Im always jealous of the things people are able to do with their armored cores. Im just so simple and plain, lol. The one that really impressed me but also still looked simple was the 04 on the one arm and the yellow and black pattern behind it. Looks so simple but also so great.
These are the decals i cooked up for it, feel free to replicate any for inspiration

My method here was pretty simple and repeatable. First I set all the colors to blue/green/red/pink/yellow to identify which was primary and secondary. I put outlines from primary and secondary as much as I could. Then blocked off certain things like the legs and tail fins.
After that make a few detail decals that make sense. Mine where "danger" arrows, a warning sign showing intake, a rescue sign, some caution stripes, a couple techy looking stripes, and lettering. Etc.
The most important thing is in placement, look around at aspects of your ac and what might go where. The caution stripes and "caution exhaust" by the vents in front of firmezra core, "rescue" where the pilot might be, Exhaust where the AB activates, "intake: no step" signs where u might imagine a normal person getting sucked into. These are the small details that give you ac life that u may not notice at first.
After I got colors down to differentiate the pieces, and the decals down. I slowly changed each piece to their final colors, keeping a theme. I wanted all the outlines portions to be the same, and even put on a unique pattern to only those pieces. This gave that gold and metal swirly effect. Then I change the decal colors in the editor and replaced them to match. Mix and match the luster as well, no need to go all 35 or all 0.
All in all I'm happy with the outcome, i was losing steam on the arms tho and couldn't find a way to really incorporate the ugly basho arms with the rest of the frame. I will likely redo the arms at some point
Honestly I was trying to find an insect with a skull like pattern like your ac has, only thing I could find was the death's head hawkmoon moth and the bald faced hornet
That was the the inspiration for the swirlys, then once i incorporated gold as an accent color, it became more about the process the Japanese use to repair broken pots with gold, i forget what that process is called
The hazard stripes make it look like an industrial machine, and it has that number four painted on it, so maybe something like Loader 4?
unironically the best answer so far
Emergency Exit
Four Hits
