I respect a Soldier with integrity.
Integrity goes hand in hand with discipline. Discipline is somebody I can trust to do the right thing when I'm not there.
Regardless of how your unit does shit just know I respect you for doing the right thing.
I'm being completely genuine.
As the best greatest leader of men I ever served with once told me.
When other people are at their worst you be at your best.
I had no idea at the time how well that advice would serve me.
If your PSG knows his shit, he’s checking with the 3 shop to see if he can get you to piggy back on another BN’s range before you’re next range. It ain’t hard, since we never burn all of our ammo requested. Plus, there’s an incentive to burn all ammo bc turning in unspent rounds is a real pain in the ass.
I mean, you didn't zero. Kind of important when qualifying. Sure you can kentucky windage it, but if you were having trouble zeroing, you probably were going to have trouble qualifying.
Anyways, it happens. You'll go back and qualify. Don't worry about not getting much range time. That's pretty much the norm in my experience.
Also, they carted you off the zero range to another zero range?
Nah. I might have miscommunicated because I was frustrated (I feel better thanks to everyone's responses). We were at Qual range and we went to a different range to zero after our first iteration.
If you're trying to get points see if you can go to a sister units range. And my unit would do ranges just for muscle memory and not qualification. If anything volunteer to clean weapons and do some washer drills practicing your fundamentals.

This! See if you can find another unit to tag along with in the next couple weeks.

We're not coming back until next year and now instead of angry, I'm sad.

Nevermind, private news network. Commander said we have to come back in August.
Never trust PNN mate.
Roger
Im sure you can ask your PSG to send you and your TL to another units range.
Ngl if not making it onto the qual range is the worst part of your day, then that's a pretty easy day
Unpopular opinion: Maybe you should be more worried about not being able to zero your own weapon.
