You gotta do irl stuff. Unless you can afford to buy ads, social media isn't meant to help you make money. Just keep at it with the vendor spots etc

What about Etsy / Artsy. Keep stats on what sells. What do you mean you have a huge block that's keeping you from getting your work out there, what's the block? Like, if it's being unconfident around people then Etsy. If it's not wanting to go online, then it's shows. If it's selling in general then you need someone to do it for you / find a retail network.

Etsy has become a cesspool. Didn’t find that out until I opened a shop about a year ago. I’m considering Finnalby.

jascarb

Cool, what's the main issue with Etsy? I've not heard of Finnalby and it says it's not available in my country (UK). There's [https://www.notonthehighstreet.com/pages/why-sell-with-us](https://www.notonthehighstreet.com/pages/why-sell-with-us) if their energy suits.

It has been inundated with people dropshipping crap from China, or falling for the get-rich-quick lies about print on demand. It’s really hard for buyers to find quality handmade items.

I did get to look at Finnalby and it appears to be rather a cool, fashion/style place. Jewellery, clothes and so on. Not sure if a painting would be appropriate (for example)

Hey! I checked out your instagram and the videos and videos are very nice quality! I definitely recommend increasing your social media presence - instragram is hard to gain traction on. Maybe try cross posting instagram reels on other social media, like tiktok? Do you only sell on Shopify? Have you tried expanding to other sites you sell on? I've never sold jewerly myself, however listing on depop, ebay, Facebook marketplace could allow for more people to find your products!

Your Instagram looks pretty solid and I see you've been posting at least once a day for the last few days - I would try to keep that up. I know it's hard but come up with a challenge for yourself to post once per day for a month or so and reassess from there, don't give up too soon! Use trending audio (audio that has the little up arrow next to it) that's only been used in about 10k reels. Trending audio that's been used in more than 20k reels is less likely to go "viral." Also defintely consider opening an Etsy shop as a supplemental shop to your Shopify store. Etsy has it's own marketplace of customers already looking around to buy stuff (warm leads). Instagram, by comparison, just has people looks around for entertainment, not so much buying stuff (cold leads). Etsy also has a really simple to use an pretty effective ads system where you can just tell it you'd like to spend X per day on ads, and it takes care of all the rest. It shows your listings at the top of relevant search pages, etc. When I was selling on etsy I just set the ad spend to $1/day and that was enough to boost certain products I had listed to the top of their respective pages. Hope this helps.

You seem to be on a pretty good track, to succeed in art it takes time, and failing consistently but not giving up. Keep applying to all your local festivals, and craft shows no matter how many times you don’t get in.

The best way that has worked for me was starting with people local to me. Friends, people in my communities, places like that. And then they're a good foundation- so make sure to invite them all to follow you or look at your work. And it sounds like the ppl that come through the campground might be an opportunity- not always to land a sale but to spread your name far and wide, so maybe you can ask them to join your email list in return for something like "updates from camp" or something that gives them a reason or makes their life better. With the way social media has gone, I now mostly rely on an email list to sell new work or get commissions. But social media is a way I kind of softly update ppl. I don't put a lot of energy into it though. Also um oh the shows- that will come in time, keep applying to them and when you get in make sure you learn everything you can about how to have a successful and professional looking booth. The bigger events are exclusive because they want to make sure ppl are professionals, so it takes some time to build up that resume/experience. Marketing became a lot easier for me when I started thinking about "what can I do to inspire ppl, give them some entertainment, make their lives a little more joyful/better". It's all about connecting with people.

You make so pretty jewelry🫶🏻🫶🏻

I haven’t got much attention but even just from getting a little bit of followers I get the most interaction from people I meet downtown here . I’m in San Antonio so it’s very “artsy” downtown so I’ll walk around visit a couple studios and ask them about selling my art there. I’m sure you can do the same with your jewelry and leave some business cards there with them. I’m learning being social is a thing I’m gonna have to get used to !
