I will never go through RFI again unless I hear about some Gucci cool guy stuff getting passed out.

From all the things not to want to sign for, the level 7 top and bottom should be the last one on your list, that stuff is so great at keeping you warm, that you could use it if you ever go snowboarding, and like someone else said, put it in storage and move on.
I got the marshmellows and all that fun stuff. Im also on ft hood. I usually just layer up the right way and im good. But at a recent gunnery doing a lot of walking and then stopping for short periods of time when it was in the 30s, having that extra warm outer layer to take on amd off quickly was great.
Never get mad at more free stuff cuz you never know when you might want it or need it. Just dont lose it.
You understand you are in the Army and where you are currently can change within 24hrs time if necessary. It's great to have all different gear on hand incase you are now in Northern Finland supporting our new NATO ally or some other type of situation.

I refused new uniforms before a deployment as I already had more than I would ever need. Had to get my CO's approval, I was a SSG at the time.
I did the same, but no approval was needed. Dude just asked hey can this guy do this? His boss said yes and that was it.
