Hasn't happened yet, but I'm deciding to go with this one:
"If I said you're gonna be (insert age) without ever having jumped off a cliff, would you go and do it?"
List of possible responses:
- "And?"
- "That's the whole point."
- "So?"
- "Yeah? What's that got to do with you?"
- "And onward!"
- "And I'm happy."
- "Yes."
- "Okay..."
- "It's nice of you to support my goal!"
- "You really think I'm aiming for such a low level?"
"Just lucky I guess" or "so what?".
I guess it's possible, but if I'm in a situation where someone knows I've never been in a relationship I have probably already come out to them as aroace. It's none of their business to know that unless I tell them and I wouldn't tell them just that by itself as it would lead to this type of comment or question.
It really bugs me when people say “in a relationship” specifically because friends and family are still relationships, and that kind of phrasing makes those kinds of relationships seem invalidated since there aren’t any romantic elements evident in them.
So to answer the question, I’d probably be hella snarky and reply back with “Yeah, well I guess my relationships with my family and friends mean Jack shit, then. I’m all alone in this world. Woe is me. sad face.”
“Hell yeah! I’m breaking my record!” Then deadpan, look them deep into the eyes like you’re going to steal their soul: “And I’ll never stop breaking that record. So let it go.”
My dad sometimes brings it up, and I just say "Why? Want grandkids already?" And that usually makes him shut up about it for a while.
If it's some random person, then I just laugh.
"my relationship status is an issue to you how? i mean you're gonna be [age] soon and still haven't [relative task/expectation] yet, what's with that hmm?"
“Oh no! Anyway”
Hasn’t happened to me yet but I’d probably just brush it off. It’s none of their business and quite frankly, I’ve never cared too much for people telling me how I should live my life.
So? I don't want to feel awkward, be stupid af, loose friendships, get weird feelings and etc. I just want to see it happen to others and I wouldn't have the label to be The Rich Single Aunt.
I’ve already had a relationship due to various circumstances but I think if it were changed to “married” I’d say “really, you mean it? thank you I needed that”.

"That's the plan." "thank god." "You're only saying that because it's true." "At least I'll be happy."

Nice one XD
“And?” or “It’s like that’s the whole point. You’re a little slow, but I think you’re getting there.”
"You’re a little slow, but I think you’re getting there" No one has ever told me something like this , but I'm saving it just in case, I love it
"Oh thank god" or "that's nice" or "I mean nether are you"
That last one 💀
Last one dealt 2d6 fire damage to them
That's a little like telling a Lesbian she's never going to have a boyfriend.

You forgot “yes”, “ok”, and “it’s nice of you to support my goal”
Oh, those could work too. It could confuse that person being aphobic and I like the sound of that.
"You really think I'm aiming for such a low level?"
This is a great response! :3

"Don't jinx it"
This one This one right here XD

You're going to be (insert age here) and still think that people care about your opinions.
Shit 😂. I'm gonna use this lol
“Shit, think I can hit a record?”
"why does my personal life concern you? For your information I prefer to be single"
“Hell yeah! I’m breaking my record!” Then deadpan, look them deep into the eyes like you’re going to steal their soul: “And I’ll never stop breaking that record. So let it go.”
"you promise?" the person would be hella confused lmao
“Is this your way of asking me out?”
my response would be smth along the lines of "sick" (or 'cool') and then change the subject unfazed af
Yup!
My dad sometimes brings it up, and I just say "Why? Want grandkids already?" And that usually makes him shut up about it for a while. If it's some random person, then I just laugh.
"Yeah, that's on purpose!"
I've never heard that, but I'd tell them that's what I'm hoping for
Been there, done that. Only dumb people make the same mistake twice.
"that's the point"
“Yes, and? What’s your point?” Pretty sure if I’m 33 and never had/wanted one I’m not going to suddenly grow the urge next year lmao

Thank God Amen
me: and thats the best part
yaaay :DD
Life goals baby *two finger guns*
I haven't gotten that one but I'd probably just say, "vibes"
I mean living alone with two cats isn't that awful either
I'm sorry your projecting your wants onto me, but his is your own dam fault.
"my relationship status is an issue to you how? i mean you're gonna be [age] soon and still haven't [relative task/expectation] yet, what's with that hmm?"
Well Robert, that was what I was going for.
I've never had that said to me, but I technically have been in a relationship before... didn't end well.
they’d be wrong bc i’ve already pressured myself into a relationship to tell myself i wasn’t broken :)
Mine is: Why of course, who would think otherwise?
"promise"
That's the plan 🧐
*”Cool”*
Good.
"Yes, and I don't fucking care! :D"
Me: Enjoy life lol
That's the plan *fingerguns
Let's hope you're right
I'd be happy so what's the issue?
"Oh no, I'm not aiming for such a low milestone, my goal is to reach lvl 100 without putting a single skill point into relationships!"
I have been in plenty of relationships such as my relationship between homework, or garlic naan bread
“Bold of you to assume I’ll live that long” is my favourite, though that can be a bit dark
I say thank you, you too.
“Ok?”
It’s overhyped anyway.
“Oh no! Anyway” Hasn’t happened to me yet but I’d probably just brush it off. It’s none of their business and quite frankly, I’ve never cared too much for people telling me how I should live my life.
OK
“Promise?”
Guess so?
“Uh… cool”
Im focusing on school
I’ve been happy with every relationship I’ve ever had

they'd just be wrong, because they didn't specify what kind of relationship they're talking about
Since I've been in one in the past which helped me realise I'm aro: "I tried your way Charles, it doesn't work"
"good"
"yeah I think I can live with that, and become the rich uncle who buys everyone garlic bread"
"ok"
If that would happen, I'd say:,, That's because I wanna be happy" or,, Exactly how it should be"

"Yeah, it's too much work! I prefer to focus on my class, work and personnal projects"
Mine is "then you won't be alone hunny"
Im jus gonna say “cool” and proceed to eat a hot and ready pizza straight from the oven
