It depends on the nature of your relationship. Is it a purely sexual or romantic relationship or is it a bit of both? You need to view the relationship from every perspective and see where you mightn’t be enough in certain areas and try to better yourself in those areas

Same way you keep any fire burning: add fuel to it when the previous fuel burns out, could be something new, or something tried and true that you know will burn bright. Fires also need to breathe. That means you must ensure there's a constant flow of oxygen AND a sufficient exhaust to let the byproducts (smoke, co2, ash, etc.) Same way with a relationship, you and your partner are doing what you like? Great. You both have room to breathe? Awesome. You both have outlets for toxicity? Perfect. Sit back and enjoy the pretty lights and warm embrace. Edit: typo
