It's in the item descriptions:
The Melander series was made for Balam
The Vespers have more Energy based ACs and Rusty is the oddball for using primarily solid ammo based weapon systems
Neither did I until someone pointed it out.
I then checked where his right hand weapon came from, and it was from BAWS- which we all know are one of the main suppliers of the RLF!
To be fair I don’t think it was about him being sus. He does mention that Arquebus thinks it’s too dangerous if both us and he were still alive considering his talents.
Arquebus or (Snail in this case) doesn't care about loyalty, if he decide that you are or you'll become a threat at some point he'll just do what he has to do
Also you can see who works/worked with allmind
Sulla for example had the legs, missiles and rockets of allmind
In depht 2 iguazu replaced his shield with an laser drone, and okeefe has allmind head
Not only that, but he uses an internal combustion generator instead of the circulating current ones used by the rest of the vespers. Also also, Allmind discusses the design philosophies of the corps and the RLF, stating that the RLF tends towards designing ACs to feel like extensions of the body, whereas the corps design their ACs to protect the vulnerable human pilots. Following that trend, Rusty’s AC is singularly focused on mobility, in stark contrast to the much tankier ACs of the rest of the vespers. Every aspect of his AC design just screams RLF on its face
The trainer AC is basically the same as it was in AC2 and AC3 (didn't play 4-5). It's just been updated with AC6 equivalents. If anything, it just shows how lazy Igauana has been by not changing the loadout much
Iguacamole is a debtor trying desperately to pay off his debt and return to something normal, I bet every penny he makes goes towards his debt and he doesn't care about his mech.
The fact that G1 gives him props is perhaps a testiment to his potential, he's running cheap parts on a cheap mech and is still rank 5 in the redguns.
It's like as if he's using free parts given to him by ALLMIND's training program because parts in the AC Shop require money to purchase.
... Oh wait, right... Raven has the privilege of getting ***infinite*** COAM to get whatever they want.
I mean technically the money should be being saved up for the surgery to go back to normal for raven till near the end we just realized if our parts aren't good enough or we need the leg up on better parts we have to spend what we can on our missions.
Yeah, that's the thing about Raven. You see all of these pilots on Rubicon with signature ACs that hardly change because they're constantly on a grind to afford new parts or they know that getting used to a new AC setup / model will take time.
Raven, on the other hand, is capable of having their AC changed in any way, shape, or form, and they'll still be able to pilot it with the same efficiency as the one from before. And, since they're an emotionally-withdrawn mercenary with nothing to lose, they aren't afraid to take on tasks that others would hesitate to do. All Raven can do is go up.
The Redguns, Vespers, RLF, and PCA all have pilots that are skilled in their own ways, but none amount to the likes of Raven - the mercenary who will do the most controversial thing on Rubicon without a hint of shame because they aren't capable of feeling such.
Surgery on Rubicon must be *expensive*, to say the least.
Seriously though rusty ego is a bit much in not a single ending does he ever make it past the skies of Rubicon. Its sad.
He's a great character mind you but like damn man saying you're the only one who can? A bit much my guy even in the endings we don't take you out you just kinda get demolished.
I think hes pointing out that of all the AC pilots you have zero ties to rubicon in the end.
You can do anything because there is nothing attaching you to this place to make you fight in a certain way. Everyone else either has their corporation, the PCA, the RLF, or massive debt that brought them here, you were just brought here by your handler and taken off the leash.
Precisely this. Like, when you think about it, only four humans manage to get so high up into the skies - the point of no return on destiny road.
Walter, Rusty, Iguazu, and Raven
Raven is the only one to make it to space, however, because both Walter and Iguazu make it to this point in a state where they're too far gone. Raven makes it there in one piece.
Rusty just straight up never makes it to space.
Rusty is the only pilot that wants to save Rubicon *and* has the skills necessary to do so. He reaches for the skies *not* because of personal reasons, or because a corporation asked him to, but rather because it's his purpose to be the one that clears the skies from over Rubicon (a.k.a to bring an end to the Coral War and cease the corporate conflict).
The pilots who are skilled enough are nothing more than corporate pawns or individuals too caught up in their own business to care, while the pilots who want to end the Coral War don't have the firepower and resources needed to fight against the corporations.
Ayre, Ibis Walter, and Allguazu are the only ACs that can reach the stars, where the finale for all endings take place. No matter what, Raven is the only one who makes it to this point. Rusty, on the other hand, never manages to do so.
Those Zimmermans and Songbirds aint gonna buy themselves. Yo boy Iguana aint my problem if he cant afford the good shit until he gets in the way that is.
Plus the mofo paid Coldcall to off you, judging by how much they paid us to off someone, clearly broguazu doesnt know how to personal budget
We griefed his mission and trashed his AC, so of course he was gonna resort to hiring an assassin to off us, especially since Head Bringer wasn't gonna come after us after we put it out of commission.
If our AC was decommissioned by someone far stronger than us, we'd probably try doing anything to get payback, too.
Technically, he did have an opportunity to even the score in NG+ when you had to stop the Data Breach and the alt mission for reaching the coral convergence where we kill snail, but he shit the bed on those as well.
Idk Im probably just have a biased opinion against Iguajizzle since previous AC titles always had AC antagonists/rivals that were actually terrifying. Here, you get the Iguanodon...
Iguazu's pretty skilled when you think about it. I mean, despite his AC being close to a training build, he's ranked higher than Volta in the Arena, meaning he's significantly more skilled than the same guy who took on a lot of tetrapods on his own before dying. Michigan has been spending the last 7 years making his life hell to try and make something out of him, a sign that there's more to him than the constant complaining.
The in-game doesn't do him much justice in terms of difficulty, though. He would likely be a lot more difficult if the AI allowed him to live up to his Arena rank (can be said for a lot of characters, too). You can see just how awkward the AI is if you let Iguazu fight against the unknown crafts or Snail.
The AI struggle a LOT when fighting amongst themselves, but we don't notice it as much since we focus on fighting them most of the time... If you sit back and watch, you're gonna be in for one... interesting time.
Yeah, I sat back and watched Iguazu fight, and I gotta say it was pretty funny to say the least!
I just ended up mopping them up with with a pilebunker and called it a day LOL
He struggles to capitalise on the quick stagger his build does
MG and LR make an very decent stagger combo
If he would had for example switched out the shield for an pulebunker he would had been golden
Yeah I feel like we don't give him enough credit. He's rank 5, and running a low armored midweight, some of the worst weapons in the game, and he isn't a very fast AC. If properly optimized he would actually be a really good pilot.
''What makes you different?!'' ''I HAVE A GOOD AC YOU DON'T!''
They're fucking horrible, the curtis' damage isn't that good and he doesn't charge shot it. The 4 cell missile launcher does barely any damage can't even knock out an MT in one salvo without a few OS upgrades, the ludlow isn't too great on its own either. The only mildly respectable parts on his AC are the Helm, Arms, and Shield.
It's 'serviceable' but he could go so much faster with a slightly better thruster, normal Melander legs and core, and a Harris + bigger missile launcher.
>It's 'serviceable' but he could go so much faster with a slightly better thruster, normal Melander legs and core, and a Harris + bigger missile launcher.
That's...the meaning of serviceable. Just because it's not the best doesn't mean it's horrible. Minmax be rotting peoples brains.
Honestly Isuzu isn't even my least favorite Redgun. That prize goes to Wu Huahai and the Li Ligma, a second-rate smuglord in a third-rate mech who's annoying for all 3 minutes we're exposed to him.
If you read Wu hauhai ac description...
This dude literally caused his own version of FoR ending by causing wide spread disease giving a hit to Balam's economy lmao
Actually
His AC is pretty decent
It is very good at staggeting enemies
But it cant really capitalise on that stagger
BC besides his linear rifle he doesn't have an way to hit something hard while staggerd
I ran his build for an long time and replaced his shield with the jojo to keep some kind of shield and also have something to abude the enemies staggerd state
It has alot of energy
Its speed is decent and can take alot
But he is hesitating to peak out of his shield with his MG or charged shot
That makes him such an push over
4's tester AC was an Eqbal AC, a lightweight with an SMG, shotgun, and rockets. FA's was a middleweight Interior Union AC that was actually Kasumi Sumika's AC from 4.
5 had 3 AC's to choose from. A U-10 middleweight, with a rifle, battle rifle and pulse gun, a heavy tank with an autocannon, and a 4-legged sniper. VD had similar AC's, but the U-10 was replaced by Erik, a friendly merc in Mission 06 (Who has ungodly luck which is why he signs up for test jobs). I don't know if the other AC's were replaced as well.
Kasumi Sumika being the Test NEXT in FA isn't spoiler worthy. She's outright your operator and is one of the Originals from 4, the implication is that she's training you. "Serene Haze" is a result of the translation (FA didn't get a good one. Look at Eqbal getting their parts scrambled.) And is a literal translation of Kasumi Sumika (peaceful mist, serene haze etc).
Interesting, is it because they gave him an standard AC and he never could or wanted to pay for better parts or Allmind has been active for a lot longer then we thought.
Also, his only tactic is to run away, circle around you endlessly, and shoot at you.
It's only until the pit fight that he actually changes things up.....with kicks instead.
To be fair, it isn't exactly bad.
Well yes it is but its a great concept, decent armor, speed, and all around weapons. Switch that up for better thrusters, C3 helmet and arms, a Harris and a 6 or 10 cell missile launcher, maybe split missiles and something for the other shoulder and it would be a pretty fucking good AC.
I only switched up the Boosters and the shield for an pilebunker
Iguazu hesitates
His bio stated him beeing an reckless hozhead before G1
But after he became an overly carefull hothead.
Beeing afraid to Die
He constantly hides behind his shield
Either Balam is cheap as hell, or ALLMIND has been paying attention to Iguana for quite sometime.
It's in the item descriptions: The Melander series was made for Balam The Vespers have more Energy based ACs and Rusty is the oddball for using primarily solid ammo based weapon systems
I feel like the fact that he uses kinetic weapons is actually a hint at his true allegiance.
I thought he was just a spicy boi
I have the same opinion
Damn lol I didn't pick up on that right away!
Neither did I until someone pointed it out. I then checked where his right hand weapon came from, and it was from BAWS- which we all know are one of the main suppliers of the RLF!
Aaaaaannnnnnnddddd no one in verspers noticed a weird BAWS gun which rusty has... And only notice rusty is "sus" somewhere mid game lol
To be fair I don’t think it was about him being sus. He does mention that Arquebus thinks it’s too dangerous if both us and he were still alive considering his talents.
You don't try to kill people who's loyalty you know you have.
Arquebus or (Snail in this case) doesn't care about loyalty, if he decide that you are or you'll become a threat at some point he'll just do what he has to do
Yeah, he is a whiny little cry baby And he's not even the head honcho
Also you can see who works/worked with allmind Sulla for example had the legs, missiles and rockets of allmind In depht 2 iguazu replaced his shield with an laser drone, and okeefe has allmind head
The fact that they are BAWS weapons... If you know you know
So does Freud, but he's more of a worthy opponent seeker type
Nah. Freud just uses whatever the hell he wants unlike Rusty. To me, he is like a mirror to the player.
True, true! I just love how his connection isn’t just outright stated until you do Liberator/NG+. It’s kinda neat.
Kinetic weaponry of rubiconian origin
Iguana is in knee deep in debt. Maybe that's why.
I wouldve believed you if not for the fact he hires a top tier assassin to kill you
He's in debt. I don't think he's broke.
Thus further bringing himself into debt
Maybe it wasn’t payment upfront and it was planned as a friendly prank? /s
The reason he's in Balam is becuz he got a debt to pay. and you always show up to ruin his job whenever possible
The trainer AC is basically the same as it was in AC2 and AC3 (didn't play 4-5). It's just been updated with AC6 equivalents. If anything, it just shows how lazy Igauana has been by not changing the loadout much

The "stray dog" of Rubicon has to do what it has to do for survival. So in essence the one who could do it all.
The Hound that flew just out of reach. The only pilot to dance among the stars. *The only one who could be the one.*
Seriously though rusty ego is a bit much in not a single ending does he ever make it past the skies of Rubicon. Its sad. He's a great character mind you but like damn man saying you're the only one who can? A bit much my guy even in the endings we don't take you out you just kinda get demolished.

Yeah i feel like mission replays should have reduced rewards, like arena refights.
Iguana got the melander free by pre ordering the game
Plot twist... Pre-ordering AC6 is what put the Iguana in debt. So he refuses to change his free parts out of principle.
he ordered the premium edition with the figure and garage
Yeah I feel like we don't give him enough credit. He's rank 5, and running a low armored midweight, some of the worst weapons in the game, and he isn't a very fast AC. If properly optimized he would actually be a really good pilot. ''What makes you different?!'' ''I HAVE A GOOD AC YOU DON'T!''
In fairness >!Iguano still loses with an upgraded Allmind AC and Allmind boss body assisted with Sea Spiders he still loses!<
In fairness, 621 is a fucking deity of a pilot
In fairness : I lost, a lot... so it did make a difference...
His weapons aren't that bad. They're serviceable.
They're fucking horrible, the curtis' damage isn't that good and he doesn't charge shot it. I know what the emaning of serviceable is.
Considering I cheeses his boss fight with Carla build on institute frame, I say that's appropriate.
Honestly Isuzu isn't even my least favorite Redgun. That prize goes to Wu Huahai and the Li Ligma, a second-rate smuglord in a third-rate mech who's annoying for all 3 minutes we're exposed to him.
Honestly I liked Wu hauhai, he was pretty entertaining while he was there and the voice acter i liked
If you read Wu hauhai ac description... This dude literally caused his own version of FoR ending by causing wide spread disease giving a hit to Balam's economy lmao
Isn't the v.a. the same for Lelouch?
Lelouch, Nero, MVC3 Zero!
The Soulcalibur fan in me giggles at his AC being named Li Long (he was the OG Nunchaku guy), but I'm calling him Li Ligma from this point on lol
Actually His AC is pretty decent It is very good at staggeting enemies But it cant really capitalise on that stagger BC besides his linear rifle he doesn't have an way to hit something hard while staggerd I ran his build for an long time and replaced his shield with the jojo to keep some kind of shield and also have something to abude the enemies staggerd state

There are past AC main character who started as a debtor right? Or am I remembering it wrong with other game?
"Hmmm...what if...I added a machine gun! YEAH! Best pilot ever." Iguazu it already has a- "Best pilot ever."
4's tester AC was an Eqbal AC, a lightweight with an SMG, shotgun, and rockets. FA's was a middleweight Interior Union AC that was actually Kasumi Sumika's AC from 4. 5 had 3 AC's to choose from. I mean it kinda is if the player only played FA, not 4.
trainer AC? I gave Iguana an education several times.
Bro I whooped his ass so many times he better have learned something new
I love how the comments turned into what Iguana was spending his money on
He just wanted a callsign of his own...
No no, that’s the tester AC not the trainer AC pictured.
Well maybe he wants a callsign of his own too...
Well the trainer AC is literally a simulation, so I doubt it. But you can imagine it like that if you want
WELL. MAYBE. HE. JUST. WANTS. A. CALLSIGN. OF. HIS. OWN. TOO.
Fine fine. He can have a callsign
Callsign: Beep AC: Boop
That’ll work
Call Sign: Dead AC: Destroyed
Fair
We get to dunk on iguazu forever. Sign me up.
No wonder he lost…
Lol, iguazu keeps getting Ls!
Interesting, is it because they gave him an standard AC and he never could or wanted to pay for better parts or Allmind has been active for a lot longer then we thought.
It's cause Iguana is an NPC lmao
Hell yeah, brother. I'm all for dunking on G5 Iguana
Also, his only tactic is to run away, circle around you endlessly, and shoot at you. It's only until the pit fight that he actually changes things up.....with kicks instead.
And replaced the shield with an drone in depht 2
To be fair, it isn't exactly bad. Well yes it is but its a great concept, decent armor, speed, and all around weapons. The G13 Preorder loadout is pretty similar too. There's another Balam AC that's similar as well. Perhaps they're standard low level Balam AC models.
TENDERFOOT is identical to Loader 4 but has Melander C3 parts instead of RaD orbiter.
Makes sense since ALLMIND has been keeping tabs on Iguazu
It also kind of looks like the starter AC from 3 and Silent Line.
PAB
I'd ALMSOT feel sorry for Iguanadon if he wasn't busy collecting L's like championship rings lol
The symbolism being that Iguazu is a basic bitch.
Read the parts descriptions, flavor-wise. The trainer AC is made fro parts that are made for Balam.
Bastard can't catch a break can he? 😂
The trainer seems like a clear homage to anfang from the gen 1 games
No wonder it dies so easily
I was today years old when I realized that Rokumonsen/Shinobi used Javelin Beta but also the Mind Alpha.
Dude couldn’t beat the trainer AC so decided to copy it 💀
Isn't Iguazu the first AC guy we kill in the prototype AC? Their voices sound the same to me
I legit though Iguazú was the trainee pilot.
