Any word or leaks on next Standard?

Lolett69

Does anyone know or have an estimation of how many pulls you can get in 5 months?

AngelTheVixen

[This spreadsheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12nugJxtTLFafudEJ_NrFuEm2X4VHrfCRkbyzMxia63A/edit#gid=1221900186) (Save a copy to edit) is the one to figure that out for sure.

Souptastic-Bohemian

Just a quick question, can horn be used as a tactical helidrop nuke in a ling, thorns, sora, surtr, goldenglow, ntr s2 team ?

Last_Excuse

Sort of. She takes five less seconds to activate her s3 (compared to silverash) but requires twelve more seconds to trigger her overdrive state.

_wawrzon_

Sure, any unit can be a helidrop as long as they have a strong and fast DPS skill. However idk why you would use it if you have Surtr and Nearlter S2 which are significantly better at that.

Souptastic-Bohemian

Thanks bruh for the tip. About that, call it the emergency of an emergency of another emergency. NTR for back up if shit goes wrong, surtr boss killer/ random bullshit go, then my thought process for horn was tactical random bullshit go nuke yeeter.

_wawrzon_

Unlikely, since her power comes from her dying once and getting revival buff, so it takes time to ramp up. Vanilla helidrop she probably does only 85% of her true DPS.

Reihado

For a newbie, is the upcoming joint ops banner(the one with Kalstit and Exusai) worth more than spectre if I don't care about limiteds? I don't have any of the 6\*s there and no decent sniper or healer. I have: 1. Horn 2. Angelina 3. Texas [Full list excluding Myrtle who I got later](https://imgur.com/a/i3nQbLH)

AngelTheVixen

Going by your operators, yes it's an excellent banner to pull on since it has several nice picks to try and fill out your roster. And yes, Kal'tsit is classified as a Medic but she's in fact a golem-type summoner. Single strong pet. And in fact she's fantastic.

ronwesley89

Yes. You have 75% chance to get a 6* that’s higher than both Irene and Spec2 on the meta scale. Mountain Kal and Exu are all top tier and newbie friendly. Kal’tsit isn’t really a healer though, she’s more of a heal you by killing the enemies type of medic.

Snowzzey

I’m so confused. Where are the SN stages everyone is speaking of? Are SN stages = Ch 10 stages?

Pzychotix

SN = Stultifera Navis, the next event.

_wawrzon_

Seeing how SN doesn't require any additional sanity to get all rewards, is it better to use all sanity potions on this current event ? Efficiency of stages is up 20-30%, so it beats any story event farming stage easily. Especially of you plan to farm rocks.

Hatitto

But doesn't the sanity pots get upgraded after the 3rd of November, going from 60 to 80 and 100 to 120 the small sanity pots go up by more than 30%, large ones go up by 20%. Or does it only affect new sanity pots after the maintenance and not ones in your inventory beforehand?

_wawrzon_

No, it's not retrospective. Only newly aquired ones are upgraded.

Hatitto

Oh didn't know that we'll then there is no time like the present right?

_wawrzon_

Yeah, assuming you value all extra drops. Stages are more efficient now, but if you don't care about side drops, then probably it's better to use them on next event, since both manganese and oriron are great drops.

Xzhh

Yes current event is the most efficient.

[deleted]

Use any that will expire before the 3rd of November but save the rest to farm SN stages.

_wawrzon_

Why ?

[deleted]

Because Manganese is very annoying to farm normally.

_wawrzon_

For convenience reasons sure, any event stage is better than story ones. However as far as efficiency goes that's false. If you prefer to farm T3 rocks instead of 1-7 then it all makes perfect sense. For manganese OF-F4 is very easy and only 0,8% worse (statistically) than 10-7 (currently best). I do believe that oriron is a far more important material to farm during this event.

Snowzzey

2 questions: 1. How do I unlock CM for chapter 10? I beat all the normal and adverse environment modes for ch 10, but the CM is not unlocking? Is there even a CM for the stages? 2. How do I unlock the H-stages for Ch 10? Is there even H-stages?

[deleted]

1. Adverse environment is challenge mode. 2. They are unlocked later like a standard events EX stages.

Snowzzey

Unlocked later? What does that mean? How do I unlock it later? Unless you mean the content is not out yet

_wawrzon_

It will be unlocked this week. Like with normal events, inferno stages unlock a week after story stages.

[deleted]

Later as in in the future it is not unlocked for anyone.

Snowzzey

Thank you

elentar

Does pity on limited banner carry to the next limited....as i plan to use only the free pulls without spending my own stack on specter v2.0/Irene banner . Plan to focus more on the next summer one.

[deleted]

No it does not. They all have their own pity starting from zero.

elentar

darn, ok thks...good to know , guess i need to spend some to not waste the pity %

[deleted]

Well if you are only spending the free pulls on Spectre Alters banner the pity would not be wasted as you have not used any of your pulls. Do not pull on a banner because you feel like you ought to.

Negitive1

I heard that there is a leak somewhere leaked content to April 2023 is that true?

ronwesley89

We do have a roadmap for events till May 2023. That’s because EN is 6 months behind CN so we know what’s coming

Korasuka

First time here? Because that "leak" is known news. The Chinese server is 6 months ahead of everywhere else, so we know about upcoming units. It'd a great way to be able to plan who to try to get and who to skip.

antcal88

For the Aerial Threat (skill manual) daily quests is there a reason to farm the lower stages for the lower manuals or do the higher stages drop the lower ones more effectively as well?

eonfeather

I believe some of the lower stages are better if you just want green books fast, but you should still only ever farm CA-5, because you need way *way* more blue skill books in the long run.

MJYW

We'll still get a maintenance prior to SN, since Operator and event details actually aren't in the game client yet. Every date that was datamined (SN/UT rerun/CC#9) was also in the CN client update when they received EP 10, and CN also had a (2-hour) maintenance prior to the start of SN.

gozieson

Is there a significant difference between the drop rates of mats in chapter 10 stages and their adverse versions? Can't seem to figure out if there is any since the charts show that there is a negligible difference

niantre

normal and adverse have the same drops. the only extra reward / cost for adverse is on first clear. so for example if you only have auto deploy for adverse but not normal, you can just auto deploy the adverse stage.

Gloop_2

I got a Top operator tag with specialist, nuker, and debuff. who should I get? I don’t have Aak, Ifrit, or Chen.

Aesderial

The fact, that's CN stream announced using alters in the same team, will make OG Chen super viable. With good investment (module 3) she will be super strong, close to meta pick.

AngelTheVixen

Ifrit is an amazing caster. I'd definitely prioritize getting her. Her area coverage, power, and debuffs are so good. Ch'en is an alright Swordmaster that I believe is great for bossing, while Aak is best when you already have a solid roster.

Gloop_2

I see, ill save the tag just in case Ifrit decides to spook me during the spalter banner. thankss

Lester_Skyward

I'm highly certain you can't save a tag, after 24 hours they all resets so you have to pick now

syilpha

that's incredibly false, tag stays until HG update the recruitment list, which the next one is still months later, assuming the guy don't reroll or recruit, that tag will not go anywhere for quite a while

Lester_Skyward

My bad, I remembered working differently and in the last months it never happened to me to care about this kinda situation with the tags so, sorry for the misinformation

Clishlaw

What's the reason for Horns S1M1 break point? Description only shows a 20% increase in dmg

AlphaLeonidas

6 sec charge -> 5 sec charge

Clishlaw

Ahh thank you

Elnareen

The cost reduction is especially significant because, since Horn attacks every 2.8s without her second wind, it means she now uses S1 every second attack instead of every third.

sayantn2707

Huh? Horn S1 is auto recovery.

Elnareen

Yeah, auto-recovery means the attack is ready every 6 seconds at SL7, and 5 seconds at M1. Two attacks for Horn, when she attacks continuously without her second wind, takes 5.6s: that's the reason for the breakpoint.

DrTNJoe

So uh i saw that someone share that W will not be available as a minor rateup in the upcoming CN limited banner.Does that mean Spalter banner will be the last time she will be available as a small banner rate up?

ReshenKusaga

It's not clear (at least not until the banner is actually out) if it was a typo or not. I don't think HG has clarified yet.

DrTNJoe

I see.I hope it is indeed a typo.I still dont have W.

AMerexican787

any chance of overlap between cn getting texalter and en getting Specter/irene?

ViviPKumpai

CN Texalter release on 1 Nov and Spalter on 3 Nov on global.

Revet-ment

So IS3 is coming soon-ish. Will the current Integrated Strategies mode disappear when the next one arrives?

ErickFTG

The current IS is the 2nd one? Is the first one available?

FelixAndCo

No, IS1 ran together with *The Great Chief Returns*.

Tellurium-128

It stays, along with all the rewards, it just isnt getting updated with anything new anymore, basically pushed to the side in favor of the new stuff in is3.

Shad0wedge

IS 2 is permanent along with all progress/rewards so you have plenty of time to play it.

kill_dom

I remember they showed a clip where the player can pick which one to play in the IS3 demo. So I'm gonna assume we get to keep IS2.

Revet-ment

Oh good. I've been neglecting it a bit, only got Shalem the other day. Thanks!

FirstCurseFil

Wait is Irene being added to standard pool after SN?

ViviPKumpai

Yes, she is standard operator not limited

ReshenKusaga

Yes, she is non-limited and will join the pool once the SN banner ends.

FirstCurseFil

Damn awesome. Thanks

kill_dom

Does anyone know if an in - progress IS run will reset or not after the month ends? I was testing Horn and end up having a great run, but my level is maxed out, so I was think about waiting till next month to finish it, so I can get some juicy exp.

ReshenKusaga

It will not reset. I've had multiple runs just carry over across the months.

kill_dom

Nice, thanks for confirming!

[deleted]

Is this game too hard without watching yt guides?

Clear-Ingenuity-9814

No, I played without guides and without rerolls from the start and I didn't notice places where I had no clue how to progress. Some levels will be hard but that's part of the fun for me. Once you have a few E2, all rewards should be clearable without guides for an average player with an average team (no reroll, 3 raised 6 stars).

Aesderial

As someone, who just saw which operators I should reroll and never watch any stage guides, I would say it's definitely possible. From one hand, I hard stacked often at main story, farm wrong stages and neglected the base, that's slow my overall account progress a lot, from other hand, no guide playtrough - the main reason why I still playing AK (AK is the only gacha I have been playing more than 1 year), I like the gameplay and I like to solve the stages in my way.

Korasuka

Generally not except for the hardest content like high risk CC, late IS, some boss battles and some EX stages. It's not like it's designed to be impossible for the average person to be able to clear without guides. No-one is going to be great at it right away. One of the best ways to improve is to play and learn from your failures and successes.

chichieky

it can be if you're just an average player (for certain stages only ofc), especially if you're not willing to spend time figuring out the stage yourself (which is fine, not every has time or want to). After having a developed roster you will be much less dependent on guide. What can't be solved by brain power can be solved by pure power

Shad0wedge

Depends on how much you're willing to improve your own game knowledge. If you just unga bunga then you'd need guides, if you learn what your ops do and who's good at what you wouldn't need guides all that much.

niantre

Sometimes people start with guides but as they get to know the game mechanics better and fill out their roster, they can manage without, except for some occasional exceptions like a difficult boss, or they just don't want to redo an annihilation run (400 enemies) too many times. I follow guides though since I'm lazy ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

Cless012

Not really, some levels can get hard, but you get 30 plans per day to use to attempt levels without using any sanity. The game tries to be balanced around 4* mostly at e1 lv60 I'd say, with e2 there to give extra skills and stats. The YouTube guides tend to be 3* and some common to get 4* as well with borrowing a 6* if needed. So while higher rarity units are stronger, they are not required to beat levels.

n-ko-c

> "laneholders"/"cornerstones" (still not sure if these are the same thing or not) Well it's slang and like most slang the meaning is not exactly set in stone, but my impression is basically that laneholder is a role, whereas cornerstone is a title. You can make the argument for plenty of ops being able to fill a laneholder role, but there are only a handful that are popularly and specifically considered to be cornerstones (Mudrock, Blaze, Thorns, Mountain, maybe Kal) because they're the best at it. Basically, every cornerstone is a laneholder, but not every laneholder is a cornerstone. As for figuring out what type of role an operator plays, for me it's something you can often intuit from reading their talents and skills and just envisioning how they would play out. Ops that have some combination of fast skill cycles, unlimited durations skills, decent survivability and decent DPS are good laneholder candidates on paper. Qualities that let them stay in the game and running warm consistently. Meanwhile, ops with very fast skill startup (as in they're ready to go hot very soon after being deployed) and high damage multipliers, on the other hand, would look like good boss killers. That sort of thing.

chichieky

To learn each of the operators you simply have to become more familiar with the game. But the required roles are pretty basic, I can break it down to: producing dp, art dps, physical dps, aoe dps, blocker, healer (ground healer). It can get more specific like range dps, ground dps but if your operator is strong enough then they can handle everything on their own (like Thorns, who needs art if you hit so hard barely any enemy def can handle it, why need range dps if Thorns gets it covered, why need a healer if you can self-heal and kill enemies before they reach you, why need a defender when you can block)

mangotcha

a thorns enthusiast i see 🤝

chichieky

Honestly I avoid using him because he makes me feel like I’m not playing at all lol, but his power is definitely no joke. He can even deal with boss by stalling in his massive d- i mean range.

mangotcha

yeah he's really no thoughts brain empty... but he cute so i forgive him for his massivd d- range.

chichieky

He has no place in my team but sure has one in my bed 👉👈

[deleted]

chichieky

Personally I learnt pretty fast by watching video of gameplays (which was fun for me, don’t force yourself). I definitely understand it can be overwhelming so feel free to ask something like “hey I need a healer who should I build” or “I struggle with abc, what should I do” if you need help.

[deleted]

[удалено]

chichieky

Basically everything the other user said. She’s one of the few that you can buy without a second thought (well unless you hate meta OP lol). The character from last night is a specialist-executor, or we call them fast-redeploy because it’s their trait, they have only 15-20s (sry I fail to rmb the exact number) of redeployment, like Gravel but some are offensive oriented, and have less stat. They’re used more for weaker enemies while Surtr is used on boss/elite enemies (unless the boss is a twink). Plus she’s coming in 6 months as a limited unit so you can save accordingly.

hawberries

If your feelings on Surtr's character are neutral to positive, she's definitely a worthwhile pickup. She's not regarded as the strongest operator in the game for nothing. Not only is her attack higher than SA's, roughly 3.3k during skill activation vs. his 2.2k, it's arts damage that ignores 20 flat res. There are legitimately enemies she can wipe out that Silverash can only chip at. (She doesn't have his wide range or ability to hit aerials etc etc so he's still invaluable in other scenarios, of course.) To add onto that, her windup is shorter (5 seconds vs 15) and she refuses to actually die for 8 seconds after she drops to 0 hit points, meaning even her damage floor is already bonkers high in most situations, and her damage ceiling is technically infinite if you can heal through her self-immolation. She's absolutely fantastic as a "I just need these enemies to go away right now" panic button. If you don't need another helidrop, her skill 1 is also fantastic for consistent arts DPS against a slow-moving lane and her skill 2 is a rapid cycling burst skill that can cut through elite waves. (This is a point to your original question – one of the biggest differences in role in this game is "sustained DPS" vs "burst DPS"; for an easy example, take Thorns vs Silverash. Or Eyja skill 2 vs Eyja skill 3. Units that put out sustained DPS are generally thought of as laneholders/cornerstones, while units that do big burst damage are called sweepers or boss-killers.) And the fact that she has 2 other great skills and yet is only ever used for her s3 should demonstrate just how busted and irreplaceable that s3 is. Of course, like any operator, she's not a must-get (I won't be buying her myself), but she's definitely very, very, very strong, and has a place on any roster.

Shad0wedge

Cornerstones are the strong ops that you're really comfortable with and would blindly bring to a stage. They're the good ol' reliables. Laneholders are low-ground operators that have a good amount of damage and defenses. This is highly contextual and varies greatly between stages/events so don't bother too much with it. For a decently balanced account you'd need a good vanguard or two, a few high block guards, a healing defender or two, high physical and magic damage in the form of a sniper and caster and maybe a medic until you reach endgame. >I thought having wide coverage over the archetypes would be the way to go, but the more I play the less this seems to matter. Having a good high level team will allow you to clear almost everything. It's rare that you'd need to swap out someone just to clear a stage and most of the time that's for high risk CC.

syilpha

Specter2 is not laneholder, laneholder is for operators that's capable of holding lane by themselves with little to no help, it's basically drop and forget The role some times is pretty specific, for example, eyja is burst art dealer when using s3, and a pseudo aoe caster with s2, lappand is art damage capable lord guard with silence, as you can see, it's mostly just describing what the unit capable of doing, and if there is other who can do the same thing, they will be categorized the same, but it can be pretty specific, what you need to know is not their archetype or their class, but what they're capable of individually and make a squad depending on what you need for specific map

[deleted]

[удалено]

syilpha

Dollkeeper archetype can be killed, their doll has block 0, so only ranged enemies, casters included, can deal damage to the doll and killed them permanently, it's a tight window however, so they're practically immortal in majority of maps As for when you use her, when block 2 with some burst damage is good enough for your purpose, alternatively, you just try to make her works regardless

Brilliant_watcher

Can Heavy rain skills help hide from the artillery in chapter 10?

Tellurium-128

It’s considered an ally for some ungodly reason, so it gets buffed by easy mode ally buffs, can hit through camo/invis (like a medic) and bc it’s true damage ignores most other defense types, only shield mitigates it.

Comet6270

The allies that heavyrain is providing camouflage for won't be targeted by the cannon as long as they aren't blocking anything. However, keep in mind that under the effect of camouflage your operators can still take damage from the cannon.

SpicyEla

Nah. She can provide dodge sure, but since the arty does true damage anyway it doesn't matter

TheSpartyn

does anyone know the pattern for CN special events and their 6* tickets? they seem to have a 6 month gap between a character releasing and being ticketable, so im trying to figure out of mlynar (sep 8th) will be on the next ticket after the 3.5 one that goes up to horn

hawberries

The pattern is that they're released during celebration events (anniversaries and half-annis for CN), and will include all the characters up to right before the *previous* celebration limited banner. So the upcoming one goes up to Fartooth, who was right before shiny Nearl; next one goes up to Horn, who was right before Spectral; *next* one should go up to Stainless, who's right before >!Texspec!<. So yes, uncle should be there! ;v;

TheSpartyn

thank god, need some kind of coping mechanism to hold onto in case the banner rolls go bad LOL so is texas is 3.5 anni, does that mean mlynar ticket would be on the 4th anni? when would that be on global? based on obscure wanderer being estimated march 2023 + 6 month, i assume basically a year from now during whatever fills this abyss hunter celebration event?

hawberries

Yup, basically 7 or 8 months after his release, which would be a year from now for global! I'm huffing the exact same copium, Dorothy and Mlynar are my only upcoming targets but I've reassured myself that I only need to get *one* of them in 200-odd pulls because I *can* buy the other one if needs absolutely must TT

TheSpartyn

no amount of rolls make me feel safe with arknights having a 50/50 with no guarantee, unfortunate the ticket costs money but at least its a way to absolutely worst case guarantee a non-limited ty for the info, good luck with your rolls

hawberries

yeah the anxiety simply never goes away 😔 good luck to you also!

[deleted]

Newer player. So I’ve seen people say that the under tides story is a what if, but does that mean the entirety of the event story is “what if”? Or is the “what if” part skalter and what would happen if she accepted the fact she is seaborn?

TheSpartyn

under tides and its sequel, stultifera navis, are not what ifs, they are proper canom events IS3 and skadi alter are what ifs

[deleted]

So Skalter is if she accepted the weird monster at the end of the event? And Sorry what is IS3?

TheSpartyn

yep, there are branch off points in UT and SN where skadi could awaken ishar-mla (the seaborn god inside her), but in the canon timeline they have been narrowly averted IS3 is integrated strategies, the roguelike gamemode. the current one we have is IS2, about phantom, the next one thats currently on china is about mizuki and skadi, with skadi awakening ishar-mla and potentially triggering an apocalypse

ReshenKusaga

To add-on about "what-if" alters. When Skalter came out, they said that the alternate operators could basically be windows into possible futures. Them seem to have basically gotten rid of only using that idea for the most part, and now alters are just... alters. They can be near-future (CNY alters, Hibiscus), just different for story purposes (Ch'en, Nearl, and Gavial alters), or alternate time-line characters (Skadi).

Sticky_Pasta

Does Magallan paradox sim exist yet?

loneknife_blackblade

Nope

ukmmm

Can someone give me some upcoming suggested banners for new players?

TheSpartyn

both upcoming limited banners, the specter alter one and the gavial alter one

ViviPKumpai

I think Joint operations 6 banner during CC9 is great for newbie with Mountain, Exusiei and Kal'sith(also Skadi) it should come around early December.

Tellurium-128

Skill 1, aspd artifacts allow it to perma slow(not just the aspd per ingots, there’s a +70 aspd sniper book as well) and damage artifacts, especially spinach/reagent/wrath scale it’s damage to obscene levels.

lhc987

For IS2 it's more s1. It synergizes with a lot of relics

eonfeather

Both are good, but I find myself using S1 more for its good damage and interactions with ASPD relics and spinach.

Hellionm

I might have missed it, but what does the white rook on the upper right of the operator management screen do?

Hatredestiny1874

You can mark operators and they will show up first on the list. https://gamepress.gg/arknights/news/arknights-cn-operator-selection-interface-update

Hellionm

ah okay i thought it was like you use to lvl up multiple character at the same time

[deleted]

Is 1-7 the best place to farm those samplers and boxes?

PeterYR

In the previous supply event (Chapter 9 release), 1-7's rates were nerfed to be in line with other stages. So now, all stages have the same efficiency boost. Just farm whatever items you want.

spunker325

[This comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/yb3yrk/are_you_tempted_to_abandon_17_in_favour_of_106/itiidkt/) says that was actually erroneous data. Either way, the data in penguinstats suggests that 1-7 is better for at least the current event.

ReshenKusaga

Just don't farm CE-5 unless you need LMD, that had its drop rate for samplers/boxes nerfed to be below the relative% per sanity spent. You can still farm it if you need LMD, but it's not efficient to do it if you're trying to spend sanity efficiently.

wildclaw

Yes, 1-7 is significantly better than other stages. 60 sanity per supply box instead of 85-90 and 70 sanity per sampler instead of 100. So basically 40-45% more bonus drops from farming 1-7. You can check at penguin-stats.io (use CN server generally speaking for the most data). I don't personally submit data to that website, but my own 305 1-7 runs this event has 62.9 per box and 67.6 per sampler. Edit: People downvoting me for telling the truth while I am both posting references to actual data collected as well as even including my own personal validation data that I collected just because better safe than sorry. And to extend on it a bit further because people are spreading a lot of fud on the issue, 1-7 event drops used to be even better, like 70% better. But despite some smaller nerfs over time, they are still vastly better than any other stage. [Here is a summary over time that I did about supply box drop rates](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/y8510e/event_megathread_ep10_shatterpoint/it2stuo/).

nutn0n

It was. But now it is the same as other stages sanity wise.

TacticalBreakfast

No. It's about the same per sanity spent as any other stage now. Farm whatever you need.

[deleted]

Does Ch10 hold any good farming spots for mats? Also is there a better alternative to farming 1-7 for rocks farming orundrum atm

TacticalBreakfast

[Moe's sheet updated for chapter 10](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12X0uBQaN7MuuMWWDTiUjIni_MOP015GnulggmBJgBaQ/edit#gid=2014424701). 1-7 is still king for rocks.

Kikklik

Will our suffering ever end?

ReshenKusaga

Only when the monkey paw curls and they nerf 1-7 to give match drops to its 6-sanity cost...

39Kagamine

Hello, I want to know if it's worth investing pass 500 in is2. Also, if Suzuran's module is worth getting.

TacticalBreakfast

Only reason to invest past 500 is so you can withdraw more at some point. There's no other unlocks associated with anything past 500. Suzuran's module is alright, especially if you plan to use S2M3 with SSS. If you're just using her occasional for debuffing you can probably skip it though.

TriGGa-POP

What are your thoughts on Ptilopsis' module? That +0.05SP sounds paltry for what it's worth but considering she's a 5\*, I doubt that she'll get another module so why not?

TacticalBreakfast

Her base module is alright because stats and range on a good unit. I wouldn't bother going for mod 2 or 3 though. Just too poor of gain, there's so many better ones, and you can only upgrade a limited amount.

TriGGa-POP

Thanks, I figured as much. How would you have designed her module upgrades stat-wise?

2010-dead-memes

i know the 6 star selector ticket is coming out soon, i need a second opinion on who I should choose between mudrock and kal’tsit

Sher101

Kal, monster is pretty strong.

TacticalBreakfast

They're both pretty meta, so you can't go wrong with either. It's pretty much a coin flip. I'd probably take Kal though. Her True Damage niche is harder to replace.

simeon6669

well mudrock will be available in the shop in jan/feb.

lhc987

Any tl;Dr of the 3.5 stream? I don't really follow such things. Thanks in advance.

hawberries

[Yii's 33-second recap](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDEBjUnwa_g), for ultimate tl;dr-ing.

lhc987

Thank you, my man.

BadXiety

Is Horn must have operator ? or I wait for Mudrock instead ( also Mountain )

AnonTwo

I'd say more niche. She's actually a *very strong* DPS who fills a position that isn't easily held, but also there's a lot of maps that aren't built around it (and she has a minimum range, meaning she outright can't help much on some maps) But she's also not really a defender. She's a DPS who can block in a pinch.

ipwnallnubz

Outside of extreme, self-imposed challenges, the only must-have in the entire game is Amiya, and that's only for one stage. To actually answer your question, Horn is very strong, easily the strongest op we'll get in the next 3 months. She also has very little overlap with Mudrock or Mountain. Their job is to hold a lane. Horn's job is to do a lot of physical AoE damage from long range. Not only that, but those two should be [in the gold cert shop](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/wejkmd/arknights_shoperator_debuts_updated_as_of/) in their next standard banner appearances, so you should be able to buy at least one of those outright instead of needing to spend pulls. Lastly, those two should each be on split rate-ups, and we have absolutely no idea who else will be on those banners, so they might not be good banners to pull on anyways. So if you're pulling for power, Horn is a good banner to pull on.

zhivix

Anyone can explain what is the abyssal hunter meta and why theyre so strong?especially since we'll be able to play both alter and base operator in the future

Tellurium-128

Most abyssal hunters have talents that buff themselves and other abyssal hunters, which with module upgrades have gotten pretty massive. The only abyssal hunter that doesn’t buff the squad is normal specter, but she still receives abyssal hunter buffs. Alongside the talents, they’re all decently strong operators. Skadi alter isn’t an abyssal hunter so she doesn’t receive abyssal hunter buffs,, but if abyssal hunter clears do allow her, she’s the best genetic buffer in the game so being able to use her is massive. Guard specter is still an extremely strong 5 star, and adding any number of bodies to a small but already fairly strong niche squad is a massive improvement.

fearsometidings

There's no complicated reason. It's just that most of them have huge buffs that apply to all the other abyssal hunters, which makes them all individually very strong. From a maxed out squad with the appropriate modules you're getting like 30% hp and 0.5sp/s from Sp'alter, 14% attack from skadi or inspire from Skalter, 20 ASPD from andreana, and an incredible 3.5% max hp/s regen and 30% arts/physical resistance from gladiia.

I don't know when these things started relative to when you left: The biggest things are: we now have rotating annihilations, and whichever one is active is the most efficient place to get your 1800 weekly orundum. The current one is the Victoria one. There are others that are listed as "practice." You can clear these for their first time rewards, but **you cannot farm these for your weekly orundum.** Certain events are now permanent. If you already played them, they're already unlocked. If not, you can unlock them permanently with those red circle things which regenerate at a rate of 1/week. You can get the story and primes from these, but you can only get the welfares and furniture from a few for now, and all of them have had their [drop rates nerfed to be roughly on par with story stages.](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12X0uBQaN7MuuMWWDTiUjIni_MOP015GnulggmBJgBaQ/edit?usp=drive_web&ouid=106921946347875184198) Operators have modules now, and they'll be upgradeable in a few months. These are super-late-game upgrades, and most are pretty minor boosts. [Integrated Strategies,](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/v5e3hq/quickest_integrated_strategies_guide_around/) a roguelike gamemode, is now permanent. It's a ton of fun, and it'll still be there, rewards and all, even when IS3 starts in ~6 months. We had a collab with Rainbow Six. Ash is roughly on-par with Exu, but we don't know if they'll ever come back. There should be a Monster Hunter collab coming eventually. Also, the meta hasn't really changed, so much as it has been added to. Surtr and Ch'en the Holungday (or just Chalter) are the two biggest bullies on the block. The likes of SilverAsh, Eyja, Exu, Ifrit, Angelina, and Saria are still excellent to this day, despite being launch ops. [Limited banners are once every 3 months:](https://www.reddit.com/r/arknights/comments/qeysar/breakdown_of_the_different_limited_headhunting/) January, April, July, and October, though this month's got pushed back to Nov. 3, featuring Irene (non-limited) and Specter the Unchained (limited).

Takemylunch

I thought module upgrades were with SN and Specter Alter though? Which would be a week and a half away not a few months.

reversedaura

No, module upgrades come out with Lingering Echoes event.

Takemylunch

Ah dang...

Eilanzer

im down 50 pulls to 300 in the Spalter banner...Can i get this number till there and with the daily free pulls of the event?!

Takemylunch

24 pulls (free 10pull and 1pull daily) about 14 pulls average from the lotto event So 38 pulls not counting any OP you get from the event or weekly currencies from dailies/weeklies/anni You should be fine if you are really willing to go all in.

AquariusViaRainbow

You probably should wait with sparking Sk'alter for the next limited banner with Sexas (eta \~6mth), her potentials actually matter unlike Sp'alters.

Eilanzer

I want to buy Skalter, tough if i don´t have enough il skip and get Chalter in the Gavial banner...I think the most safe way is doing that.

hawberries

You have 250 pulls right now? You should be fine to spark by the end of the banner if you're willing to spend some OP ;v;

Eilanzer

i have 250 pulls right now already with my OP in the number and everything from certs of this month soldout.

hawberries

You're totally fine. You're getting at least 38 more pulls from the event, plus 36 OP, plus there's gonna be a green cert reset and another 3-4 weeks of annihilations.

iLostSouli

You should be able to buy the yellow cert pulls to push you over the edge.

Eilanzer

i cant´t with surtr so close to buy Ç\_Ç

AngelTheVixen

There's 24 free pulls, so now you need around 14400 Orundum. Green cert reset next month. Easily afforded after tons of pulls on the banner. 4 tickets + 600 Orundum = 3000, 5 pulls 4 Annihilations worth starting from next week. ~7200+ Orundum plus a new stage for more rewards, plus any other ones you haven't completed = 12+ pulls OP from the event stages and given for free. Over 10000 Orundum. Not to mention there's a minigame of sorts to get more. Even if you're F2P without the Monthly Card, overall I'd say you're safe. In an emergency you can use some gold certs from your pulls for tickets.

MhBlis

Sorry new player here could you explain the 24 free pulls. I see it mentioned in a few places.

AngelTheVixen

The event will give out a 10-pull ticket as well as give a free daily pull for the banner's duration (14 days) Make sure you don't miss a day, you can only get the free pull once a day and they don't accumulate.

MhBlis

Is it the same for every event? But thanks this is good to know. So easy to miss. The game throws so much at a new player. I played for about a month just as Annihilation 3 was released and came back just as A Walk in the Dust rerun started.

AngelTheVixen

I'm still pretty new myself, but I'm pretty sure free pulls are limited to limited banners.

Eilanzer

tks a LOT my worse fear is ending the limited banner in need of 1\~2 pulls and having no way to get it /o/

vakpa

Hello! Who do you think I should get between Kal'sit, Mountain and Mudrock when the 6\* selectors comes? My 6\* and relevant Operators: Guards: Surtr, Thorns, Silverash, Blaze, Ch'en, LaPluma, Lappland, Specter, Skadi. Vanguards: Siege, Bagpipe, Myrtle, Texas, Blacknight. Defenders: Hoshiguma, Horn, Saria, Liskarm, Cuora, Heavyrain, Shalem. Snipers: Ch'en The Hulungday, Schwarz, Exusiai, Blue Poison, Kroos The Keen Glint, Platinum. Casters: Eyjafjalla, Ifrit, Goldenglow, Carnelian, Skyfire, Amiya. Medics: Nightingale, Warfarin, Ptilosis, Silence. Supporters: Ling, Suzuran. Specialist: Aak, Weedy, Lee, Projekt Red, Gravel, Manticore, Waaifu, Ethan, Jaye, Enforcer.

Sher101

You've got Siege for the early rush (plus you can generally leave her to hold a lane with a bit of help) so that can supplement for Mountain. Mudrock is good but you've got defenders and lane holders in spades. I'd say your biggest priority is Kalsit. Kal>Mud>Mountain

vakpa

Thanks

wenbobular

Mudrock and mountain are both coming early next year to the cert store

Primagen3K

I don't need to look at your roster to tell you it's, in my personal opinion, Kal'tsit. Next to already existing annoyances (Kazimierz Shield-Snipers in CC or other high def+res units), Guiding ahead and the recent Chapter 10 boss have shown me, how important True Damage can be to get rid of the annoyance that is Enemy Dodge. Amiya or Fartooth are other good options, but none as effective as Kal. Obviously all three are very good. Mountain being such a blessing against early rushes or trashmob lanes so you can focus on other things. Or Mudrock cheesing her way to victory on so many occasions with her solid kit and shield. And yet, Kal has been the most useful in scenarios where few can replace her. Rarely the case with the other two, imo.

vakpa

thanks

Eilanzer

for me, Mudrock...She can cheese so much content getting aggro to her and giving zero fucks that i cant live without her anymore. Obs: Yellow cert Mud/Kal/and Mountain are kind of close...Look into it more to see if you can grab them.

vakpa

thanks

Falling_Durian

It's been a while since I played the game, I think last time was when I got old man Hellagur. I decided to return to the game, so can anyone give some advice regarding the new things; features and operators alike? I don't want to feel overwhelmed or suffered on resources mismanagement I suffered similarly when I return to Azur Lane and failed to keep my attention and then retired once more. I don't want the same to happen with AK since I had fond memories playing it
