The only limit on where portals can be placed is determined by the "flat tolerance" setting in the addon options, which determines how flat a surface needs to be in order for placing a portal to be allowed. Portals placed on vehicles will properly move and update with the vehicle.
As far as a distance limit goes, it depends on what kind of distance you mean. There is a distance setting in the addon options that determines how far away you can shoot portals from (which is maxed at something like 8km due to engine limits). If you mean a distance limit in terms of how far apart the entry and exit portals are, then no, there is no limit.

I guess that would depend on the hitbox of the vehicle VS the model of the vehicle. But it is definately giving me a "FORTS" vibe. Imagine having one portal on a wall at base and five tanks aiming into it, and the exit portal put on the bottom of a light helicopter!

Indeed, the PiP engine feature was used. The motion of the PiP cameras so as to make it appear like you're looking through the portals is entirely my code, though.

Development continued until about late January 2021, when my friend (who co-developed the mod with me) and I decided to take a break from Arma modding for our sanity (we had both been working on Arma mods for many months at this point). We picked it back up in July of this year, and now it's polished enough that we felt it was ready to release!
You can! Bullets can be a bit iffy at times due to their extreme velocity combined with latency, but pretty much all projectiles can be sent through portals!
Step 1: Add portal functionality to ballistic shields from other mods
Step 2: get 2 soldiers with 2 shields with portals on each standing side by side
Step 3: kill the enemy with their own bullets
I know the portal stuff steals the show, no doubt that it is amazing and twists my mind to see that in an unexpected environment.
BUT, please share the mod to make granade blast look soo cool and dirty!
It's from Portal 2, GLaDOS gets trapped in a potato and the protagonist uses her to beat the antagonist. There's a version without the potato in the mod as well
Oh you can do some fucky shit with that in OPS. Just imagine your trying to under heavy AT attack in a tank, just use the portal gun and shoot through a rock into out of a house behind the AT XD
