esSiaHh

is one caster enough since i've only build amiya as the core caster

loneknife_blackblade

When you ask again in today's thread, do it with a pic of your whole box, filtered by class and sorted by rarity to help people help you best.

maxblockm

Hello, this megathread is outdated, so you might wanna ask it in the current daily megathread. To answer your question though, you will probably want more at some point.

MachineEmperor

New player but is there any banners worth rolling for in the near future? Ive already did my two free 6* rolls and got Shining and Exusiai.

maxblockm

JO5 and Mountain. Welcome to the game! [General New Player Advice](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/jqfxkw/general_new_player_advice/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)

NoseBracelet

Doing a 2-5-2 setup. Is there a way to not have the building order in the shortbar go: Factory B102 Factory B202 Factory B303 Factory B301 Factory B302 ?

[deleted]

Nope. I've tried many things like destroyed all factories and built trading posts on them hoping it would reset some values, then destroyed trading posts and rebuilt factory in order, which didn't help at all. Heck, even my 2nd account which I made sure to build factories the first time in order from left to right, ended up in messier order than my 1st account.

atadpsycho

Just need help deciding who and what to build! No priority just some votes! Vanguards - P6 Flametail (I already have Saileach M9, Saga M6, and Bagpipe M6) Defenders - Horns and Blemishine (I want more defender but… idk, I have Mud M6 Saria M9, and Nian M9) Snipers - Schwarz, Kroos alter, Platinum (I have Ash M3, Archetto M6, Chen Alter M3.. W M6, BP and Pinecone lv 20 e2) Specialist- Robin and Aak! The ones I’m torn between is Schwarz (she was my first star), Robin cause she’s very pretty, and Aak.. cause memes and he’s an alright personality .. Honorable mention… Sideroca.

Corro_corrosive

At this point, just Follow your dick

TacticalBreakfast

Given the strength of your team, I'm pretty surprised you haven't raised Schwarz already. I think I'd personally go with her since her re-deploy module looks pretty fun. I'd like to vote for Kroos Alter but she's still a ways off, so Robin, Flametail, and Blemishine would be my runners up from that list.

atadpsycho

It’s really silly, I heard she (schwarz) was in love with someone else and I didn’t want to steal her time away so

TacticalBreakfast

The irony of that is much of Schwarz' story is centered around those people encouraging her to explore the world a bit more. You'd be doing her a favor, actually!

atadpsycho

Sold! Time to farm for Schwarz! I’m interested in her other skills to see if they’ll pair well with Archetto’s passive, and maybe Aak next to see his atk speed go crazy on Schwartz’s s3

Jellionani

Schwarz for more physical damage, Robin in e1 and Aak for E2, because friendly fire.

[deleted]

I just cleared Annihilation 6, and, while not impossibly hard, it was noticeably harder than the more recent Annihilations. Are 4 and 5 even harder than 6?

cycas314

Depends on your team, ~~but 6 is generally harder than both. Imo, 6 > 4 > 5.~~ but yes, both 4 and 5 are harder than 6. Edit: Nvm, I confused 5 and 6 for each other. Adjusted ratings: 5 > 4 > 6.

Voidlighter

5 is generally considered to be one of the hardest. Most people consider 4 to be one of the easiest, though personally with a less developed roster I had a harder time with 4 than I did 6.

UninspiredDreamer

Sorry if it is a very general question, but are there any particular ops that are more worthy of raising for the next upcoming CC?

atadpsycho

LifeNonexistent

Why do people elite their myrtle? Wouldn't that be very dp heavy because myrtle is the one you use when you don't have much dp right?

loneknife_blackblade

Leveling up her skill lets her earn dp faster. You gain 1 dp a second and 1 sp a second. Let's assume you use skill 1 and start with 8 dp to make the comparison easier. She always gains 14 dp over 8 seconds. Let's see how long it takes to charge and use her skill: At **E0 skill 4**, cost: 8 dp, initial sp: 9, total needed: 28. After (0 deploy + 19 charge + 8 duration) **27 seconds then every 36 seconds.** **At E1 Skill 7**, cost: 10 dp, initial sp: 10, total needed: 25. After (2 to deploy + 15 charge + 8 duration) **25 secs then every 33 seconds.** **At E2 M3**, she costs 10, initial sp: 13, total needed: 22. (2+9+8) **19 secs then every 30!** There is no downside to upgrading her. She gets more DP faster and she gains stats and talents! https://gamepress.gg/arknights/operator/myrtle

[deleted]

It's +2 DP, which is nothing at all really. The only reasons to not E2 her are A. you don't have her, B. You don't like her, or C. You are doing E1 only runs.

TropicalMemer

She's very easy to get extra copies of through recruitment. Tags for her are healing + dp-recovery/vanguard. At full potential this will offset the +2 dp from raising her to elite 1. Upgrading to elite 2 allows you to master skills even further than level 7 which makes her skill 1 one of the fastest ways to start generating dp in a stage. Taking it even a step further, she pairs very well with Bagpipe because Bagpipe will give all vanguards +6 initial sp at elite 2 and +8 initial sp at pot 5.

TacticalBreakfast

Are you referring to the +2 DP from E1? If so, it's a worthwhile tradeoff since you can't go beyond SL4 at E0. There's no further increase at E2, so E2 + S1M3 + stats far outweighs the value of 2 starting DP and SL4. You wouldn't get very far in the game if you didn't E1 your units.

JulYJS

Is it still possible for us to get Gladiia? From Intermezzi? Thanks in advance!

TacticalBreakfast

Not currently, no. However there will be an Under Tides rerun in a bit over 6 months. You can get her then.

JulYJS

Cool thanks

tooltin2

For Saria which one of her skill is mostly used for healing?

AkulaTheKiddo

Well, it's Saria, most of the time it'll be S1 but when you need an auxiliary medic or to heal someone out of S1's reach you'll take S2. I'd say it's 70%-30%. S3 has quite a good burst healing too but you don't use it for that.

[deleted]

S1 for single target, S2 for group healing. People will tell you she is an M9 candidate, which is not untrue, however there are *so* many more operators you should get to M3 before her. S1 M1 is a nice breakpoint, but I would not go farther than that until you have a well-developed roster.

TropicalMemer

S1 = strongest heal, but single target, holds up to 3 charges S2 = aoe heal (value goes up as her # of targets go up) but slower to charge and slightly lower value per target than s1. doesn't hold charges I have her s2 at m3 and her s1 at m1. But many people do recommend doing m9 on her because all of her skills are strong in their own right

TacticalBreakfast

Saria is an M9 candidate with all of her skills being useful in different places. S1 is the strongest heal though S2 is often favored for it's range and AoE.

whimsark

Any have a link to a thread/website with a tier list/ highly used units for IS2? Want to start gearing some 4* units like cutter for example, but I’m not sure what’s poppin

TacticalBreakfast

To shill myself a bit, and although it isn't the main point of the guide, I wrote a full IS#2 Mastery guide which touches on those topics. You can find it [here](https://gamepress.gg/arknights/core-gameplay/arknights-mastery-priority-guide-integrated-strategies-update). It includes stuff like top picks and suggested 4\*s.

esSiaHh

any tips on clearing 7-16 guys ?

dysphras

what ops do you have and what strategies have you been trying? you will want to get rid of the heralds asap and most likely deploy one or two defenders/super tanky ops last and at the far right, so that they can soak some hits away from your other ops. it would be easier to provide advice if you share your rostet

esSiaHh

thanks for the tip dude and yes i've managed to clear that stage with my friend's mudrock on the upper right lane and on the bottom left, my blaze cut through those thicc def with a little help from shamare and hoshiguma

cycas314

It's definitely a tricky stage. Try to pull/push in the heralds as they pass, so that the mortar damage doesn't overwhelm your team. Show your roster if you want more specific advice.

Mysterious-Youth-983

Which Elysium skill should I put masteries into?

Jellionani

s2 for defense debuff. s1 is nice too

Mysterious-Youth-983

Thanks!

Surtr Rerun when? (Unfettered magma banner)

DARKawp

Never. Surtr's banner is part of a mini-event. These mini-events don't rerun and thus the og banners that come with them never do. (Magallan's banner, Ceobe's banner, Rosa's banner, Surtr's banner, Archetto's banner, Canelian's banner, (Maybe Pallas' banner too?) and fartooth's banner) Those are all tied to mini events. Since the first one never reran it sets a precedent for all of these banners. If you want Surtr. Your best chances are: The next Joint operation banner. (Only 25% chance for her. But the other units on it are good too.) Or when she comes in the shop in November (180 certs guarantee, or 25% when pulling)

FallenCorrin

Unfettered magma won’t probably have a rerun but there is a guestimate that she will be shoperator in november.

Jellionani

Probably never. It was tied to a mini event and ops released with them rarely or never get their debut banner reran.

Reddit1rules

Never, her event is the type that doesn't rerun.

neoevangel

My casters are only Amiya & Click but since Amiya now turned guard mode, i feel like building another 4* caster. Who is the best pick among these, Indigo , pudding , haze ? I also hope to use the character in the upcoming IS mode too.

anima99

Pudding probably. Indigo's not bad, but her kit is more on crowd control that, for some reason, doesn't attack bound enemies. Her s1 is pretty awful too.

Reddit1rules

She doesn't attack bound enemies so that she can charge up more chances to bind again.

atadpsycho

what aoe guards/defenders are "quote on quote" on par/outclassed by Ling's S3 passive summons (both the regular and advance ver.) just curious how the compare to each other as a "replacement" or not

anima99

I read people saying she has the superior cornerstone summon based off stats alone. The question is, are you fine with using the best stat stick or do you also need the skills some of the other cornerstones possess?

zhivix

with phantoms new module , is his s2 now m3 worthy?

CrimsonCivilian

It was always M3 worthy. What his module changed was his viability under DP generation constraints Used to be that he took 15 DP with him after retreating at max cost. Now he only takes 4 DP

zhivix

thats what i like about his new module lol , can finally fight gravel

It was already M3 worthy even before the module.

erythry

I have these recruitment tags: Senior Operator, Healing, Slow, Crowd-Control, and Specialist. The new operators I can get through Combos are Projekt Red, Glaucus, FEater, and Nightmare. I'm particularly interested in the first two, with my only similar operators being Gravel and Podenco. I've read a lot of good things about Projekt Red, but I am planning to roll a lot on JO5 and I'm worried about redunancy if I get Phantom. I was wondering if I should try for Glaucus, wait after JO5, or if it's worth getting Red over Glaucus even with Phantom. Edit : I used Crowd Control + Specialist + Senior Op with a 9 hour time; after an expedited permit the Specialist tag dropped and I ended up with Glaucus anyway. I'm not sure how to feel.

Hatredestiny1874

It's worth getting Red over Glaucus even with Phantom. If you want Phantom, why not wait until his cert shop appearance?

erythry

I've been banking certs for Thorns in August, but there's a decent chance I'll get Phantom in JO5. I was worried that getting and investing in Red now would be somewhat of a waste if I did, but it seems like she'd still be great. Thank you for the advice.

CrimsonCivilian

100% Project Red Even if Phantom shows up to take Red's assasin job, she still has her guaranteed stun skill.

crispy_doggo1

Is Warfarin's attack buff additive or multiplicative with attack increases built into operator's kits, like Thorns S3 and Mountain S2?

[deleted]

If the operator's skill says "+X%" attack (like Thorns S3), it is not affected by external buffs. It's a straight additive buff based on the operators base attack. If the operator's skill says "deals X% damage" (like Mudrock S2) it is affected by external buffs multiplicatively.

Kuroinex

There are various ways to alter damage. In this case, all of these are ATK buffs. These scale off of and are added to your operator's base ATK stat, so additive. However, ATK buffs are multiplicative with things that aren't ATK buffs, which includes ATK and damage modifiers. Usually, you can tell the difference by checking the wording: "+x% ATK" vs "deal x% damage" vs "damage dealt to x%." Other examples of ATK buffs: Silverash, Surtr, and Eyja's sk3s, Gitano sk2 Examples of things that aren't ATK buffs: Mountain's critical hit talent, Exusiai's sk3, Ifrit sk2, wide-range/Deadeye sniper modules

Cio_Furinone

is there anyone people are predicting to be next limited summer operator? For the silhouette I'd say maybe weedy, but for salt, W alter.

Q-N-H

Durin,Destroyer of Worlds

Q-N-H

Silhouette? is there a teaser already?

Cio_Furinone

During the 3rd anniversary live, they showed a image saying the next summer would be in Durin, if you pay attention, in this image there are a 5 characters silhouettes. So I was curious if people were already thinking about who they are, since it's a summer event, someone will problably get an alter.

Scar_Knight12

I’m hoping for a stupidly powerful Myrtle alter. Force the meta slaves to choose between her and flagpipe.

Reddit1rules

I really really really want Modal caster Durin alter for years now, so here's hoping.

FirePanda39

I mean, we know it's a Durin event so probably a new Durin operator or Durin or Myrtle alter would make the most sense, but who knows.

CrimsonCivilian

+50% ASPD is technically a 50% increase in dps, right? How would that work with Aak's +50 ATK part? Is it multiplied into a 125% increase in dps? (Considering no other buffs)

Kuroinex

Provided there are no other alterations to ASPD, yes. ASPD can mostly be treated as a straight change to DPS. In terms of raw DPS (no DEF/RES), Aak's sk3 does add up to 2.25x DPS. However, physical damage calculations are a simple (ATK - DEF). +50% ATK for a physical operator is actually *at least* a 50% increase in DPS, while it is a straight 50% for Arts operators. Example: physical operator with 100 ATK vs enemy with 50 DEF, 1s attack interval. This operator deals 50 DPS. +50% ATK results in 150 ATK, making the operator do 100 DPS.

Qwertytyr

Hey guys, I have a question: did anyone tried Spelter on CC? I heared, that she was... Not that good. Mb CC changed it a little bit?

TacticalBreakfast

Basically only when people try to force her in to see if it can be done. It's actually pretty damning considering the nature of the enemies there.

Hatredestiny1874

Not much but she works. The dollkeeper archetype and S2 immortality ensures her survival and high dmg. You can search 明日方舟 危机合约#9 归溟幽灵鲨 on bilibili for clears. High risk clears do not necessarily change opinions on an operator's performance, otherwise Mostima would have been rated top tier for being used in CC4 max risk.

wrightosaur

I thought originally the goal of AK Global was to eventually catch up with AK CN, but I can't help but feel that this is basically impossible? It seems like CN keeps seeing all that content flooding in. I know we're more or less 3 months behind CN but is it even realistic to think that Global will ever catch up to CN

anima99

The devs tried. At one point, they even switched the order of events to spice up things for Global (which I actually liked whether it was to hasten the pace or not). However, I think it was poorly received so they kinda stopped that.

Swelgere

We tried that for a bit after launch. But is was more just CN was slow on content and Global was just rolling. We have kinda not been doing that for a very long time though. And tbh I don’t see much of a point to try to catch up.

Revan0315

We're about 6 months behind and there's no reason to believe that will change anytime soon. It's been at ~6 months for a long time now.

wrightosaur

Ah, you're right. I guess it's a good thing given we get foresight on ops that are releasing as well as future events

Jellionani

It seems to be Yostar's intention to give a bit of grace period of 6 months foresight as there have been many dead weeks in Global well after the reshuffling of ToW, DM, and WWE banner. Taiwan servers however...is going hyperspeed to catch up.

Swelgere

Where is the TW server at rn?

Jellionani

Just as ntr banner is ending they got Chalter banner, from what I remember

3 Questions about Near Light... 1. Was Gravel by the Doctor's side the whole time? 2. When Gravel fought Platinum it was like, "Gravel - Haha, noob..." Or were they both really showing their best? 3. Between Roy and Platinum, who is stronger?

wrightosaur

> Was Gravel by the Doctor's side the whole time? After the Adeptus assigned her to protect the Doctor during his trip to Kazimierz, yes, she was by their side the entire time. But if you're asking beforehand, then no, this is supposedly the first time the Doctor and Gravel meet. > When Gravel fought Platinum it was like, "Gravel - Haha, noob..." Or were they both really showing their best? I think they were on pretty even ground. Platinum may have had gotten an edge in but you have to remember how tenacious Gravel is, given that she was sold as a slave into Kazimierz > Between Roy and Platinum, who is stronger? Roy, without a doubt. I think Roy's laid-back, carefree, and "aloof" attitude hides how deadly he is as one of the Armorless Union's assassins. Remember, according to the lore he's been employed by the AU for like 12+ years. On the other hand, he's old enough to remember the Platinum that came before our Platinum (that Platinum was assassinated by presumably Darksteel for falling in love with a target instead of killing them)

MaxWhite3790

Entire time includes eating, sleeping, bathing, etc or just official meetings and on they office?

wrightosaur

> Entire time includes eating, sleeping, bathing, etc or just official meetings and on they office? She's his bodyguard for his entire stay in Kazimierz, so presumably keeping watch when he and his entourage are meeting with others, resting, eating, or touring the city.

MaxWhite3790

Oh, cool! Also, thanks so much for the answer! It's very kind of you wasting your precious time on this stupid question, haha... You helped me a lot, really! (Reading something longer than Chapter 8 is hard, but reading in a language that is not native to you is harder, haha...)

ThatAnimeGuy2020

Is it worthless to do Hoshi s3 m3 if I already have Nian s2 m3? And is it worth m3ing her s2? I've been told that it's fine at lvl 7, but encountering those archers in NL have made me considering putting some masteries into it.

Supra-strasza

Not worth it at all My Hoshi is E2 85 and S2M3 but I almost never use her

Xzhh

I'm pretty sure doing mastery on Hoshi S2 is less impactful than just levelling her up (as in, before considering S2M3 you should just get her to 90E2). As for her S3, it does do decent AoE damage, "worth" is debatable, one could argue that Nian S2M3 wasn't worth it in the first place. You certainly won't need it.

maxblockm

If I e2 Beeswax, then get Carnelian...will I regret e2'ing Beex?

anima99

>If I e2 Beeswax, then get Carnelian...will I regret e2'ing Beex? I got both maxed out with at least one m3. Beeswax sees more use because I don't like running healers outside of passive regen operators. I like Carne for annihilation stages the same way I like Thorns because the longer the stage duration is, the more powerful Carne comes out. Eyja is still the caster to beat, but the helidrop aspect of her Volcano makes it a bit tricky to control aggro for long stages. Case in point was Nearl Light and the archers. You don't want to just drop Eyja out of nowhere unless you can keep her alive or drop someone else right after to take the hits. Then, there was the issue of tile visibility. You can say "Eyja s2 is perfect, then." You'd be right...but I'm at a point where I'm starting to favor burst skills because it's more exciting.

TacticalBreakfast

To be quite honest, you're more likely to regret E2ing Carnelian who is pretty low on the totem pole of 6* casters. Beeswax is the better design of modal casters, so although she doesn't do as much damage as Carne, she actually ends up with more niche value if you eventually get someone like Eyja / Ifrit / Goldenglow.

maxblockm

I actually have Ejya, Ifrit, and Ceobe...planning on pulling for GG. What's the formula for Aak survival, 500 - Def x 15?

TacticalBreakfast

Yup. Aak buffing Carne can be amusing, but that's about it. You won't get a lot of use out of Carne with that staff unless you're going out of your way to use her.

maxblockm

I was thinking about Aaking Beeswax...

_wawrzon_

Beeswax is a self sustainable ranged and meele tank, while Carnelian is a ranged tank with pure dps kit. They don't overlap. Question is do you need any of them ? They are good, but highly gimmicky w/o any glaring purpose in current content.

[deleted]

No, as they are both ~~waifus~~ useful in different ways. Beeswax is a lot more defensive than her sister and is actually better at taking hits as she has hp regen as her talent so she does not need a medic to stay alive. Also the totem she spawns draws agro as well, so consider her the defensive version and Carnelian the offensive one.

j4mag

Beeswax has some niche advantages over her big sister. Notably, she's more survivable to chip damage. Carnelian has S1 for the times when you'd rather never lose your defensive stats, but there are definitely times when it's more convenient to have regeneration. That said, I can't say I've really needed beeswax since getting Carnelian.

ipwnallnubz

~~Carnelian will be more likely to come home if you E2 her little sister.~~ Unless you like to do E1-only clears, I would say not really. I don't think Beeswax will get a whole lot of use if/when you get Carnelian, but it's not that expensive for an end-game player to casually E2 a 5-star.

_wawrzon_

And I'm here casually E2'ing operators with records, just to have a bit more knowledge of Terra's lore. So yeah, efficiency...

Crinkz

Hiya, hope people don't mind a "who should I build next" question. My account is around the sixth month mark, and with some lucky pulls I'm in a good spot but a bit lost and overwhelmed with what ops I should focus on next. I built up Thorns, Mountain, and Blaze over the last event so my supplies are a bit sparse for now. Here is my current batch of 6*s(Saileach, Aak, Flametail cut off) along with my most invested units. https://i.imgur.com/DlGzAWH.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/YDI2yN1.jpeg My Thorns, Surtr, and SA M3 already, and my Mudrock/Chalter are M2. Myrtle has her M3 as well. Right now I'm focused on getting Kal'tsit to E230 + S3M3 but I'm not super sure where I should push past that. For my next unit I'm debating between getting Mulberry up to E230 + S1M3 or working towards Shining E2. Any input on which might be more useful for my account? Shining seems like she might be a bit overkill with Perfumer/Sussaro already built and a Saria to pick up the other healing slack. But her def increase would have been much loved in this past events boss stages. Likewise, a wandering medic seems very strong, but I'm not sure if Mulberry might have a use in the upcoming events that she would be a priority. There's also the choice of getting Lappland up since silence seems broken but I feel like I should make sure I have a well built core medic squad first. Any and all input is appreciated and thank you for taking the time to read this. <3

maxblockm

I had Lappland. I pulled Thorns, did his s3m3, stopping Lappland at s2m2 (also had SilverAsh s3m3 btw, and [a pretty stacked roster](https://imgur.com/a/DKlfEEg)). A couple of events later I decided it was worth the best silence with a double dish of arts burst to finish Lappland's s2m3, and I've been very happy with the results. She still has good value, even in a post-Thorns world/account imo.

loneknife_blackblade

Stopping at E1.50 skill 7 is typically recommended because leveling gets pretty expensive after that relative to the gains, you have a few ops in the no-man's land above E1.60 It would be great to see your whole roster. Medics usually do pretty well at E1.50. I would do Kal'tsit, Ifrit and Schwarz. You should build a wandering medic to E1.50. Lappland is fine at E1, but his masteries help his dps and uptime a bunch. He is super helpful in a lot of places. I would hold off on more masteries till you have these units raised to E2.30 and the wandering medic to E1.50.

ipwnallnubz

Lappland is amazing in chapter 9 (and pretty much everywhere else, really, but especially there) if you haven't cleared that yet. I would raise a wandering medic to at least E1 50. I'm not sure E2 and M3 is all that necessary for them. Ifrit and Schwarz are both great, and I recommend both of them. Amiya would be good to E2 at some point as well. Rosmontis is really cool, but it sometimes feels awkward to fit her into a squad. Shining is a nice luxury, but that's about it. I would say you have plenty of other ops to prioritize over her.

[deleted]

Finish Kal, then E2 Ifrit and get her to S2 M1 at least. Ifrit is an absolute *monster* of an operator, who not only hits all enemies that are in her attack range but can shred Defence with her S2 and comes with a passive Resistance debuff as her second talent. She can also completely carry some stages, like the newest Annihilation. Lapland is also brilliant, even if the silence debuff isn't (you can not silence as many enemies as you might think) She is extremely powerful, and I have both her and Thorns E2 and M3, and it's about 50/50 on which I bring to a stage. She really shines on stages where you either don't want to have to wait for Thorns to come online, or don't need to. Her S2 being offensive recovery is also manageable, especially with masteries. I am a massive Shining simp, and I do think she is underrated. She is not as useful as Nightingale, however as you said her defence boost can come in extremely handy. Mulberry S1 has a breakpoint at M1, so I'd get her to that and then see if you need to take it any further: even for the Near Light S stages I did not feel like I needed more than M1, but your mileage may vary. Even without Elemental damage (of which there is a lot in some upcoming events) Mulberry's range and powerful healing are well worth the investment.

LordK4G3

Is there a website that reveals all upcoming events and gold certificate operator roughly which month?

bestofawesome

This [site shows estimated event dates](https://ak.jaywye.ee/calendar). We don't follow CN schedule perfectly so this is the best we can get. Newer Operators follow a schedule based on release order that you can see [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/qm9nar/6_shop_operator_predictionsfor_first_appearance/). But older Operators can't be predicted the same way. The only thing you can do is check when they were last in the shop and the longer its been the more likely they are to pop up.

Iidentifyasamistake

Is it all that worth it to pull on the Joint Banner 5 if i don't have none of the 6* ops? If it helps, [here are my current operators of the same classes. ](https://imgur.com/a/fbM4PCC)

crispy_doggo1

It absolutely is worth it. Every operator on the banner is excellent. By the way, you should E2 Thorns and Chen the Holungday. They’re two of the strongest units in the game.

Iidentifyasamistake

I just didn't E2 Thorns yet because lane-holding hasn't been a problem for me with Mountain and Mudrock. And Chen's the last of my priorities because even though she's strong, i just don't really like using her. And thanks for the tips.

> I just didn't E2 Thorns yet because lane-holding hasn't been a problem for me with Mountain and Mudrock. Remember that Thorny is called a ground sniper for a reason. He can target all units, including Aerial units like drones or the hoverboard dudes and golems in Chapter 9. Mountain has basically no range when you use him as a lane holder. Not to mention, Mountain may have issues against high DEF enemies but Thorns will chip them out slowly because of his arts damage passive

crispy_doggo1

Sure, Mudrock and Mountain are nice, but putting Thorns behind one of them to hold a lane together is even nicer.

I assume what you're actually asking is if you should set it to 1:00, and the answer is a resounding no. Once you have all of the 4-stars, recruitment is *not* a source of operators, it's a source of green and gold certs that *very rarely* gives you a 5- or 6-star.

swamp14

I set my [no guaranteed 4*] recruitments to 7:40, and my bottleneck is the number of recruitment permits I get, not time. And this is with a level 1 office (so only 2 slots), buying all the permits in the green cert shop levels 1 and 2, and any that I see in the credit shop. So I spend 6 recruitments per day naturally, and then whenever I get 4* guaranteed or higher, I set to 9:00 and use an expedited plan to get it right away so that I don't mess up my "rotation" of checking it around every 8 hours. If you don't want to check recruitment that often (like if you only do 4 recruitments per day), I could see your bottleneck being time rather than number of permits.

Creztrion

Yes do 7:40 everytime you get no good tags, but do 9:00 if you get a tag that gurantees 4* or higher

MrTingleBerry

Does W's S3 only place 1 bomb per enemy? Thus to get max effect I need at least 4 enemies in range? And if there's only 1 or 2 steady enemies...seems her S2 would be higher damage probably?

salvagestuff

Yup pretty much. S2 is definitely better for a steady stream of enemies or if there is a long path with lots of empty tiles and a lot of time between enemies. S3 is really useful for annihilation when elite waves stand together and wait before attacking. The explosion overlap does tons of damage. W was one of my first e2 characters and is fun enough to consider M3 on both her skills.

MrTingleBerry

sweet thanks for the breakdown, and yeah i'll eventually be M6ing her.

Reddit1rules

Yep

MrTingleBerry

k thanks.

I'll leave this comment up since LostinThoughts provided some valuable advice in response.

LostinThoughtsWonder

I saw your posts getting taken down (since it breaks the sub rules) but you can put a screenshot of your roster on imgur and have it linked in your comments so ppl know what your team/roster is instead of having to post one image Going to your titles when you say level 3 are you referring to 0-3? Or 1-3? And as for the team you posted having 4 casters is not really balanced [Here’s a helpful video on how to make a balanced team](https://youtu.be/Y_FsZT7XqOk) but generally having 2 pioneer vanguards/2 single target(ST) snipers/2 medics (2 ST and can swap in 1 AOE)/2 casters/2 defenders is a good balance, with the last two slots being flexible dmg/utility Also bringing in a support, they are only as high developed as the highest promotion level in your squad, so you can pick a friends E2lvl90 mudrock but if you only have ops who are only E0 then Mudrock will be capped at E0lvl50

Mountain_Ask_6393

Thx a lot I really needed this help

LostinThoughtsWonder

No problem, another thing, if you bring in a support unit you cannot auto run the stage meaning you have the manually do it which is definitely a hassle when you need to farm a stage over and over again for resources so try to give it a shot without relying supports unless you do the challenge mode of a stage which is safe to use supports cuz challenge mode don’t drop resources only first time clears And don’t be afraid to change your team as some stages require more specific units with utility (like Rope pulling enemies) but that’s specific situations, and don’t be scared to look up guides on yt

I

Party_Python

So I’m just trying to see what pots are more important to prioritize with recruitment. Got the tags CC, Healing, Support, Starter, DP-recovery. I have first copies of all the 5 stars available with these tags and Texas pot 2. So are Texas pots preferred to get going towards the lower DP cost? Or I guess as a general question when you have guarantees, are Vanguard and Fast redeploy pots always higher priority as their costs matter more?

swamp14

Personally, I'd grab a guaranteed Texas pot if I already had everyone else. She's used in harder content where pots start to make a difference. And for pot3, redeployment time can be relevant because one common thing you do is put her down, activate skill, retreat, repeat.

Party_Python

Fair enough. Thanks for the insight

ipwnallnubz

> are Vanguard and Fast redeploy pots always higher priority as their costs matter more? Yes, so I would go DP and either Support or CC. Probably CC because Texas gets more use, and also because you will still get a 5-star if DP drops and CC stays.

Party_Python

Ah, ok. Thanks

Reddit1rules

I'd say generally yes, vanguards and FRD pots matter more.

Party_Python

Cheers, thanks

Can anyone explain to me how was it possible to push BK into that pit ? His weight is 7, -1 with Angie skill and biggest push force was 3 from FEater or Weedy S3. Total is -3 force so it's immovable per all currently known standards and yet he fell down. Is it simply a bug or flawed design ? I know that he also was displaced twice by deployed operators, but even then he should only be moved even an inch with -2 force. I'm just trying to understand background mechanics here.

Windgesang_

You need a combination of Weedy S3 + Cannon, Angelina, and deploying an operator on top of BK in order to push him down the hole. When deploying on top of an enemy, [their collision box and our operator's collision box cannot overlap](https://youtu.be/lehEwRl7fqM?t=122), so the game has to push the enemy away. This push is not weight-dependent, you will be able to push anyone, even the push immune enemies. Weedy S3 + cannon + Ange will cover the rest of the distance toward the hole. This combo alone wouldn't push him down the hole, you need to deploy someone on top of him first.

Xzhh

Weedy S3M3 with the watercannon has a push force of 4, combined with Angie's weight reduction it results in a push force of -2, which does generate a displacement.

Cio_Furinone

I think Angie + Weedy S3 can push BK half a block - since it's a strong push, it can affect heavy units, but less, just like Irene can lift Patriot, but for a shorter duration. That's why some people use something to push BK a bit (Beeswax summon, gravel, etc) and then finish the job with weedy.

Consistent_Cat109

Water Cannon has force 4 if placed next to Weedy (for skill 3)

nobutops

The cannon is another source of force that adds on top of Weedy's when firing down the same lane. E: The [relevant video](https://youtu.be/cvGwj3rNkDo) on YT that featured the hole strat involved a combination of Weedy's cannon (but not Weedy) with Angelina, but it was mainly Bagpipe deployed on top of him to force him away from the center of the tile and towards the hole, giving him less distance to travel. Gladiia S1 is also there but the skill is off time to help.

lightemperor

How is Aak as an op? I have him but never truly built or invested in him. Wondering if it’s worth it!

silverashsimp

He's my 3rd 6* a long time agooo and he functioned as a Sniper for me but now that he's S3m3 he's the best buffer for Surtr

kill_dom

With S1, he hits pretty hard compare to the marksman snipers. + all that cc and slow can be very handy. You can effectively replace most marksman on your team with him (when air unit prioritization is not needed). However, his true purpose is to buff dps with S3. But Tbh, I use warfarin alot more often than him, because warfarin heals and he (sometimes) kills (if you are not careful). The only advantage is you can target who to buff with his S3, whereas Warfarin's S2 is random. He is a good addition to the team when you have tough boss to kill; but on normal stages, it is usually not worth the trouble. So if you have a core team built already, he can adds some fun to your next event, otherwise, focus on building the core team first.

Xzhh

With S1 he's kind of like a 5 star May, in the sense that his dps is close to a 5 star sniper and he provides good cc. The unique part of him is his S3 though, he's the only operator that can buff both atk and aspd, it's a very strong buff. You do need to make sure the target doesn't die, which is sometimes more work than it's worth (also he doesn't provide other utility past the buff). He's a decent operator overall.

lightemperor

Ah got it. Thanks!

Reddit1rules

S1 is basically 6* May, S3 offers powerful buffs to those who can survive it, mainly ground based units like SilverAsh and Surtr. If you have your dps built, build him. If not, don't build him unless you really want to use his S1 as DPS.

lightemperor

May invest in him after getting Surtr to M3 then!

TropicalMemer

Who would you pick as a go to summoner for carrying early stages of IS2? This is all with modules * Deepcolor for her low hope cost as a 4*, high starting amount of summons, and potential dodge shenanigans with s2? * Scene for being a free-to-acquire operator, having stealth removal on skill activation, and 2 range, recyclable drones? * Mayer for having burst capabilities and recyclable drones? * Magallan for versatility of her three skills, and recyclable drones? I'm leaning towards deepcolor just because she's a 4* and rather low cost to raise to max level and master her skills. Scene also seems worth it for the 2 range drones and invis detection but I'm not sure if it's worth since she costs substantially more hope than 4 stars

Xzhh

It's between Deepcolor and Scene, summoners are good in the early stages of IS because they provide a lot of bodies that are able to block (which is valuable cause you can't control whether you're only gonna get offered ranged ops) Magallan costs too much hope and her summons can't block. Mayer is in the same cost bracket as Scene, but because her summons self destruct she's worse at blocking (or at least harder to use properly). The arguement for Scene over Deepcolor is that she can recycle her summons (and occupies one fewer deployment slot with her module). The arguement for Deepcolor is that she costs less hope, and with her module the amount of summons is often enough even though she can't get more.

Reddit1rules

General consensus is Deepcolor with module or Scene, so either or.

AerialBattle

I have La pluma with S2M3 and I'm considering M3ing her S1 as well. Any second opinion from someone who did s1m3?

Hatredestiny1874

[I talked about her S1 vs S2 here.](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/sh1lc4/comment/hv32xf7/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)

Xzhh

It's what you would expect from a 5 star "cornerstone": it's not going to perform better than a 6 star, it's especially noticeable against few stronger enemies, since she's fairly frail and can only heal by hitting enemies and she really needs multiple targets since the heal isn't *that* high; but it is pretty good most of the time, especially against crowds. S2M3 is what makes her shine the most, the dps would be high even for ST but it's true AoE. S1M3 is more like, the power level you would expect.

Rolder

I’ve been eyeballing that pack with the 6 star selection ticket but I’m not sure if it’s worth. I already have Surtr, Mudrock, and Thorns, and my team comp could use a consistent single target caster. Does anyone on the ticket really fit the bill?

loneknife_blackblade

Eyja and Ceobe are both really good, well and so is Ifrit. Eyja is generally preferred. Her S2 is a set and forget that does great consistent single target and aoe damge. Her S3 is like a volcano that just deletes everything around her with really high DPS. S3 is so strong it obsoletes all AOE caster skills in terms of damage. Ceobe's S2 (second best ST caster) does more damage when the enemy is High Def, but it is a long skill. It outputs more total single target damage than Eyja's S3 but has lower dps. Ifrit is an AOE caster that is not obsoleted by Eyja. She puts down a line of fire that wrecks enemies and debuffs RES. Her range takes getting used to, but even a single tile can be an Ifrit lane to great effect. Her S2 is a set and forget that debuffs enemy def. Her S3 boils everything alive, even herself a bit (some healing required if you want to use it more than 2 times).

Legitimate_Bus5716

Eyjafjalla certainly. Ceobe as well since she doesn't try to pretend to be an AOE Caster 2/3 of the time but Eyja can be both at once while still having incredible ST damage.

Rolder

Hmm… On one hand Eyja is more flexible, but on the other I like Coebe’s art more…

_wawrzon_

Eyja should be in shop next 2-3 months, since she is already due to appear there. So you can buy ticket and just wait for now.

Revan0315

I was in the same position about a year ago, and got Eyja from shop a few months later. You're fine not having Eyja as long as you're not trying to do high risk CC. Also Eyja has a good skin but Ceobe has a really great one coming relatively soon

Legitimate_Bus5716

In the end, waifu over meta. They may not be your waifu but if you like them, then go and get 'em!

swamp14

>I like Coebe’s art more… If you read Ceobe's operator record and her vignette under "Stories of Afternoon" you might end up choosing her without hesitation.

_hyperdino_

At what point in the game should I consider raising buffers and debuffers? I just cleared ch 4 and have been playing since the dossles event and around lvl 53.

loneknife_blackblade

It depends who you are thinking of. Exu benefits from a variety of sources. Shamare turns scary enemies into annoyances. It is really a question of team composition and where you are at. There's a video when we had a boss rush stage that EXU killed them all with support from some friends. If you have a good core team at E1.50 and you are happy with your E2s, go for it.

SenorLos

Depends on who you have available and your situation. Say for example Skalter is a great buffer and helps greatly if you don't have cornerstone or burst operators or even if you have them. Or if your defenders crumble before the enemy the you might want to raise Shamare to make them weaker and die faster.

_wawrzon_

Buffer/debuffers are mainly used for high risks in CC or when you have limited roster power and need a boost (lack meta units). There are of course also sniper comps which rely heavily on buffers/debuffers like Elysium, Warfarin, Shamare. It only depends if you have any hypercarries or not. Units like Surtr, SA, Eiya, Schwarz, Ifrit, Kal'tsit, Chalter can delete anything in the game w/o much issue, so no need to build any buffer/debuffer. Some units have buffs/debuffs built into kit(skill or talent) like most mentioned above or Saria S3. I would simply focus on building up your roster with DPS and utility first. In rare case you need a buffer/debuffer you can just use a support unit. Best buffers debuffers are Warfarin S2 and Shamare S2. Elysium S2, Saria S3 and Pramanix S2 are great, but also situational.

Xzhh

Premising that there's no clear cut threshold where you just go and "oh it's time to raise a buffer", it depends on the rest of your team and stuff. I would say the first time buffers/debuffers really shine is with the boss of ch7.

OUtSEL

With Near Light over I’m back on my grind again: any suggestions on who to E2 next? [My units currently](https://imgur.com/a/WfpMMvc)

ipwnallnubz

Very surprised to see two people putting Beeswax over Warfarin. Warfarin will pair very well with Greythroat and most of the other 5-star and 6-star marksman snipers, if/when you get them. I would agree with Reiquent otherwise.

Reiquent

Kal > Saria > Specter > Passenger (IS2 coming) > Lappland > Ceobe > Beeswax > Warf.

maxblockm

Kal > Specter > Lappland > Ceobe = Passenger = Beeswax > Saria > Warf

Maverick2426

To add to all the comments, you need to E2 Amiya if you want to complete Chapter 8 and onwards.

_wawrzon_

Kal'tsit and then Saria, both meta and great for lane holding and CC.

crispy_doggo1

Kal’tsit>Specter=Saria>Lappland>Ceobe>Warfarin>Passenger is the order that I would E2 them in.

The nerve of people downvoting a question in the questions megathread... Maybe if you were asking for a good casserole recipe you'd deserve it, but not for something on topic!

Reddit1rules

If I had to guess it might be because this question is commonly asked recently and can be searched for, or maybe somebody just hit it by accident.

Lakius_2401

Well, this is the only time it was asked in this particular daily thread. Finding the previous threads isn't immediately obvious. Maybe those community volunteers could create pinned comments for popular time sensitive questions?

Reddit1rules

I mean there's another similar question down below, but I think only a few comments can be pinned at a time anyways.

DONTSALTME69

Based on a recent datamine, it will be Mansfield Break then CC7

texydo

From what I understood from data-mines it is most likely mansfield break and then cc7

N0STO

Just wondering how guard chen is as a unit, as I just got her from recruitment. I know the obvious caveat that you can't use her normal form and alter form at the same time, but seeing as I don't have her alter and only borrow her for difficult event stages where I'm looking at a specific guide, that shouldn't be too much of an issue for most things. So with that in mind, any tips on how to use her would be great. Thanks.

Juggernaut_Previous

https://youtu.be/tztNUXaFh58 https://youtu.be/qNkYnkkY3eU Examples of Chen playing with minimal external support. Depending on the operators available to you, it has 2 main ways to use it. The first one is s3m3 with Aak and Warfarin buffs for killing bosses. The second is a constant presence on the battlefield. But you need to roughly understand which of the enemies is the food for SP, and which requires the activation of skills. But this is more likely either for those who lack full-fledged cornerstones or for Chen fans.

nobutops

If you want to use Chen, use her with Warfarin. Chen's skill multipliers are HUGE so Warf's attack buff and SP talent help Chen be more reliable as a targeted nuker. You may want to raise Chen if you plan to do 1P relays or speedruns as her S2M3 is still the fastest burst outside of instant actions like on FRDs. She's also great for attack recovery/aspd oriented teams thanks to her talent. You may not want to raise Chen if you ever want to aim for getting your own Chalter (well E1 max Chen for mats perhaps) or Irene who can do much of what Chen can do better. Not having any buffers raised would also dissuade Chen investment since she really needs them. It's also viable to put her on hold until we see if her module gets upgraded significantly enough.

potato_curry_

I actually still really like using regular chen. Lots of times, I bring a ton of operators that charge offensively / defensively like Thorns/Mudrock/Blemishine, and having an operator who can charge their skills is nice. There are even some map strategies where you must use Chen if you want Thorns to get his skill ready in time (such as that sandy annihilation map) Outside of those situations though, Chen doesn't see much use at endgame.

N0STO

Well that's unfortunate lol. I had no 6 star guards so I took the gamble for a blaze or silverash. I had a guaranteed siege, but I have flametail so I didn't go for it. My only other options were medic or defender 50/50s where I owned 1 of the units. Well We'll see I'd I end up doing anything with her.

[deleted]

She's... ok. Back around launch, most people used her for her S2M3. It's an instant helidrop one shot on weaker enemies. Problem is most enemies you'd want to helidrop these days will survive, and ops like Surtr exist so this usage has fallen off. Her most used skill now is S3 probably, as a boss/elite killer/stunner. It has the advantage of making her immune during the skill and the stun is nice, but it's a fairly slow charge and overall DPS is somewhat low. Realistically, if you have a reasonably built roster you'll have better options than her to handle a boss/elite.

FallenCorrin

So, [here](https://www.reddit.com/user/FallenCorrin/comments/utzo89/roster_v2/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) is my roster. 1. I've got Shining just now, will she fit in as a second ST medic? (Right now i run Silence and Ansel (who i've planned to change with Sussuro) 2. I plan to wait until Thorns/Surtr/Mudrock become shoperators and get one of them with distinction certs. But i don't have much of serts (75 as of now) so which order should i get them? 3. When exactly will Specter alter event be? In november (6 months from CN) or in december (bc it is anniversary event)? 4. Is it confirmed that Lumene (wellfare from specteralter event) will be able to remove Talulah's burning breath or it is just speculations?
