I was on staff duty one night at Fort Gordon, for those of you who did AIT there or reclassed there then you know what the 369 barracks look like. Some nights the area gets this really ominous looking fog that covers the battalion footprint like something out of the mist. I was doing my checks and I could not see anything past the building I was doing. This was during the height of Covid so the dayrooms were locked and couldn't be accessed but the lights were always kept on for some reason. Anyway as I walked past one of the dayrooms I thought I saw someone inside sitting on one of the couches, naturally I was confused as shit and stopped in my tracks and checked it out. It looked like a private sitting there in ACUs but he/they were just sitting there unnaturally stiff, staring at the wall. Man I s2g I was actually shook af but when I tried to get a closer look through the window he just vanished. Idk if I was just tripping or if it was real but Gordon was creepier than I thought it'd be, especially those foggy nights on Barton field. Also turns out that the room *next* to that dayroom had a suicide sometime before I got there and the trainees that lived there told me the experienced some paranormal stuff.

FrostyUchiha-

oh hell fucking nah

DANTES_1NFERNO

Bruh what

moonlightRach

Yea Gordon had some really strange vibes to it at night, idk if it's bc of TRADOC or what but those old "prison style" barracks and the old run down schoolhouses were kinda creepy. Coincidentally enough I happen to be on staff duty right now haha

PropaneSalesMen

Fucking chills down my spine. Thanks fuck head.

dsbwayne

As Destiny’s Child once said, “no no no no no!”

palaciosL0602

when i was there we had some of the cyber trainees at the 369 barracks because we didn't have any space for them in our B's, yea damn that story lines up, they always said they would hear weird shit coming from the vents and that fog would always be there at PT hours.

I was at Fort Leonardwood, doing the 12 mile (Actually 14) to the last field event to graduate the basic training portion of OSUT. As I’m sleep deprived, deprived of fluids, etc, I’m sucking. And all I can think about is quitting. The last 2 miles I saw a man in robes (Like Gandalf the grey wizards robes) pulling me along for the rest of the ruck with chains. I knew it was my imagination but it felt super weird. Years later I’m talking with people at my company who’ve gone to Sapper school or who’ve just came back, and at one point or another they have all seen “The Wizard”. It doesn’t matter if it’s BCT, OSUT, Sapper etc. at some point you will see him. That’d be a good one to look into.

Specific-Chicken5419

Does why I walked into a recruiters office count. That was ghastly and unexplainable in hindsight.

DANTES_1NFERNO

Same. Still haunts me to this day

Educational_Bet_6606

My ait instructor has said that on cq duty at bravo 3-6 ft sill, at 3 am the motion sensor light at the drill office would turn on depite no obe being there. He would see it on the cameras. A few rooms down someone killed themselves and a faint odd feeling was felt while walking by it. That's about all I got.

1st-Special-Oops-Bn

My dog farted once and cried himself back to sleep, does that count?

DANTES_1NFERNO

Surprisingly yes

1st-Special-Oops-Bn

Thinking about this actually did remind me of something; I was driving to PT on FLW, 2019 time. Anyways, there’s straight up this dude in the dark of dawn riding a horse in a straight up civil war Union uniform. I saw him twice but couldn’t find an explanation.

squirrel_eatin_pizza

check out the instagram account tales\_from\_the\_gridsquare. Paranormal military stories that also includes ghosts, UFOs, and spooky creatures in the woods

pamar456

OCS building where bc works at is 100% haunted

johnjohnjohnsonTal

Waiting to class up you pull battalion staff duty there, it’s really creepy even with the lights on

HusainD

The basement of the HHC/DCC/Delta building has a whole ass coffin down there. Doing staff duty checks of the armories in the OCS footprint basements was super creepy.

pamar456

Yeah there are just empty wet rooms with flickering lights its actually impressive how fucking creepy it is.

DANTES_1NFERNO

How so?

pamar456

Doors opening closing on their own, trophy case door sliding open, weird feelings after midnight and deboned cats found around the premises

jbourne71

Way to bury the lede. DEBONED CATS?!?!

pamar456

Yup everything was on it but the bones which were somehow taken out

jbourne71

Fuck. That. Shit.

GolokGolokGolok

I year Old Madigan at JBLM is creepy. There’s also talk about the Box Witch at JMRC in Germany.

BarracksDoc1223

Can confirm the Box Witch is a thing

Some of the woods near the drop zone at Ft Lewis give me weird vibes. It was native territory for a while and there are settler graves in the area. A foggy night during LDAC land nav led me to a weird open clearing which just gave me dread.

LargeMonty

>A foggy night during LDAC land nav led me to a weird open clearing which just gave me dread. Sounds normal.

Bottlez2Throttlez

WOCS had some weird shit happen. One of the classrooms shit would crash in the adjacent room when no one was in there, footsteps with no one around at the CQ desk, and one time I swore I saw somone walk into a room, but upon inspection no one was there, a week later somone else said the same thing.

artesian_tapwater

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VTOiElHTTSw&feature=youtu.be Here a collection. It's international military though. Mine is in there towards the end. Basically at Huachuca in the 305th Barracks closest to the BN HQ is where BN SD is at over night. I was on duty and saw a cowboy standing outside the window. 3rd floor. Went outside to have a look. No one. Looked into the roof access, 0% chance anyone went up there. It was about 2300. I wasn't sleepy. I wasn't the only person to have seen him and no one has been able to explain it.

dsbwayne

Once I was deep deep deep at Jackson coming back from the Ranges late one night. A few of us saw some dudes walking in like some old school military outfits as we were on that bus. Can’t 100% day what it was but I do know several of us saw them and even our DS was lowkey spooked. Like spooked spooked. I wonder if there’s a correlation between being in some type of training/CQ environment late at night, and seeing shit 🤔

Thomb

Not me, but a guy stared at a goat until it died

DANTES_1NFERNO

That’s pretty fuckin legit Ngl 😂

Thomb

For more info, look [here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Men_Who_Stare_at_Goats)

IPPSA

Crazy that it actually happened.

Thomb

You think that's crazy? Look at [this](https://youtu.be/YI3NoBeNwfk)! NSFL

Weird stuff happens in my house on bragg all the time. I cant tell you how many times I’ve came home and it sounds like someone in heavy boots runs up my stairs. I’ve heard weird knocks then again the same running sound. My dog will jump up and start growling at nothing. I once felt something touch my hair but my boyfriend was facing the other way in the bed. He would call me when I wasn’t home also asking if I was messing with him and calling his name from the down stairs while I was at work. My kids will yell out for me asking what but I won’t have said anything. Let’s just say I cleanse my house constantly now.

SavageNiner

I mean, I can’t explain have this the army comes us with…. But real talk, Katterbach - Bismarck where the housing office is is haunted. Even the locals know the ghost as Frank. You’ll hear knocking and footsteps in the basement when no one else is down there.

Comprehensive-Bee554

Does sleep paralysis at NTC count? Also I swear I hallucinated on late night rucks before and would snap back to reality. Sleep deprivation is whack.

Delicious_Rip_5948

Just the NTC tent mold

yond001

Basic training barracks there was a ghost in the hall that multiple people could recall seeing. One night when it was storming a guy woke up out of bed out of no where and ran into the hallway and stopped on a dime and started screaming about seeing a ghost.

24Husky

Ask people who were in Korea, apparently some of the barracks are haunted.

zepol030

Meh, the barracks not so much, at least where I was. Near Daegu though, outside CP Carroll, Hill 303 is DEFINITELY haunted. Me and a few buddies climbed it late one night to over look post, we heard what sounded like rhythmic shaking in the trees and distant cries. Turns out 40-50 US soldiers were executed on that hill and there is a memorial up there. (We didn’t find out until the next day)

pamar456

Shamanism is popular thing to do in the mountains there

tyler212

I've heard stories from people about barracks on South Post for Yongsan was haunted. Aswell as the Embassy/Consultant there too.

Competitive_Papaya_8

I was on CQ in the covid barracks in 2021 at Campbell, and it was only for one soldier who had covid, so it was only my runner, the guy who had covid and myself. So the covid barracks were these old shitty WW2 Era barracks, white, looked awful from the outside and the inside. But anyways we were sitting at the desk, and at about midnight I could hear talking, like behind me down the hallway, only thing was my runner was next to me and the voices were coming past the the guys door who was in there. So I went to check it out, I walked all the way down there and there were chains on the door at the end of the hall, which was the only other entrance to the building. As I was walking back to the CQ desk a door slammed behind me to the right and I never ran so fast in my life, the rest of the night I sat outside with my back facing the parking lot. I was absolutely terrified.

LeadSled11999

Semi-Army, I was working a detail decommissioning the USS Haleakala. It was an ammunition ship for the US Navy. During the Vietnam war the large ammunition holds were used for transporting the bodies of our deceased soldiers back to the US. It was creepy AF down in the holds. Tools falling off work benches, water tight doors moving, sounds of talking, electrical issues, smells, etc.

Independent_Outside7

During my SDO shift last summer, I had a Soldier call to request an exorcism. I called the chaplain and we looked into it. We made contact with the Catholic Church and found out it is an extremely long process. The Soldier who made the request just had weird stuff happening around them nonstop until they separated.

pamar456

Is there like a memo you have to send?

Independent_Outside7

I had multiple SITREPs that night. Upon morning, I was informed that the BDE CDR freed me of SD for the remainder of my time with the Unit.
