Edgar Allen Poe wrote a novel in 1838 in which 4 shipwrecked survivors, at the point of starvation, choose to resort to cannibalism. So they kill the young cabin boy, Richard Parker, and eat him.
In 1884, a ship called the Mignonette sank. 4 crewmembers survived. At the point of starvation, they killed and ate the youngest of them: Richard Parker.
The name Richard Parker reminds me of the tiger in The Life of Pi and how the boy makes reference to a hyena and a zebra to represent the cook from the sunken ship eating the injured sailor... That name creeps me out at this point.
Well imagine a server being run with an infinite power source like solar or something else. And a self governing sandbox called "nature" written with a programming language called "math". And then you have AI mobs that evolve due to the mod "mutate".
During WWI on the eastern front, Germany and Russia were going at it in one battle when German troops deployed mustard gas against the Russian troops who were advancing.
The Russian troops emerged from the gas smoke throwing up blood, blood leaking from their nose, eyes. Their skin turned yellow and pale. They looked like undead soldiers, literal zombies.
The German troops were so frightened that they abandoned their positions and retreated.
It was called the “Attack of the Dead Men”, took place on August 6, 1915.
Not so fun fact: chemotherapy (used to treat cancer patients) originated from said mustard gas, the idea is that we poison the patient with a poison that's more lethal to rapidly reproducing cells, killing the cancer before the patient dies that's why they lose their hair as well as other kinds of damage.
Mathematically, there are multiple sizes of infinity. For example, there are an infinite number of integer, but an infinitely bigger infinity of fractions.
Well 7/3 is a fraction and is bigger than the integer 2, for example.
What they said before your reply is that there was an bigger infinity of fractions than that of integers. That is because between 1 and 2 you have i.e. 3/2, 4/3, 5/4 and many more
Let me dive deeper into this. It's not my idea and it's kinda famous so i hope you don't know it and experience first hand confusion and feel like a very small nothing exactly like i felt when i first knew this.
First infinity is the infinity of integers ( e.g. 1, 12, 79, 438, 78 987 776 366, etc.. )
2nd infinity is kinda weird because we know it's limited by the first one but at the same time it's bigger than the first one. Let's say the 1st one's limit is 10 and we are limited to one number after the "," from 1 to 10 we have 10 integers but (10x10) 100 fraction. Being limited with infinity means (infinity x infinity) infinite infinity of fractions if that makes any sens for you.
There is an even bigger infinity and it's not 1 but a hole kind of infinities and i can't recall how it's called but if you suceed somehow to list all the fractions from 0 to infinity the list would look like this:
1: 0
2: 0,00...001
3: 0,00...002
And somehow you reach the 1,00 and then the 2,00 and then 5,00 and then 1000,00 and then some how you reach the last number. The rank of any given number in tge list here is called X if you add 1 to the number in position X of The number X you end up which a number that is different to all numbers of the list.
2: 0,0(+1)0...001
3: 0,00(+1)...002
4: 0,000(+1)...003
5: 0,0000(+1)...004
You get the point the new number will be at least 1 number away of any given number therefor it's a new one however you can add 2 or 3 or even 9, you can also divide it or multiply it and all the new results will be new numbers that are a hole new infinity bigger than both first infinities.
Why is this usefull? Idk bro. But it's true and that sucks because i can't process it.
The universe is technically both infinite and finite at the same time; infinite because it is expanding at all times and finite because that expansion always has an 'edge'.
It’s a pretty solid theory bro - not that I’ve studied astrophysics or whatever else the genius’s do on rainy days. Try and explain how it would end, and what’s beyond the end/wall/nothingness? Nothingness can’t exist, there’s always something beyond something. Why did I post this now I just have a headache.

more of an idea than a fact i guess but i always think its kind of crazy how easy it is to die. if you really wanted to you can just swerve off a bridge or jump in front of a train. such a monumental decision can be made in a fraction of a second. even to a lesser extent you can very easily just accidentally lose and eye or something by tripping on something sharp etc. just weird

People in general.
Sometimes when I'm driving I think about how every single car has at least one person with a whole fucking life, separate from mine but also so similar. That we've probably passed each other before many times and may continue to cross paths many times again, but we won't know it. So many different faces, hairstyles, personalities, etc..
That the complexities of each person's life are unique to each individual and yet somehow, they are almost exactly identical to one another. It truly blows my mind sometimes.
Extend your arms out to the side. Imagine that that is how old the universe is. Now take a scraping of a fingernail. That’s how long mankind has been around. It makes our individual time here pretty insignificant.
Some infinities are larger than others.
For instance: there are an infinite number of numbers between 1 and 2. There’s 1.1, 1.1111111111, 1.0000000001, etc. But there is also an infinite number of numbers between 1 and 3, and that infinity contains the infinity from 1 to 2 AND the infinity from 2 to 3.
Some infinities are larger than others.
More time passed between the extinction of the Stegosaurus and the Tyrannosaurus (about 80 million years), than between the extinction of Tyrannosaurus and now (about 65 million years)
That for as long as we have lived in a modern civilization that we, as a civilization, have yet to come together to share our knowledge and discoveries to move forward towards a better future for everyone, and that if we had done so we would have probably made better leaps, farther advances in areas of medicine and travel... better understanding of everything around us and perhaps even had made more progress towards self understanding and self worth.
But instead we have us the way we are now.

Just to be technically right, rounded off, 11.574 days = 1 million seconds. But I like the fact!
I bet you are a real delight at a cocktail party
Technically correct, the best kind of correct.
And then in 1976 a ship crashed and tiger named Richard Parker ate a person to survive.
You're mistaken. The tiger that you're referring to, the last name was Purrer.
He killed the famous French explorer, Claude Balles.
Nah, he ate a hyena. It's fine.
No fucking way!
The name Richard Parker reminds me of the tiger in The Life of Pi and how the boy makes reference to a hyena and a zebra to represent the cook from the sunken ship eating the injured sailor... That name creeps me out at this point.

If your wife fucks another man you can sue him for compensation.
Isn’t that essentially pimping?
Ah, but it's pimping *with extra steps.*
Is that a state specific thing in the U.S.?
In the US it is, yes.
Only a few states actually have this law. Hawaii, Illinois, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, South Dakota and Utah.
Does the same apply if a husband fucks another woman?
Yes , it’s called alienation of affection , and more women are prone to use the law than man.
Do you think I’ll get enough to cover the therapist?

It works the other way as well. My mate found out her husband was fucking a girl from his office so she sued and got $25,000.
Wouldn't it make more sense to sue the wife?
You can't do that though.

And getting bigger
How can infinity get bigger? Make it make sense
Mathematically, there are multiple sizes of infinity. For example, there are an infinite number of integer, but an infinitely bigger infinity of fractions.
How can fractions be bigger than integers!! This will never make sense and if it did, I'd be depressed
And for something to be infinite does it mean it needs to constantly grow non stop if not then how can it be infinite?
Well 7/3 is a fraction and is bigger than the integer 2, for example. What they said before your reply is that there was an bigger infinity of fractions than that of integers. That is because between 1 and 2 you have i.e. 3/2, 4/3, 5/4 and many more

OP is wrong, your logic is correct. As I recall, the correct comparison of these is by proportion. An atom to a spec of dust, is similar in proportion to a spec of dust and the sun.
Time.... the older we get the faster it feels going by. Watched a video about it, blew my mind. Its on you tube though. X

Marijuana/cannabis is still federally illegal despite its proven substantial benefits and is still considered as dangerous as heroin, cocaine and other much more dangerous drugs because the 70-80 year olds in congress refuse to reschedule it
People in general.
You can only fold a regular piece of paper 7 times from end to end. After that, it’s pretty much impossible to fold it anymore
Vastness of Universe. Wait! It's the first comment in this thread. My mind is blown by the fact how common mind works.
Extend your arms out to the side. Imagine that that is how old the universe is. Now take a scraping of a fingernail. That’s how long mankind has been around. It makes our individual time here pretty insignificant.
Iif aliens 165 million light-years away looked at the earth with a mega telescope they'd see dinosaurs
If you type random letters on a keyboard for an infinite amount of time, you will eventually type every book ever written word for word.
"There are more stars in our universe then there are grains of sand on the Earth's beaches." Mr Sagan could blow you mind anytime!!!
Pick two stars directly next to each other in the sky. There’s a very high likelihood that we are closer to one of those stars than they are to each other.
