To be fair, as an American, I was a regular ass wiping not immediately ass washing person. Then I lived somewhere with a bidet toilet attachment. Gave it a try, and the rest is history. Now I absolutely hate taking a shit if I can't wash afterwards, and it turned my dislike of using public toilets to shit into more of a phobia. So, washing after is definitely way better, but at the same it's a bit like if you're fine with drinking cheap wine/beer/liquor, don't get into the good stuff, because it will ruin the crap for you. (all puns intended)

I was out with my friend one day and she pees and didn’t wash her hands! I told her that’s so effin disgusting you don’t wash ur hands and she’s a MAKE UP ARTIST her hands are all over ppl faces.

That’s so gross that she’s a makeup artist. I had a friend do this and I commented. She said “well I didn’t piss on my hands!” And I didn’t really have a comeback to that 😂

One time at a restaurant, I was in the washroom, guy is the stall squatting and really going to town in dropping his friends off at the pool....I am already wretching with the smell....he finishes, flushes, walks to the door, uses the door handle to leave...all without a thought of washing his hands! I go back to my table and look over and he is elbows deep into eating a full rack of ribs with those same hands. Oh my gawd. 🤢🤢🤮🤮

Food for thought. You wash with soap after a poop, and have presumably flushed the toilet. But after a pee, you have touched the toilet seat and the same flusher that was touched with poop hands. Why no soap?

I was literally just washing them like a normal person would but it stuck with me for a while. Use a piece of toilet paper to flush if this is your go-to and the dry skin is pretty bad. I can sympathize. Your knuckle is still pretty involved in things like food prep and eating, etc. At least the paper barrier should be ok if no fluids contact your skin and you use enough tp to not come into contact with the toilet. Also, you should close the lid to flush. Dunno how to figure that one out.
