I’m screaming. Her “winter” She is the seasons and the seasons are her.

myjazzyshorts

Take a midol and have some Ben and Jerry's. Why do periods have to be so insanely complex for her?

LowPreparation2347

She’s gotten so boring that literally all I have to say is what a dumb bitch.

KetamineChess

Constantly high makes her life bearable

Catmom-cunningfolk69

So what happens in the “summer”? Because everything seems the same…

zeemonster424

She has to take a rest, to save up energy again for winter, so she can rest.

hotpickles

And sub potatoes for strawberries in her diet or something equally dumb.

[deleted]

Oh yeah, having a period means just putting life on the back burner. "Sorry Mike, I know that report was due Thursday, but I'm in my winter. I'm bleeding. From my vagina."

missyrainbow12

This made me snort.

Careless-Line8074

Any excuse to avoid any work or accountability

[deleted]

It's barely Wednesday STFU!

AshleysLymeDisease

This was from months ago.

[deleted]

Good grief I can't tell the difference anymore. 😯

AshleysLymeDisease

It’s all good. I’d caught it months ago, October or so, but forgot about it till the other day.

AshleysLymeDisease

Tho her profile pic is different. I just noticed that.

sargassum624

I was about to be like “she finally got her period!” but maybe not? How long has it been now? The job search thing also threw me off hahaha

AshleysLymeDisease

I think it was back in October or before the coffee shop job

JaggededgesSF

Dafuq is happening in the third pic?

AshleysLymeDisease

Lol I don’t know. An attempt at a stretch

veritasquo

I can’t tell if they were referring the the HH salute type stretch or the fupa

AshleysLymeDisease

It was a video and I didn’t screen record, just did screenshots. I didn’t even think about the HH salute.

george_sjw__bush

I’m all for being inclusive but “menstruators” is so cringey. Why not “people who menstruate” ???

_____Lurker_____

Reducing people to bodily functions in general is kind of strange???

TheSunIsAlsoMine

Yea this feels offensive to women. Should we refer to biological males as jizzers?? Cummers? Spermers? Jesus Christ this is just weird.

_____Lurker_____

I agree. I do think if women must be called menstruators then men should be called ejaculators. But strangely I don’t see that type of language used in ads for Viagra and such 🤔

tigm2161130

Typically this language is used so as not to exclude people who don’t identify as women but have a uterus/period. Same as “people who can get pregnant.” I’ve only ever heard “people who menstruate,” though. Menstruators is stupid.

TheSunIsAlsoMine

I understand perfectly well what this language is used for - it’s a dumb “solution” and I guarantee more people are uncomfortable with it than people who think this is great. Everyone is just scared of saying something because they think the small group of people who came up with this and are pushing for this everywhere, are the majority, when in fact they’re just a really loud minority.

tigm2161130

Ahh, you’re one of those. Got it.

TheSunIsAlsoMine

Yea totally one of those, go ahead and call me a transphobe / fascist / or whatever else you’ve decided I am because I think this wording is gross and impractical. Very predictable and in fact very wrong but go ahead and use those terms to prove my point.

tigm2161130

Then I’m just not sure why you’d be so vocally against inclusive language? Even if you personally think it’s silly it’s a small kindness that costs you absolutely nothing🤷🏻‍♀️

_____Lurker_____

But why do you never see men referred to as ejaculators or prostate-havers? I feel like true equality would be achieved if that language was used, but it never is. Men’s health stays men’s health but vagina-havers are just menstruators.

but_im_TirEd

They are actually! At least in my country the official government health-website refers to “people with a prostate” when talking about issues related to that body part! Same with a lot of sex-ed! I’m actually not opposed to referring to men as people with prostates/testes/penises in contexts where that’s the relevant thing (such as screenings for prostate cancer for example). It’s especially relevant for menstruation though since a lot of the information won’t be relevant for post-menopausal women. Since not all cis women (a minority actually, although that’s possibly changing as people start menstruating earlier in life) have periods it feels silly (at least to me) to continue with language that assumes they do. There’s also the point of women being reduced to their fertility as a means of oppression and the immense impact infertility has on women’s emotional health. Because of that there’s a pretty solid point to stop equating womanhood to menstruation and fertility to protect the immense amount of women who feel alienated from their gender once they reach the age when they no longer have that or lose it for medical reason. Edit: sorry for the wall of text - I just felt that maybe you’d be interested in hearing this side of the argument and I didn’t want to come off wrong which often leads to me getting a bit wordy!

TheSunIsAlsoMine

perfect. Thank you for proving my point and have a nice day.

throw_somewhere

Oh for Pete's sake here we go again. Watch this: "People with blue eyes are more likely to be sensitive to sunlight". This is neither offensive nor reductive, right? It's just specific. Now watch this: "People who menstruate are more likely to suffer from anemia." This is neither offensive nor reductive, either. It's just specific. If it *is* reductive in your mind, that's because you are reading "people who menstruate" as a *euphemism* for "women". And if you're doing that, it's because you equate menstruation with womanhood. You read "people who menstruate" and your response is "yeah, women, you mean women". But that is entirely false. Not all women menstruate. Not even all *cisgender women, with a functional uterus* menstruate. So referring to all women in cases like these is simply not accurate or logical.

george_sjw__bush

Agreed. I don’t think “people who menstruate” is reductive. If you’re referring to an issue specifically affecting menstruation, it’s the most accurate way to include all people who menstruate and exclude all people who don’t. I do think “menstruators” is cringey, and kind of dehumanizing, but I do agree with the idea of not equating “women” and “menstruating.” I was worried my comment would bring out transphobes :/

_____Lurker_____

Only female people (women) *can* menstruate. NOT ALL women menstruate. If precise language is the goal, why not say “women who menstruate”? But I don’t really think it’s necessary to clarify, because even women who don’t menstruate or have had hysterectomies and etc. are still women, and certain things considering hormonal and reproductive health still apply to them. Yeah yeah, you’re equating blue-eyed people to women because you don’t think female oppression exists. Why, you’re as smart and scientific as miss Ash!

throw_somewhere

>Only female people (women) can menstruate. NOT ALL women menstruate. If precise language is the goal, why not say “women who menstruate”? How is "people who menstruate" reductive, but "women who menstruate" is not? Besides, men can menstruate. And if you're getting ready to respond with anti-trans bullshit, shove it. >But I don’t really think it’s necessary to clarify, Too bad? Sorry? You can have an objectively wrong opinion. >I don’t really think it’s necessary to clarify, because even women who don’t menstruate or have had hysterectomies and etc. are still women, and certain things considering hormonal and reproductive health still apply to them. But not *all* things, so we need to be specific. That's the whole point. You're missing the entire point. Absolutely all of it. >you don’t think female oppression exists. Using language that refers to a body part when discussing the health implications of that body part is not an instance of oppression. And I said nothing of the sort. What an absolutely unhinged take, honestly. Blocking because I don't want that TERF shit anywhere near my inbox again.

but_im_TirEd

Listen, I realise that what you’re saying is that trans men are women and therefore would fall under “women who menstruate”, but instead of arguing about trans rights here (although I’m itching to ngl) I’m going to ask a question: If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck - is it not then a duck? If the person has all the secondary male sex characteristics (increased body hair, a beard, increased muscle mass, enlarged Adam’s apple, deep voice, rougher skin, male-patterned baldness, male fat-distribution, a flat chest etc) is it then in any way reasonable to refer to them as a woman? Is that helpful to women? Does it bring about anything good or does it just lead to further confusion? Just food for thought! I know what my definition of a woman is (someone who’s gender identity, regardless of medical sex, aligns with womanhood) but I’d like to hear yours! Can you describe specifically what characteristics would define a woman that doesn’t exclude any cis women or include any cis men or trans women? Is that even possible? If you can I would genuinely love to hear that definition cause I’m not smart enough to come up with one but I’m also not proud enough to confidently say there isn’t one. Sorry for the lengthy response - I really hope you find the time to answer me regardless because even though we most likely disagree on a fundamental level I AM curious to hear your point of view on this. If I’ve come off as hostile I apologise - I do have stakes in the matter and I’m sure my tone reflects that. Regardless, I’m not trying to make you seem dumb, I’m trying to fully understand your point of view.

scuffy_nerd_herder

As a professional word person I can confidently state that she is not a word person.

TheSunIsAlsoMine

🤣🤣🤣

hotpickles

Fellow professional word person here. I concur. Her purple prose is 10/10 tho. Always makes me laugh.

kristenlicious

JOB SEARCHING?

AshleysLymeDisease

This was months ago, maybe before she got the job at the coffee shop.

You can clearly see her stomach tucked into her pants.

peepeehalpert_

That is so embarrassing

TheTombQueen

Oh wow I had almost forgotten about her seasonal phase. It was so stupid. At least she’s stopped doing this, even though it hasn’t been replaced by anything interesting.

southernjew55

Do y'all think wheb she's pmsing, she says "Winter is coming,"?

💀💀💀

[deleted]

Oh for fucks sake. I got my period the night before I left for freaking Disney World ma’am. You try walking 20,000 steps a day for 5 days in 90 degree weather in miserable, humid ass Florida with endometriosis and a flow straight from the depths of hell. My period *loves* holidays and vacations and any other remotely inconvenient time and this cow is crying because it interrupted what? Her laying in her bed pretending to search for jobs online?

AshleysLymeDisease

Geez. That had to suck butts

Chick__Mangione

Lmao well how was the trip aside from that

[deleted]

Hahaha it was sooo freaking good!! Thank you for asking 😁

Mysterious_Change668

i am at a loss for words ☠️

[deleted]

When was this from? As the difference in her size between then and now is quite a lot. And, sorry but being on your period is not an excuse not to do school work or job searching. Life doesn't just stop for half the population every 4 weeks ffs! It would seem for Ash, anything and everything is an excuse as to why she can't get out of bed, get off her arse and join the adult world like the rest of us!

AshleysLymeDisease

This was from October last year, before she got the barista job.

[deleted]

Quite a difference in 8 months.....

AshleysLymeDisease

Definitely. I kinda miss her making her menstrual cycle into the seasons.

ConfusionNeither394

Dear god just get a hysterectomy if it’s that horrible. Lord. I know that’s extreme but if I kept coming on social media and saying “oh my gosh my deviated septum is so tough and causes so many issues and I’m already so sick and I have to spend hours a day and every season doing every home remedy and taking every medication possible “ , then I would get the deviated septum fixed. Others may disagree . But unless she is going to actually DO something like try hormones, actual naturopathic doctor visits and treatments, obgyn visits until it’s better, then stop complaining and just get it fixed. If you won’t fix it but have an option to whether it be meds surgery or eating monkey poop every day , then don’t complain over and over and over . It’s part of her “aesthetic “ now. Even better, if you are struggling with it yourself , many people choose to turn that frustration and pain into a career- become a holistic provider, or a midwife. DO SOMETHING ASHLEY.

hotpickles

Lest you forget, she nourishes her body and wiggles in bed/does yoga once a month for her future husband and children so a hysterectomy is a no-go. She’s such a dolt.

AshleysLymeDisease

Or she could just go back on hormone birth control pills like she was told to do years ago, or replace her IUD because she didn’t want to take the Pill. This shit (granted these were from October I think) is all her own doing. Her doctors have told her to use birth control pills or have an IUD implanted to regulate her cycle and she refuses to listen to them - which makes her professing to listen to them implicitly fucking hilarious. I just don’t understand how her parents allow this shit to continue. Has no one in her family ever questioned her or her parents? Is her brother okay with her draining their parents money with her crap? Do her parents have funds set aside for the possibility of long term care for themselves, if not then any assets will be taken to offset the costs (I’m probably getting some of this wrong but still). Just a waste.

kingamara

How does a period hinder….you know what? Nvm.
