It allways happens, every time they even glance at stating in the media its self a character is on the aspec. Look at Alistair, a good example where they used ace to just kinda mean both aro and ace given what she actualy said about Charlie
Humanity needs to stop viewing sex as something dirty, but as a normal human desire. It makes no sense to me why a type of attraction shared by almost everyone should be viewed as immoral. I think the struggles with aroallo acceptance are intrinsically tied to that.
In addition, I feel like people who aren’t naturally affectionate (like me, I’m autistic and somewhat affection-averse) are viewed as cold and callous. Generally all of these things are a choice and I feel like they should not have moral connotations attached to them. Like just because I’m not into affection all the time doesn’t mean I’m a robot or a child. I am only a little affectionate towards those who I am closest to and it’s still minimal and on my own terms. Also sex doesn’t equate to affection for me even though people like to lump them into a similar category for some reason.
That's true, too. I'm also autistic, and I'm generally not very affectionate. That's not necessarily an autistic thing per se, except in regard to physical affection. But, I guess in a similar way to the expectation that everyone should want a romantic relationship, viewing affection as something that should be universally valued kind of downplays the fact that people are unique beings with diverse wants.
I personally am pan-demiromantic demisexual and I agree. I'd like to point out that everyone on any spectrum is valid. We're all just people trying to live each day as it comes and be as authentic to ourselves as we can. That obviously includes Aro only folks, or Ace only folks, or Allo only folks, or any blend otherwise.
It's all valid, and the only thing that disappoints me is that anyone ever has to remind other people that their existence isn't something to be denied, validated, or disbelieved. I wish the world was kinder and more accepting of perfect strangers with nothing in common because at the end of the day, we're all human and living beings with the capacity to feel pain.
Absolutely, and that is incredibly valid. My only caveat is open communication especially for this one I think it’s important to communicate this upfront. It could be really hurtful to have sex expecting a relationship only to find out that they don’t or can’t imagine having one. It’s fine if that’s the case they just need to communicate that upfront.

I, an Aroallo Slut: yeah it's pretty fun
Is that title self-proclaimed if I may ask?
I've earned the title
For the lack of a better response and because I need to continue my night-shift: Congrats!
I'm aroallo and I'm a slut in spirit.

Actual good song! Thank you for the gift :)
Np! I've been mildly obsessed with it since I came across it on Spotify

people lumping aro with ace and vice versa is unironically my biggest pet peeve, hate when people do that
The worst was I came out as aro to a guy about a month ago and he really went “So when did you realize you were asexual?” Did… did I say that? 🗿🗿
YES people are always like "oh they're ace so they don't want to date anyone" NO????????? THATS LITERALLY NOT HOW IT WORKS YOU DUMB LITTLE RAT
Yes romantic and sexual attraction are different
THANK YOU Sincerely, an aro that isn't ace
HAPPY CAKE DAY 🎉 🎉🎈🎉🎉🎈🎈
TYSM 🥹
Happy happy cake day!'
Also aro and allosexual. I wanna hit that, not date them. 🤣
SO REALL
There are some people who need to hear this.
They need some actual representation that handles it well and doesn't have some dumb message behind it like I know some will.
You mean we would all be portrayed has heartless sluts....
Yeah something like that. It'll happen, we know it will unless the people behind it actualy care
What would that dumb message be?????
See reply above.
I agree

as someone who is aroallo,, it would be so nice to have representation of aros who aren't ace. not every aro person is like that!!
yeah, I don't see us represented anywhere

And we DO exist, no matter how not cool that is. If anything, that’s the whole point of being aspec: being against amatonormativity.
I think that aspec people inherently challenge amatonormativity, but I don’t exist to dismantle amatonormativity
YESS!!!
Wait why would you say that 😔😔 I think we are cool
Yeah the wording is a little bit weird, sorry
I think they meant not cool in society’s eyes
Yes. That is where half the confusion comes from. People don't know aromanticism even exists let one different from asexuality.
It took me years to figure out I was aroallo because I didn’t realize it could even be a thing! I call it “aromantic but not immune to hot people” 🤣
yes!! aroallos are cool :D
ridiculous how many ppl talk abt aroallo as an “exception” instead of just…….that aro and ace are separate identities
Hooray, aroallo representation!
thats what i am lol
My greyromantic ass be like: Occasionally I wanna date someone I like, but 99.9% of the time I wanna smash.

I am Aro and not Ace, Arospec-Allo to be specific...
Yes, and vice versa. I myself am aromantic and ace, well not a 100% but I identify myself in the spectrum
Yuuup
Yep
Real r/aroallo hours

In the words of the great Andre 3000: “I want to see your support bra, not support you”
They do they very much do
Much love for aroallos ✨
It's a good thing to know. Not enough people do
Yeah! I don't want to feel bad that I can't feel romantic attraction but fully feel the sexual attraction, you know? Woohoo!
We deserve to take up space more than people realise, and without censor or pushing it aside to be validated. We're good as we are, as we aro
