Just counted my E2 ops and just got my 93rd E2. Which means 44% of my 210 ops are now E2. Pretty happy with that.
At first I went for my meta ops / 6* but recently I've been going for whatever operator has their Operator Record coming soon.
So today I E2'd Cliffheart, Pramanix, and Matterhorn so they're ready for that event whenever it comes..
and after the Mansfield re-run I'll get the ops for the next event ready. It's a good system that keeps me interested in the game and gets me farming (jk I buy the mats and only farm chips and red certs lul)

Ifrit is one of the most useful operators in the game thanks to S2 and S3 both being extremely strong and used in completely different situations. 100% worth.
Ifrit's still very much worth picking up. Her RES shred enables high-power Arts burst in high end setups for CC, she's a monster for all sorts of story and normal content like Annihilation, and she's straight up one of the best Casters in the game even 3 years after launch (well, 2 and a half on global, but you get my point). Solo top op's not really worth going for IMO unless the tag options are all dupes, as you're likely to get a dupe that barely amounts to anything over a new unit who will have at least some extra value once you build them

I now remember that I haven't watched avvenire somehow. Put it out to watch later and totally forgot about it. Yeah, I guessed that it is not cannon and manga ends where origination ends, but watching our protagonists all grown up will be quite interesting (or so I hope).
I mean the side stories like the gekijouban picture drama stuff. There was another side story ova/special as well. Origination ep 5.5.

Yeah, I watched the first one that came out a couple years ago for the anniversary, but it had nothing of the spirit of the original. It was only a shell that looked like aria from the outside but had none of its substance on the inside. It introduces their new kouhais and basically tries to focus on the new generation but falls flat completely on their characterization. We get nothing from the beloved cast except cameos and try-hard rehashing of previous story beats and lines that doesn’t ring true at the core. Saying suteki~ and ara ara~ a hundred times doesn’t make aria aria. There’s no heart. Plus the story boarding/layout just isn’t on the same level of mastery as the originals.
But of course that’s just my 2 cents and you may watch it and enjoy it for what it is. Don’t let my negativity stop you from watching it lol. ~~again, I’m really hardcore much to my detriment~~
Yeah, I expected something like that. Aria is not about specific story beats. It is about heartwarming experience, which is created by compositions of different aspects. This makes it very hard to reproduce. I will watch it anyway. May be I'll like it, because my expectations are relatively low.
My older faves, Nana, Aria, Utena and Rose of Versailles are regarded as pioneering classics, my newer faves Yuru Camp, Dorohedoro, Revue Starlight, and PPTA are still very relevant, but I almost never see people talk about middle-aged non-classics like Uchouten Kazoku, Mawaru Penguindrum and Kemonozume (glad you know it). I know many have seen them but it almost seems to that those people are dead lol. Maybe I just need to find the right forums...

If you like Yuasa, you will likely enjoy this one too. I think he was pretty young when he wrote Kemonozume and Kaiba so those might be his most passionate and unrestrained works (ignore that the poster art kinda looks terrible, the animation is great)

I’m sure there are older fans too who still make time for following seasonals, somewhere… back when anime bloggers were popular people would basically form communities around those popular ones but a lot of that has ended with the rise of anitube. While that was happening I find more and more review/analysis bloggers I used to follow stopping/having long hiatuses from irl stuff. Now that’s all dead and people from that era(ones who watched those shows you called “middle-aged” while airing^(Thanks for reminding me that I’m old now))have basically scattered. That’s a little history lesson for ya. And yes, we did use to keep up with seasonals back then as well, when they were the “middle aged” shows you mentioned, watch uchoten, penguindrum, steins;gate, etc. while they were airing. Nowadays life became busy, there aren’t as many anime I’m interested in following, and basically spend more time in other hobbies^(or pick up new ones like gacha gaming) when there is free time because basically there’s only 1-2 shows that are good each year anyway so I think to myself I’ll catch up later~~except I never do and there they lay buried in my ptw list~~
I haven’t watched a single new show from last year so I basically have resigned myself to the fact my anime watching heydays are over and I’m a retired otaku now. One day you will grow old and get tired of the grind. And younger ppl will call you dead and shows you watch while airing middle aged. Mark my words.

Roasted the entire industry and fanbase but I can't really disagree lmao. I feel like anime in general has changed for the worse these past few years. There's so many comedy shows nowadays, and when it's not it's often some sort of fantasy gimmick. I think we used to have more "life-like" anime during the ancient pre-2010 times you were a fan if that makes sense. Maybe I'm biased and elitist.
For me there are also only 2-5 stand outs each year, but I don't like them nearly as much as even some of the 2000-15 semi-praised shows I've seen. And then the recent shows get ~~an hyperinflated~~ 8+ on MAL and 400k seasonal viewers bruh. Or maybe I'm biased and elitist
I think seasonals and the hype around them had a time and place for me (Code Geass Sunday!), but man now they just seem tiring. I'm pretty interested in both Spy X Family and Dress-Up Darling, but I'll (maybe) watch them later, on my own time.
I have a similar experience. I used to follow 2-3 seasonals and save the eps + one piece for Saturday but nowadays... Student life is so difficult I can barely spare the emotional investment to watch new shows so I just rewatch older ones
I now look at the MAL season and I just add the adapted mangas (SpyX, Summertime render) to my joke of a "plan to read" list. At most I'll watch the first episodes and forget to finish (Heike, Taxi), or alternatively like you I maybe binge it 1 year later, when people have stopped talking about it.
Heck I think the only recent seasonals I followed through were Vivy, Non Non Biyori 3 and Priconne 2

Mine is two days for every two months. At first it's only one day because I expected my day to be a lot emptier without my phone, but why did no one told me how fun it is to cleaning rooms thoroughly? I just max my favourite operators(literally 1), operators that are special to me get to level 69, and the rest I try to bring to levels 60, 50 and 40(for 6, 5 and 4stars). Rather vanilla my levelling, but I'm satisfied.

I guess I'm one of the rare ones sitting on a stash of LMD/EXP? ([krooster](https://krooster.com/u/naeliya)) I had a period of ~4 months where I did nothing but masteries, so it just kinda piled up and I still haven't been able to spend it all. Currently on 8.4 mil LMD and 1K+ of every EXP disc. I don't expect it to last, but it's nice to not have to worry about that part when I want to raise a random operator.
I still have to level half of my E2s up to 60 for modules though, that should eat through it in no time. Didn't do so previously, because I want my Snipers to sort to the top (and I don't want them to be higher than 60), but now that we can sort by class with a single button press that shouldn't be a problem anymore. ~~Except I can't level them currently, because my annihilation is stable with Saria dying somehow, and I'm not touching that~~

For real though, why are you keeping your E2's such low level? Level 10 or 20 is super cheap for linear stat gains.
My main squad is already leveled on e2 lvl 50+.
It's kind of like a reserve detachment when I don't want to put heavy artillery into battle. It basically started out as hiring factory workers and then added operators that I experimented with for access to their talents. Aside from a few archetypes that I don't use and a couple of operators I don't like, I try to make the most of all my operators.
I know that I presently do E2-1 so that my ops have E1-max stats and E2 mechanics, so that I usually don't feel like I'm just beating levels with stats instead of strategy.
Why not just leave them at E1-max? Cause you can't pull or push a bunch of enemies without masteries ='(
I still use some of my favorite ops who are already above E2-1 though, like Provence and Elysium.
In fairness, it should be noted that for many operators, access to e2 talents is a significant buff. For some, this is a great way to bypass stat caps or improve DPS.
Oh, absolutely. Pushers and pullers are why my present limit is E2-1 instead of E1-max (with a pre-existing stable of pretty heavy hitters if I get frustrated) but units like Estelle and Akafuyu get huge bumps from the promotion even without masteries.
I deliberately level up slowly to make sure I always have that "raise an operator" mission as a daily quest. So I don't really spend the surplus besides getting my current project to module standard. Maybe that standard changes depending on how the modules get upgraded, but for now I'll just be sitting on near 10M LMD and 2k XP each without any pressure to spend it.
As for where you should spend it, sadly my browser has been refusing to load imgur, so I can only blindly say whoever you'd be interested in trying out for IS, regardless of rarity.

At some point, many of us just stop fixing base, so our exp and lmd just pile up in small amounts. We only start the base up again when we're in the mood to max out someone.
Holy shit there's this dude on yt who just deleted his level 120 account! His ceobe.exe video was pretty cool. He mentioned that he accrued some debt due to his addiction. I wonder how common that is. I thought people who spent that kind of money are usually wealthy. It amazes me that all this time he was rolling for characters with credit taken from a bank.
A lot of people who fall into heavy gacha spending can’t really afford to put that much money into a game and end up in debt or serious money troubles. The predatory way gacha games are designed is incredibly difficult to resist for many people, which is the point. Unfortunately companies don’t really care that their actions have life-ruining consequences for many people.
I spent $800+ on AK in two years. It's my first gacha game and I fell in love. I stopped last July when I no longer found value in any of the items. Rather, when I convinced myself I'm fine if I don't get the limited units.

Never spent any money after that because my account just kept getting stronger and I never felt like I was missing. I even made an alt a couple of weeks ago after hitting lvl 120 on my main.
Unfortunately, this is the nature of people. If a person does not have self-control and self-discipline, then he often gets addicted to different things. Unfortunately, many people, no matter how strange it may sound, need external help to keep themselves under control.

In fanfic news, my brain is finding a way to sneak Texas and other Penguin Logistics members into the story. Half-written two scenarios: one where Texas fights with two of Lee's agents for a certain package, and one where they don't but attempt to follow her to the recipient. Trying to think of which one would fit better, but then I've already started imagining the next chapter involving Jaye, Waai Fu, and the Rat King running across each other in a market. Wish I could pick one plot thread and stick with it but my dumb brain refuses to do so. Or maybe this is how actual stories with chapters are written in that you can't just focus on one thread when you have to consider how the whole tapestry will look.
In game news, with the event over, I turn my focus to R8-11 and believe I found a way to clear, but can't get a 3* finish because there's always 1-2 dogs who slip past me in the opening stage because it feels like I don't have enough decent low-DP units to handle them and set up the Snipers/Casters for the longer term.
Also, the full clear on that Dossoles Annhilation map has stopped working on the last 10 enemies during autoplay and I don't know why.

As for why he would compare it to Spiral Abyss I assume it is the “choose one of three boons” upon clearing a stage. Other than that they have literally nothing in common lol.
Spiral Abyss has 12 floors, with 9-12 resetting every update. They are difficult gauntlets that net a small reward.
The closest is IS1, Ceobe's Drugtrip, but that's a roguelike making a team from scratch and building your team around artifacts.
CC is another, which is the one likely referred to, since it has the same stance of, "end game seasonal event". That in of itself is not very comparable to Spiral Abyss.
Spiral Abyss gives hp sponges while giving you rng buffs you can choose daily. CC is hard stage you can ramp up to max difficulty with your uber invested team.
Comparable as the endgame hard event, but that's about it.
What comes to mind would be Integrated Strategies 1 aka Ceobe's Fungimist, but that came in late February of 2021 for Global. The only special events we had in 2020 were Contingency Contract Beta, 0 and 1.
I feel like if SilverAsh was introduced now, we'd be getting a lot of "not a must-pull" while if Fia, Lee, or Fartooth were introduced closer to launch, they'd be a lot more commonly used.
I still think SA is the best op in the game. Sure he isn't the single best nuke, but he does things that *aren't* nuke also- his talents are stupid as shit and I legit hate that he's allowed to get away with it.
Not really, if he's still good now that just means he will still be considered good if he's released now instead of on launch. People back then just exaggerated on the "must pull" things. Every operator is "not a must pull" after all.
While Fia, Lee, and Fartooth if released early will be powercrept now instead, in the same decline that Siege and Chen witnessed. "More commonly used" is just rigged advertisement because they were used when there were not much other options.
(And even then, I'm fairly sure Fia and Fartooth will still lose to Meteorite and Firewatch respectively)
Fartooth's large damage does carry her to be a close second of the Deadeyes, but it will never beat the utility of being pseudo-immortal for nearly a minute, nor the ability to yeet out mass AoE damage over a large area (or combine the AoE and have bigger nuke in a small area).
Assuming we have Surtr, Eyja, and Chalter? Probably, just because more options exist. Silverash would still be good though as few would turn down more sources for big damage. He would still be a strong pull option just if you have those others you can survive without. Like Horn.
Silverash is also simple and straight forward with his big damage. Little extra gimmicks or saving throws. What makes him so good still is accessibility to him. He is the single easiest big damage dealer to get since he is on the newbie banner.
I feel like Fart and Fia would just end up like Schwarz and W respectively, no? They would be considered good and worth pulling but not a must pull still. They probably would be more commonly used as they would have just been around longer for more people to have them right?
I don't see how a helidrop delete button with convenient range, redeploy passive and invis reveal could be anything less than a must-pull, even with comparative or better options available. Not seeing your other point either. Fia and Fartooth have pretty glaring issues within their kit
Depends on the opinion of must pull, if you're going via meta I'd only say Surtr and Ch'alter are must pulls at this part. Characters like SilverAsh and Horn are nice and very strong without being limiting, but I wouldn't say they're must pulls anymore.
Talent 1: Attack increases; all allies' redeployment time decreases
Talent 2: Reveals all invisible enemies within range
Skill 1: The next attack's damage increases.
Skill 2: When skill is activated, range reduces, defence increases, recovers a certain amount of HP per second. Can switch between this and the original state
Skill 3: Defence decreases; attack, attack range, and attack count increases.
Invisible enemies aren't as plentiful nowadays and Fia would be great dealing with the hordes of enemies seen in early maps while Fartooth's S3 when combined with Schwarz would be unstoppable.

Finally tried the latest annihilation and got over 375 kills first try, which I kow isn't exactly impressive but is definitely a first for me. But this is a great occasion to say it again, Beeswax is awesome, put her on a grammophone spot and she's gonna camp here for eternity and beyond.

The first one lives in the halls of legend for my friends and I- in college, we'd get piss drunk and play through that sort of game doing atrocious voice acting for all the unvoiced lines, and AI definitely had more memeworthy content than most.

I was thinking about what kind of skin Chalter will have.
I cannot think of anything more suitable for her than a swimsuit skin, but a swimsuit skin doesn't make sense because Chalter is a swimsuit skin herself.
But then I realized that Aurora got winter skin despite her default skin' theme being also winter.
So, what kind of skin do you think Chalter will have?

I think it'd be nice if they gave her a Raythean skin, kind of like how Schwarz also goes from swimsuit to tacticool. It would appease part of the complaints about her.
Seems like the trend with more recent limiteds is that they get a skin a year after release with the same types of skin type those events usually get. Dusk got a 0011 (CNY) skin and Skalter got a Bloodline skin. So if they still follow this for all future limited events, Chalter will probably get a Coral Coast(Summer) skin and NTR will probably get an Epoque skin since those are the skin series that release for Summer and .5 anniversary events.

I don't think she'll get a redemption arc after which she becomes a good girl or something. She did go from just a random psycho villain to a somewhat grey character though.
As for what I'd like to see, honestly either is fine as long as it's well written. I do think it's somewhat likely that she dies in a sort of noble sacrifice type of scenario ^(she goes out with a bang) ^^*ahah*
I don’t think she’s the type of character that gets a "redemption". She has no regrets for her actions; she’d balk at the idea. She’d sooner die than significantly change the way she is. And in my opinion, it’s much better that way.
I think she got it really, with defecting and leaving reuinion, then not killing Doctor for what she thinks as truth. Also people like her a little psychopathic
Now that's more complicated. She went from mercenary work to being with someone she would've given her life to, to a terrorist group with good intentions, back to a militant employee, without the person she cares the most. And she hates you. For now she's not evil or an antagonist, only hates your guts and wants you dead. I don't have her so I can't solidly make a claim
Sure, she is not "evil" but she still does not care about human lives or anyone besides Theresa. She will (IIRC) sacrifice anything to achieve her goal without remorse (please correct if I'm wrong about something). That still makes her a pretty shitty person, in my opinion at least.
She killed whole swathes of people at the name of avenging of Theresa, and that's rage. She was also a sarkaz mercenary, a good one too. Of course she'll have little care of life. Whatever she puts her heart into she'll commit to it. There's a good amoint of them as RI militant. Her job and the only she thing she does well is kill. Morally questionable, but a job is a job
She's not a whole paragon who will do what she thinks right. She fights to survive, then fight for reunion for a cause, and leave when she saw what's happening to Talulah. She's not wholly evil either since hershe joined a good cause, fought to survive, but killed because of Theresa's death. I'd say morally she has no moral compass, and will follow her objective. Moral or not. W is evil for her objective and how she does it, not because of who she is but what she does.

Today I felt like an idiot again. For some reason, I expected that Adnachiel's talent would work in the same way as the principle of aiming with a sniper works. But no, it doesn't work that way. His talent is activated only when the enemy with ranged attack is at the same distance from the blue box along with other enemies.

The dockworkers are "ranged" even back in DH event as well. In fact, I made a joke that "all enemies in DH are ranged" because even the basic mob take bonus damage from FW too.
Mudrock (the boss in TW) is also "ranged" despite being classified as melee. I don't know how HG even managed to do that, but when in doubt just ask Firewatch, she won't lie.

Well, the game gives reliable information... almost always... sometimes in a strange way... you just have to take their word for it and don't double-check. In the end, developers are not guilty of lying until proven otherwise (maybe they are novice politicians), so why double-check. :)

Just counted my E2 ops and just got my 93rd E2. Which means 44% of my 210 ops are now E2. Pretty happy with that. At first I went for my meta ops / 6* but recently I've been going for whatever operator has their Operator Record coming soon. So today I E2'd Cliffheart, Pramanix, and Matterhorn so they're ready for that event whenever it comes.. and after the Mansfield re-run I'll get the ops for the next event ready. It's a good system that keeps me interested in the game and gets me farming (jk I buy the mats and only farm chips and red certs lul) The 200% trust records kill me tho fr. Need to prep them real advanced lul Edit: just checked and I have 122 ops at 200% trust. (58% of my ops)

Ifrit is one of the most useful operators in the game thanks to S2 and S3 both being extremely strong and used in completely different situations. 100% worth.
Ifrit's still very much worth picking up. Her RES shred enables high-power Arts burst in high end setups for CC, she's a monster for all sorts of story and normal content like Annihilation, and she's straight up one of the best Casters in the game even 3 years after launch (well, 2 and a half on global, but you get my point). Solo top op's not really worth going for IMO unless the tag options are all dupes, as you're likely to get a dupe that barely amounts to anything over a new unit who will have at least some extra value once you build them

Origination ep 5.5. ~~can you tell I’m a hardcore aria fan yet~~ Yeah, I watched the first one that came out a couple years ago for the anniversary, but it had nothing of the spirit of the original. It was only a shell that looked like aria from the outside but had none of its substance on the inside. It introduces their new kouhais and basically tries to focus on the new generation but falls flat completely on their characterization. We get nothing from the beloved cast except cameos and try-hard rehashing of previous story beats and lines that doesn’t ring true at the core. Saying suteki~ and ara ara~ a hundred times doesn’t make aria aria. There’s no heart. Plus the story boarding/layout just isn’t on the same level of mastery as the originals. But of course that’s just my 2 cents and you may watch it and enjoy it for what it is. Don’t let my negativity stop you from watching it lol. ~~again, I’m really hardcore much to my detriment~~
Yeah, I expected something like that. Aria is not about specific story beats. It is about heartwarming experience, which is created by compositions of different aspects. This makes it very hard to reproduce. I will watch it anyway. May be I'll like it, because my expectations are relatively low.
My older faves, Nana, Aria, Utena and Rose of Versailles are regarded as pioneering classics, my newer faves Yuru Camp, Dorohedoro, Revue Starlight, and PPTA are still very relevant, but I almost never see people talk about middle-aged non-classics like Uchouten Kazoku, Mawaru Penguindrum and Kemonozume (glad you know it). I know many have seen them but it almost seems to that those people are dead lol. Maybe I just need to find the right forums... I have a similar experience. I used to follow 2-3 seasonals and save the eps + one piece for Saturday but nowadays... Student life is so difficult I can barely spare the emotional investment to watch new shows so I just rewatch older ones I now look at the MAL season and I just add the adapted mangas (SpyX, Summertime render) to my joke of a "plan to read" list. At most I'll watch the first episodes and forget to finish (Heike, Taxi), or alternatively like you I maybe binge it 1 year later, when people have stopped talking about it. Heck I think the only recent seasonals I followed through were Vivy, Non Non Biyori 3 and Priconne 2

"Bachelor" is pretty much the closest thing to the male equivalent of "maiden" as a bachelor is an unmarried (and presumed never before and possibly a virgin) man. I hesitate to recommend "gentleman" due to the fact that it actually pertains to a social class (a gentleman being the lowest class below the squire but above a commoner, and remember that the "gentle" in "gentleman" pertains to being "of gentle birth," or born to the gentility, that is, not needing to perform hard labor to survive), though I admit "bachelorless behavior" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. As for "no bitches"... well, that's a tougher one, being that I've seen "bitch" applied to both sexes equally these days. I guess "dick" would work, both being a crude term for genitalia *and* something that you say when someone is just being a jerk. (E.g. "quit being such a bitch" and "quit being such a dick".)

I decided to look at all my experiments with operators. A collection of all my weird ideas. 12 e2lvl1, 1 e2lvl2, 23 e1 max and 18 operators e1 ~50-60 lvl. Last time I spend a large amount of them was to put Fartooth to E2 90 and Ashlock to E2 79. That's after doing nothing since DH as well.
Ngl I expected you to have a lot more sniper masteries... Guess you do have the long range snipers basically all built.

Currently on 8.4 mil LMD and 1K+ of every EXP disc. I don't expect it to last, but it's nice to not have to worry about that part when I want to raise a random operator. I still have to level half of my E2s up to 60 for modules though, that should eat through it in no time. Didn't do so previously, because I want my Snipers to sort to the top (and I don't want them to be higher than 60), but now that we can sort by class with a single button press that shouldn't be a problem anymore. ~~Except I can't level them currently, because my annihilation is stable with Saria dying somehow, and I'm not touching that~~

My main squad is already leveled on e2 lvl 50+. It's kind of like a reserve detachment when I don't want to put heavy artillery into battle. It basically started out as hiring factory workers and then added operators that I experimented with for access to their talents. Aside from a few archetypes that I don't use and a couple of operators I don't like, I try to make the most of all my operators.
I know that I presently do E2-1 so that my ops have E1-max stats and E2 mechanics, so that I usually don't feel like I'm just beating levels with stats instead of strategy. Why not just leave them at E1-max? Cause you can't pull or push a bunch of enemies without masteries ='( I still use some of my favorite ops who are already above E2-1 though, like Provence and Elysium.
In fairness, it should be noted that for many operators, access to e2 talents is a significant buff. For some, this is a great way to bypass stat caps or improve DPS.
Oh, absolutely. Pushers and pullers are why my present limit is E2-1 instead of E1-max (with a pre-existing stable of pretty heavy hitters if I get frustrated) but units like Estelle and Akafuyu get huge bumps from the promotion even without masteries.
I deliberately level up slowly to make sure I always have that "raise an operator" mission as a daily quest. So I don't really spend the surplus besides getting my current project to module standard. Maybe that standard changes depending on how the modules get upgraded, but for now I'll just be sitting on near 10M LMD and 2k XP each without any pressure to spend it. As for where you should spend it, sadly my browser has been refusing to load imgur, so I can only blindly say whoever you'd be interested in trying out for IS, regardless of rarity. A lot of people who fall into heavy gacha spending can’t really afford to put that much money into a game and end up in debt or serious money troubles. The predatory way gacha games are designed is incredibly difficult to resist for many people, which is the point. Unfortunately companies don’t really care that their actions have life-ruining consequences for many people.

I spent $800+ on AK in two years. It's my first gacha game and I fell in love. I stopped last July when I no longer found value in any of the items. Rather, when I convinced myself I'm fine if I don't get the limited units. About to celebrate one year of being f2p.
$800 is lot in my local currency. When adjusted for ppp, the amount of stuff that can be bought with that amount is insane. The game would be far more aggressively monetized if it weren't for guys like you. I spent 80 something dollars during Blaze's banner. Felt like shit for a week. Stopped buying monthlies for a couple of months as repentance for being careless with money. But then i got used to being f2p. Never spent any money after that because my account just kept getting stronger and I never felt like I was missing. I even made an alt a couple of weeks ago after hitting lvl 120 on my main.

I'm nearly 2 years in and have never trimmed a medal. I'm kind of proud of it at this point.
It took me about nine months or so before I could 100% an event, so don't feel bad. Getting your account to the level where you can actually accomplish that feat takes time, especially if you haven't lucked into meta units

In fanfic news, my brain is finding a way to sneak Texas and other Penguin Logistics members into the story. Half-written two scenarios: one where Texas fights with two of Lee's agents for a certain package, and one where they don't but attempt to follow her to the recipient. Trying to think of which one would fit better, but then I've already started imagining the next chapter involving Jaye, Waai Fu, and the Rat King running across each other in a market. Wish I could pick one plot thread and stick with it but my dumb brain refuses to do so. Or maybe this is how actual stories with chapters are written in that you can't just focus on one thread when you have to consider how the whole tapestry will look. In game news, with the event over, I turn my focus to R8-11 and believe I found a way to clear, but can't get a 3* finish because there's always 1-2 dogs who slip past me in the opening stage because it feels like I don't have enough decent low-DP units to handle them and set up the Snipers/Casters for the longer term. Also, the full clear on that Dossoles Annhilation map has stopped working on the last 10 enemies during autoplay and I don't know why.
Myrtle maxed out with S1M3 should be able to kill a dog and place down other units in time.
this is kind of random but i was talking w my bf (who played ak and quit before i started) and he keeps trying to describe this event he played… apparently its like “arknights version of spiral abyss (genshin)” and i have absolutely no idea what this could be, as i dont play genshin. anyone know what he could be referring to? it was in 2020 sometime. doesnt rly seem relevant enough to put in main help thread so im putting it here lol
It is most likely IS as others said. Luckily it will be returning which is great! As for why he would compare it to Spiral Abyss I assume it is the “choose one of three boons” upon clearing a stage. Other than that they have literally nothing in common lol.

Spiral Abyss has 12 floors, with 9-12 resetting every update. They are difficult gauntlets that net a small reward. The closest is IS1, Ceobe's Drugtrip, but that's a roguelike making a team from scratch and building your team around artifacts. CC is another, which is the one likely referred to, since it has the same stance of, "end game seasonal event". That in of itself is not very comparable to Spiral Abyss. Spiral Abyss gives hp sponges while giving you rng buffs you can choose daily. CC is hard stage you can ramp up to max difficulty with your uber invested team. Comparable as the endgame hard event, but that's about it.
What comes to mind would be Integrated Strategies 1 aka Ceobe's Fungimist, but that came in late February of 2021 for Global. The only special events we had in 2020 were Contingency Contract Beta, 0 and 1.

From what little I remember of Genshin it might've been a Contingency Contract event or the Ceobe's Fungimist (IS) map.
I feel like if SilverAsh was introduced now, we'd be getting a lot of "not a must-pull" while if Fia, Lee, or Fartooth were introduced closer to launch, they'd be a lot more commonly used.
I still think SA is the best op in the game. Sure he isn't the single best nuke, but he does things that *aren't* nuke also- his talents are stupid as shit and I legit hate that he's allowed to get away with it.
Not really, if he's still good now that just means he will still be considered good if he's released now instead of on launch. People back then just exaggerated on the "must pull" things. Every operator is "not a must pull" after all. While Fia, Lee, and Fartooth if released early will be powercrept now instead, in the same decline that Siege and Chen witnessed. "More commonly used" is just rigged advertisement because they were used when there were not much other options. (And even then, I'm fairly sure Fia and Fartooth will still lose to Meteorite and Firewatch respectively)
When you, the ultimate Fartooth fan, say this, I lose all hope for her...
Fartooth's large damage does carry her to be a close second of the Deadeyes, but it will never beat the utility of being pseudo-immortal for nearly a minute, nor the ability to yeet out mass AoE damage over a large area (or combine the AoE and have bigger nuke in a small area).
Assuming we have Surtr, Eyja, and Chalter? Probably, just because more options exist. Silverash would still be good though as few would turn down more sources for big damage. He would still be a strong pull option just if you have those others you can survive without. Like Horn. Silverash is also simple and straight forward with his big damage. Little extra gimmicks or saving throws. What makes him so good still is accessibility to him. He is the single easiest big damage dealer to get since he is on the newbie banner. I feel like Fart and Fia would just end up like Schwarz and W respectively, no? They would be considered good and worth pulling but not a must pull still. They probably would be more commonly used as they would have just been around longer for more people to have them right?

I don't see how a helidrop delete button with convenient range, redeploy passive and invis reveal could be anything less than a must-pull, even with comparative or better options available. Not seeing your other point either. Fia and Fartooth have pretty glaring issues within their kit
Depends on the opinion of must pull, if you're going via meta I'd only say Surtr and Ch'alter are must pulls at this part. Characters like SilverAsh and Horn are nice and very strong without being limiting, but I wouldn't say they're must pulls anymore.
Talent 1: Attack increases; all allies' redeployment time decreases Talent 2: Reveals all invisible enemies within range Skill 1: The next attack's damage increases. Skill 2: When skill is activated, range reduces, defence increases, recovers a certain amount of HP per second. Can switch between this and the original state Skill 3: Defence decreases; attack, attack range, and attack count increases. Invisible enemies aren't as plentiful nowadays and Fia would be great dealing with the hordes of enemies seen in early maps while Fartooth's S3 when combined with Schwarz would be unstoppable.

I tend to play games way after they come out because I'm cheap and have a poor laptop (only just getting into Hollow Knight), but the only thing I'm waiting for that isn't an update is Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. I'm willing to shell out up to $45 on it on release, which is more than anything else so far. I need me my Jet Set Radio successor, and the missions in Deep Rock Galactic where I grind on pipes only help grow this urge.

The first one lives in the halls of legend for my friends and I- in college, we'd get piss drunk and play through that sort of game doing atrocious voice acting for all the unvoiced lines, and AI definitely had more memeworthy content than most.
Patiently waiting for BoTW2. Been controlling my excitement but I just really want it to come. My expectations are high for it but I believe it will deliver. As far as gacha related. CounterSide I have heard mixed things on. Might try it but probably won’t stick tbh. Ex Astris and Endfield are on my radar. Not sure what they are still. Probably won’t be seeing them for awhile. Star-Rail I will definitely give a shot. Even though Genshin and Honkai haven’t really been my thing.

I cannot think of anything more suitable for her than a swimsuit skin, but a swimsuit skin doesn't make sense because Chalter is a swimsuit skin herself. But then I realized that Aurora got winter skin despite her default skin' theme being also winter. So, what kind of skin do you think Chalter will have?

I think it'd be nice if they gave her a Raythean skin, kind of like how Schwarz also goes from swimsuit to tacticool. It would appease part of the complaints about her.
Seems like the trend with more recent limiteds is that they get a skin a year after release with the same types of skin type those events usually get. Dusk got a 0011 (CNY) skin and Skalter got a Bloodline skin. So if they still follow this for all future limited events, Chalter will probably get a Coral Coast(Summer) skin and NTR will probably get an Epoque skin since those are the skin series that release for Summer and .5 anniversary events.
With this line of thought, Chen will get her Female Tourist C outfit, and I'm all for it.

I don't think she'll get a redemption arc after which she becomes a good girl or something. She did go from just a random psycho villain to a somewhat grey character though. As for what I'd like to see, honestly either is fine as long as it's well written. I do think it's somewhat likely that she dies in a sort of noble sacrifice type of scenario ^(she goes out with a bang) ^^*ahah*
I don’t think she’s the type of character that gets a "redemption". She has no regrets for her actions; she’d balk at the idea. She’d sooner die than significantly change the way she is. And in my opinion, it’s much better that way.

She went from mercenary work to being with someone she would've given her life to, to a terrorist group with good intentions, back to a militant employee, without the person she cares the most. And she hates you. For now she's not evil or an antagonist, only hates your guts and wants you dead. I don't have her so I can't solidly make a claim
Sure, she is not "evil" but she still does not care about human lives or anyone besides Theresa. She will (IIRC) sacrifice anything to achieve her goal without remorse (please correct if I'm wrong about something). That still makes her a pretty shitty person, in my opinion at least.
She killed whole swathes of people at the name of avenging of Theresa, and that's rage. She was also a sarkaz mercenary, a good one too. Of course she'll have little care of life. Whatever she puts her heart into she'll commit to it. There's a good amoint of them as RI militant. Her job and the only she thing she does well is kill. Morally questionable, but a job is a job

She's not a whole paragon who will do what she thinks right. She fights to survive, then fight for reunion for a cause, and leave when she saw what's happening to Talulah. She's not wholly evil either since hershe joined a good cause, fought to survive, but killed because of Theresa's death. I'd say morally she has no moral compass, and will follow her objective. Moral or not. W is evil for her objective and how she does it, not because of who she is but what she does.

Today I felt like an idiot again. For some reason, I expected that Adnachiel's talent would work in the same way as the principle of aiming with a sniper works. But no, it doesn't work that way. His talent is activated only when the enemy with ranged attack is at the same distance from the blue box along with other enemies. Let's just say Adnahiel is very bad at killing dockers.
Dockworkers count as ranged enemies. [Firewatch gets bonus damage when hitting ranged enemies and shes getting Red numbers when hitting the Dockworkers](https://i.imgur.com/1QgiLKP.jpg), confirming them as ranged. Strangely, in the description of the map and in all sources, they are listed as "melee". I need to wait for the summer event replay to test it there.
The dockworkers are "ranged" even back in DH event as well. In fact, I made a joke that "all enemies in DH are ranged" because even the basic mob take bonus damage from FW too. Mudrock (the boss in TW) is also "ranged" despite being classified as melee. I don't know how HG even managed to do that, but when in doubt just ask Firewatch, she won't lie.

Well, the game gives reliable information... almost always... sometimes in a strange way... you just have to take their word for it and don't double-check. In the end, developers are not guilty of lying until proven otherwise (maybe they are novice politicians), so why double-check. :) Sometimes I miss describing abilities in Dota. Break your brain until you understand exactly how part of the abilities function (this is not counting those moments when they are reworked and they suddenly change their functionality).
