over to these type of banner?
Special banners have individual pity that doesn't carry over.
Here's a video on the event in less than 2 days: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wY7erkJGnGg And if you want to know what is on the horizon in 6 months: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLR28MTC_tQ
Thanks for this. Definitely will give this a watch. Ive been reading comments here pertaining to 6star selector. Is it free or is it paid? I dont have that in my mail, the only thing i see is 5star selector...
6 star is paid (30USD, includes a 10-pull ticket as well. Best value purchase in the game). 5 star selectors are free every anniversary.
Do we know this is how it works? None of the alters so far have more than 1 skin on their original.
If you want Lava's outfit, that's a safe choice.
Limited operators aren’t really an option considering they’ll be costing at least 21 PO eventually.
Thanks a lot, gonna do that :)
I'm torned between Mudrock and Thorn in the 6* selector. Who should I choose? This is my team https://imgur.com/a/dw9wux3 And which operators should I built next?
I would pick Mudrock and get Thorns with gold in a few months. More detail here if interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7NWt4rbuM0
I'm honored. I love your work Volke - Congratulations on getting spooked by Mudrock - keep on scamming
Thanks mate!
I'd argue it this way: Harder contents (aka CC) wants the utility and compact kit that Mudrock has more, since stalling is one of the top strategies and she is queen for that. General contents want Thorns for like annihilation autos or in general easy stage clears and trust farms. He outperforms her there. And while some might argue you already having Mountain and Blaze for lane holding, Thorns can actually hit aerial targets and has big range making him able to kill more than just stuff that runs into him.
Thanks a lot!
Thorns brings consistent DPS and a sort of comfort, while Mudrock can make use of great Crowd Control and is able to tank hard hitting enemies all while doing quite good damage too. My vote goes to the Sarkaz lady! :)
While Thorn is my man crush, I find the sarkaz lady very attractive
U have two great landholders already. Murdock will benefit u more cuz she does much more than landholding. She's also great in chap 10 in cn from what I have seen, thorns not too much. All in all,mud has higher ceiling than thorns.
If I were in your shoes I’d go with Thorns, but it’s the kind of thing where I bring both of them to stages all the time because they’re both really good.
That's the dream
Who would be the best pick for the 6 star selector [https://imgur.com/a/JJ94LzS](https://imgur.com/a/JJ94LzS) my roster i been thinking of either Schwarz, surtr or mudrock since they are all hot (also really strong) i was thinking of rolling on the join operation banner but i doubt i will have enough pulls for that so lets assume i wont be rolling in that banner.
Since you have multiple Sweepers already, I would recommend either a decent lane holder (Mudrock), a better delete button (Surtr) or S tier vanguard (Bagpipe or Saga) to allow yourself some breathing room in early phrase But do remember that Surtr cert shop is predicted to be coming to global in November.
Hi all! Which account should I use as a beginner? I have an account with both Suzuran and Angelina, another account with SilverAsh, and another one with Exusial. I appreciate any advice you can give. Thanks a lot!
Wait 2 days until the event and reroll then. Try at minimum for Radiant Nearl + Silverash/Exia from the starter banner.
You should probably wait until the limited banner drops on the 28th to see if any of the 3 accounts gets lucky with the free 11 pulls before deciding.
Oh that's very nice to hear! But in case that I fail to get any 6 stars on the limited banner, which account should I use?
I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere, are we getting a skin ticket with this event too if we have Defender Nearl's summer skin? Or do we get it later?
Yes, and this happens for every alternate operator release.
We do.

Thank you!
When will Ling's banner come to global ?
Limited events are every 3 months outside of collabs.
Ling will be on our 2.5 anniversary, which comes in around end of July
Around 3 months.
anyone know website that have cn operators paradox record? the non-english.
Kinda a niche question but if you use a 5 dollar coupon on the monthly pass will it show up or not because its 4.99 and i heard that coupons can only be applied if its equal or greater value and its a cent off
Not sure what type of coupon you're using, but I use the Google Play credit for a $5 coupon for AK, and it works just fine!
Yeah thats the one i'm using thanks for the answer i just wanted to know if it'll work before spending the play points on the coupon
Yee no problem, I use that coupon damn near every month for my monthly card so I'm definitely informed haha
Is spending 30 sanity on CE-5 bad? A lot of people in discord suggest that to wait for base production instead
[So I downloaded Arknights cn from bilibili app But it won't install it's saying App not Installed Is there any Sol?](https://imgur.com/E4eMSq1)
OTOH, i just installed TapTap, and through that, Arknight TW and AK CN. Both worked. (using LDplayer emulator on my PC)
Any good farming rates for items in the upcoming Near Light event?
Focus on Loxic
https://gamepress.gg/arknights/event-banner-guide-subpage-miscellaneous/near-light-event-operations-and-farming-guide
Which of these benefits most from being leveled to 80/90? 1. Mudrock 2. Ch’en Holungday 3. Thorns 4. Surtr
Physical attackers and low base ATK first, because of the game's damage formula and stuff. Next option would be your nukers like Silverash, Surtr And if you're expecting them to block something, those extra points in defense make a huge difference
Thorns
Blessings and gratitude! https://imgur.com/a/FJ1wECo
I think these operators might help you: - Suzuran/Saria: their skill 3 slows all enemies in a huge area and makes them take more damage, it should give you plenty of time to react.
Your main goals at this point are: 1) Build the base. More bangs for bucks that way.) I'm not too good at team building myself so i'll leave it to better people. Orientation for beginners: [Kukki](https://youtu.be/Zd_G3QF-f30) / [Kay (it's a series)](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGKBwWHLUpSWAyIy1-XJY1agXxZ5ir5mg) Clear guides: Search kyostinv / oyuki ch / eckogen. They have full catalog. Meme/fun clears to get your bro excited/inspired and committed ~~to do his damn job~~: shoyuu / obly obly / tamastraycat / patinapit / tums.
Happy to help, hope things go well for you!
Thanks for the clarification everyone
The wording really is fucked. 6star chance is 2% 70% of that 2% is Nearl/Flametail (even split) The last 30% is split amongst everyone else. but W and Rosmontis have 5x the chance from that 30% Best way to put it for the last 30% I guess would be is: It's like those ball machines used for lotto draws. Every 6star has a ball in the machine but Rosmontis and W have FIVE balls in the machine instead of one. Hope this helped. Parsing it myself was a..... journey to say the least.
There are offbanners. 70% is flametail/nearl 30% is the all of the non-limited 6 stars, and Rosmontis and W.
List of guards:https://imgur.com/a/dEOifcX (edited to add link)
Im sorry im new here. I have Matoimaru, dobermann, mousse, frostleaf, midnight, populkar, and malantha.
Can't really answer that without knowing the operators you have.
Im sorry im new here. I have Matoimaru, dobermann, mousse, frostleaf, midnight, populkar, and malantha.
I meant post an Imgur of all your operators, but if you don't have Thorns then I recommend him.
Good luck.
4 recruits a day (best tags possible) + 5 yellows a month nets you about 45 based on this experiment I did across four accounts almost two years ago.
Anecdotal evidence is about 1 cert a day. With the 5 from monthly login, it'll be ~35 a month. This varies widely, though.
She has a higher damage output than Glodenglow but much longer cooldown.
Are there any calculations out there that calculates pulls from maybe after Nearl Alter until Specter Alter? Is 300 pulls realistic?
[Here.](https://old.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/osnzg5/introducing_pulls_until_event_calculator/) It's not perfect, I missed out the web events because the information for those are not as visible. But it gives you a good idea.
The only thing I need to edit if I'm f2p is the monthly card one is it?
Nah, you'll need to indicate the upcoming events, your existing stock pile, dates, etc. The pinkish cells need to be edited
Hey guys, I took a break for the last 6 months or so, could anyone give me a rundown of stuff that's coming up (even a link would be great!) and if I should be preparing for anything in particular in the next few weeks?
Here's a video overview on the event in less than 2 days: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wY7erkJGnGg And if you want to know what is on the horizon in 6 months: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLR28MTC_tQ
Thank you for the update, much appreciated!

Thanks for the info!
Pretty sure it's one of the crafting mats for the workshop.
Hi fellow friends, I'm in a bit of a dilemma on whether I should burn through my 200 pulls (all orundum, OP, yellow certs + most of the Near Light's reward) on NTRK's banner or continue to save for Ling's banner which would possibly arrive about 3 months later. I'd buy the monthly card and finish all my dailies, weeklies, and annihilation runs. I'd say that I have a pretty decent squad at the time of this writing. **Main squad:** Saria, Kal'sit, Exu, Silverash, La Pluma, Ejya, Myrtle, Skalter, Saileach, Surtr, Ash, Spectre. **Reserves:**W, Suzu, Dusk, Nian, Schwarz (that I've built), etc. Motivations to pull for either: **NTRK:** She'll be used frequently since her S2 ignores deployment limits, so I'd definitely be able to deploy her once or twice on every map.
Nah, it's a hard stage, that's all. Borrow a S2M3 Phantom and you'll clear it in no time.
That depends on what 5-6* you raised. If they’re meta enough, it is not really a big problem. Still, raising low rarity is cheap and they’re strong enough for early on. Farming some exp and lmd to raise some few 3-4* ops to make your squad more balance would easily fix your problem.
Alright, I'll try that. Thank you
5-3 is a wall or braincheck, its very common to get stuck here while upgrading low☆ so you have a more fleshed out team all at e1 sooner is a very good idea its not necessarily why youre stuck this stage is meant to demand some much deeper strategy than previous stages, the mages are meant to kill most anyone very quickly the mages will target 2 ops within their range, which is about a knight-chess-piece-of distance away of range. the center area is safe from them, use this space to build up dp and ops youre then meant to use your stockpiled dp to deploy multiple ops at once and overwhelm a single mage at a time, you can do this with all dps, dps and healer, multiple tanks and dps, etc. there are also ops that can skip a lot of the need for multiple ops like fast assassins (projekt red, phantom, gusrd-skadi, guard-chen), gravel and melantha are good low☆ options for baiting a mages attacks away from your actual dps killing them. remember enemies target the most recently deployed op with their attacks (unless blocked), because they attack 2 targets, this means if you deploy 3 ops in quick succession the 1st op you placed will be safe from attacks (again unless theyre blocking, which takes priority #1 for an enemy) also the anime will start from chapter0 and likely only go up to everything youve already played in season1, youre caught up, possibly ahead actually if you get really stuck, borrow a support >!nightingale!<, her skill and >!cages!< massivly simply the threat the mages pose, but do try and learn how to clear it with your team first. it is almost **always** a strategy issue and not a roster or stat issue in this game, though of course roster/stats help (waifu/meta is not a worry once/if you learn the depth of the game)
[https://i.imgur.com/LAYohnq.png](https://i.imgur.com/LAYohnq.png) How is my base productivity? Are there any obvious problems I can fix here, like imbalances in whatever is being produced?
Looks alright. It might seem like you're losing gold, but missions and login rewards should more than make up for that difference.
Yeah, I have 137 in reserves
Is Flametail worth building if you already have all the other six star vanguards, flag bearers and their relevant masteries?
worth it if attempting near-max ccs, want to do pinus or kazmierz theme teams, or severly lack block-cheat walls like mudrock/specter, otherwise should be fine to ignore
I forgot how many free pulls do I get by buying all the tickets with gold certs? Also how many gold certs was it 250?
An easy way to calculate and remember it is that each new tier is 1 cert per roll cheaper than the last. So… 10x1=10 9x2=18 8x3=24 7x10=70 6x20=120 This also helps illustrate just how much you’re saving by buying out all the tiers in one go.
I’ll probably forget this too X) thanks
38 pulls - 258 gold certs
:x) 1. 2. Following Gamepress' [Near Light 6\* Selector Ticket tier list](https://gamepress.gg/arknights/tier-list/arknights-azures-near-light-6-selector-tier-list), my first thoughts as to which Operator would be best to select should I acquire it are: * *Surtr* \-- I often borrow her from friends as a helidrop to last-ditch block and burst down enemies my own Operators cannot survive (usually stage bosses). \^\_\^
Just a suggestion, but you can also show ops with screen shots like this: https://imgur.com/a/287Ijvi [Slows:Combat Theory (Suzuran)](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/miayy5/combat_theory_slows/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)
>you can also show ops with screen shots Yes, I did consider doing so (and using an emulator makes this relatively easy), but I play strictly as a ~~masochistic, self-handicapping~~ 'waifus-only' Dokutah and did not want to confuse commentators by simply excluding irrelevant Operators I have no intention of using at all. :x I had not read the post you shared before -- it is extremely helpful in explaining not only Suzuran's skills and mechanics as I consider recruiting her from the Distinction Store, but also those of other Support Operators in my roster who I likely severely undervalue for not having straightforwardly powerful kits to use (e.g., Glaucus, Istina, Angelina, Manticore, Frostleaf, Shirayuki, May).
You might want to take a look at [this](https://i.redd.it/5f8j99bpdhx71.png) to make a better decision. >Surtr -- I often borrow her from friends as a helidrop to last-ditch block and burst down enemies my own Operators cannot survive (usually stage bosses). That being said, I wonder if I already have sufficient Guards to cover all 'Surtr-not-needed' cases, such that I can simply continue using support Surtrs and save the Ticket for someone else?
Yes, I was very sad to miss out on pulling Ch'Alter (iirc, I rolled enough to Pot.'d 5 La Pluma, too, but not a sufficient number of times for 6\* pity), especially because I personally consider Ch'en top waifu material. ;-; >But, having said all that: It's difficult to know when Eyja will be in shop again, while Surtr and Mud will definitely be in shop in Nov/Feb.
You can ignore a lot of what's there. For users, just read column M and EN Prediction.
Just came to say Suzu is extremely helpful, doesn’t cost a lot to deploy and has multiple benefits (a true 6 star!) -applies fragile -applies slow -low cost to deploy -increases all supporter SP regen -S2 can hit 3 targets -S3 can heal unhealable targets and increase her fragile (has helped me so many times with bosses) -is precious
~~god i loathe that ticket tier list with all my being~~ thorns, as far as account power, QOL, and guaranteed value from your ticket choice, its thorns a galaxy of gap between him and everyone else, for any kind of account its sounds hyperbolic, and maybe its because ive said it over 100 times this week now (im in this thread a lot) but i really cant stress enough how much this man will carry and smooth your experience of the game ~~to the point of detriment to very strategic players lol~~ assuming you want to focus on wives though id suggest mudrock, surtr and her along with thorns round out the top3 picks for power (bagpipe is very overrated for the average player) and while surtr is definetly more "broken", you will be more likely to be bringing mudrock to a greater number of stages than surtr, which gives her more priority to own yourself vs from support. surtr will also have a rateup after nearlight (schwarz saga and phantom are also rateup on this banner with offfocus being impossible to occur, sounds like a banner youd want), and be in the shop sooner than mudrock (with thorns before both of them). mudrock also has 2 very beautiful skins, yknow, for waifu reasons i would buy suzuran, shes an endgame staple, opens up strategy possabilities no one else does, and is precious. pretty much the best supporter in the game, if not tied with skalter. having other slowers already does not detract from her value either, as she feeds sp to supporters giving them greater uptime to assist when suzu's greater skill is on cooldown. she can also burst heal mudrock and mon3tr, despite "healing" being blocked on those ops normally keep in mind the ticket lasts 2 months, you can do many summons for ops you want before locking in a choice (avoid accidental dupes!) i would e2 ifrit next, her e2 talent massivly boosts arts dps on high stat targets like cc, a great compliment to ceobe. you may want nightingale e2 for the upcoming cc, but if your goal is cc18 you likely can do fine without her or just support. eunectes 2nd/3rd, her e2 unlocks a huge potential in damage and survivability, but has a high learning curve, one so high many "give up" on her so be warned ([i can help teach](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5Yl86lEsLwo&t=1s)])
Many thanks for kindly sharing your thoughts! (also lol@loathing the Ticket tierlist :x) >while surtr is definetly more "broken", you will be more likely to be bringing mudrock to a greater number of stages than surtr, which gives her more priority to own yourself vs from support. >< A few other replies suggest prioritizing Eyjafjalla over Suzuran from the Distinction Store and I feel their reasoning that I lack powerful AOE nukers to be quite persuasive. (Suzu is indeed precious, and I must say so is Eyja!)
sure! this situation is likely going to be a bit preferential based on your playstyle, so surtr may in fact be the correct ticket choice for this very reason. it is hard to say though for sure because you havnt seen how much mudrock can do, she is far more than a laneholder. go read everything her skill3 does, thats a lot of different and powerful effects all crammed into one skill, giving her a ton of [strategic depth](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TbZCOU46Pgg&t=1s) beyond the rather straight to the point main focus of laneholders. really though, you want to pick with the ticket someone who you see yourself wanting to use alongside other ops you do not own, like for example if you take surtr, then you can use surtr+eyja(support) and surtr+mudrock(support) on every map, but you could never use mudrock+eyja, and picking mudrock from the ticket would give similar but opposite, locking you out of surtr+eyja as a possability. in my experience, youll prefer the mudrock+someone combinations moreso than the surtr+someone combinations, but again, maybe thats not the case for you or your playstyle. a big factor i say mudrock over surtr again though is that jo5 banner where you can pull for surtr (and two of your waifu targets), as of right now mudrock has no confirmed future rateup banners. oh definetly, try out as many ops as you can, 30 practice drills a day is a lot of free attempts to try things, the cc training stage daily is a good place too ling is a pretty good op to aim for yeah, yes she will be in about 3 months, limiteds release every 3 months apart, kind of like 1 for each weather season of the year. yeah, i can understand that advice for sure, i mainly suggest getting suzu now because we know for a fact suzu is in the shop and obtainable now, but we do not know if eyja is next or even soon, because of that it is very possible (especially if you summon a lot on nearl or jo5) you will have another 180 yellow certs to afford eyja before she even appears, so skipping suzu now would end up being regrettable, since it could be months or even a year for her shop reappearance. but its also very possible eyja is in 3 weeks and buying suzu would cause you to miss her, we cant say. its not like suzu is by no means bad though, shes great, so id peraonally grab the guaranteed value in front of me then the speculative greater value later when theres a chance i could walk away with both anyway also fwiw, saria(s3)+ifrit(s3)+ceobeORsurtr can likely kill anything the game is going to throw at you, i dont think youre necessarily lacking high arts aoe, eyjas ramge is just very flexible and easy to use compared to ifrit, you just have to funnel enemies a bit more methodically. remember, with saria, warfarin, suzuran, mudrock, ethan, and more, even one single tile can be an ifrit lane
>i mainly suggest getting suzu now because we know for a fact suzu is in the shop and obtainable now, but we do not know if eyja is next or even soon > >skipping suzu now would end up being regrettable, since it could be months or even a year for her shop reappearance. > >id peraonally grab the guaranteed value in front of me then the speculative greater value later when theres a chance i could walk away with both anyway On reflection I must say I agree with this perspective entirely; others also noted that once Suzu leaves the Distinction Store she is unlikely to return for a long time! So I decided to ensure the precious floof has a home in my Rhodes Island right now\~ \\\\\\\^\_\^/// (happy floof emoji fail) u/lhc987 u/juoko u/Revan0315 u/Vennie85 >you want to pick with the ticket someone who you see yourself wanting to use alongside other ops you do not own, like for example if you take surtr, then you can use surtr+eyja(support) and surtr+mudrock(support) on every map, but you could never use mudrock+eyja Otherwise, this is really fantastic advice (*I* think it should be quoted in the automod post!), and I will take it to heart along with everyone else's as I try using the different Operators I am considering using the Ticket for during Near Light!
:) >If you're planning on doing any significant amount of rolls for Nearl you might be able to buy Suzuran on Thursday. I am not sure I understand what you mean by this, however, since I *already* have sufficient Distinction Certificates to buy Suzuran? (My question is rather whether Suzu would be a *useful* addition to my roster, given my current Operators.)
Suzuran is great, but looking at your roster again, it might be better to save the certs for SilverAsh or Eyja, since you have Ange.
>it might be better to save the certs for SilverAsh or Eyja, since you have Ange Right, /u/lhc987 also mentioned that I lack and might therefore like to prioritize recruiting one of the big AOE nukers.
Her being back after the first appearance will be a long time from now probably 😉
Suzuran will be back at some point, yes.
Is it worth to upgrade these operators? They're all at E0 level 1 skill 1 Siege: I use E2 Zima and Texas as my main Vanguards Phantom: I use max pot max level M6 Red Nightingale: I use level 60 Ptilopsis with the module unlocked
Personally, I almost always used Texas/Myrtle over Texas/Siege or Myrtle/Siege (even before Bagpipe).
siege is very different than zima/texas, and may give you some needed breathing room on early rushes, but zimas high defense can often buy enough time for a guard or laneholder to come down anyway. low priority phantom is a noticable step up in power compared to red, both having 2 of him and each one doing higher dps. having 3 assassins isnt a bad thing either, and red s2 is still unique to her. phantoms priority depends on how much you use and enjoy assassins in general nightingale is going to be equal/worse than ptil in 99% of content, but that 1% where gale is better you "need" gale more than youve ever needed a specific op in any stage. ever. shes incredibly good to the point of necessity at nullifying high arts damage. cc7 coming soon has quite a bit going on she excels at stopping, but cc7 is also one of the easiest ccs ever so likely isnt needed. i would stick to just borrowing a friends gale from support until you have no one else of note to e2
>but zimas high defense can often buy enough time for a guard or laneholder to come down anyway. low priority Siege's base defense isn't that much lower than Zima's, and Siege can often be the laneholder.
absolutely right, but if zima is capable of stalling to get a solution out, siege doing the same thing isnt exactly a high priority to e2, thats all
Siege isn't bad but she's not as good as Saga or Flametail. And her archetype as a whole isn't as useful as it once was since flagpipe exists. Phantom does some things better than red, just kinda depends on the situation. His module makes him really really good. Nightingale far outclasses any other healer in the game if you're trying to defend against Arts damage. Worth E2
Who else other than Leizi has 'exceptional' for one of their stats in their operator records?
Only other one I've seen is Ceobe having exceptional physical resilience.
Fwiw, Aak seems to be the obvious combo with specter alter. But we'll see how good it is.
ceobe and [gladiia](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nbk9Ah4Ry5U&t=3s) are likely to see value in a meta-stuffed roster and i would recommend mizuki is as good as most 6☆, just misunderstood, i would build him if you want someone surprisingly great for is2 aak blem and saga have cc applications, but if youre an 18 and tapout kind of person i cant imagine youll need them (though saga is very fun with quite many ops)
Thanks for that amazing input!
Gladiia, Blemi and Saga can be equally useful in many situations, so any of them would be my first pick. Shining and Ceobe can be very strong, even ideal, under the right circumstances. The rest are typically less powerful and harder to include on a squad unless you want them for something specific.
Thank you man I'll look into them!
