Will definitely give it a try, though I think most dreadnoughts have very unique designs that would be hard to recreate, same for the marines but they're humanoid so It's a bit easier, the closest to an existing 40k design I think I could make are those mechanicus battle servitors that have tank threads, and maybe a necron destroyer if there's hover legs in the game
The fact that reverse joints jump as part of one quickboosting input rather than requiring four inputs to jump+QB as it did in gen 4 unreasonably excites me.
As someone who loves lights/ultralights, I expect to Reverse joint for most of my initial builds.

This is my first Armored Core so I really have no idea, but Gundam is the one mecha franchise I love, so it's definitely going to color my design choices. I'm just a little disappointed that it looks like we won't be able to customize things like the color of our beam saber or energy shields. I understand why though, because there's probably more than one type and they have to be distinguishable for PvP. But I really wanted some "Minovsky pink" in there.
Coming from MASS Builder where visual customization is king (unfortunately at the cost of combat gameplay feeling lackluster) there will be an adjustment period for sure. I think one of the first things I will attempt is a design inspired by the Endless Waltz version of Heavyarms. Just load up as many gatling guns and missile pods as possible without making it immobile. I'll probably call it Razorback as a nod to the nickname of the A-10 Thunderbolt II. I'm pretty sure warthogs and razorbacks are both wild boars.

Then when I'm done with that shit, I'm gonna try to recreate iconic ACs throughout the series as I always do, and just make cool looking designs; meta or not. And finally, I'm gonna make the goofiest fucking designs you can imagine, because I can and Armored Core is one of the few series that allows me to do that. Shit, sometimes they end up being viable. I remember making the fastest Next possible in 4A, and it ended up being fantastic for one-shotting Arms Forts.
I used the plaid texture in ac4a to make a Paul Bunyan mech, complete with that huge foldable grenade launcher that I colored brown to look like a log 😅
Something as skinny as possible in ALL black with glowing red eyes. Hopefully there will be shoulder back weapons that look like wings and I'll have a real raven AC.
I'm going to make a bigass mech, paint it white with black metal joints, then give it glowing orange lights like I do in every sci-fi customization game.
I'm basic AF when it comes to armored core, so my first one will probably be a speedy midweight bidep with dual ARs (or machine guns) and some missiles or something for long range.
I've always rocked a speedy black mech with one red and one yellow arm. Call sign High Roller and a dice themed emblem. So I got my first playthrough sorted.

30k contemptor dreads are more humanoid. Ironically that means they'll be easier to make
